Abstract

Abstract: This article is organized in connection with the increasingly widespread attitude of intolerance in society. Especially intolerance in the name of religion. In this case the writer will reveal earlier about inclusive attitudes that is placing the perspective of other people/ other groups in seeing the world, in other words trying to use the perspective of others or other groups in understanding the problem. Contrary to that, an exclusive attitude. Some things that lay behind the exclusive nature, including the lack of meaning of religious values and excessive fanaticism. Multicultural education is an alternative solution to the inclusive attitude. Multicultural education is an effort and process of empowering diverse and heterogeneous societies to understand and respect one another and form characters that are open to differences. Abstract

After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, the burden of history was borne by Muslims for disputes that started from political issues. The successor to the leadership of the Prophet became the first problem and even became a prolonged problem. Starting from this political dispute, later it will spread to other issues, such as issues of theology and ideology, including the Shia-Sunni intersection which is also a continuation of political problems in the early phase of Islam. Meanwhile, multicultural Islamic education initiated by several Muslim scientists often only discusses the relationship between Islam and other religions. In fact, the problem of internal disputes among Muslims is equally important to be resolved. This study uses qualitative research methods with the type of case study research. The results of the study show the urgency of multicultural education in an effort to re-tighten (taqri@b) Muslims by adhering to the values of multicultural Islamic education. The values of Islamic education include ta'aruf (knowing each other), ta'awun (helping each other), tasamuh (tolerant), tawasuth (moderate), tawazun (harmony), al-'adl (justice) and zuhud.Keywords:  Multicultural Islamic Education, ukhuwah Islamiyah, Shia, Sunni.

Abstract

Islam Nusantara (Islam of the archipelago) is a new term having recently captivated especially Muslim scholars. Islam Nusantara is the discourse about Islam as a religion having an encounter with tradition in the archipelago. Such encounter has resulted in a distinctive religious tradition which is considerably different from that of other regions. While radicalism in Islam is a form of in-depth (radic) understanding in Islam. Instead of having the in-depth understanding of Islam, radical Islam is a form of Islamic understanding that tends to be "hard", scripturalistic, anti tradition and easily blame the interpretation of others. This has led to a movement that justifies any means to impose their views on others. They have even used violent acts, suicide bombings and other forms of violence. The rigid and scripturalistic understanding of Islam is such an antithesis of peaceful Islam Nusantara. The urgency of teaching Islam Nusantara in universities is such a must following the fact that some of the perpetrators of violence in the name of religion are educated groups from several leading universities. This indicates that the radical Islamic movement has begun to spread to higher education. Radicalism has widely been propagated especially to the students studying in non-Islamic studies vocational programs.Keywords: Islam Nusantara, radicalism, universities

Abstract

Islam as a religion that the plenary should be shalih li kulli zamân wamakân. It means that Islam can be Adaptive and developing appropriate structure of era and place. However, as a religion, Islam is not a mere set of values, but also hassome clear legal rules for the believer. And that in accordance with the rules of guidance locus and tempus, Islamic law need to evolve. So intellectuals, Muslim scholars also make the methodology of Islamic law jurisprudence, so that Islamic law is not stagnant, old-fashioned and stiff. So, Islam appeared several genre of law in Islam called Madhhab. Madhhab or madzhab is a codification of Islamic law which is generated by the priest mujtahid. However this is not necessarily approved by the Muslims entirely. Some of the Muslim, reject the madzhab because they think it is just bid'ah, and the efforts "rival" madzhab of islam actually, Rasulullah's madzhab. An invitation to return to the Al-Qur'an and Al-Hadith finnally called. This day the development is also massive through social media. Call to purify the religion of Islam, with direct reference to the Quran and Al Hadith. Unfortunately that development is not supported by conceptual development. Actually, solicitation and this genre is weak ontological, epistemological even in the realm of Axiological. Since seeing the spread of Islam and the condition of Muslims today, so is not possible to produce the law of the Quran and Al Hadith directly.Keywords: Madzhab, epistemological, Quran, Al Hadith

Abstract

Moderate is the original character of Islam, including Islam of Indonesia. Islam of Indonesia has been living harmony in the life of a nation, religious, although in a different perspective, interpretation and point of view. But everything is still reasonable limits and dynamic. Moderate Islam is suddenly threatened after the development of social media and online media that can be accessed easily and cheaply. Especially after the emergence of groups that spread the hoax, hate speech and SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group relations) sentiment. The group is developed a new perspective that tends to be radical, scripturalist and rigid. Worse, they use religion as a weapon just for his political interests in the name of da’wâh and jihâd. Here is a big challenge for the existence of moderate Islam in Indonesia

Abstract

Pemahaman bid’ah menjadi sebuah perbedaan yang harus diluruskan. Perbedaan itu terkungkung pada kata-kata sesat dan tidak sejalan dengan Nabi SAW. Padahal pemahaman yang dangkal tersebut bisa diatasi dengan cara membaca secara mendalam konsep bid’ah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman mahasiswa tentang bid’ah dan mengeksplorasi makna bid’ah yang sesuai dengan ahlussunnah wal jamaah an nahdliyah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan Observasi, dan Wawancara. Analisis penelitiannya menggunakan lima-tahap siklus analisis data kualitatif yaitu: (1) Compiling (2) Disassembling, (3) Reassembling (and Arraying), (4) Interpreting and (5) Concluding. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Pemahaman konsep bid’ah mahasiswa secara umum telah sampai pada istilah sesuatu yang baru yang tidak ada di zaman Rasulullah SAW. Istilah tersebut tentunya ditambahkan dengan pemahaman lain tentang bid’ah hasanah dan bidah dholalah. Kedua macam bid’ah telah dipahami mahasiswa sebagai sesuatu yang baru dan tidak menyalahi syariat Islam masuk pada bid’ah hasanah, sementara itu bid’ah dholalah diartikan mereka sebagai sesuatu yang baru yang menyalahi atau bertentangan dengan syariat Islam.
