Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of distance learning online (e-learning) using an LMS that is adaptive to learning styles with the asynchronous method. The research method was carried out by comparing two groups that received the same e-learning treatment, distinguished by LMS vehicle. The treatment group is a group with students who get e-learning with LMS that is adaptive to learning styles. the control group is a group with students who get e-learning with ordinary LMS. Is there a difference in the learning achievement of the two groups? This activity is carried out in vocational high schools, in PKK subjects on the subject of products and services. Statistical measurements show that there are differences in learning achievement in the two groups. The group with LMS that was adaptive to learning styles had better performance than the group with LMS that was non-adaptive to learning styles. Learning styles have not had a significant impact on student learning outcomes. However, because the content of the learning media is more in line with the domain, it is the cause of the better performance of the treatment group than the control group. The concept of asynchronous PJJ which is applied in this LMS solves the technical problems that arise. The time window lag that is realized with the asynchronous concept provides opportunities for students to receive learning content, elaborate learning with friends and teachers, do assignments and test competency learning outcomesKeyword: Learning style, asynchronous method on Web-based distance learning, LMS, Covid-19 Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) dalam jaringan (daring) menggunakan LMS yang adaptif terhadap gaya belajar dengan metode asynchronous. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan dua kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan PJJ yang sama, dibedakan pada wahana LMS-nya. kelompok perlakuan merupakan kelompok dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan LMS yang adaptif terhadap gaya belajar. kelompok kontrol merupakan kelompok dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan LMS biasa. Apakah terdapat beda prestasi belajar dari kedua kelompok tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada sekolah menengah kejuruan, pada matapelajaran PKK pokok bahasan produk dan jasa. Pengukuran secara statistik menunjukkan terdapat beda prestasi belajar pada dua kelompok tersebut. Kelompok dengan LMS yang adaptif terhadap gaya belajar memiliki prestasi lebih baik daripada kelompok dengan LMS non-adaptif terhadap gaya belajar. Gaya belajar belum memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Namun karena konten media belajarnya lebih sesuai dengan domainnya menjadi penyebab prestasi kelompok perlakuan lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol. Konsep PJJ asynchronous yang diterapkan dalam LMS ini menyelesaikan permasalahan teknis yang muncul. Jeda jendela waktu yang terwujud dengan konsep asynchronous memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk menerima konten pembelajaran, mengelaborasi belajar bersama teman dan guru, mengerjakan tugas dan uji kompetensi hasil belajar. Kata kunci: Gaya belajar, PJJ asynchronous, LMS, Covid-19

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the influence of financial literacy and gadget usage intensity to shopping lifestyle of students of Universitas PGRI Madiun in academic year 2019/2020. The case of study in this research were the undergraduate students from all study programs of Universitas PGRI Madiun, with a sample size of 100 respondents who were randomly selected using Simple Random Sampling technique. This research used a quantitative approach to the type of causal associative research. The data analysis technique consisted of instrument tests which included validity and reliability tests; prerequisite test which included normality test, linearity test, multicolinearity test, and heterocedasticity test; and hypothesis test which included multiple linear regression analysis, t test, and F test. The results of the data analysis show that : (1) Financial literacy partially affects shopping lifestyle of students of Universitas PGRI Madiun, because the value of tcount > ttable (10,235 > 0,67705) and the significance value is 0,000; (2) Gadget usage intensity partially affects shopping lifestyle of students of Universitas PGRI Madiun, because the value of tcount > ttable (4,086 > 0,67705) and the significance value is 0,000; (3) Financial literacy and gadget usage intensity simultaneously affect shopping lifestyle of students of Universitas PGRI Madiun, because the value of Fcount > Ftable (546,224 > 2,70) and the significance value is 0,000.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of learning by applying Edmodo's application at biodiversity class material of class 10 students in increasing student learning interest during Covid-19 period. Based on observations at SHS 3 Kerinci regency in Jambi province, Indonesia it was known that students' interest in learning biology was still low. This was due to the lack of availability of existing facilities and the learning process that is still through lectures and questions and answers. Students were less involved in exploring information about biological concepts causing low student interest in learning. The method used was Classroom Action Research. The research procedure was in the form of a cycle to know the improvement of student interest. Each cycle consists of four stages, including Planning, Acting, Observation, and Reflection. Data Collection Techniques was conducted through Questionnaire, Observation, and Documentation. This data collection used an instrument in the form of an Online Learning Interest Questionnaire and Observation Sheet conducted online. This study showed that the results of observations of student interest in online learning obtained in cycle II received criteria of very high at 96%. While the results of student interest in online learning questionnaire obtained with high criteria that was 76.74%. Based on the research done, it can be concluded that the application of Edmodo media in online learning increases student interest in biodiversity material in science class X-2 SHS 3 Kerinci regency in Jambi, Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Biology is a pure science that is analytical and systematic. It relates to the reality of the problems experienced by students in the current biology learning process, which is a monotonous way of learning and tends to make students feel bored with the learning process carried out, so that the teaching material delivered by the teacher or educator is difficult to understand by students. This class action research aims to improve student learning motivation on Biodiversity material. Methods: This class action research was conducted in two cycles; the first cycle was carried out with one meeting and the second cycle was carried out with one meeting. Each cycle is the application of Kemmis and Mc Taggart's classroom action research consisting of 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Results: The results of this study are an increase in learning motivation of students in each cycle. Conclusions: Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Motion Graphics learning media based on e-learning has succeeded in increasing students' learning motivation on Biodiversity material.
