Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of rhetorical tools in a collection of poems Masih Ingatkah Kau Jalan Pulang by Sapardi Djoko Damono and Rintik Sedu. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive-qualitative manner consisting of words, phrases, or sentences in poetry. The results of the research are in the form of rhetorical means, consisting of simile, metaphor, personification, and synecdoche display, repetition structure manipulation, parallelism, polysyndeton, asyndeton, hyperbole, rhetoric, and climax, as well as images of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and motion. The function of rhetoric means is to intensify, enliven, provide clarity of imaginary images, aesthetically, emphasize, rhetorically, generate more effective associations of meaning, make it concrete, and make it easier to imagine. The dominant use of rhetorical means, in structural manipulation, is parallelism and repetition, in images are images of motion, sight, and hearing, in a presentation are metaphors and personifications. The learning design in SMP must be student-centered, paying attention to individual differences and selecting the right learning model.

Abstract

Abstrak:Guru merupakan profesi yang membutuhkan kesabaran dan ketekunan untuk mempertahankan predikat yang berwibawa dan bermartabat. Kemerosotan wibawa guru dapat disebabkan karena status ekonominya yang rendah. Masalah dalam makalah ini adalah bagaimanakah mewujudkan guru yang profesional dan apakah upaya-upaya yang harus dilakukan oleh Lembaga Pendidikan dan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK) untuk  meningkatkan kualitas guru. Seorang guru yang profesional  harus memiliki empat kompetensi (pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, profesional) dan peran yang tangguh sebagai seorang fasilitator, motivator belajar, dan pengelola proses belajar-mengajar. Kemitraan LPTK dan sekolah perlu dibina dan dipelihara sehingga kedua belah pihak merasa bertanggung jawab atas ketimpangan pada guru atau pun mahasiswa sebagai calon guru. Upaya untuk mempertahankan citra guru harus ada kerja sama dari guru sebagai pribadi, masyarakat sebagai pengguna jasa, dan pemerintah dalam hal ini LPTK sebagai pencetak guru.Kata Kunci: Guruprofesional, Kompetensi (pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, profesional),  Lembaga Pendidikan dan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kontribusi pendidikan karakter terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada era revolusi industri 4.0. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui kajian teoretis. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan  bahwa pendidikan karakter mempunyai kontribusi yang sangat besar terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang dapat dirinci berdasarkan empat pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa  yaitu keterampilan menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Adapun nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung di dalam keempat keterampilan tersebut adalah jujur, perhatian, berani, percaya diri, disiplin, kerja keras, rasa ingn tahu, analitis, komitmen, peka, kontrol diri, teliti, beretos kerja tinggi, dinamis, produktif, ulet, gotong royong, toleransi, demokratis, tanggung jawab, bereksplorasi, antusias, aktif, kreatif, kritis, inisiatif, problem solving, produktif, cekatan,  berani mengambil risiko, visioner, perhatian, bersungguh-sungguh, berorientasi pada prestasi, rapi, tegas, luwes, hati-hati, bangga pada diri sendiri/kelompok. Era revolusi industri 4.0  memberikan tantangan dan peluang tersendiri bagi dunia pendidikan. Perubahan perilaku pada generasi milenial sekaligus perubahan-perubahan lain yang terjadi secara cepat, masif, dan berdampak besar juga turut memengaruhi perkembangan pendidikan pada masa depan. Guru sebagai aktor utama dalam dunia pendidikan harus segera berbenah dan selalu berupaya meningkatkan kompetensinya.

Abstract

This study was conducted as the follow-up action toward the result of a preliminary study which showed that Indonesian Language teachers in Senior High School (mentioned as “SMA”) YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang had not yet implemented any standardized, objective, accurate nor appropriate assessment instruments as demanded by the 2013 curriculum. Based on this problem, the research question in this study was “How are teachers’ necessities of an authentic assessment instrument to assess understanding on the short stories production and appreciation in SMA YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang?”. This study employed the research and development method adapted from the one proposed by Akker which consisted of several steps: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) evaluation, and the one by Tessmer: (1) self-evaluation, (2) expert judgment, (3) one-to-one, (4) small group, (5) revision, and (6) field test. The implementation of the authentic assessment for short stories production and appreciation was analyzed by using the inter-rater agreement. The inter-rater reliability was measured using the Cronbach’s Alfa. The data were also analyzed using the SPSS 16 program which resulted to a level of significance at 0.5. Therefore, it is found that the evaluation given by the experts and the respondents reached a similar perception. Based on the result of the Cronbach’s Alpha test, a value of 0.99 was obtained above 0.70 which implies that the authentic assessment instruments developed in this study are highly reliable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the author's social context and socio-cultural elements in the novel About You by Tere Liye. This research was a qualitative research with sociology of literature approach. This research was to describe author's social context and socio-cultural elements in the novel About You by Tere Liye. The results of the discussion in this study were obtained story fact that related to their social values namely violence, starting a business, product marketing, malaria events (January 15 disasters), friendship, and betrayal. While the social values contained in the novel About You by Tere Liye included: patience, obedience, forgiveness, helping others, caring for others, working hard, loyalty, mutual trust between friends, help between friends, and honestly. The results of this study conclude: (1) author's social context of the novel About You by Tere Liye work consists of the theme and facts of theory, and (2) socio-cultural elements of the novel About You the moral values contained in Tere Liye's novel About You are: (a) human relationships with self that include fear, death, longing and revenge, (b) human relationships with humans.

