Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the initial trials of the speaking practice module using the jigsaw method for the Speaking and Learning course. This is a type of research and development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall development model which consist of several steps (1) analysis of need; (2) planning; (3) development of product; (4) validation and revision of product; and (5) trial of product. The trial of product was conducted on 12 students. The data was collected by using a product trials questionnaire to get student responses after using the speaking practice module that had been developed. The following are the results of research: (1) the availability of a speaking practice module that has been developed is able to facilitate and motivate students to practice speaking. (2) The product of the development of this speaking practice module consists of public speaking material, this jigsaw method is very helpful for students in understanding a type of speaking and explaining it to their friends in their group. (3) This product has met the product eligibility criteria shown from the results of the student response questionnaire with details on the presentation aspect with the "good" category with a score of 4.00, the material aspect with the "very good" category with a score of 4,3, and the aspect of benefits with a "good" category with a score of 4.00. The results of the validation of the speaking practice module using the jigsaw method are very helpful for students in speaking practice.  Keywords: module development, speaking subject, jigsaw method. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil uji coba awal modul praktik berbicara dengan metode jigsaw untuk mata kuliah Berbicara dan Pembelajarannya. Ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg & Gall yang terdiri atas beberapa langkah, yaitu (1) analisis kebutuhan; (2) perencanaan; (3) pengembangan produk; (4) validasi dan revisi produk; dan (5) uji coba produk. Uji coba dilaksanakan pada 12 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket uji coba produk untuk mendapatkan tanggapan mahasiswa setelah menggunakan modul praktik berbicara yang telah dikembangkan. Berikut hasil penelitiannya: (1) ketersediaan modul praktik berbicara yang telah dikembangka mampu memfasilitasi dan memotivasi mahasiswa untuk melakukan praktik berbicara. (2) Produk pengembangan modul praktik berbicara ini terdiri atas materi berbicara di depan umum, metode jigsaw ini sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami suatu jenis berbicara dan menjelaskannya kepada teman-teman di kelompoknya. (3) Produk ini telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan produk yang ditunjukkan dari hasil angket tanggapan mahasiswa dengan rincian pada aspek penyajian dengan kualifikasi “layak” dengan skor 4,00, aspek materi dengan kualifikasi “sangat layak” dengan skor 4,3, dan aspek manfaat dengan kualifikasi “layak” dengan skor 4,00. Hasil validasi modul praktik berbicara dengan metode jigsaw sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam praktik berbicara.  Kata Kunci: pengembangan modul, mata kuliah berbicara, metode jigsaw.

Abstract

The research was distributed by speakers often use the speech act the imperative of using imperative is not directly on the show Talk Show on NET TV. This research was conducted to describe, first, the principle of politeness on the show is a Talk Show, and second; describe the shape of the speech act event is imperative on a Talk Show. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. This research instrument is its own researchers assisted with books relating to the research. This research data taken with video how to download this show Talk Show from Youtube Edition January 2016. Based on the results of the study can be summed up as the following things. First, the principle of politeness that is found in the speech act event is imperative on a Talk Show is the tact maxim , generosity maxim, agreement maxim, sympathy maxim. Second, the imperative form of the shareholder said on a Talk Show this event is imperative reigning speech act, telling, asking, pleading, urgent, cajoling, appealed, inviting, call request, permission, permit, prohibition, expectations, and advice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh media video pengetahuan alam terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas vii smp siman jaya lamongan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi eksperimen, desain eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode nontes berupa penugasan menulis teks teks deskripsi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikan 5% (0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh media video pengetahuan alam terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Siman Jaya Lamongan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberi tambahan pengetahuan tentang teori pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi, serta memberi tambahan pengetahuan bagi tenaga pendidik untuk mengelola proses belajar pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjelaskan berita Indonesia sebagai juara di olimpiade internasional pada media online periode Januari—Mei 2015 dalam perspektif Teun A. Van Dijk. Data bersumber dari wacana berita tentang Indonesia sebagai juara di Olimpiade Internasional pada media online di Indonesia periode Januari—Mei 2015 dengan teknik sampling jenuh dan dianalisis dengan model Teun A. Van Dijk difokuskan pada level teks. Relevan dengan pendapat Sugiyono (2010: 85) bahwa teknik pengambilan sampel yang melibatkan seluruh anggota populasi sampling jenuh dapat dilakukakan bila sampel populasi relatif kecil, yaitu kurang dari 30. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah berita Indonesia sebagai juara di Olimpiade Internasional pada media online periode Januari—Mei 2015 memuat (1) perbedaan sudut pandang pemberitaan indonesia menjadi juara umum dalam olimpiade; (2) mengklasifikasikan data dalam perspektif Van Dijk; (3) mempresentasekan klasifikasi dalam data penelitian; (4) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis elemen wacana yang terdapat dalam teks berita; (5) dan menyimpulkan hasil deskripsi dan analisis.

