Abstract

This study aimed to produce a guideline for the social care educational game for the elementary school students which meet the criteria of accuracy, usefulness, simplicity and attractiveness. This was a research and development study adapted from Borg & Gall model by the data analysis technique using Wilcoxon. This study employed purposive sampling technique. The result of this study found that the guideline of social care educational game met the criteria of accuracy, usefulness, simplicity, and attractiveness for Elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to see a picture of empathy by integrating biological, sociological and psychological by using a delayed broadcast application which is intended to help Guidance and Counseling students to increase empathy and communication skills through a biopsychosocial approach to identify counselee problems. The implementation study uses a formative evaluation framework to see the counselor's communication with the counselee through three stages; 1) evaluation, consisting of a conceptual review; 2) technical, both formal and informal by the lecturer; 3) evaluation of Guidance and Counseling students who are involved in surveys and observations. The findings of this study indicate that bio-psycho-social video delays can improve counseling communication techniques (empathy) for prospective counselors. The results of this study can be used as a reference for lecturers and prospective counselors in providing learning about the counseling process so as to improve the quality of prospective counselors, especially in increasing empathy which is one of the counselor's character competencies.

Abstract

Pemberian reinforcement dan punishment dalam bidang pendidikan sudah menjadi hal yang lazim dilakukan oleh guru maupun konselor sekolah. Kedua hal tersebut berguna untuk pembentukan perilaku siswa atau untuk mengatasi perilaku malasuai yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini untuk mengetahui bentuk reinforcement dan punishment yang diberikan oleh guru BK di Kabupatern Malang. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan pada guru-guru SMP yang tergabung dalam MGBK Kabupaten Malang. Keberhasilan pelatihan ini ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan guru dalam menjelaskan bentuk reinforcement dan punishment yang diberikan pada siswa. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru atau konselor sekolah menggunakan bentuk reinforcer yaitu sosial, aktivitas, dan token, sedangkan punishment yang diberikan masih berkaitan dengan kegiatan akademik siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a training package of coping self-talk for pre-service counselors that has high acceptability, i.e. meeting the criteria of appropriateness, usefulness, easiness, attractiveness and clarity. The study applied a research and development design and procedure adapted from Borg & Gall. The evaluation of the training package was carried out through expert judgement and field testing. Two experts in guidance and counseling and one expert in instructional media were asked to validate the training package. Next, a lecturer and ten undergraduate students majoring in guidance and counseling were involved in small group testing. After making the necessary revisions, a lecturer and 39 other students were involved in operational field testing. The series of examinations produced a training package of coping self-talk that meets the criteria of appropriateness, usefulness, easiness, attractiveness and clarity.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan paket pelatihan coping self-talk bagi calon konselor yang mempunyai akseptabilitas tinggi, yaitu memenuhi kriteria ketepatan, kegunaan, kemudahan, kemenarikan, dan kejelasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain dan prosedur penelitian pengembangan yang diadaptasi dari Borg & Gall. Pengujian bahan pelatihan dilakukan dengan uji ahli dan uji lapangan. Dua ahli bimbingan dan konseling dan seorang ahli media pembelajaran diminta untuk memvalidasi paket pelatihan. Berikutnya, seorang dosen dan sepuluh mahasiswa BK terlibat dalam pengujian kelompok kecil. Setelah dilakukan revisi produk yang diperlukan, pengujian lapangan operasional dilakukan oleh seorang dosen dan 39 mahasiswa BK lainnya. Serangkaian uji coba tersebut menghasilkan produk paket pelatihan coping self-talk yang memiliki kriteria sangat tepat, sangat berguna, sangat mudah, sangat menarik, dan sangat jelas.

