Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to develop learning motivation and learning outcomes in citizenship education learning. The use of PBL models in this study aims to help students develop investigative skills to be able to solve the problem at hand. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and is used in the pre-test and post-test design groups. The subjects in this study were 34 students in SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique used "t" test with SPSS 16 assistance program and N-gain score test. The results of this study indicate that the PBL learning model on the values of the Pancasila material as a basis for the country and the national outlook on life significantly influence student motivation and learning outcomes. In this case, the PBL model can develop learning motivation and learning outcomes in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate structural models and measurement models of student satisfaction in online learning. This was a quantitative study using a survey research design. Structural model testing was done by examining the relationship between several variables. The variables in question were the learning management system (LMS), admin services, the performance of facilitator lecturers and student satisfaction in learning. The sample used in this study were 149 students. Data analysis was performed using the multivariate Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. The findings of this study indicated that the facilitator lecturer performance is the variable that has the greatest effect in increasing student satisfaction in online learning. Admin service is another variable that has a positive effect on student satisfaction, both direct and indirect effects. The LMS variable does not show a direct effect on student satisfaction, but the LMS has an indirect effect on student satisfaction through the variable facilitator lecturer performance and admin services.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar PPKn berbasis kearifan lokal yang layak untuk meningkatkan ketahanan budaya melalui peningkatan pemahaman konsep keberagaman budaya.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan mengikuti prosedur research and development ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil analisis kebutuhan, validasi ahli, implementasi produk pada uji coba lapangan pertama (one-to-one trial) dan uji coba lapangan kedua (small-group trial) di SMP Negeri 1 Yogyakarta, SMP Negeri 1 Depok, dan SMP Muhammadiyah Pakem. Penelitian ini dilakukan sampai tahap development dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 guru mata pelajaran PPKn dan 12 peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive dengan pertimbangan dari guru PPKn di sekolah.Hasil analisis data membuktikan produk bahan ajar PPKn berbasis kearifan lokal sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini dapat menjadi dasar penelitian dan pengembangan selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar inovatif yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan proses pembelajaran

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan berbagai upaya yang dilakukan guru untuk menciptakan suasana kelas yang kondusif dalam proses internalisasi nilai karakter disiplin di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta, dengan subjek guru dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim kelas yang kondusif merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam proses internalisasi nilai karakter disiplin di sekolah, khususnya sekolah dasar. Beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan guru pada tahap perencanaan adalah mempersiapakan sarana dan prasarana kelas, meliputi wastafel di dekat kelas, rak sepatu, tempat sampah, tempat mengumpulkan tugas siswa, tata tertib kelas, pesan-pesan afektif, daftar piket, dan sebagainya. Selanjutnya pada tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran, guru perlu melakukan proses pembelajaran sesuai dengan yang telah direncanakan, dan menjaga konsistensi dalam penerapan aturan sekolah maupun aturan kelas. Pada tahap akhir yaitu evaluasi terhadap proses belajar mengajar guru perlu melakuukan refleksi tentang perilaku disiplin siswa pada hari itu. Dalam upaya menciptakan iklim kelas yang kondusif tidak terlepas dari keteladanan kepala sekolah. Kata Kunci: internalisasi, karakter disiplin, iklim kelas INTERNALIZATION OF THE CHARACTER OF DISCIPLINE THROUGH THE CREATION OF CONDUCIVE CLASSROOM ATMOSPHERE AT MUHAMMADIYAH SAPEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This study aims to find the various effortsmade by the teachersto create a conducive classroom atmosphere for the internalization process of the character of discipline in elementary school. This was a descriptive study using a qualitative approach conducted at Muhammadiyah Sapen Elementary School in Yogyakarta, with the subjects consisting of teachers and students. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Data validity was achieved throughatriangulation technique. The results show that the conducive classroom is an important aspect that must be considered in the internalization process of the character of discipline in schools, particularly in primary schools. Some of the activities carried out at the planning stage were: teachers prepared class infrastructure, covering the washbasin near the classroom, shoe racks, rubbish bins, the box for submitting students’ assignments, classroom rules, affective messages, picket list, and so on. Then, in the implementation phase of learning, teachers needed to run the teaching and learning process as planned, and maintain consistency in the application of the school rules and the classroom rules. At the final stage, evaluation of the teaching and learning process, the teachers needed to reflect on the behavior of the students’ discipline on the day. The effort to create a conduciveclassroom atmospherecould not be separated from the principal’s role model. Keywords : internalization, character of discipline, classroom atmosphere

