Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN PENUNTUN PRAKTIKUM FISIKA BERBASIS KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM SOLVING AbstractBased on the results of several studies on the analysis of early skills of new students science process of 2016/2017 shows that students' skills in practicing practicum are low. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a science-based Skills Processing Guide and use model one of the problem-solving. The purpose of this research is to know the result of the development of Physics Basic I Basic Pharmacist I guide using problem-solving on friction material and to know the student response to the guidance developed. This type of research is research development with Borg and Gall model. Research stages include preliminary studies, product design, validation results, and trial results. The subjects of this research trial are Physics education students who have contracted Basic Physics course I. The instrument used is an expert validation sheet and a response questionnaire. The technique of data analysis from validator conducted by descriptive qualitative. While the response questionnaire scores were done descriptively. Expert validation results state that the materials have been in accordance with the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and the activities in the practical guide have been in accordance with the problem solving and skills-based steps of the scientific process. The response test results obtained on average is 3.1 (good).AbstrakBerdasarkan hasil dari beberapa penelitian mengenai analisis kemampuan awal keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa baru tahun 2016/2017 menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan praktikum tergolong rendah. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pengembangan penuntun berbasis Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) dan menggunakan model salah satunya problem solving. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil pengembangan penuntun praktikum Fisika Dasar I berbasis KPS dengan menggunakan problem solving pada materi gesekan dan untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap penuntun yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model Borg and Gall. Tahapan penelitian meliputi studi pendahuluan, desain produk, hasil validasi, dan hasil uji coba. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan Fisika yang telah mengontrak mata kuliah Fisika Dasar I. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli dan angket respon. Teknik analisis data dari validator yang dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Sedangkan skor angket respon dilakukan secara statistik deskriptif.Hasil validasi ahli menyatakan bahwa materi telah sesuai dengan Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) dan kegiatan dalam penuntun praktikum telah sesuai dengan langkah-langkah problem solving  dan berbasis keterampilan proses sains. Abstract

PERCEPTION OF BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY TEACHER EDUCATION STUDENTS ON MOBILE LEARNING-BASED BASIC PHYSICS PRACTICUM GUIDEBOOK AbstractGuidebooks are a learning resource that can be used by students. Ease of accessing practical guidebooks can motivate learning for students, so a guidebook through mobile learning is one of the solutions in providing easy access to practical manuals. This study aims to determine student perceptions about the use of mobile physics-based Basic Physic Practicum Guides The research method is quantitative. Using descriptive statistical analysis. In research using random sampling techniques. There are 29 Chemistry Education students and 28 Biology Education students. All respondents will be given a perception questionnaire. Then 10 Chemistry Education students and 10 Biology Education students will be interviewed. The results of the analysis showed the perception of Chemistry Education students about the use of mobile learning-based practicum guides has enough criteria with a percentage of 50%. While the perception of Biology Education students about the use of practicum guides based on mobile learning has Good criteria with a percentage of 58.62%. From the interviews, it was found that 89% agreed with the use of smartphones for academic purposes, with the reason to access educational information, and their use was simple. 100% of students agree that the use of smartphones can help to learn activities wherever and whenever and can provide motivation for students in practical activities. This shows that students of Chemistry Education and Biology Education provide positive perceptions about the use of a Mobile learning-based Basic Physics Practicum Guidebook.AbstrakBuku panduan merupakan sebuah sumber belajar yang dapat digunakan mahasiswa. Kemudahan dalam mengakses buku panduan praktikm dapat memberikan motivasi belajar bagi mahasiswa, jadi buku panduan melalui mobile learning menjadi salah satu solusi dalam memberikan kemudahan dalam melakukan akses pada buku panduan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tentang penggunaan panduan praktikum Fisika Dasar berbasis mobile learning. Dengan metode penelitian yaitu metode kuantitatif. Menggunakan analisis statistic deskriptif. Pada penelitian menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel random. Berjumlah 29 orang mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia dan 28 orang mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi. Seluruh responden akan diberikan angket persepsi. Kemudian 10 mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia dan 10 orang mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi akan dilakukan wawancara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia terhadap penggunaan panduan praktikum berbasis mobile learning memiliki kriteria yang cukup baik dengan persentase 50%. Sedangkan persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi tentang penggunaan panduan praktikum berbasis mobile learning memiliki kriteria Baik dengan persentase 58,62%. Dari hasil wawancara didapatkan 89% setuju dengan penggunaan smartphone untuk tujuan akademik, dengan alasan untuk mengakses informasi yang bersifat edukatif, dan penggunaannya simple. 100% mahasiswa setuju bahwa penggunaan smartphone dapat membantu kegiatan belajar dimana dan kapanpun serta mampu memberikan motivasi bagi mahasiswa dalam kegiatan praktikum. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia dan Pendidikan Biologi memberikan persepsi yang positif tentang penggunaan buku panduan praktikum Fisika Dasar berbasis mobile learning.

