Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengalisa kebutuhan buku ajar Bahasa Inggris berdasarkan Project based Learning (PBL) untuk siswa Jurusan Usaha Perjalanan Wisata kelas X. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan dua macam instrumen untuk pengumpulan data yaitu berupa kuesioner dan wawancara. Aspek yang dinilai dari penelitian ini adalah hasil tanggapan dari kebutuhan buku Bahasa Inggris yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dan kurikulum dengan responden guru Bahasa Inggris dan siswa kelas X Jurusan Usaha Perjalanan Wisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Buku Bahasa Inggris sesuai dengan KI dan KD, (2) Topik yang ada di dalam buku perlu lebih menarik dan sesuai dengan jurusan yang mengangkat pariwisata lokal, (3) Siswa dan guru Bahasa Inggris memerlukan buku Bahasa Inggris yang berhubungan dengan jurusan Usaha Perjalanan Wisata yang berbasis proyek untuk dapat belajar secara mandiri dan meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris dengan praktek secara langsung.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan materi ajar Bahasa Inggris berbasis Project based Learning untuk siswa SMK Jurusan Usaha Perjalanan Wisata kelas X. Hal ini didasari oleh kenyataan bahwa materi yang ada di buku ajar Bahasa Inggris belum mencakup kompetensi jurusan. Project based Learning dipilih untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam penguasaan Bahasa Inggris dalam bentuk-bentuk projek kreatif. Untuk merancang materi ajar yang sesuai, terlebih dahulu peneliti melakukan analisis materi pada buku ajar yang digunakan. Peneliti juga memberikan angket kepada guru dan siswa untuk melihat persepsi mereka tentang materi pada buku. Selanjutnya, data akan dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Dari data yang diperoleh, materi yang dikembangkan meliputi 4 kemampuan dasar Bahasa Inggris yaitu listening, speaking, reading dan speaking dengan 4 tema khusus kepariwisataan yaitu akomodasi dan transportasi, tempat pariwisata lokal di Kabupaten dan Kota Blitar, food dan handicraft. Keabsahan materi diperoleh dari observasi lapangan yang dilakukan peneliti dan kemudian disinkronkan dengan kurikulum yang digunakan. Dengan penekanan materi ajar Bahasa Inggris berbasis Project based Learning, siswa Jurusan Usaha Perjalanan Wisata dapat secara aktif dan kreatif mengembangkan kompetensi khusus dan membantu meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris secara aktif.

Abstract

Communication ability becomes main parameter of the successfulness of English language learners in learning English. However, communication ability can not be acquired instantly, English learners need more practices and also strategies in communication. In addition communication ability also influenced by some factors such as target language proficiency, learning and communicating contexts, task types, gender differences and learners’ personality. Driven by this condition, this paper is aimed to discuss theoretical framework about communication strategies and its development since firstly proposed by Tarone (1977). This paper is beneficial for English language practitioner and English language learners, ELT researcher as well.

Abstract

This paper aims to develop ESP Supplementary book for mechanical engineering students in high level education. This is a Borg & Gall Research and Development (R&D) by using questionnaire and unstructured interview instrument. The research subject is 20 fourth semester students of mechanical engineering major in UNU Blitar. The limitation of this study is developing ESP supplementary book based PBL with engineering materials as the topic of the book. The process development of Engineering Materials Supplementary Book Based on ESP and PBL consists of some steps those are (1) Need analysis; (2) Product arrangement; (3) Product testing; and (4) Product revision if it is necessary. This research finds that the supplementary book is valid in three aspects of media (77.5%), content (83.3%) and language (83.3%) and feasible to use as supplement material for the mechanical engineering students. Based on the satisfaction questionnaire this product is appropriate for the mechanical engineering students to learn about English for Specific Purposes in form of Project Based Learning model implementation in percentage about 80% agree and 15% very agree.

