Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keaktifan mahasiswa dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan, mengetahui  korelasi  antara  keaktifan  dalam  organisasi  kemahasiswaan  dengan  prestasi  belajar mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin,  Jurusan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas  Teknik  Universitas  Negeri  Semarang  angkatan  2005,  2006,  dan  2007.  Sampel  penelitian  sebanyak  81 mahasiswa.  Data  dianalisis  menggunakan  korelasi  sederhana.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  bahwa  keaktifan mahasiswa  dalam  organisasi  kemahasiswaan  tergolong  sedang.  Hasil  penelitian  ini  juga menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara keaktifan dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Dari penelitian  ini  disarankan  agar mahasiswa  lebih dapat memanfaatkan organisasi  kemahasiswaan  sebagai  sarana pengembangan diri. Kata kunci : keaktifan, organisasi kemahasiswaan, prestasi belajar. The objectives of this research are to identify the activeness of students in student affairs organization, to find out the correlation between the activeness of students in the organization and their achievement of study in academic life. Population of the research was the students of Mechanical Engineering Education program, Mechanical  Engineering  department,  Faculty  of  Engineering,  Semarang  State University  year  2005,  2006,  and 2007. The sample of the research was 81 students. The data was analyzed using simple correlation. The result of it shows that the level of student activeness in student affairs organization is medium. It also shows that there is positive correlation between the activeness of students in student affairs organization and their achievement in study. It is sug‐gested to students for using student affairs organization as a self‐development medium.   Keywords: activeness, student affairs organization, the achievement of study

Abstract

A disruption in childhood who became frightened most mothers today is autism. According Hopes and Harris (in Berkell, 1992), a mother with an autistic child will experience greater stress than mothers with children who have mental  retardation due to loss of critical interpersonal responses in the autistic children. The purpose of the study The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support to adjustment in mothers of children with autism. And to find out how big the role of social support on adjustment to parents (mothers) of children with autism. The research subject of autistic children who were fostered (in therapy / consultation) in the institution "Ananda Mitra" Colomadu. The research sample is purposive sample because by certain characteristics. These characteristics are: 1) a minimum education level of parents of high school and 3) Domiciled in Surakarta Solo and the surrounding areas. Based on the results of the calculation of analytical techniques obtained Pearson product moment correlation coefficient (rxy) at = 0.573, p = 0.000 (p <0,01). These results indicate there is significant positive correlation between social support to adjustment in mothers of children with autism, because it can be interpreted that the social support variables can be used as predictors (independent variables) to predict or measure the adjustment in mothers of children autism.

Abstract

From this rapid evolutions of cyber world appears many new cultures in art styles, one of them is an anthropomorphic art style. This art style is already widely recognizable in the rest of the world. But in Indonesia, it is not that well-known; most of them are only recognize this kind of art just as a fable or mascot. The goal of this project is to make a book that is specified about anthropomorphic arts that can give the target citizens knowledge in anthropomorphic arts using kemono. The design was done with a qualitative approach, namely observations, interviews, and focus group discussions in order to formulate a concept in the design process. From the analysis, it was found that the majority of anthropomorphic art fans around the world are mainly teenager to adulthood, and it was proven that kemono is a distinct anthropomorphic style from Japan. Also, it was decided to use Si Kancil as a chosen famous fable as an example. After going through the process of data analysis, found the keyword as a design concept which is "Energic and Friendly" that means the anthropomorphic arts is filled with energy and active, while keep friendly toward others.

Abstract

The purpose of this Kampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo design branding is to preserve the product of local culture. The research is done with qualitative method research namely with take interview, observation, documentation, and literature to get the data that used as supports maker design concept branding. The data were analyzed with using several phase, that is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the data analysis were found several keyword that is refer to communication branding strategy which has using to get the goals on target audience. After do the analyze towards data, is founding a concept or keyword of design branding that is “Survival”. Concept description of Survival is a manifestation of struggle to survive the onslaught of all globalization of all. In this case “Survival” or struggle to survive is directed at how to maintain the product of local culture traditional batik tulis Kampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo are packed contemporary. The goals of package design contemporarly is to stay guard the local culture traditional batik tulis product in globalization era are demanded a fast paced, interest, and modern on global public at this time. The result of this branding design is to preserve local culture batik Jetis products.

