Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the improvement of science process skills between students whose learning process uses a virtual laboratory-based ERP learning model compared to using discovery learning learning models at SMP Negeri 2 Magelang. This study uses a quasi-experimental method , with a nonequivalent control group design. The result of this study is that there are differences in the improvement of science process skills between classes that apply the ERP learning model ( Engange, Research, Present ) using a virtual laboratory compared to the discovery learning model . The increase in science process skills ( N-gain ) in the class that applies the ERP model using a virtual laboratory is 0.50 with a medium improvement category. The increase in science process skills ( N-gain ) in the class that applies the discovery learning model is 0.29 with a low improvement category.  Keywords : ERP Learning Model ( Engange, Research, Present ), Virtual Laboratory, Science Process Skills

Abstract

In line with 21st-Century learning, the 2013 Curriculum highlights the development of critical thinking, problem analysis, problem-solving, decision making, and creating something new. Professional teachers need to facilitate students in developing these abilities. This research describes how the teachers plan the higher-order thinking skills (HOTs). This research is qualitative research with a descriptive design. The respondents were four teachers with 0-40 years of teaching experience. The data were collected qualitatively through documentation and interviews. The results showed that HOTs were not clearly expressed in the teacher's lesson plans at teaching experience levels of 0 to 10 years and 10 years to 20 years. Teachers with 20 to 30 years of teaching experience and 30 to 40 years of experience have expressed HOTs explicitly and completely in all parts of the lesson plan. Teachers have an important role in facilitating higher-order thinking skills that can be seen through the lesson plans. The lesson plan must describe the development of higher-order thinking skills holistically. Teachers need to review each lesson plan to be coherent in every part and relevant to 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The number of studies and researchers in the science education field is constantly increasing from year to year. It makes research about article review very important because it helps researchers determine the research orientation. In this study, a research review was conducted on reading activities in science learning. There have been several studies on tracking research trends in science education in recent years, but there has not been any detailed discussion about reading activities in science learning. Therefore, it is necessary to know the development trends of research on reading activities in science learning. In this study, we analyze 74 articles published from 2000-2019 using the open-coding system. By using a search engine, it is done by entering one keyword or a combination of several keywords, include reading, a variety of ”reading and text," ”reading and science text," ”reading and textbook," ”reading, text, and science." The results showed that there were still many empty things that the researchers had not studied. The United States dominates the average researcher with a primary focus on reading comprehension. In terms of participants, research is dominated by involving students in schools (although the numbers are still small), with the variables studied are dominated by reading comprehension. This research can help researchers find gaps in research that have not been carried out related to reading activities in science learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan-permasalahan terkait NOS dan argmentasi ilmiah, dalam pembelajaran IPA serta buku teks IPA yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran. Penilitian ini merupakan penelitin survey. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu guru IPA SMP yang tergabung dalam MGMP IPA Kota Magelang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 4 tahapan yaitu 1) penyusunan indikator serta pertanyaan kuesioner dan wawancara. 2) Penyebaran kuesioner kepada guru MGMP IPA Kota Magelang, 3) wawancara dengan ketua MGMP IPA kota Magelang, 4) Analisis data. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa guru IPA di kota Magelang belum mengetahui apa itu NOS, perlu dilatihkan argumentasi ilmiah karena penyampaian argumentasi belum secara ilmiah, dimana masih terkait dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, Buku teks yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA adalah buku IPA Kurikulum 2013 yang diterbitkan oleh Kemendikbud. Tantangan dalam mengajar IPA SMP yaitu dari pendidikan guru yang hanya lulusan salah satu disiplin ilmu IPA saja sedangkan topik IPA yang masih sulit dikuasai oleh peserta didik yaitu pada disiplin ilmu fisika, seperti topik kalor, mekanika, kelistrikan dan kemagnetan, serta pada disiplin ilmu biologi, seperti pewarisan sifat.

Abstract

Gagasan dikembangkannya desain model pembelajaran inkuiri adalah untuk merancang sebuah inovasi agar dapat memudahkan siswa untuk memahami dan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada pembelajaran Fisika. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 15 siswa SMA kelas X IPA pada salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kabupaten Magelang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode pre-experiment dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes essay menggunakan rubrik penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan eksperimen sederhana dapat dilakukan dalam model pembelajaran inkuiri dan mampu meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada skema daring terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP, (2) respon siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam skema daring, dan (3) keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam skema daring. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimental design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Independent samples test dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows 25.0.0.0. Hasil analisis dengan taraf signifikasi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam skema daring terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP dengan nilai signifikasi 0,029 (2) respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam skema daring adalah Baik, dan (3) keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam skema daring adalah Sangat Baik.