Abstract

Para anggota PKK Desa Gaprang, Kecamatan Kanigoro, Kabupaten Blitar banyak yang memiliki anak usia belajar dan perlu pembimbingan. Pembimbingan tersebut tidak hanya di sekolah, tetapi juga di rumah. Sebagian orang tua memiliki keterbatasan berbahasa Inggris sederhana dan metode belajar bagi anak agar lebih mudah memahami dan mengaplikasikan bahasa Inggris dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sebagai jalan keluarnya, para orang tua lebih memilih untuk memasukkan anak ke lembaga kursus. Setelah melakukan pengamatan terhadap permasalahan yang ada, tim pengabdian melakukan pelatihan berbahasa Inggris kepada ibu-ibu PKK Desa Gaprang, Kecamatan Kanigoro, Blitar. Fokus pelatihan yaitu penguasaan bahasa Inggris sederhana, pembuatan media belajar kreatif, dan pelaksanaan metode pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat diterapkan di rumah. Tujuan dilakukan pelatihan bahasa Inggris ini yaitu untuk mengatasi masalah yang ada yakni keterbatasan orang tua terutama ibu dalam pendampingan anak dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggrisnya. Dari hasil pelatihan yang dilakukan didapatkan hasi berupa: (1) motivasi orang tua, terutama ibu lebih meningkat untuk mendampingi anak menguasai bahasa Inggris, (2) pengetahuan ibu-ibu meningkat tentang kosakata bahasa inggris, (3) ketrampilan membuat media belajar kreatif meningkat, (4) kemampuan ibu-ibu meningkat dalam menggunakan metode pendampingan belajar inovatif terhadap anak usia dini, (5) motivasi dan kemampuan anak usia dini meningkat dalam menggunakan bahasa inggris di kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Media dapat digunakan untuk mendorong suksesnya proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan wawancara guru IIE di SDI Ma’arif Garum bahwa penggunaan media kurang maksimal saat pembelajaran yang mengakibatkan rendahnya minat dan pemahaman belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media buku saku berbasis mind mapping sebagai peningkatan minat dan pemahaman belajar siswa kelas IIE di SDI Ma’arif Tawangsari Garum. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 tahapan model ADDIE. Hasil dari penelitian ini meliputi validasi ahli media diperoleh persentase 100% kriteria sangat valid, validasi ahli materi diperoleh persentase 97,5% kriteria sangat valid, validasi ahli bahasa diperoleh persentase 96,4% kriteria sangat valid, respon peningkatan minat belajar siswa sebelum menggunakan media dengan persentase 52,5% kategori cukup minat lalu setelah menggunakan media mendapat 91,5% kategori sangat minat, minat belajar meningkat sebesar 39%. Pada peningkatan pemahaman belajar kelas IIE berkategori mengalami peningkatan tinggi dengan skor N-Gain keseluruhan yaitu 0,82. Jadi pengembangan media buku saku berbasis mind mapping sangat valid serta dapat meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman belajar siswa

Abstract

Abstract: In the education, writing become an important skill that must be learnt by students. It is because writing is a part of four basic skills of learning English. Eventhough there was material of descritive text for seventh grade students of MTs Al-Muslihuun, it was monotonous. Actually, students needs the material related to their life and designed in simply and attractive. This research is conducted to develop a set of task-based writing supplementary material of descriptive text accompanied by audio-visual media for grade VII students. The objects of this research were 25 students of class VII-A MTs Al-Muslihuun Tlogo in the academic year 2020/2021. This study is Research and Development model by Borg and Gall (2003) that modify by the researcher based on the need and context of the research. Here are six steps in this development: (1) conducting need analysis, (2) determine the specific material, (3) designing the product, (4) getting expert judgment, (5) revision, and (6) implementation. Questionnaires applied to obtain the data. Results of the material expert judgment shows that the product task-based writing supplementary material gets value 3.25. Results of media expert judgment shows that the video gets value 4.00. It is into the range of 3.25 ≤ x ≤ 4.00 which the product categorized “very good”. Abstrak: Dalam dunia pendidikan, menulis menjadi keterampilan penting yang harus dipelajari oleh siswa. Karena menulis merupakan bagian dari empat keterampilan dasar belajar bahasa Inggris. Meskipun terdapat materi teks deskripsi untuk siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Muslihuun, namun masih monoton. Sebenarnya siswa membutuhkan materi yang berhubungan dengan kehidupannya dan didesain secara sederhana dan menarik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan seperangkat materi pelengkap menulis berbasis tugas teks deskriptif disertai media audio visual untuk siswa kelas VII. Objek penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas VII-A MTs Al-Muslihuun Tlogo tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan model Penelitian dan Pengembangan oleh Borg dan Gall (2003) yang dimodifikasi oleh peneliti berdasarkan kebutuhan dan konteks penelitian. Berikut enam langkah dalam pengembangan ini: (1) melakukan analisis kebutuhan, (2) menentukan materi spesifik, (3) merancang produk, (4) mendapatkan penilaian ahli, (5) revisi, dan (6) implementasi. Kuesioner diterapkan untuk mendapatkan data. Hasil penilaian ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa produk materi pelengkap menulis berbasis tugas mendapat nilai 3,25. Hasil penilaian ahli media menunjukkan bahwa video mendapat nilai 4,00. Berada pada kisaran 3,25 x 4,00 yang dikategorikan produk “sangat baik”.

