Abstract

Writing poetry learning is a productive learning activity. Based on the results of interviewing teachers, there are problems in writing poetry learning at Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo, which is difficult for the students to determine the themes, the use of diction and the less different metaphors, and the mismatch of the message with the contents of the poem. Besides, the students' motivation in following the lesson is still low. This study aims to improve learning motivation and writing skills with audiovisual media. This research is class action research that is held two-cycle. Each cycle consists of action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data research sources are through learning activity, informan, and documents. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and test. The validity of data was investigated through triangulation techniques of data sources and methods. The data analysis technique used in this research are comparative descriptive techniques and critical analysis technique. The results showed that the use of audiovisual media could increase learning motivation by 5.71% in pre-action, 61,76% in the first cycle, and 97,14% in the second cycle. The use of audiovisual media can also improve students' poetry writing skills by 17% in pre-action, 66% in the first cycle, and 91% in the second cycle.

Abstract

This research has purpose to  describe and explain; (1) The position of woman figure in collection of poetry Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari by Cyntha Hariadi. (2) The language style of Poetry in Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari. (3) The collection of poetry Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari that can be used in a poetry learning material in senior high school. This research used the method of qualitative. Data analysis of this research used interaktif analysis within 3 components: data reducing,  Data validity test is done by triangulating theory and triangulation of the data source. Based on the results of the study can be concluded: (1) on the poetry collection of ibu mendulang anak berlari has (a) Physical figure, (b) Physcological Figure, and (c) Social Figure; (2) Repetition is the most dominant  style that used in the Ibu Mendulang Anak berlari poetry collection; (3) Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari poetry collection can be used as a poetry learning material in senior high school, especially on KD 3.16 (Identifying the atmosphere, theme, and the meaning of poetry that has been read) and KD 3.17 (Analyze the elements of poetry).

Abstract

This research is a case study using descriptive qualitative methods with 21 research subjects explanatory essays written by class VIII students. The results showed that (1) there were 447 findings of spelling errors, including the writing of absorption elements (0.06%), word writing (8.27%), use of punctuation marks (18.34%), and use of letters (72, 70%) dominated by capital letters errors (70.69%) in the form of findings of patterns of capital letters errors; (2) there are seven articles that have structural errors, including the structure of the composition which is not coherent, the ambiguous type of the article, and the fact that incomplete of the structure dominates the findings of structural errors and becomes one of the triggers for other errors; (3) the factors causing the error are lack of writing practice, less thoroughness, lack of understanding of students, students' language habits, and lack of student interest in following lessons which are the dominant factors because it exacerbates other factors; (4) preventive action, students choose to learn to use spelling correctly and write explanatory text; the teacher makes direct corrections, emphasizes punishment, the use of spelling guidelines and text characteristics to students; the school, especially the principal, supervises and activates school literacy, and (5) both students, teachers and school principals provide advice to deal with these mistakes, namely the use of fun learning media and creating a comfortable learning atmosphere, habituation to using PUEBI, as well as synergy from related parties.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan: (1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan novel Lipstick karya Achmad Munif dan (2) Relevansi novel Lipstick karya Achmad Munif sebagai materi ajar apresiasi sastra di SMA. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan feminisme sastra. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Validasi  data menggunakan triangulasi metode. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian: (1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan novel Lipstick karya Achmad  Munif  meliputi nilai pendidikan agama, moral, sosial dan budi pekerti, dan (2)   Novel Lipstick karya Achmad Munif dapat dijadikan sebagai materi ajar apresiasi sastra di SMA, khususnya di kelas XII pada semester 2. Hal ini selaras dengan kompetensi dasar yang ditawarkan dalam Kurikulum2013, yaitu memahami struktur dan kaidah teks cerita fiksi dalam novel baik melalui lisan maupun tulisan, utamanya terkait dengan materi analisis ciri kebahasaan, memahami isi dan makna teks cerita novel. Kata kunci: novel, nilai pendidikan, pembelajaran sastra, materi ajar

Abstract

Learning materials should optimally accommodate higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) to train students to think critically. The research aimed to describe the content of HOTS in Indonesian language textbooks for eighth grade found in the materials, examples, and exercises. Bloom's taxonomic cognitive theory by Anderson and Krathwohl was used in this study. This type of research was qualitative research with a content analysis approach. The data collection techniques were document analysis and interviews. Data analysis techniques employed model intertwined with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, withdrawal of conclusions, and return to data collection—techniques of presenting the results of data analysis using informal methods. Data sources were documents that include an Indonesian language textbook for eighth grade published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Mahir Berbahasa Indonesia textbook published by Erlangga, and informants were Indonesian language teachers. Data validity test techniques used triangulation methods and data sources. The results showed HOTS provided in the textbook published by Kemendikbud, which was 3.8% of the material, 53% of example, and 38.9% of exercise. From the textbook published by Erlangga, HOTS provided 12.6% of the material, 44% of the example, and 33.2% of the exercise. The results reveal that the textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture provides more high-level thinking skills content, and Erlangga's book provides more detailed information about students' ability to think at high levels.

