Abstract

This research is a descriptive study, which aims to investigate the entrepreneurial character of early-level students at the Private Polytechnic in Palembang. The method used to collect data was a sample aiming with the snowball technique. Respondents involved in this study were 203 respondents to fill in 18 questions in the questionnaire. Data analysis using descriptive statistical methods, determined the rank in each character with a comparison between the actual score and the ideal score. The results of this study indicate that of the 6 (six) entrepreneurial characters the calculation of the ideal ideal score is 50.65 (high). Where 4 (four) dominant characters, namely self-confidence, task and result-oriented, originality and future-oriented, while the other 2 (two) entrepreneurs, namely leadership and risk-taking, get a score criterion of 44.1% (moderate). The implication of this research is to provide information for the mapping of the entrepreneurship course curriculum providing information for practical and theoretical material that is in the semester learning plan. Keywords: Character, entrepreneurship, students

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training and development strategies on organizational performance through mediating employee performance. This study involved 70 respondents from PT INKA Multi Solutions (IMS) level manager employees. The SPSS software is used to test the influence between variables. This study finds that training and development strategies have significant effect on organizational and employee performance. Moreover, this study also finds that employee performance mediates the influence of training and development strategies on organizational performance.

Abstract

In writing this article aims to explain the related conceptual framework that describes the relationship of job satisfaction variables with performance. Several theoretical concepts from the factors that form job satisfaction, performance to the conceptual framework are discussed in this article. The final goal of this study is to observe the relationship between job satisfaction and performance variables, which is very important in the development of further research related to the relationship between job satisfaction and performance.

Abstract

Supply chain ontology as an important medium for solving information system interoperability problems. To inform future supply chain ontology research, this paper sets out to review and analyze existing supply chain ontology models. An extensive literature review was conducted which identified six supply chain ontology models together with the three criteria that form the framework for comparison. After applying a framework has been identified which should provide insight into potential future research. The general conclusion is that we are far from using ontologies to solve information system interoperability problems. Our analysis has shown that too much emphasis is placed on the organization and structure of human knowledge of supply chains than on understanding supply chain realities. Seen from a 'philosophy of science' perspective, all the models reviewed have ontological flaws. More rigorous and theoretical analysis is needed if a more realistic and robust supply chain system is to be developed.

Abstract

Today's organizations face changes in the business environment not only from the local environment but also from the international (global) environment. The ability to manage change is one of the key success factors for every company in order to survive and develop. Managing change is a process from identifying the power to change, the power to vote against change to the people responsible for implementing the change. A diagnostic approach will help ensure the competitiveness and performance of the company. These changes require managing the organization in new ways, so that organizational goals can be achieved more effectively in an ever-changing environment. The challenge faced by organizations is the labor market which tends to demand that work be done using human capital. This of course requires the organization to be managed by applying knowledge and improving the capabilities of its human resources. Facing these continuous changes, organizations must be transparent and able to adapt to environmental changes by making the organization a Learning Organization.

Abstract

Artikel ini menelaah green marketing dari aspek ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi dari green marketing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review, dengan menjelaskan sejarah dan teori tentang green marketing penulis mengharapkan mendapat gambaran yang lebih detil tentang green marketing dari para peneliti terdahulu dan membuat sebuah kesimpulan mengenai apa yang seharusnya dilakukan dimasa sekarang dan masa yang akan datang agar dalam proses memasarkan produk juga melibatkan aspek lingkungan agar tercapai keseimbangan dan kesinambungan antara industri, proses produksi pemasaran dan linkungan. Tulisan ini juga mengidentifikasi antaseden dan konsekuensi dari green marketing. Anteseden dari green marketing dapat bersumber dari faktor internal dan eksternal perusahaan. Konsekuensi dari green marketing adalah performa bisnis.This article examines green marketing from the aspects of ontology, epistemology, and axiology of green marketing.  This research uses  the literature review method, by explaining the history and theory of green marketing, the  author hopes to get a more detailed picture of green marketing from previous researchers and make a conclusion about what should be done in the present and the future so that in the process of marketing the product also involves environmental aspects in order to achieve a balance  and continuity between industry, marketing production processes and links. This paper also identifies antaseden and the consequences of green marketing. Antecedents of green marketing can be sourced from internal and external factors of the company. The consequence of green marketing is business performance.

Abstract

The study of theory and practice in marketing has explored and provided an operational definition of brand image which is one of the most extensive and intensive constructs. The purpose of this study is to describe the brand image in the study of the philosophy of science. This study will explain the brand image which will be explained from the aspects of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The methodology in this study is to conduct a literature review from empirical sources or previous research. This study produces a conceptual model of age and gender variables that moderate the influence of brand image and brand personality on brand loyalty which affects brand equity.

Artikel ini membahas transisi pemikiran mengenai konflik yang berkembang dari pandangan tradisional, pandangan hubungan manusia sampai dengan pandangan interaksionis. Sejarah konsep konflik berasal dari kontribusi beberapa disiplin ilmu, terutama filsafat dan sosiologi. Bagian selanjutnya dari artikel ini membahas sifat konflik yang berupa konsep definisi, proses, sumber dan jenis konflik.

Abstract

Abstrak: Political Connection dalam Kajian Filsafat Ilmu. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah mengkaji aspek-aspek filosofis, yaitu aspek ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi pada konstruk political connection yang telah menjadi perhatian ilmuwan di bidang manajemen keuangan dan akuntansi. Tulisan ini merupakan paper konseptual, menggunakan pendekatan survey literatur dengan memetakan penelitian sebelumya terkait political connection di artikel jurnal terindeks Scopus dan Google Scholar selama tiga dekade terakhir. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan konsekuensi dari political connection adalah nilai perusahaan, kinerja keuangan, kinerja nonkeuangan, masalah keagenan, kelangsungan hidup bisnis, pilihan auditor dan kualitas audit, lingkungan perusahaan dan strategi perusahaan. Tulisan ini mengusulkan skema model penelitian yang menunjukkan pengaruh political connection terhadap nilai perusahaan dimoderasi oleh ukuran perusahaan, umur perusahaan dan jenis perusahaan.Kata kunci : Filsafat Ilmu, Political Connection, Ontologi, Epistemologi, AksiologiAbstract: Political Connection in the Study of Philosophy of Science. The purpose of this paper is to examine the philosophical aspects, namely: ontology, epistemology, and axiology on construct political relations that have been attention of scientists in the field of financial management and accounting. This paper is a conceptual paper, using a literature study approach by mapping previous research related to political relations in the article Scopus and Google Scholar indexed journals for the last three decades. The results of this study find the consequences of political connections are firm value, financial performance, non-financial performance, agency problems, business life choices, auditor choice and audit quality, corporate environment and corporate strategy. This paper proposes a research scheme that shows the effect of political relations on firm value moderated by firm size, firm age and type of firm.Keywords: Philosophy of Science, Political Connections, Ontology, Epistemology, Axiology
