Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of teachers (SD and TK) and parents in preparing for the transition period of children to elementary school in Kecamatan Air Sugihan. This research uses descriptive quantitative research with a survei method. Respondents in this study were 7 first grade elementary school teachers, 11 kindergarten teachers, and 89 parents of students. The study results indicate that child development is not optimal and environmental changes are the main problems in the transition period of children so that the roles of teachers (SD and TK) and parents play an essential role in the transition period of children to produce optimal school readiness. This role is in the form of responsibility for children's school readiness, as a motivator for children, as a role model, as a supervisor and as a place to ask children so that all the needs of children's school readiness are met. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan peran guru (SD dan TK) dan orangtua dalam penyiapan masa transisi anak ke sekolah dasar di kecamatan Air Sugihan. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Responden dalam penelitian ini 7 orang guru kelas I SD, 11 orang guru TK, dan 89 orangtua siswa. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan anak yang belum optimal dan perubahan lingkungan merupakan masalah utama dalam masa transisi anak sehingga peran guru (SD dan TK) dan orangtua sangat berperan penting dalam hal masa transisi anak agar menghasilkan kesiapan bersekolah yang optimal. Peran tersebut berupa tanggung jawab terhadap kesiapan sekolah anak, motivator bagi anak, sebagai panutan, sebagai pengawas dan sebagai tempat bertanya anak sehingga semua kebutuhan dalam kesiapan sekolah anak terpenuhi.

Abstract

The flipped classroom is very helpful for students to understand learning material, but it is still very minimally used, especially in history learning. This study analyzed the effect of the flipped classroom model in history learning to improve students' critical thinking. This study employed a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design, by dividing into two class groups, namely experimental and control. The sample was 121 students who were selected through cluster random sampling technique. The data collection was through observation, interviews, and instruments in the form of critical thinking tests. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test and N-gain score test to analyze the effect of a flipped classroom in history learning to improve critical thinking. The results showed that the flipped classroom in history learning had a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills as evidenced by the independent sample t-test test with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, and the N-gain score test which was included in the moderate criteria. So, the flipped classroom model in history learning is very suitable to be used and implemented. Hence, learning objectives are achieved so that history learning can run well and optimally.

Abstract

This study describes the learning process of religious-based character education at TK ABA Berbah, Sleman, during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study incorporates a qualitative research method with a descriptive case study approach. Findings suggest that the school implemented blended learning activities in which lessons are conducted online and offline. Habituation became a key activity during the offline session. The involvement of parents contributed to the success of learning during the pandemic, set an example, and monitor their kids at home. Blended learning provided an increase in the communication's intensity and the relationship between parents, children, and teachers so that teaching and learning religious-based character education can be conducted appropriately amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The high level of educational participation has not guaranteed the quality of education in a country. Especially developing countries, the issue of educational participation can be overcome with the maximum, but the problem that is still the agenda in various countries is about the equalization of the quality of education. This article is an article compiled based on literature review of the issues. One of the key factors causing inequality in the quality of education is the irregularity of the quality of educators which ultimately affects the inequality of teaching quality. The literature study conducted finding the teacher community is an effective solution to solve the problem. The professional community is an association of teachers to interact with each other and communicate in an integrated learning and teaching improvement. The professional community of teachers is considered to be able to overcome the quality of educators who are located in remote areas. The activities of this professional community of teachers can also be maximized by the use of various media such as internet network. Addressing the gap in teaching quality between remote and airspace will ultimately be able to address the inequalities of appropriate educational quality.

Abstract

Usia anak adalah usia emas untuk mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan majemuk yang dimiliki. Akan tetapi, selama ini kegiatan pendidikan sering direduksi sebagai kegiatan pengajaran dan persekolahan yang terpusat pada transfer pengetahuan secara statis dan terkadang lupa untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan non akademik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelatihan guru Aisyiyah kabupaten Banyuwangi dalam mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan majemuk anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan berupa ceramah dialogis, latihan (simulasi), dan pendampingan. Dari 38 sasaran, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 49.74% puas, 48.70% sangat puas, dan hanya 1.56% tidak puas terhadap isi, metode, maupun fasilitas yang disediakan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa isi materi sesuai dan dapat menambah pengetahuan guru untuk diaplikasikan di lingkungan kerjanya. Guru juga merasa mendapat pengalaman baru karena belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan serupa sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas guru, pelatihan semacam ini perlu dilanjutkan dan ditingkatkan. Children's intelligence development training for Aisyiyah kindergarten teachersEarly childhood is the golden age to develop their potential multiple intelligences. However, educational activities have often been reduced as teaching and schooling which centered on static transfer of knowledge and sometimes forget to develop non-academic intelligence. This paper aims to describe Aisyiyah teachers training in Banyuwangi Regency to develop the potential multiple intelligence in early childhood. We used dialogical lectures, exercises (simulations), and assistance as the methods. The results showed that 49.74% of 38 participants were satisfied, 48.70% were very satisfied, and only 1.56% were dissatisfied with the contents, methods, and facilities provided. This shows that contents of the material improve teacher's knowledge and could be applied in the teaching environment. The teacher also feels that they gained new experience because never attended a similar training before. Therefore, this kind of training needs to be continued and improved to improve teacher professionalism.