Abstract

Vernacular or local language as general used by several communities which is admitted by cultural symbol of those communities. Such as Madurese Language. Madurese language is interesting to be analyzed due to the various dialect which available. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the language variety which exists in Madurese language. It also elaborates the phonological correspondence which is occurred between Indonesian and Madurese language. This study uses ethnography of communication approach that is formulated by Dell Hymes. Furthermore, to conduct this study, the library research method is applied to serve the data. This study finds out some different dialects and speech levels which exist in Madurese language. subsequently, some various phonological correspondences also occur between Indonesian and Madurese language

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of code switching and code mixing as well as the factors that influence the occurrence of code switching and code mixing events in teacher and student interactions during the teaching and learning process in the classroom. This research is included in qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study were obtained by using the listening method and the following techniques, namely tapping technique, free-involvement-free listening (SBLC) technique, recording technique and note-taking technique. The research data were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques based on sociolinguistic theory. Checking the validity of the data obtained in this study using a triangulation test. The results of the study found that there were 22 utterances of code switching and code mixing found in the teaching and learning process in Indonesian language learning, namely: (1) Internal code switching was 10 utterances and external code switching was 1 utterance. (2) Mixing the internal code of 5 utterances and mixing the external code of 6 utterances. It can be concluded that internal code switching is more dominantly used during teaching and learning interactions in learning Indonesian

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan wujud inferensi pada wacana yang terdapat di rubrik opini koran cetak Jawa Pos edisi Desember 2020-Maret 2021. Data penelitian berupa kalimat atau wacana dalam rubrik opini koran Jawa Pos. sumber data adalah rubrik opini koran Jawa Pos yang terbit pada bulan Desember 2020 sampai dengan Maret 2021, sehingga sumber data berjumlah 16 koran yang terdiri dari 33 wacana. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenis inferensi wacana dan wujud inferensi dalam rubrik opini koran Jawa Pos. Jenis inferensi wacana yang ditemukan sebanyak delapan macam. Jenis inferensi wacana tersebut adalah jenis inferensi wacana politik; jenis inferensi wacana sosial; jenis inferensi ekonomi; jenis inferensi kriminal; jenis inferensi hukum; jenis inferensi kesehatan; jenis inferensi pendidikan; dan jenis inferensi budaya. Wujud inferensi pada wacana dapat dilihat dari penggunaan kata atau istilah yang mengelilingi wacana tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kemampuan menulis teks anekdot dengan menggunakan strategi outdoor learning di kelas X SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen.. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di sma Darul Ulum Kepohbaru. Data penelitian kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji t yang sebelumnya menggunakan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas menggunakan program SPSS 24. Nilai rata-rata siswa-siswi kelas X di kelas kontrol adalah 40 pada tes awal (pretes). Sedangkan, nilai rata-rata siswa-siswi kelas X di kelas kontrol adalah 75 pada tes akhir (post-test). Untuk nilai rata-rata siswa-siswi kelas X di kelas eksperimen adalah 41 pada tes awal (pretes). Sedangkan, nilai rata-rata siswa-siswi kelas X di kelas eksperimen adalah 65 pada tes akhir (post-test). Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa nilai uji t signifikansinya adalah 0.457 menunjukkan bahwa 0,457 > 0,05 maka H0 diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh strategi outdoor learning terhadap kemampuan menulis teks anekdot dalam pembelajaran pada siswa kelas X SMA Darul ulum Kepohbaru

Abstract

The purpose of this community based is to increase the interest in reading by MI students using the community-based "ABACALAH" method. The method in community based is partnership-based. The location of this community service is carried out at MI Hayatul Ulum Pangean Maduran lamongan East Java. This form of community service activity is in the form of mentoring, providing motivation, lectures, and discussions. The result of this community service is that students are motivated and increasingly active in reading because this service also provides books collectively, as well as adding books in the school library. During the service activity, students were very enthusiastic in solving several questions provided. Based on the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that this service program runs in accordance with the purpose of the activity, namely students are motivated when they are guided to read both fiction and nonfiction books

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the influence of natural knowledge video media on students' critical thinking skills in writing the text of the description of class VII junior high school student Siman Jaya Lamongan. This type of research uses Quasi experiment (pseudo experiment), pretest- posttest control group design design. Data collection techniques in the form of giving assignments to write description text to students. Data analysis techniques are carried out using prerequisite tests in the form of normality tests and homogenite tests, after which hypothesis tests are conducted using t-tests with a significant level of 5% (0.05). The results found in this study were that students' critical thinking ability to write text descriptions in control classes had an average score of 69.65 while in the experimental class had an average score of 79.81. Based on the hypothesis test using the t-test shows that the value of thitung = 5.40, thus it is known if thitung > ttabel i.e. (5.40 > 2.004) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on this, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on students' critical thinking skills in writing description texts using media in the form of natural knowledge videos in class VII siman jaya lamongan junior high school.