Abstract

Inovasi pengembangan pembelajaran inkuiri dengan simulasi virtual untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu sekolah di kabupaten Magelang, SMA N 1 Grabag. Secara umum, tahapan pembelajaran inkuiri yang dilakukan menggunakan kegiatan simulasi virtual meliputi: (1) mengidentifikasi masalah untuk diselidiki, (2) melakukan eksperimen dengan model eksperimen inkuiri dengan simulasi virtual, (4) melakukan analisis data dengan panduan lembar kerja siswa (LKS), (5) mengkomunikasikan hasil analisis menggunakan kegiatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran fisika dengan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E dan model pembelajaran berbasis metode saintifik yang ditekankan dalam kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimental Design) dengan desain the matching-only pretest-posttest control grup design. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIPA pada salah satu SMA di Kota Tangerang. Sampel sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.  Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu instrumen tes berupa soal uraian, lembar observasi dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan proses sains pada kedua kelas. Besarnya peningkatan yang terjadi pada kelas yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 7E lebih tinggi dibanding kelas yang diajar menggunakan metode saintifik. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t (separate model t-test), didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang signifikan antara kelas yang diberi perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran  Learning Cycle 7E dengan kelas yang diberi perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran berbasis metode saintifik yang ditekankan dalam kurikulum 2013. AbstractThis study was conducted to analyze the differences in the improvement of science process skills of students who received physics learning with the Learning Cycle 7E learning model and the scientific method-based learning model that was emphasized in the 2013 curriculum. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experimental Design) with the matching- only pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all students of class X MIPA at one of the senior high school in Tangerang City. A sample of two classes were selected by purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study were test instruments in the form of description questions, observation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results showed that there was an increase in science process skills in both classes. The magnitude of the increase that occurred in the class taught using the 7E learning cycle model was higher than the class taught using the scientific method. Based on the hypothesis test using the t-test (separate model t-test), it was concluded that there was a significant difference in the improvement of students' scientific process skills between the class that was treated in the form of the Learning Cycle 7E model and the class that was treated in the form of a scientific method-based learning model  emphasized in the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

In 21st century, the learning process must be adjusted to the worth values developing in the 21st century.  One of the learning process that suitable on the 21st century learning is inquiry learning that collaborated with virtual laboratory.  The aim of this research is to evaluate inquiry-learning workshop based virtual laboratory in Magelang for preparing natural sciences teacher in 21st century. The evaluation has done by using CIPP model (context, input, process, and  product). This evaluation model was chosen because we wanted to know the effectiveness extent of the program. The result, in general shows that the program is well implemented. The goal of inquiry program has been reached. This is indicated by implementation indicator has been reached. Several indicators among them is : (1) The teacher has good skill in making learning program preparation (Rencana Program Pembelajaran/RPP); (2) The teacher is able to create student.s worksheet; (3) The teachers is well in carry out teaching practices in the classroom, which is all accordance with the principle of 21st century learning.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan keterampilan yang penting untuk dikuasai oleh siswa. Oleh sebab itu, penting untuk mengukur penguasaan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Pada proses pengukurannya, diperlukan instrumen yang valid dan reliabel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kelayakan instrumen keterampilan proses sains (KPS) topik getaran dan gelombang IPA SMP yang dilihat dari validitas isi, validitas konstruk, reabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (four D model). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) validitas isi sebesar 0,92 dengan kriteria valid, 2) validitas konstruk dengan kriteria valid, 3) reliabilitas sebesar 0,902 dengan kriteria reliabel, 4) daya pembeda dengan kriteria baik, 4) taraf keskuaran dengan kriteria sedang. Oleh sebab itu, instrument penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa.Kata Kunci: pengembangan instrumen, keterampilan proses sains, getaran dan gelombang, validitas, reliabilitas AbstractScience process skills are important skills to be mastered by students. Therefore, it is important to measure students' mastery of science process skills. In the measurement process, valid and reliable instruments are needed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of the Science Process Skills (KPS) instrument on the topic of vibration and waves of junior high school science in terms of content validity, construct validity, reliability, discriminating power and level of difficulty. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (four D model). The results showed that: 1) content validity of 0.92 with valid criteria, 2) construct validity with valid criteria, 3) reliability of 0.902 with reliable criteria, 4) distinguishing power with good criteria, 4) score level with moderate criteria. Therefore, this research instrument can be used to measure students' science process skills.Keywords: instrument development, science process skills, vibration and waves, validity, reliability
