Abstract

Transportation may cause stress that affects livestock’s health. This research was conducted to observe the effect of transportation on the profiles of blood cortisol, triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4) and neutrophil/lymphocyte (N/L) ratio as stress indicators during 15 days post-transportation. Four females swamp buffaloes, 2-yr-old were used in this research. The animals were transported using an open truck, along 15 kilometers distance for 2 h. During acclimatization, the animals were fed grass twice a day and access to water ad libitum. Blood was collected at the time of arrival and everyday for 15 d post-transportation. Cortisol, T3 and T4were analyzed using Radioimmunoassay (RIA) method. Blood smears were also prepared and stained with Giemsa for leukocyte differential counts. Results showed a significant relation (P<0.05) between transport and an increase in cortisol and T4 level on day-1 post-transportation compared to the normal levels. The level of T3 was also increased on day-3 post-transportation. Total leukocyte counts were 8.91-18.83×10³/μL. Neutrophil, eosinophil, monocyte, and lymphocyte counts were 4.87-10.41×10³/μL, 0.66-1.75×10³/μL, 0.11-0.58×10³/μL, and 2.98-6.21×10³/μL, respectively. N/L ratio was 1.23-3.49 with >1.5 in average throughout the period of the research. It is concluded that transportation causes stress and therefore changes metabolic process.

Abstract

This research was conducted to study hematological condition (total erythrocyte, concentration of haemoglobin, and packed cell valome value) sheep during transportation with combination of multivitamin-meniran. Twelve Priangan sheep were divided of into 3 groups i.e, sheep with transportation stress (control), transportation stress and multivitamin (Treatment B). The sheep were given stress transportation for 12 hours within 250 km around Bogor district. Blood samples were taken at 0 hour (pre transportation), 4h, 8h, 12h (during transportation) and 24h, 48h, 72h (post transportation) to observe total erythrocyte, concentration of haemoglobin increased and researched the peak at 8 hours although the range is still in normal condition. Packed cell volume of sheep under stress did not change. It was concluded that the combination of multivitamin-meniran was effective in maintaining haematological condition during sheep transportation.

Abstract

CRD is chronic respiratory disease in chicken caused by infection of Mycoplasma gallisepticum (M gallisepticum) and E. coli. Rio-prospective of jahe for controlling the disease was investigated through the study of antibacterial activity against M. gallisepticum of fresh ginger juice extract and fraction of hexan, ethyl acetate, methanol and water against M. gallisepticum and E. coli. The results showed that the juice of fresh ginger inhibited the growth of M. gallisepticum with the minimum inhibitory concentration that could inhibit the growth was 10 °/o. The fractions that effectively inhibited the growth of M. gal/isepticum are hexan fraction and water fraction with the smallest inhibition zone was found at concentration of at least 8 % and 10 % respectivelly.TLC examination results of hexan fraction showed a purple spot with Rf value of 0.9 and a dark blue spot with Rf value of 0.36. Based on Rf values and color reference, the first spot was suggested zingiberen and the second spot was gingerol. All fractions that were examined, did not show any inhibitory activity against thegrowth of E coli. Thus the extract of fresh ginger was only to be used to control the respiratory disease causedby M. gallisepticum but not coli.

Abstract

Adanya sarana dan prasarana merupakan penunjang kegiatan administrasi dan pembelajaran di sebuah lembaga pendidikan. Sarana dan prasarana sangat penting untuk menunjang proses kegiatan belajar mengajar serta meningkatkan rating sebuah lembaga pendidikan. SDN Bicorong 1 merupakan salah satu SD yang memiliki aset berupa aset bangunan, tanah dan juga benda-benda seperti peralatan untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar. Manajemen penataan aset pada SDN Bicorong 1 masih konvensional sehingga data-data aset tersebut rentan rusak bahkan hilang. Adanya kekeliruan dalam proses pencatatan serta pengelolaan aset akan mengakibatkan meningkatnya biaya operasional pengadaan aset. Oleh sebab itu Sistem Informasi Manajemen Aset Sekolah dibangun untuk mengelola dan menyimpan data-data aset sekolah. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah user dapat melakukan pencatatan penerimaan materiil, pencatatan pengolaan  materiil serta melaporkan seluruh data aset maupun penyusutan aset bergerak yang ada.