Abstract

The design goal as preserving local products and a bridge to the limited information about the existence of traditional foods in Surabaya. Then the production of this book was done by interview, observation, literature and existing studies are useful for determining the design concept. Through analysis of the theme of concept design is obtained Rescue Culture. The concept of the stretcher to be a theme in the book-making, and taking pictures, which showed that most of the traditional food is all around us. Results of a book deal is expected to help increase public awareness that it is important to preserve the local product with regard to its existence.

Abstract

Amerta Sari Transport known as AS TRANS, is logistic transport specialized handling industrial distribution across islands trough Java and Bali. But, not all potentials logistic transport management and promoted  by innovative and creative concept, especially for branding new product to public. So, there are not many people knows the potential of AS TRANS Logistic. The goal of design to find out how to Designing Media Campaign of AS TRANS as an effort to mount Brand Awareness. The design is done with a qualitative approach, namely observation, deep interviews, content analysis and study exist in order to formulate a design concept. The data were analyzed research process dan understands and investigating social phenomena and people troubles with focus on real connection between researcher and subject research (Noor,2011:32). From the analysis, it was found that the uniqueness by AS TRANS has not fully lifted to a wide audience. Lack of promotional efforts and unknown Brand Identities to be one of the obstacles that make the brand potential has not been known. After going through the process of data analysis, found the keyword or concept design “Dinamic” its mean the person who had spirit, energy, self supporting and adaptable. In this case “Dinamic” described that put the needs and expectation of dynamic modern society, which the need of society that living a fully effective, efficient, fast and reliable. Fast strengthen the concept of satisfying customers. Where the audiens given stylish visual appearance of fantastical, imaginative thinking trough impossible things and is asked to actively and aggressive communication. The result are expected to raise some of the customers awareness of product AS TRANS Logistics.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at describing the process of creative thinking of the eight grade students of MTs NW Suralaga East Lombok  in the academic year of 2013/2014, who had personality type based on the Myer-Briggs personality dimensions, namely rational personality type (STR) and guardian personality type (STG) in the mathematics problems solving on Wallas steps, namely preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. The approach used descriptive qualitative approach in a case study. The data collection technique was conducted by using task based interview. The result showed that the procces of creative thingking on: (1) the STR students, namely: (a) the preparation, the students read APS (assignment problem solving) silently, observed the instructions and information carefully, and mentioned the known and the asked things in  reading once APS; (b) incubation, the students tend to be silent for a moment, the students do a contemplation activities, planned the problem solving, and took a long time to bring up the idea; (c) illumination, the students started by identifying the contained information in the APS, wrote how to solve the problem and continued by explaining the procedure of problem solving, the students established the steps to resolve the problem and got the idea by developing the idea of the previous answers; (d) verification, the students expressed orally the re-examination procedure of the answer, wrote the re-examination procedure, explained the re-examination procedure and explained the procedure again orally. (2) The STG students, namely: (a) the preparation, the students read the APS silently, and in a loud voice, mentioned the current issues in the APS, wrote the problems on the answer sheet, mentioned the known and the asked things of APS after a given follow-up questions; (b) incubation, the students tend to be silent, the students do a contemplation activities and arranged the plan of problem-solving when they were calm; (c) illumination, the students identified the information on APS and determined the attributes that were used to solve the problem, established the steps to resolve the problem, described the problem solving procedures, solved the problems by developing the idea from the previous idea; (d) verification, the students revealed and explained the re-examine procedure of the answer orally, wrote the re-examination procedure of the answer, observed and re-checked the problem solving that had been done.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, and Personality Type

Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this research was to know the effect of the learning models on the learning achievement and mathematics communication ability viewed from the spatial quotient. The learning models compared were Inquiry learning, Discovery learning and Classical model. The type of this study was a quasi-experimental study with a 3 x 3 factorial design. The study population was all grade VIII students of Junior High School in Solo city. Sample was collected by stratified cluster random sampling and consisted of 260 students which where divided into three groups,  86 students in Experimental Group 1, 86 students in Experimental Group 2, and 88 students in Control Group . The instruments of the research include mathematics achievement test, mathematics communication ability test and spatial intelligence test. The technique of analyzing data used the two-way multivariate analysis of variance with unbalanced cell. The results of this research could be concluded as follows ,  (1) Inquiry Learning and Discovery Learning have better learning achievement and mathematics communication ability aspects than the Classical learning, Besides that, Inquiry Learning and Discovery Learning  have the same learning achievement and mathematics communication ability; (2) The students with high spatial intelligence have the same learning achievement and mathematics communication ability as middle spatial intelligence. In addition, students who have high and middle spatial intelligence have better learning achievement and mathematics communication ability than students who have low spatial intelligence.; (3) In each learning model, the students with high and middle spatial intelligence have better learning achievement and mathematics communication ability than students who have low spatial intelligence, and the students with high and middle spatial intelligence have the same learning achievement and mathematics communication ability; (4) In each of the spatial intelligence, the cooperative learning model of Inquiry Learning and Discovery Learning give a better learning achievement and mathematics communication ability than the Classical model, and the cooperative learning model of Inquiry Learning and Discovery Learning give the same learning achievement and mathematics communication ability.Keywords: Inquiry Learning, Discovery Learning, Spatial Quotient, Learning Achievement, Mathematics Communication Ability.

Abstract

Abstract: the logical consequences of the differences between men and women in biology and psychology  point of view are seen in the lame of interaction of both in social context. The implication of all that ultimately determine the distinction of roles which was rooted in value systems, beliefs, political, social and economic. During the different roles that occurs while providing opportunities for both sexes to choose, the gender does not matter. However, if the roles are then to compartmentalize the options such that either of the sexes loses the right to vote, then this is where there are problems of gender. Related to this, the review of academic studies in a variety of perspectives on gender, feminist theory that many variations, has caused various reactions from all experts both from in the scientists, observers of women, activists and others who gathered in the one hole that does not end melee concept. But the way this feminist theory also get update as well as criticism from feminist themselves, such as the restoration of ecofeminism theory that attempt the feminist identity back into the nature.

Abstract

Globalisasi tidak hanya membawa perubahan positif bagi peradaban manusia, tapi lebih dari itu telah mengacaukan kemanusiaan manusia sehingga gesekan demi gesekan yang bernuansa negatif tak dapat dihindarkan. Potret kemanusiaan yang demikian telah menyadarkan para pemerhati pendidikan untuk menerapkan kembali pendidikan karakter untuk menyemai aspek-aspek rasa, simpati, dan empati bagi peserta didik. Dalam Undang-undang Pendidikan No. 14 Tahun 2005 misalnya, lembaga pendidikan diberikan amanat untuk mengembangkan serta mewujudkan kompetensi anak didik bukan dalam pencapaian prestasi kognitif saja, tapi lebih luas yaitu pendidikan dan pembelajaran pada semua mata pelajaran khususnya PAI agar anak didik mempunyai karakter berkepribadian luhur. Mata pelajaran PAI merupakan pelajaran yang erat kaitanya dalam membentuk karakter dan akhlak peserta didik. Berdasarkan hal ini, penulis tertarik untuk mengetahui bagaimana; pertama, penerapan Pendidikan Karakter Pada Bidang Studi PAI di Kelas VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013; kedua, kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan pendidikan berkarakter di kelas VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi pada bidang studi PAI Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013; dan ketiga, upaya-upaya yang dilakukan guru terkait kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter di kelas VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi pada bidang studi PAI Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013.