Abstract

Abstract: The symptoms of smartphone addiction have been extensively observed in adolescent students. This study aims to investigate the effects of smartphone addiction on students’ communication with their families, their learning, as well as guidance and counseling processes. The causal correlational design was applied, involving 103 participants selected total samplings of eighth-graders junior high school students. The data was garnered through the smartphone addiction scale and family communication scale. Both of those scales had item validity of 0.3, with Alpha Cronbach reliability of 0.937 and 0.850, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed using regression. The analysis results suggest that smartphone addiction significantly decreased the quality of students’ communication with their families, by -0,416. This result can be fundamental for school counselors and the subject teachers in formulating and implementing the learning process, to reduce the effects of smartphone addiction, enhance their communication skills, and improve the learning efficiency through the use of the smartphone as learning media, instead of restraining the smartphone use. Abstrak: Dewasa ini, gejala kecanduan smartphone semakin meluas pada siswa remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi kecanduan smartphone terhadap kualitas komunikasi siswa dalam keluarga, dan membahas implikasinya bagi pembelajaran, serta bimbingan dan konseling. Rancangan kausal korelasional digunakan pada 103 responden siswa kelas delapan yang menggunakan smartphone lebih dari 5 jam sehari, yang dipilih secara total sampling di sekolah menengah pertama. Data dikumpulkan dengan skala kecanduan smartphone dan skala komunikasi dalam keluarga yang telah diuji, keduanya memiliki validitas butir lebih dari sama dengan 0,3, reliabilitas Alpha Cronbach 0,937 dan 0,850. Data dianalisis regresi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan smartphone berkontribusi signifikan menurunkan kualitas komunikasi siswa dalam keluarga sebesar -0,416. Implikasinya adalah konselor sekolah perlu berkolaborasi dengan guru bidang studi dalam menyusun dan melaksanakan program untuk mengurangi dampak negatif, meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi, dan meningkatkan keefektifan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan smartphone sebagai media belajar, alih-alih membatasi penggunaannya baik di rumah maupun di kelas.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of the preliminary study show that the percentage of cheating behavior that occurs in SMPN 1 Poncokusumo is 70.3 percent and the school does not yet have a guide for intervening in students' cheating behavior. Based on this background, this study aims to produce a product in the form of a reality counseling guide with a metaphorical technique to reduce cheating behavior for junior high school students, which is analyzed to determine the guidelines' acceptance criteria which include aspects of accuracy, usefulness, attractiveness, and convenience. This guide consists of theoretical studies, implementation instructions, counseling procedures, RPL and Counseling Verbalization. This research and development was adapted using the Research and Development research design of Borg and Gall (1983). The guide test was tested by two materials experts, two media experts, and two potential users. The assessment instruments used to assess this guide are material validity test instruments, media validity tests and prospective users' validity tests. The data obtained from the expert test and the prospective user test are in the form of numerical data in the form of scales and numbers which are analyzed using inter-rater agreement (Gregory, 2011) and verbal data in the form of criticism and suggestions that are used as input to improve the product. The results of the analysis of the media expert test, material expert test and prospective user test showed the same results, namely 1.00. This value has a very high validity index, based on the validation index category the acquisition value of 0.76-1.00 falls into the very high validity category. According to the score, this product is very precise, very useful, very easy and very attractive so that this product is worth using. Based on these tests, it can be concluded that this development product has met the acceptance requirements. Abstrak: Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa persentase perilaku menyontek yang terjadi di sekolah SMPN 1 Poncokusumo sebesar 70,3 persen dan sekolah belum memiliki panduan untuk mengintervensi perilaku menyontek siswa. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa panduan konseling realitas dengan teknik metafora untuk menurunkan perilaku menyontek bagi siswa SMP, yang dianalisis untuk mengetahui kriteria keberterimaan panduan yang mencakup aspek ketepatan, kegunaan, kemenarikan, dan kemudahan. Panduan ini terdiri dari kajian teori, petunjuk pelaksanaan, prosedur konseling, RPL dan Verbalisasi Konesling. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini diataptasi menggunakan desain penelitian Research and Development Borg dan Gall (1983). Pengujian panduan diuji oleh dua ahli materi, dua ahli media, dan dua calon pengguna. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan untuk menilai panduan ini adalah instrumen uji validitas materi, uji validitas media dan uji validitas calon pengguna. Data yang diperoleh dari uji ahli dan uji calon pengguna berupa data numerik berbentuk skala dan angka yang dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan inter-rater agreement (Gregory, 2011) dan data verbal berupa kritik dan saran yang digunakan sebagai masukan untuk menyempurnakan produk. Hasil analisis dari uji ahli media, uji ahli materi serta uji calon pengguna menunjukan hasil yang sama yaitu 1,00. Nilai tersebut memiliki indeks validitas sangat tinggi, berdasarkan kategori indeks validasi perolehan nilai 0,76-1,00 masuk kedalam kategori validitas sangat tinggi. Menurut perolehan nilai tersebut, produk ini sangat tepat, sangat berguna, sangat mudah dan sangat menarik sehingga produk ini layak untuk digunakan. Berdasarkan uji tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk pengembangan ini telah memenuhi syarat keberterimaan.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the characteristics of self-injury actors, the form of behavior carried out by self-injury actors, the causes of self-injury behavior, and the handling efforts of Guidance and Counseling services for students who behave in self-injury. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with research subjects as many as 2 junior high school students and counselors, and 4 informants selected by purposive sampling method based on certain criteria. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The results of this study indicate that the subject performs self-injury to divert the emotions they feel. The characteristics of self-injured subjects are sensitive to rejection, constantly angry with themselves, tend to suppress anger, continue to suffer from anxiety, and do not feel themselves capable of dealing with problems. The forms of self-injury carried out are slashing body parts, scratching, bruising body parts, pulling hair, and banging their heads against walls. The factors that cause the subject to self-injury are the lack of attention from parents, feeling that they have no other solution, and the loss of control in overcoming academic problems. Handling efforts in guidance and counseling services are providing individual counseling services, regular monitoring and referral actions. The counseling provided uses a psychoanalytic approach by applying techniques according to the needs and problems of students. The results of the treatment have not completely overcome the cell-injury, there is still a need for continuous strengthening and monitoring. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pelaku self-injury, bentuk perilaku yang dilakukan oleh pelaku self-injury, penyebab dari perilaku self-injury, dan upaya penanganan dari layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling bagi siswa yang berperilaku self-injury. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 2 siswa SMP beserta konselor, dan 4 informan yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dengan berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subjek melakukan self-injury untuk mengalihkan emosi yang dirasakan. Karakteristik subjek pelaku self-injury adalah peka terhadap penolakan, selalu marah pada diri sendiri, menahan amarah, terus menderita kecemasan, dan cenderung merasa tidak mampu menghadapi masalah. Bentuk self-injury yang dilakukan adalah menyayat bagian tubuh, mencakar, melebamkan bagian tubuh, menjambak rambut, dan membenturkan kepala ke tembok. Faktor yang menyebabkan subjek melakukan self-injury adalah kurangnya perhatian dari orang tua, merasa tidak memiliki solusi lain, dan hilangnya kontrol dalam mengatasi permasalahan akademik. Upaya penanganan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling adalah memberikan layanan konseling individu, pemantauan secara berkala dan tindakan referal. Konseling yang diberikan menggunakan pendekatan psikoanalisis dengan mengaplikasikan teknik sesuai kebutuhan dan permasalahan siswa. Hasil penanganan belum sepenuhnya mengatasi sel-injury, masih perlu adanya penguatan dan pemantauan secara terus menerus.