Abstract

Youtube merupakan salah satu bentuk media komunikasi pada masa kini. Youtube sebagai media sosial masa kini memuat keberagaman penggunaan bahasa menjadi penting untuk diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan bentuk dan fungsi deiksis sosial dalam vlog Upacara Bakar Jenazah Ngaben, Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis konten. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif berbentuk kata yang diperoleh dari analisis dokumen berupa vlog Upacara Bakar Jenazah Ngaben, Bali channel Youtube Dzawin Nur tayangan 19 Maret 2020. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah channel Youtube Dzawin Nur. Simpulan penelitian: (1) Dalam vlog Upacara Bakar Jenazah Ngaben, Bali ditemukan 19 bentuk deiksis sosial, antara lain: Coy, Gua, Aku, Saya, Ida Bagus, Dia, Gungde, Bli, Anda, Gus, Lu, Bro, Pak, Almarhum, Paman, Kamu, Jenazah, Teman-teman, dan Nyerot; (2) Fungsi deiksis sosial dalam vlog Upacara Bakar Jenazah Ngaben, Bali antara lain sebagai (a) pembeda status sosial dan konteks, (b) menunjukkan keakraban atau kekerabatan, (c) bentuk penghormatan, dan (d) bentuk penyelarasan aspek-aspek sosial budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the creative process of authors and social criticism found in Babad Ngalor-Ngidul novel. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data sources in the form of Babad Ngalor-Ngidul novels by Elizabeth D. Inandiak and author interviews and data collection were carried out by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed based on the author's creative process theory and literary sociology in the form of speech, sentence, or discourse contained in the data source. Data is filtered and classified according to research objectives, which are related to the creative process of authors and social criticism. The results of the study stated that there is a connection between the creative process of the author and social criticism in the Babad Ngalor-Ngidul novel. The author's creative process is based on the eruption and earthquake events in Yogyakarta, and is influenced by the interaction of the author with the community of Kinahrejo and Bebekan. The criticisms contained in the Babad Ngalor-Ngidul novel are social, cultural and political criticisms of the dynamics of post-disaster community change. The creative process of the author and the delivery of the message of criticism are intertwined in the moderate position of literature as a form of sanctification (catharsis), and healing.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan proses kreatif pengarang dan kritik sosial yang terdapat pada novel Babad Ngalor-Ngidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data berasal dari novel Babad Ngalor-Ngidul karya Elizabeth D. Inandiak dan hasil wawancara pengarang serta pengambilan data dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis berdasarkan teori proses kreatif pengarang dan sosiologi sastra yang berupa tuturan, kalimat, atau wacana yang terdapat dalam sumber data. Data disaring dan diklasifikasikan sesuai tujuan penelitian, yakni terkait dengan proses kreatif pengarang dan kritik sosial. Hasil penelitian mengemukakan bahwa terdapat kaitan antara proses kreatif pengarang dan kritik sosial yang ada dalam novel Babad Ngalor-Ngidul. Proses kreatif pengarang dilandasi atas peristiwa erupsi dan gempa di Yogyakarta serta dipengaruhi interaksi pengarang dengan masyarakat Kinahrejo dan Bebekan. Adapun kritik yang terdapat dalam novel Babad Ngalor-Ngidul adalah kritik sosial, budaya, dan politik atas dinamika perubahan masyarakat pascabencana. Proses kreatif pengarang dan penyampaian pesan kritik berkelindan dalam posisi moderat karya sastra sebagai bentuk penyucian (katarsis) serta penyembuhan.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning is a national language learning that is closely related to national values. Until now, learning Indonesian is used as a main subject in an educational institution. The role of Indonesian in learning at the junior high school level is expected to be able to realize the profile of Pancasila students who are instilled through national values in learning Indonesian. Therefore, the research conducted included an educational institution, namely a junior high school with an area coverage in Surakarta. This article aims to focus on the integration of national values in Indonesian language learning to realize the Pancasila Student Profile at the junior high school level in the Surakarta region. This article uses a qualitative method using field note data that has been made. The data source for this article is field note data from the results of the implementation of junior high school students in the city of Surakarta.

Abstract

Sastra sebagai bentuk seni memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan budaya manusia. Puisi, sebagai salah satu bentuk sastra yang paling dihargai merupakan sarana ekspresi emosi, pemikiran, dan pengalaman manusia dengan bahasa yang indah dan kreatif. Puisi "Gugur Bunga" karya Pratiwi Yulia Saputri menjadi objek penelitian dalam kajian struktural. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur fisik dan struktur batin yang ada di dalam puisi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural, yang menganalisis elemen-elemen struktural dalam puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca dan catat dan memuat hasil analisis secara deskiptif kualitatif. Penyajian data dilakukan secara objektif sesuai kenyataan dari hasil telaah dari objek yang diteliti. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat struktur fisik dan batin dalam puisi "Gugur Bunga". Struktur fisik puisi ini melibatkan unsur-unsur yakni: diksi, gaya bahasa, kata konkret, rima, dan tipografi. Struktur batin melibatkan tema, rasa, nada, dan amanat dalam puisi.

Abstract

Every literary work has a message and meaning contained so that every reader can take lessons from the work, one of which is poetry. The purpose of this research is to analyze the elements or symbols of romance found in the Four Collections of Poetry by WS Rendra. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data sources used came from a book entitled Four Collections of Poetry in the Romance section of the Kakawin Kawin chapter by WS Rendra, namely (1) Love Letters; (2) Green Serenada; (3) Blue Serenada; (4) Episodes; (5) Serenade Violet; (6) Under the Moon; (7) White Serenade; (8) Black Serenade; (9) Gray Serenada, (10) Red Serenada; and (11) Letter to Mother: About Her Prospective Son-in-law. While the data sought is a symbol of romance. Data collection was carried out by document analysis using the method of taking notes and literary analysis, while to test the validity of the data using theoretical triangulation techniques. The results of this study found that there are various romantic symbols in the book entitled Four Collections of Poetry in the Kakawin Kawin chapter Romance section by WS Rendra.