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) muatan nilai-nilai karakter; dan (2) kese- suaian nilai-nilai karakter antara buku guru dan buku siswa kelas IV semester 1 Sekolah Dasar. Pene- litian ini merupakan Penelitian Analisis Konten dengan subjek buku guru dan buku siswa kelas IV se- mester 1 sekolah dasar yang terdiri atas empat tema. Sebagai objek penelitian adalah muatan nilai-ni- lai karakter yang terkandung dalam buku tersebut. Hasil penelitian seperti berikut. (1) Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa kelas IV semester 1 telah mengembangkan nilai karakter religius, jujur, disiplin, peduli, santun, percaya diri, dan tanggung jawab. Nilai karakter dengan frekuensi kemunculan terbanyak ya- itu nilai karakter jujur, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan percaya diri, kemudian diikuti nilai karakter santun dan peduli. Nilai karakter religius memiliki frekuensi kemunculan terendah dari setiap tema. Pengembangan nilai karakter terlihat pada buku teks dengan memberikan model atau contoh pe- ngembangan nilai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, melalui kegiatan pembiasaan, mengintegrasikan kompetensi dari berbagai mata pelajaran, melibatkan secara langsung siswa dalam kegiatan pembe- lajaran, dan memberikan keteladanan. (2) Nilai-nilai karakter yang memiliki kesesuaian dari setiap tema yaitu nilai karakter yang mengembangkan sikap sosial. Nilai karakter tersebut adalah jujur, disi- plin, tanggung jawab, peduli, dan percaya diri. Pada karakter religius dan santun ditemukan bebe- rapa ketidaksesuaian pada tema berbagai pekerjaan. Kata Kunci: nilai-nilai karakter, buku teks, dan sekolah dasar  AN ANALYSIS OF CHARACTER VALUES IN THE TEXTBOOKS OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS OF THE FOURTH GRADE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON THE FIRST SEMESTER  Abstract: This study is aimed to describe: (1) the content of character values; and (2) the suitability of the character values between teacher textbooks and student textbooks of fourth grade of Elementary School on the first semester. This study is a content analysis research with the subject of the text book of teacher and student of the fourth grade of Elementary School in the first semester. The object of the research is the character values contained in the books. The results show that: (1) textbook of teachers and student of the fourth grade of elementary school in the first semester have developed a religious character values, honesty, discipline, caring, politeness, confident, and responsibility. The character val- ue with the highest frequency of occurrence value honest character, discipline, responsibility and con- fidence, followed by the character value politeness and caring. Character value of religious has the low- est frequency of occurrence of each theme. Development of the character value seen in textbooks with a model or example of the development of value in everyday life, through habituation, integrate the competencies of various subjects, direct engagement of students in learning activities, and provide exemplary. (2) The characters values that have suitability of any theme that is the character values that de- velop social attitudes. The character value is honest, discipline, responsibility, caring, and confident. Some discrepancy on the theme of various works was founded in religious character and politeness. Keywords: character values, textbook, and elementary school

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali, mengkaji, dan mendiskripsikan pelaksanaan pen- didikan karakter disiplin di sekolah dasar dan diharapkan dapat ditemukan kebijakan yang mendukung keberhasilan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta, dengan subjek kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam melaksanakan pendidikan karakter disiplin di SD Muhammadiyah Sapen dilakukan melalui sembilan kebijakan, yaitu (1) membuat program pendidikan karakter; (2) menetapkan aturan sekolah dan aturan kelas; (3) melakukan sholat Dhuha dan Sholat Dhuhur berjamaah; (4) membuat pos afektif di setiap kelas; (5) memantau perilaku kedisiplinan siswa di rumah melalui buku catatan kegiatan harian; (6) memberikan pesan-pesan afektif di berbagai sudut sekolah; (7) melibatkan orang tua; (8) melibatkan komite sekolah; dan (9) menciptakan iklim kelas yang kondusif. Abstract

of state and nation, if we educate them optimally. Education is an effort to develop potentials of the children since earlier ages. One of the education which must be given is moral values, according to anticipate the spreading of the negative behavior done by children, either it is inconsequential or seriously consequential. Besides, it is suitable to the scope of Early Childhood Education, which includes moral and religious values.The way to implant moral values to Early Childhood can be carried out by means of narrating strategy. It is appropriate to the Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. On the other hand, there are more benefits which are possible to get. In fact, many parents have not a lot of time to narrate their children some stories. Most of them, especially mothers, are professional or career women, etc. Nowadays popularity of verbal narration has been surpassed by luster of electronic media and more attractive toys. It was a challenge to parent and teachers to make their verbal narration more attractive. Thus, the message on moral values can be perceived well by the children.In order to make an attractive narration, parents or teachers have to care many aspects related to technique of narrating, i.e. the types of story, the used method, visual-aid instrument, vocalization, gesture, etc. Those can support success of using of narrating strategy to implant moral values for children.

Abstract

Civics Education in elementary school is a subject full of affective domain. To develop student’s affective attitudes, the learning process not only based on text book, but also from environment. The learning experience obtained as much as possible to provide real learning experiences of students. One of source which can be utilized in Civic Education learning is based on the environment. Environment that can be used for Civic Education learning in primary schools is the natural environment, social environment, and cultural environments.

Abstract

This study aims to describe nationalism education for young Indonesian generation in the globalization era. This is descriptive qualitative research conducted in several Senior High Schools. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were Civic Education teachers in Yogyakarta Province and students who attended the Civic Education classes. The collected data were then analyzed with the inductive analysis technique. The results revealed two nationalism education models for the young generation in the globalization era: promoting nationalism through Civic Education and extracurricular activities. Teachers promote nationalism by developing learning methods, learning materials, learning media, and student worksheets incorporating nationalismvalues. Meanwhile, extracurricular activities in schools were carried out through activities that promote nationalism.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to analyze: (1) the significance effects of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Method on the motivation to learn PPKn, (2) the significance effects of PBL Method on PPKn learning result, (3) the significance effects of PBL on the result and motivation of the students in PPKn learning process, and (4) to find out the effectiveness among PBL Method, the Inquiry and Conventional Learning Method in learning PPKn. This research was quasi experiment by pretest-posttest control group design. The participants were the 10th grade of SMA Negeri 1 Pacet Mojokerto 2016/2017 year academic. The results: (1) there were significance effects of the PBL Method on the motivation to learn PPKn; (2) there were significance effects of PBL Method on PPKn learning result; (3) there were significance effects of Problem-Based Learning on the result and motivation to the students in PPKn learning process; (4) the most effective method of learning PPKn was Problem-Based Learning.
