Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of promotion and service quality on the decision to choose. The variables in this study are Promotion and Service Quality and Decision to Choose which can solve the problems experienced by PT. Pegadaian (Persero) East Palu Branch. The findings in the study show that the value felt by customers is still low, if the results of the interview are associated with the mean value obtained in the questionnaire which shows that it is still low. on the contrary, when based on the results of the t-count and the P-value, it does not mean that the results are better, in this case the PT. Pengadaian (Persero) Palu Timur Branch needs to increase its sales promotion and dimensions of service quality more intensely and touch the hearts of customers by frequently providing information about pawnshop products through social media, one of which is WhatsApp. This study uses a survey research design and is verification in nature. The data source is primary data, namely data collected through questionnaires and documentation studies related to this research. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Abstract

In the experiment reported in this paper, fresh cocoa pod husk was ensiled in a concrete silo with or without starter for 9 days in the Faculty of Animal Science, Mataram University. Three experimental treatments were tested in three replications which include fresh cocoa pod husk ensiled with 1. 5% rice bran, 0.5% fertilizer grade urea, with no starter added (T1), as for T1 but with addition of cows strained rumen fluid (T2) and as for T!, but with added commercial starter bioplus (T3). The treatment process was done in three periods of 9 days each and samples were taken three times accordingly for proximate analyses including dry matter, ash, ether extract, crude protein, crude fibre, and nitrogen free extract contents of the resulting silages. The experiment was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design and aimed at supplying direct feed requirements for a feeding trial using cattle which was lasted for 6 weeks. The result showed that no significant difference could be detected in the nutritional values among the ensiled products in term of total ash, ether extract, crude fibers, crude protein, NDF/ADF contents as well as organic matter digestibility. Dry matter digestibility of T3 was significantly higher (p<0.05) than T1, but did not significantly differ from T2. Moreover, T2 was not also significantly different from T1. Although P3 had the highest dry matter digestibility compared to the other treatments, no significant improvement in the voluntary feed intake, live body weight change and feed conversion efficiency has been observed in a feeding trial with young Bali cattle (approximately BW 200 kg) fed these three ensiled products supplemented with 1% BW of commercial concentrate feed given fresh aerial parts of corn stover.

Abstract

Masalah terletak pada belum diaplikasikannya proses las cladding untuk penyambungan pipa dilepas pantai. Tujuannya adalah mendapatkan ketahanan korosi yang lebih baik pada pipa dan menghemat biaya material. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan material baja A516 sebagai logam induk dengan cladding baja tahan karat 316L. Metode aplikasi pengelasan girth weld, meliputi: (1) membandingkan rancangan sambungan las bentuk groove V dengan groove Vm (modifikasi) dengan parameter las SMAW yang sama, (2) proses cladding dikerjakan dengan metode overlay SMAW. Berdasarkan hasil uji tarik disimpulkan bahwa kekuatan tarik sambungan girth weld bentuk groove V 3% lebih tinggi dari groove Vm (modifikasi). Hasil pengujian korosi pitting dalam larutan 6% FeCI3 22 ± 2 oC selama 72 jam menunjukkan bahwa laju korosi bentuk groove V lebih tinggi 153,6% daripada bentuk groove Vm (modifikasi). Harga pokok produksi pengelasan diperoleh sebesar Rp.279.996,-.

Abstract

Penelitian Kerusakan pada Sudu Turbin Gas Kapasitas 50 MW yang dibuat dari material Udimet 500 atau Waspalloy telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui penyebab kerusakan agar kejadian serupa tidak terulang kembali. Untuk mengetahui penyebabnya beberapa metoda yang dilakukan adalah : (1) pemeriksaan visual (2) pemeriksaan mikro menggunakan dan Scanning Electron Micsroscope (3) pengujian komposisi kimia. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penyebab kegagalan pada sudu turbin karena penurunan karakteristik material akibat terekspos pada temperatur tinggi diatas 632 oC dalam waktu yang lama sehingga material sudu terjadi penuaan, hal ini bisa dilihat dari adanya presipitasi senyawa yang sudah terbentuk disepanjang batas butir.

Abstract

            The objectives of this research were to study effects of cutting internode numbers and urea dosages, and interaction between them on pogostemon bud cutting growth. This research was done at Kajhu Village, Baitussalam Sub District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, from February 15th to April 15th 2011. Experiment was arranged according to Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design 3 x 3, with 3 replicates. Each of replications was consisted of 3 plants, resulting 81 experimental units. The first factor was cutting internode numbers, consisted of 3 levels, i.e. 2, 3 and 4 internodes. The second factor was urea dosage, also consisted of 3 levels, i.e. 1, 2 and 3 g urea/cutting. All cuttings were planted in polybags; one cutting per polybag, filled with 5 kg of soil, with one internode was inserted into the soil. The result showed that there were highly significant interactions between cutting internode numbers and urea dosages on pogostemon cutting leaves and bud numbers at 60 days after planting, which means that cuttings with different internode numbers responded differently to urea dosage increases. The best one was cutting with 4 internode numbers and the best urea dosage was 2 g/cutting.  The best combination was cutting with 2 internodes and 2 g urea/cutting.