Abstract

Nowadays, during the covid-19 pandemic, the development of educational technology has brought a significant influence and contribution to education in the world which urges learning innovations. This research used a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that several innovations emerge as new breakthroughs so that education would no longer be monotonous and conventional. Those innovations are (1) Project Based Learning, (2) Daring Methods, (3) Luring Methods, (4) Integrated Curriculum, (5) Blended Learning. Behind the learning innovation there are also supporting opportunities through educational technology, including (1) Educational technology makes information in conveying material is easier to obtain, (2) Educational technology creates a very broad scope during the pandemic period, (3) Educational technology has a beneficial impact on education actors, (4) Technology can replace the position of educators with independent learning. However, there are also obstacles that pose challenges, including (1) Islamic sources (Al-Qur'an and Hadith) as a source of Islamic teachings, (2) Technology as a scientific product and (3) Human Resources as technology users for the success of e-learning.

Abstract

Perilaku sosial anak seharusnya dikembangkan sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya peningkatan dalam pengembangan model garden-based learning untuk meningkatkan perilaku prososial anak usia dini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan yang mengadaptasi model ADDIE, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 33 anak usia 5-6 tahun. Analisis data yang  digunakan adalah uji nonparametric dan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan negative ranks antara hasil pretest dan posttest adalah 0, nilai ini menunjukan tidak adanya penurunan nilai pretest ke posttest. Positif ranks antara hasil pretest dan posttest mengalami peningkatan, mean rank tersebut adalah 17.00, nilai Ties 0 maka tidak adanya nilai yang sama antara pretest dan posttest. Diketahui Asymp.sig (2.tailed) bernilai 0.000, hipotesis diterima karena nilai 0.000 0.05, artinya ada perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest, disimpulkan pengembangan model garden-based learning mampu meningkatkan perilaku prososial anak usia dini

Abstract

One of the provisions of parents to stimulate aspects of moral religious behavior in early childhood at home is by attending religious activities held in schools and places of worship. The study involved 26 children aged 4-6 years from working mothers. With a quantitative descriptive research approach the type of correlation is from mothers who have careers and participate in religious activities or not. This study looked at whether there were differences in moral religious behavior of children from both parents' backgrounds. The results showed that there were differences in the moral behavior of children's religion seen from the results of the Mann Whitney t test obtained by the results of sig. equal to 0,000 or probability value that is 0.05. The effect of caregiving is proven on the behavior of children of mothers who attend religious activities that are more controlled than children of mothers who do not attend religious activities. Children tend not to be temperament, able to resist emotions, help each other, easily forgive and get used to pray before and after doing activities. This finding proves that nurturing the role of mother in the home environment is very influential despite being busy with her work

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau strategi guru dan keterlibatan orang tua dalam upaya pemahaman konsep sains anak TK Islam Al-Azhar 41 Palembang selama pandemi melalui pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan jenis pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan dua orang guru dan penyebaran angket kepada 31 orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru dalam mempersiapkan pembelajaran sains seperti; mengadakan sosialisasi guru dengan melibatkan orang tua dan melakukan briefing antar sesama guru dengan mempelajari video tutorial sains ternyata dapat menambah rasa percaya diri guru dalam mengajarkan sains serta menjadi lebih kreatif memilih konten sains yang tepat. Disamping itu, ditemukan lebih dari 50% orang tua terlibat dalam pembelajaran sains anak, mulai dari persiapan, proses, dan evaluasi. Kerja sama antara guru dan orang tua dalam pemahaman konsep sains anak mampu membantu anak berpikir lebih kritis, memecahkan masalah, dan mengetahui sebab-akibat dari sesuatu yang diamati di lingkungannya

Abstract

Pemindahan pembelajaran ke rumah secara daring sebagai upaya mencegah penularan Covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan pada sistem pendidikan baik dari segi pembelajaran, penilaian, media dan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan penilaian perkembangan anak selama belajar dari rumah. Subjek penelitian 23 guru Taman Kanak-Kanak dari 10 sekolah yang melaksanakan pembelajaran jarak jauh di Sumatra Utara dengan risiko sedang penyebaran COVID-19 yaitu, Kota Medan, Deli Serdang, Serdang Berdagai, Asahan, dan Labuhan Batu. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitaif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Kuesioner disusun menggunakan Google Form, selanjutnya tautannya disebarkan guru melalui media whatsapp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan penilaian perkembangan anak tetap dilaksanakan meski pembelajaran dilakukan dari rumah. Penilaian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan informasi melalui laporan orang tua. Laporan orang tua berupa dokumentasi terkait proses kegiatan dan hasil kerja anak. Dikumpulkan menjadi  portofolio yang berisi dokumentasi elektronik  yaitu foto hasil lembar kerja, hasil karya anak, dan video unjuk kerja anak yang disatukan dalam bentuk file untuk dilakukan penilaian.
