Katakunci: metode estimasi parameter, metode equating, ukuran sampel kecil, RMSE

This study aims to analyze the development of web-based mathematics teaching materials using Moodle from the Learning Management System (LMS) with a Contextual Approach to Geometry in the eighth grade of junior high school. This research is development research by adapting the Borg and Gall development model, consisting of expert validation, small group trials, and large group trials. It uses the t-test to measure product effectiveness. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and written tests. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively using descriptive and inferential statistics. The effectiveness test results show that the t-table value is 2,988, with a significant level of 0.012 smaller than 0.025 (0.012 <0.025). Based on these results, Ho is rejected, so there is an average difference between the experimental class and the control class. Based on these results, it can be stated that the product developed in the form of an E-mathematical module with a contextual approach effectively improves student learning outcomes in geometry material.

This research aims to analyze the validity of Calculus II teaching materials based on virtual classes; the effectiveness of teaching materials that have been designed towards improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The method used in this research is ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The research subjects were students of Informatics Engineering UNINDRA 4th semester who took Calculus II courses consisting 2 (two) classes, namely the experimental class consisting of 14 students and 15 students of the control class. Instruments and data collection techniques used in the form of observation, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis used independent sample test and normalized gain score. The result showed that Calculus II teaching materials were based on virtual class was valid and effective to improve students’ understanding of concepts so it can be concluded that the teaching materials for Calculus II based on virtual classes are valid and suitable for use in learning and are effective and practical to improve student’s conceptual understanding.

Based on the results of the preliminary study, Mathematical habits of mind (MHoM) mathematics students are generally still weak.Therefor, efforts are needed to overcome them. One way is to choose and apply the appropriate learning model. This study aims to determine whether the Bamboo Dance learning model and Early Mathematical Ability of Students can significantly influence the mathematics MHoM of students. This research is using the experimental method. Involving VII grade students of junior high school, with experimental classes and control classes as many as 36 student samples. The experimental class was given learning by applying the Bamboo Dance learning model, while the control class with conventional learning. The results of the study showed that the MHoM mathematics of experimental class students as a whole was better than the control class with a significance level of 0.023. Likewise, for groups of students with high and moderate initial abilities in the experimental class it is better than the group of students with high and moderate initial abilities in the control class, with a significance level of 0.011 and 0.025 respectively. Whereas for the group of students with low initial abilities there was no significant effect of the Bamboo Dance learning model on the ability of the MHoM students with a significance level of 0.775.

This study aims to compare five question packages used in the 2011 National Examination, specifically for Maths for Social Studies subject between public senior high school (SMA) and Islamic senior high school (MA) in Jakarta. It employed simple random sampling as its data collection technique. The independent variables used were the category of high schools and the Five Question Packages used in the National Examination. The schools were divided into two: regular senior high school (SMA) and Islamic senior high school or Madrasah Aliyah (MA). The packages chosen to be analyzed were package number: 12, 25, 39, 46 and 54. The data was analyzed by two-factor ANOVA for its 11 Differential Item Function (DIF) and 29 non Differential Item Function (non-DIF) items. The items used for this study are the items that fit the three-parameter logistic model. This study found that no difference between the scores on both the DIF and non-DIF items in either for SMA or Ma is found. Keywords: national examination in math, five packages, DIF, SMA, MA.

The objective of this study is to determine the Donlon Fischer aacuracy method, Jacob and SHL inappropriate score using confusion matrix accuracy proportion. This research was conducted by analyzing secondary data in response to the physics national examination results throughout the West Kalimantan Province in 2012 using 1545 research samples. The sampling of the research is done by using the random sampling technique of 1545 population. The research method is experimental method which is done by comparing the proportion of accuracy obtained from confusion matrix. The hypothesis was tested by using a differences in proportions Z test. Test results showed that the SHL inappropriate index score is more accurate than Donlon Fischer and Jacob innapropriate index score. This research is expected to find an accurate method in detecting the inappropriate score used as an evaluation parameter for educational measurement.

Report of a test assessment is usually carried out separately between the level of difficulty of the test items and the student’s ability. In addition, the analysis of test results is sometimes not clearly presented in a complete and in-depth explanation. This study aimed to explain the assessment process on the instrument of Science Literacy Test for Indonesian Students (SLTIS) conducted by 94 students from the 9th grade of junior high school. Those were 41 students from private schools and 53 from public schools. There were 36 test items with four possible answers for each item. In details, the findings were reported as follows: the item reliability was very good; two items were indicated to have different item functioning (DIF), and the data were fit to the model; public school students were slightly better than private school students, and there was no difference in achievement between male and female students. SLTIS instrument was suitable for diagnostic test and had a high information value on the students with moderate ability. The current study presented a smart way on how to apply the objective measurement to improve the education assessment. Keywords: science literacy, indonesian schools, Science Literacy Test for Indonesian Students (SLTIS), Rasch Measurement Model (RMM)

The use of an approach in learning can provide a change in pre-service teachers mathematical logical thinking abilities, this study aims to look at the trends of mathematical logical thinking ability with treatments using Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) approach with portfolio assessment. This research is a quasi-experimental with time series design. That has been acquired by new pre-service teachers. The subject of this study consists of 37 first year undergraduate students in one of the universities in Banten province, Indonesia. Pretest and posttest data were analyzed using paired sample t-test. The instruments consisted of 4 packages of mathematical logical thinking ability for pretest and posttest with each instrument consists of 8 questions on 4 indicators. The conclusion shows that there are significant differences and improvements in mathematical logical thinking ability from time to time after treatments in learning with CRA. The development of pre-service teachers mathematical logical thinking ability after CRA has trends to increase above the trendline with the equation y = 0.5085x - 1.4316. Keyword: Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA), logical thinking, portfolio.