Abstract

PENGARUH TOOL ROTATION SPEED TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK SAMBUNGAN ALUMINIUM PADUAN 6061 T6 PADA PROSES FRICTION STIR WELDING. Pengelasan aduk tekan merupakan proses pengelasan yang baru dikembangkan pada tahun 1991, hingga saat ini berbagai penelitian terus dilakukan untuk menemukan parameter yang dapat menghasilkan sambungan las yang optimum sebagai alternatif proses pengelasan fusi yang masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan putar tool yang menjadi salah satu parameter penting dalam friction stir welding pada pelat aluminium paduan 6061-T6 dengan tebal 6 mm terhadap sifat mekanik sambungan las, dengan variasi kecepatan putar yang digunakan 910 rpm, 1175 rpm, 1555 rpm, 1700 rpm dan 2000 rpm untuk mendapatkan parameter yang optimum. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa sambungan las dengan kecepatan putaran 910 rpm, 1175 rpm dan 1555 rpm tidak terdapat cacat dan memenuhi kriteria sambungan las berdasarkan standar AWS D17.3 sedangkan sambungan las yang memiliki sifat mekanik yang paling optimum yaitu sambungan las dengan kecepatan putar tool 910 rpm karena pengkasaran butir dan larutnya presipitat tidak terlalu signifikan dibandingkan dengan kecepatan putaran lainnya.Kata kunci: Pengelasan aduk tekan, pengelasan fusi, kecepatan putar, tool, aluminium paduan 6061-T6.

Abstract

Penggunaan listrik sudah mencakup keseluruhan sektor dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Agar energi listrik dapat dimanfaatkan dengan optimal maka diperlukan pemantauan serta perbaikan pada faktor daya dengan cara pengurangan daya reaktif pada jaringan listrik. Salah satu instrument yang populer digunakan untuk memantau penggunaan daya listrik adalah power meter. Power meter saat ini hanya mampu melakukan pemantauan terhadap penggunaan daya saja. Dalam hal memperbaiki faktor daya maka power meter perlu diintegrasikan dengan rangkaian perbaikan faktor daya. Rangkaian perbaikan faktor daya ini dibuat dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroller ATMEGA 328P yang sudah terintegrasi dalam development board Arduino mega. Dengan menggunakan prototipe smart power meter yang terintegrasi rangkaian perbaikan faktor daya otomatis ini dapat memantau sekaligus memperbaiki faktor daya pada jaringan single phase dengan rentang daya reaktif 1-1000VAR.

Abstract

The result of the research showed that Marindal I village fell under self-supporting village. The determinant factors of village typology indicated that Marindal I village tended to have the characteristic of urban life, viewed from the population density of 2.692 person per square kilometer. 98.59 % of the people’s livelihood at Marindal I village was non –agrarian. Education at Marindal I village made it a self-supporting village or developing village because 92,49 % of its people were SD (Elementary School)graduates. Custom at Marindal I village was no strict, were only three adat ceremonies. In village equipment and infrastructure, Marindal I village was in (3,11 %). The people’s social life at this village was not very good, and it seemed that it lacked of sense of togetherness. Netherless the deveolpment pattern of Marindal I village as the hinterland tended to be progressive

Abstract

The government faces quite big constrains in the implementation of rural development due to the aspects of Geography, Topology, Demography, infrastructure availability, poor human resources, and relatively low rural institutional capability. One of the very important attempts which needs to be carried out by Central Government and Local Government is to encourage, promote, develop and actualize the power and ability of the rural communities themselves. The power and ability sourced and found in the rural communities themselves is defined as “Community Participation”. This study  used the primary data obtained through interviewing the respondents (local community) and the secondary data obtained from the data of Subdistrict Government of Teluk Mengkudu, Statistic Coordinator of Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict, Community Empowerment and Rural Government Board of Serdang Bedagai District. The result of this study showed that, based on the result of regression equation, the coefficient value of village competition was 0.6071 with sig.t = 0.000. Since the value of sig.t was < α (0.05), Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, village competiton had a significant influence on the initiatives of the community in developing their village in Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict. Then, from the other regression equation, it was found out that the coefficient value of village competition was 0.3278 with sig.t = 0.0156. Since the value of sig.t was < α (0.05), Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, village competition had a significant influence on the active participation of the community in developing their village in Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict. The positive sign of coefficient value of village competition showed that if Village Competition is increasingly enhanced, that intiative of the community in developing their village in Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict is also increasingly increased or both variables had unidirectional relationship. The conclusion drawn from the result of this study is that Village Competition is one of the activities done by both Central Government and Local Government in theirn attempt to educate their people to increase their initiatives and active participation to develop their villages.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out the optimum salinity of media to control Dactylogyrus sp. in catfish. This research was conducted at Marine Biology Laboratory, Marine and Fisheries Faculty on January 2016. This research used non factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications I.e (A) 0 ppt, (B) ppt, (C) 8 ppt, (D) 9 ppt and  (E) 10 ppt. The observed parameters were the prevalence and intensity of Dactylogyrus sp. the survival rate of catfish and the water quality of media. The result of this study indicated that the salinity significantly affects the prevalence and intesity of Dactylogyrus, but did not affect the survival rate of catfish. The lower  prevalence  and intesity of Dactylogyrus sp. was obtained  at the treatment of 10 ppt with value 37,50% and 1,00 ind/fish.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui salinitas optimal yang dapat mengendali Dactylogyrus sp. pada ikan patin. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi Laut, Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan, Universitas Syiah Kuala pada Bulan Januari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) non faktorial yang terdiri 5 perlakuan salinitas dan 4 ulangan yaitu (A) 0 ppt, (B) 7  ppt, (C) 8 ppt, (D) 9 ppt, dan (E) 10 ppt. Parameter yang diukur yaitu prevalensi, intensitas Dactylogyrus sp. tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan patin, serta parameter fisika kimia - kualitas air. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa salinitas berpengaruh nyata terhadap prevalensi dan intensitas Dactylogyrus sp., namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan patin. Tingkat intensitas dan prevalensi Dactylogyrus sp. terendah terdapat pada perlakuan 10 ppt dengan nilai 37,50% dan 1,00 ind/ekor.
