Abstract

The title of this research is “The Effect of Quality of Human Resources Development (HRD) Against Economic Growth In Indonesia”. This research have aims to identify influence the quality of human resources, namely life expectancy, literacy rates, average length of the school and the per capita expenditure on economic growth in Indonesia during the period 2008-2012. This study used a descriptive quantitative method by using secondary data, panel data (cross section and time series), which is obtained from the office of the Central Bureau of Statistics of West Kalimantan. Analytical tools used to process the data is using Eviews 6. Observation of data as many as 165 of the 33 provinces in Indonesia during the period 2008 to 2012. The results of multiple regression of this study showed that the average length of a variable positive and significant effect of school towards economic growth in Indonesia. Variable life expectancy, per capita expenditure variable is not significant and positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. While the literacy rate variable is negative and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia.