Abstract

Abstrak : Media komik lipat sangat menarik digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Pengembangan media ini berawal dari adanya penelitian dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan belajar siswa, pengembangan media ini dilakukan dengan observasi langsung terhadap sebuah sekolah dan siswanya yang kemudian dilakukan penerapan penggunaan media komik sebagai media pembelaajaran. Komik Iipat sebagai media pembelajaran melalui serangkain proses yaitu berupa uji kevalidan oleh guru sebagai ahli sehingga akan menentukan valid dan tidaknya untuk media pembelajarn guna meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dan kemampuan analisis siswa. Melalui media komik lipat siswa dapat belajar dengan aktif karena materi yang disajikan menggunakan gambar sehingga siswa akan tertarik untuk menggunakanya disisi lain dengan media komik lipat siswa mampu membedakan,mengorganisasikan serta menghubungkan terkait muatan ipa rantai makanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 tahapan dari model ADDIE yaitu analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan,implementasi, pelaksanaan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angkeet untuk ahli media, ahli materi, respon pengguna (guru), respon siswa. Hasil uji coba kemenarikan siswa mendapatkan penilaian layak. Hasil uji coba pengguna (guru) mendapatkan kriteria layak. Berdasarkan hasil persentase dari ahli media, ahli materi, uji coba pengguna (guru), uji coba siswa maka produk komik lipat valid, layak, menarik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran Abstract : Folding comic media is very interesting to be used as a learning medium. The development of this media began with research with the aim of improving students' learning abilities, the development of this media was carried out by direct observation of a school and its students which was then implemented using comics as a mediium of learning. Folded comics as learning media go through a series of processes, namely in the form of a validity test by the teacher as an expert so that it will determine whether or not it is valid for learning media in order too increase student activity and student analytical skills. Through folding comic media students can learn actively because the material presented uses pictures so that students will be interested in using it. On the other hand, with folding comic media students are able to distinguish, organize and connect related to food chain science content. This study uses 5 stages of the ADDIE model, namely analysis, planning, development, implementation, implementation. Data collection techniques used in the form of questionnaires for media experts, material experts, user responses (teachers), student responses. The results of the student attractiveness test get a decent assessment. The results of user trials (teachers) get the criteria to be eligible. Based on the percentage results from media expeerts, material experts, user trials (teachers), student trials, the folding comic product is valid, feasible, interesting to use in learning

Learning during the pandemic has several obstacles, including 1) only applying learning videos from YouTube and assignments. 2) doing assignments often assisted by parents, 3) LKPD is not yet available but using special teacher books which are less practical. This obstacle is triggered by the lack of teacher readiness in the online learning process. To solve this problem it is necessarythe Development of LKPD Flipbook Based on Character Building Independence in Fractions in Elementary Schools. The purpose of this research is to develop a practical Flipbook-Based LKPD Flipbook. Researchers developed LKPD Flipbook Based on Character Reinforcement of Fractions in Elementary Schools by using researchdevelopment of Research and Development (R&D).The ADDIE model has five stages, namely, 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. The results of this study include material expert validation obtained a percentage of 78% with valid criteria, media expert validation obtained a percentage of 94% with valid criteria, linguistic expert validation obtained a percentage of 98% with valid criteria, Practicality of media by students obtained an overall percentage of 96.8% with criteria very good, independence by students obtained an overall percentage of 97.8% with very good criteria. Abstract

This research was carried out based on the results of observations on mentally retarded students at SLB Jatiwiratama Selopuro in the vocabulary subject. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of pop-up book and find out how the level of feasibility of the media. This research was conducted on mentally retarded children at special school. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D) which adopted from Borg and Gall where researchers take 4 stages of the existing 10 stages. The stages include (1) Need analysis, (2) Product development, (3) Product testing, (4) Product revision. Determination of eligibility is done by validate the learning experts, and media experts. After that, the researcher do product testing. Research and development produces pop-up book media that are suitable for use based on the assessment of (1) Media expert validators get an assessment of 95.5% (2) Learning expert validators received a 9% rating. Assessment of student responses gets an assessment percentage of 91.5% which is means that the media can be accepted by students. The reason for choosing this research is because the development of pop-up book media for mentally retarded children has never been researched before.