Abstract

Abstrak:Sikap adalah ekspresi menerima (sikap positif) ataupun menolak (sikap negatif) suatu objek. Analisis sikap terhadap IPA merupakan penilaian siswa terhadap IPA, sehingga akan diketahui apakah siswa tersebut memiliki sikap positif atau sikap negatif terhadap IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sikap siswa berdasarkan tiga indikator sikap siswa terhadap IPA. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan wawancara. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 2815 siswa/i SMP Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implikasi sosial dari mata pelajaran IPA menunjukkan kategori sangat baik yang mencapai hingga 53,2%, sedangkan kesenangan dalam belajar IPA menunjukkan kategori baik dengan persentase 48,1%, serta ketertarikan berkarir di bidang IPA berkategori cukup dengan persentase sebesar 41,8%. Secara umum hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa sikap siswa di SMP berkategori baik, karena ketiga indikator yang diukur menunjukkan kategori baik yang menunjukkan sikap positif.Abstract:Attitude is an expression of accepting (positive attitude) or rejecting (negative attitude) of an object. Attitude Analysis towards natural sciences (IPA) was the students' assessments on Natural Sciences to know whether the students had a positive attitude or a negative attitude towards Natural Sciences. This study aimed to describe the students’ attitude towards Natural Sciences based on three indicators. This study was survey research using questionnaire and interview as instruments. The sample in this study consisted of 2815 students of junior high school in Muaro Jambi Regency. The results of the study showed that the social implications of Natural Science subject showed very good categories reaching up to 53.2%, while the interest in learning Natural Sciences showed good categories with a percentage of 48.1%, and career interest of natural science was adequate with a percentage of 41.8%. In general, the results of this study indicated that the attitude of the students in senior high school was categorized good because the three indicators showed good categories that indicated positive attitude.

