Abstract

Life insurance ownership has been known as one of alternatives to mitigate the financial risk of a household. Several ethnicities in Indonesia are exposed to financial risk in terms of premature death of family members because there exists cultural traits expenditures. This paper examines the decision to own life insurance among Bataknese in Medan. The determinants of life insurance ownership observed in this study include socioeconomic and demographic factors. Data was analysed using Logit regression of 185 questionnaires after adjustments from 200 responses. The results show that the Batak ethnic in Medan owned personal life insurance because it was driven by the number of credit card limits, age, number of social gathering clan, education, residence ownership status, and bequest motives. Meanwhile, Saur matua life insurance (cultural traits) ownership is driven by factors in the order of the first child in the family, the number of brothers, life expectancy, and the condition of receiving inheritance from parents. Bataknese own life insurance affected by socioeconomic and demographic factors. This research can provide opportunities for the life insurance industry if it wants to add new features of life insurance products that are specific to ethnic groups with similar cultural heritage patterns. Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of willingness to achieve lecturers' goals, needs and objectives and interpersonal relationships on the performance of millennial lecturers. The population is lecturers in a state university in Indonesia. The data analysis techniques used are multiple linear analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the willingness to achieve lecturers' goals, needs and objectives and interpersonal relationships had a positive and significant influence partially and simultaneously on the performance of millennial lecturers. This research is expected to be used as input for the university to pay attention and fulfil and fully support the needs of millennial lecturers to improve the performance of lecturers.

Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze the effect of control, ownership, reach, and endurance as a variable dimension of adversity quotient to the business success in Medan Denai. This type of research explanatory associative research. Based on the results of data processing with multiple linear regression analysis methods, the results of this study indicate that the influence of adversity quotient variables consisting of dimension control, ownership, reach, & endurance simultaneously positive and significant effect on the business success. Partially dimensional control and endurance positive and significant effect to the business success, meanwhile the ownership dimension and reach partially positive but not significant effect to the business success

Abstract

The agricultural sector is an important sector for economic development. In accordance with the Nawa Cita, the government prioritizes the direction of development in the agricultural sector to support the realization of food sovereignty so that Indonesia as a nation can regulate and meet the food needs of its people sovereignly. Humbang Hasundutan Regency, where most of the population lives from the agricultural sector, is one of the target areas for the development of agricultural areas in Indonesia and is one of the locations for the Food Estate area which is one of the strategic programs for national agricultural development in 2021. Farmer corporation development is a priority so that farmers control production. and agricultural business from upstream to downstream. The assistance process in the context of community empowerment must be carried out in farmer corporations. Farmers must be able to create added value agricultural products. The greater added value of agricultural products can certainly play a role in increasing economic growth. Great economic growth, of course, has an impact on increasing business fields and people's incomes, which in the end is improving people's welfare.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effect of the transformation of organizational cultural values on the performance of millennial lecturers. The data analysis techniques used are multiple linear analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The determination of the sample was done by slovin margins of error method of error amounting to 10% of the total number of permanent lecturers of civil servants / non civil servants as many as 249 people and produced a sample of 71 people. Cultural transformation is measured by the dimensions of vision and mission; External environment; Willingness to achieve goals; Organizational image; Lecturer's needs and objectives; Interpersonal relationships; and Leadership. The results showed that the transformation of organizational cultural values at the University of North Sumatra had a positive influence on the performance of millennial lecturers. These results show that the better implementation of the transformation of the cultural values of the University of North Sumatra will lead to improved performance of millennial lecturers. This research is expected to be used as input for the University to be able to pay attention and fulfill and fully support the needs of millennial lecturers of the University of North Sumatra to improve the performance of lecturers.
