Abstract

It is well documented that productivity of workers is influenced by both internal and external factors. The objective of this study was to provide insights into motivation, job satisfaction and job productivity of Animal Husbandry Field Extension Workers (FEW). The analysis was carried out using the Spearman rank correlation. The respondents of the study were 36 FEW, in Sukabumi district, West Java. The results of the study showed that most of FEW were male, married, relatively old, and had more than three children. Most of them had a diploma certificate, had been participating in several trainings, had 20 years of working experience, and belong to third rank employee. It was found that all internal factors of FEW (achievement, recognition, job, and responsibility) had a positive correlation with job productivity. On the contrary, there were only two external factors, employment status and personal communication, which had a positive correlation with job productivity of FEW. Other external factors, including administration and policy, supervision, salary and reward, and working condition factors, were negatively correlated with job productivity of FEW. Finally, the findings also reveal evidence that three out of four job satisfactions (psychology, social, and physical condition) were positively correlated with work productivity of FEW whereas financial aspect was not. Abstract

Perempuan tani di Kabupaten Lombok Timur berperan intensif dalam produksi, pengolahan, penyiapan dan pendistribusian pangan keluarga, namun kualitas konsumsi pangan rumah tangga masih rendah. Rata-rata asupan energi hariannya di bawah skor nasional. Kondisi ini dikarenakan kemampuan perempuan tani sebagai pelaku penting belum memadai untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan rumah tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis faktor yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan perempuan tani, dan menganalisis kemampuan perempuan tani mewujudkan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian survei dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 300 rumah tangga yang tersebar di Kecamatan Terara danAikmel Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara terstruktur dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara mendalam, pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pribadi perempuan tani kuat dalam hal kematangan dan motivasi, namun lemah dalam pendidikan formal dan non formal.Perempuan tani dominan dalam pengambilan keputusan rumah tangga tetapi rendah pendapatannya. Perempuan tani tidak mendapatkan dukungan sosial budaya, dan terbatasnya akses terhadap sumber daya produktif. Secara umum, dukungan penyuluhan terhadap perempuan tani dalam mewujudkan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga juga lemah. Tingkat kemampuan perempuan tani secara teknis lebih baik daripada secara manajerial dan sosial rendah. Kemampuan perempuan tani dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan rumah tangga berhubungan positif dan nyata dengan pendidikan non formal, motivasi, tanggungan keluarga, luas lahan, keputusan, akses sumberdaya dan penyuluhan. Untuk itu, diperlukan penyuluhan ketahanan pangan yang intensif dan spesifik bagi perempuan tani.Katakunci: perempuan tani, kemampuan, extension, ketahanan pangan rumah tangga

Abstract

Currently, the mining sector is still one of the main sectors driving the economy of Indonesia and is in demand by both indigenous and foreign investors. Asphalt mixing plant business unit (AMP BU) is currently the main priority scale of PT Prayoga. The AMP UB excellent performance of PT Prayoga enable itself to be able to contribute to the company's revenue and accelerate development of infrastructure in Bogor. The objectives of the research were to identify key performance indicator (KPI) that is applied in the financial and non-financial perspectives as well as to evaluate the performance of UB AMP of PT Prayoga in terms of financial and non-financial aspects based on the vision, mission and strategy of the company. The method used in this research was the balanced scorecard as a management tool to maintain a balance between the financial (financial perspective) and non-financial (customer perspective, business processes, learning and growth) indicators. The results showed that the KPI applied in the evaluation of the performance of AMP BU of PT Prayoga consists of 19 indicators including 5 KPI of financial perspective, 5 KPI of customer perspective, 5 KPI of business process perspective, and 4 KPI of learning and growth perspective. The assessment results indicate this business unit obtained the performance index of 78.42% included in the criterion of very good or excellent, thus it has shown its best performance according to the vision, mission and strategy of the company.Keywords: balanced scorecard, performance assessment, performance index, KPI, mining

Abstract

Harding and Hills’s standpoint theory said that human perspectives are shaped by their social and political experiences. Gender is a social construction that acquired through interaction and changes over times. Based on that theory, this study used to analyze are the rapid increased of woman labour, gender equitymovement in economic development, may affect the the traditional view about how women and men should act and communicate, and established the new meaning of masculinity and feminity in workplace area. The conclusion showed that gender inequity still exist toward women. Women’s job position and the level of gender communication based on dimensional stereotype, discrimination, subordination, and sexual harassment are worse than men, but yet women showed no complains and reported the same level of job satisfaction compared men.Keywords: gender, communication, job satisfaction

Abstract

This research explains that family communications pattern, function of socialization, form of communication happened in family who live in setlement and family who live in countrified. Method which in using in this research is descriptive survey method and data in analysis applies Chi square (X²) statistical with program SPSS version 1600. Result of research indicates that family who live in setlement and family who live in more countrified tends to mengunakan family communications pattern Laissez-faire which in combination with family communications pattern pluralistik, pattern pluralistik in combination with pattern konsensual. Function of socialization at family who live in setlement is more usingly is active socialization and family who live in countrified more usingly is passive socialization. Form of communication verbal is more in using in countrified while family who live in setlement is more usingly is form of communication verbal and nonverbal.