Abstract

An attitude is a form of one's perception of an object that is described with expressions of like or not. The purpose of the study was to describe the attitudes of students towards the three indicators of the attitude of the junior high school in Batanghari. The research method uses quantitative survey research. The instrument used was a questionnaire that focused on three indicators consisting of 18 statements and also interviews. The sample in this study was 280 students in Batanghari. The results of research on three attitude indicators which became the dominant focus of research in the good category. The Social Implications of the Science show a good category with a percentage of 57.9%. The pleasure of science learning is well categorized with a percentage of 45.4%. The attitude towards the science investigation is categorized sufficiently with the percentage category of 41.1%. From the research that has been carried out, it can be seen that the attitude of students in junior high school is categorized as good, because the three indicators examined show good categories.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the views of students majoring in mathematics education and natural science faculty of teacher training and education science at Universitas Jambi to use electronic’s module in physics practicum which is based on science process skills. The study involved 117 students majoring in mathematics education and science which consists of 59 students of physical education and 58 students of mathematics education. This research is descriptive quantitative research in order to obtain information mean (M), median (Me), mode (Mo), percentage, the range of the maximum value and the minimum value. Data was collected by using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the research results from students’ perceptions of physical education in good category at 64.4% while the student's perception of mathematics education in good category amounting to 55.2%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa bahan ajar dalam bentuk modul elektronik dengan menggunakan aplikasi software 3D Pageflip Professional untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dalam penelitian ini pada angket Persepsi menperoleh frekuensi sebanyak 25 siswa dengan persentase 100% dalam kategori cukup. Untuk angket minat mendapatkan frekuensi sebanyak 20 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 80% dalam kategori baik. Sementara untuk angket motivasi diperoleh frekuensi sebanyak 25 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 100% dalam kategori baik. Dari data yang dihasilkan menunjukkan bahwa modul elektronik etnokontruktivisme berbasis software 3D Pageflip Professional yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The learning model is one of the strategic approaches that must be carried out by the teacher systematically and procedurally in organizing learning activities to achieve optimal learning goals. In physics, the learning process is still centered on the teacher, where the teacher still conveys the overall concept on the blackboard which is not following the 2013 curriculum that has been set. This proves that teachers who have not applied the learning model according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum This research was conducted at SMAN 08 Muaro Jambi on grade X IPA 2 students which aimed to determine student responses when given a discovery learning model during the physics learning process. The instrument used was a student questionnaire with a sample of 21 students. This research uses a mixed-method with a sequential explanatory design. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics to get the average value, mode, median, minimum, maximum. Based on the results of the study found that the level of student response to the learning model is categorized as good with a percentage of 61.9%.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the reading pleasure of junior high school students through four indicators. The research was conducted with a total sample of 281 students from grades VII, VIII, and IX in junior high schools. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research design used is an explanatory design. The quantitative instrument in the form of a reading pleasure instrument consists of 40 statements, while the qualitative instrument is in the form of interviews with ten students, four teachers, and two heads of the library. The data collection technique was carried out by survey (field research). The results of this study indicate that the indicators of general attitudes towards reading are on a neutral scale, the indicators of reading preferences are on a neutral scale, the indicators of the effects of reading on ability are on the agreeing scale, the indicators of students' negative views on reading are on the disagree scale. The results of interviews with the teacher can be seen that the teacher has reminded students always to read books other than in face-to-face activities in class, then the results of interviews with the head of the library can be seen that junior high school students have high enthusiasm for reading and borrowing books in the library, the results of interviews with male students and female students show that female students have better reading pleasure than male.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pendidikan fisika Universitas Jambi setelah menggunakan penuntun praktikum Fisika Dasar II berbasis Keterampilan Proses Sains ada percobaan suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini jenis kuantitatif. Penelitian ini mahasiswa yang diikutsertakan yaitu 91 orang. Lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains digunakan mengumpulkan data dan diperkuat dengan wawancara serta dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan jika Keterampilan Proses Sains yang dapat dikuasai mahasiswa yaitu mengukur dan eksperimen. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menjadi pertimbangan bagi program studi fisika untuk melakukan studi terkait untuk mata kuliah praktikum lainnya. The research was conducted to find out the description about science process skill of physics education student of Jambi University on an experiment of temperature and heat. The research is quantitative research with the quasi-experimental method. This research takes 91 students as sample. Observation sheets are used to collect data and reinforced by interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis show that SPS that can be mastered by students is measuring and experimenting. The result of the study is expected to be the consideration to program and other faculties at Jambi University and other Universities to conduct related studies. Kata kunci: Keterampilan Proses Sains, Pendidikan Tinggi, Suhu dan Kalor

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran fisika di SMA Kabupaten Batanghari, Beserta kendala yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif kuantitatif dengan prosedur penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 926 siswa SMA di Kabupaten Batanghari. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan lembar wawancara. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan descriptive statistic sedangkan analisis data kualitatif menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari 4 aspek indikator sikap yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah pada Indikator normalitas ilmuwan sebesar 8.3 % berkategori baik. Sedangkan adopsi dari sikap ilmiah sebesar 74% berkategori baik. Kemudian pada indikator ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika sebesar 57.9% siswa berkategori cukup, dan pada indikator ketertarikan berkarir di bidang fisika sebanyak 45% siswa juga berkategori cukup. This study is to find out the description of students' attitudes toward physics subjects in Batanghari District High School, along with the constraints faced. This research is quantitative-qualitative research with survey research procedure. The subject of this research is 926 high school students in Batanghari District. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview sheets. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive statistics while qualitative data analysis uses data analysis techniques modeled by Miles and Huberman. The results of the 4 aspects of attitude indicators discussed in this study are on indicators of normality of science as much as 58.3% in the good category. While the adoption of scientific attitudes as much as 74% categorized well. Then on the indicator of interest in increasing the time to study physics as much as 57.9% of students are categorized sufficiently, and on the indicator of interest in a career in the field of physics as much as 45% of students are also categorized as sufficient. Kata kunci: sikap, sikap ilmiah, fisika, sains
