Abstract

Based on the results of the preliminary study, Mathematical habits of mind (MHoM) mathematics students are generally still weak.Therefor, efforts are needed to overcome them. One way is to choose and apply the appropriate learning model. This study aims to determine whether the Bamboo Dance learning model and Early Mathematical Ability of Students can significantly influence the mathematics MHoM of students. This research is using the experimental method. Involving VII grade students of junior high school, with experimental classes and control classes as many as 36 student samples. The experimental class was given learning by applying the Bamboo Dance learning model, while the control class with conventional learning. The results of the study showed that the MHoM mathematics of experimental class students as a whole was better than the control class with a significance level of 0.023. Likewise, for groups of students with high and moderate initial abilities in the experimental class it is better than the group of students with high and moderate initial abilities in the control class, with a significance level of 0.011 and 0.025 respectively. Whereas for the group of students with low initial abilities there was no significant effect of the Bamboo Dance learning model on the ability of the MHoM students with a significance level of 0.775.

Abstract

Employees at The National Resillience Council General Secretariat experienced problems related to work discipline. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational culture and work discipline on work motivation employees. This study used 115 employees in secretariat general of the national defence council. The results show that organizational culture has a significant and positive effect on work motivation. Work discipline also has a significant and positive effect on work motivation. The implications of this study indicate that to be able to improve work motivation, high work discipline and high organizational culture are needed. Employees need the encouragement of superiors to have the desire to be present at work.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a model and analyze the direct influence of Transformational Leadership, Organizational Commitment and Organizational Culture on Governance and Lecturer Performance in Private Universities in Banten. This study uses an associative quantitative approach, or research aimed at knowing the effect of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. Data collection using survey methods, and analysis techniques using SEM with Lisrel 8.80 software. The population in this study were lecturers at Bina Bangsa University, Banten Jaya University and Serang Raya University, as many as 211 lecturers participated as respondents in this study. The results showed that (1) Transformational Leadership Has No Significant and Positive Effect on Governance, (2) Transformational Leadership Has No Significant and Negative Effect on Lecturer Performance, (3) Organizational Commitment Has Significant and Negative Effect on Governance, (4) Organizational Commitment Significant and Positive Influence on Lecturer Performance, (5) Organizational Culture Has No Significant and Negative Effect on Governance, (6) Organizational Culture Has No Significant and Negative Effect on Lecturer Performance, (7) Governance Has Positive and Influence on Lecturer Performance. There is empirical evidence and novelty or new findings that the existence of good governance can improve Lecturer Performance, with a positive correlation direction coefficient.