Abstract

Indonesian children's interest in reading is still relatively low. The development of students' reading interest in school cannot be separated from the role of the library as a place where students can read and learn. However, the role of the library at MTs Negeri 1 Prabumulih is not maximized. It is proven by the small daily visitor list. This study will seek to optimize the role of the library in increasing students' reading interest using qualitative descriptive research methods with observation methods. Optimization is carried out by promotion, socialization, and collaboration with Indonesian language teachers. The results showed that the reading interest of students at MTs Negeri 1 Prabumulih increased as seen from the library visitors becoming more crowded as evidenced by the visitor book list which showed an increase from 100-250 visitors to more than 300 visitors who come during breaks and there is a regular schedule of library visits for each seventh grade. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesfkripsikan fungsi tuturan ekspresif dalam debat calon presiden (CAPRES) RI 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari debat CAPRES RI 2019 pada Youtube Channel CNN Indonesia. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan metode padan intralingual. Adapun langkah-langkahnya ialah sebagai berikut: (1) Mengubah data ke bentuk teks, (2) Mengidentifikasi tuturan ekspresif yang terdapat dalam debat, (3) Mengklasifikasikan data berdasarkan fungsi tuturan ekspresif, (4) Melakukan analisis data, dan (5) Menyimpulkan hasil analisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat 81 data tuturan meliputi 6 data tuturan ucapan selamat, 32 data tuturan terima kasih, 12 data tuturan mengkritik, 3 data tuturan mengeluh, 9 data tuturan menyalahkan, 1 data tuturan, memuji, 9 data tuturan meminta maaf, dan 9 data tuturan menyindir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the students' ability to write classified ad sentences in class IXA SMP Negeri 14 OKU . Research data collection techniques using observation, tests, documentation. The research data analysis technique used observation to see the activeness of student learning and the test of understanding writing classified advertisements . Based on the analysis of research data on the improvement of writing classified ad sentences in cycles I and II, the following results were obtained. The results of the first cycle test showed that the average increase in writing classified ad sentences for students was 61.45. Average it rose to 94.45 or 53.7% in cycle II. The increase in the classical average was also followed by the increase in the scores obtained by the students in each aspect of the assessment of writing classified ad sentences . The improvement in writing student classifieds sentences in each cycle was followed by changes in the students ' behavior in a positive direction . This can be seen in the activeness and enthusiasm of students in receiving learning because students feel happy and interested in participating in learning to write classified ad sentences through . From these results, suggestions can be taken by the researcher, the researcher me recommend , among others, 1) teachers should use teaching methods that vary to attract students, and 2) The researchers or teacher education field of language Indonesia should be able to conduct similar studies yet with different methods in order to obtain various learning methods through.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan kajian tentang Mantra Jampi Rempah yang digunakan masyarakat di Desa Balunijuk Provinsi Bangka Belitung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan struktur, makna, dan nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam mantra jampi rempah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, teknik rekam, dan teknik tulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara struktural diketahui analisis struktur mantra jampi rempah tidak semua mempunyai unsur pembuka dan penutup, komponen salam pembuka mantra menggunakan kata-kata yang diadopsi dari bahasa Arab, dan unsur sugesti pada mantra jampi rempah seluruhnya mempunyai sugesti bahwa apa yang diucapkan perapal akan tercapai. Mantra Jampi Rempah dibangun dengan adanya hubungan antara Tuhan dan mahluk yang berada di bawah kekuasaannya dan memiliki kekuatan bisa menolong manusia. Mantra Jampi Rempah memiliki fungsi untuk mengobati penyakit dengan menggunakan rempah. Nilai budaya yang ada pada Mantra Jampi Rempah yaitu terdapat hubungan antara manusia dengan Tuhan, alam, masyarakat, manusia lain dan diri sendiri.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kajian psikoanalisis tokoh utama  novel “Seputih Hati yang Tercabik” karya Ratu Wardarita dengan teori Sigmund Freud sebagai pisau bedahnya untuk menganalisis kepribadian dan pertahanan tokoh utama pemeran utama dalam novel.  Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis  dengan pendekatan kualitatif.  Sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga teknik, yaitu baca, catat dan kepustakaan.  Kutipan berupa kata, frasa dan kalimat yang didapat dalam novel yang berfungsi memperkuat analisis data terkait teori Freud, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan prosedur (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa struktur kepribadian menimbulkan pergumulan antara id, ego, dan superego.   Sedangkan mekanisme pertahanan konflik menghasilkan efek represi, rasionalisasi, regresi, reaction formulation, perasaan trauma, dan intelektual. The purpose of this study is to describe the psychoanalytic study of the main character of the novel "Seputih Hati Tercabik" by Ratu Wardarita with Sigmund Freud's theory as the scalpel to analyze the personality and defense of the main character in the novel. Researchers used descriptive analytical methods with a qualitative approach. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out using three techniques, namely reading, taking notes and literature. Quotations in the form of words, phrases and sentences obtained in the novel serve to strengthen data analysis related to Freud's theory, then analyzed by procedures (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the personality structure causes a struggle between the id, ego, and superego. Meanwhile, conflict defense mechanisms produce effects of repression, rationalization, regression, reaction formulation, feelings of trauma, and intellectuality.
