Abstract

This paper describe results of the experiment of resistance from four different types of fishing boat hull in Indonesia such as U-bottom, round bottom, round flat bottom and akatsuki. The objectives of the research are to estimate the value of the resistance from different type of fishing boat hull, and (2) to estimate the type of hull which is the highest and lowest resistance.The research was carried out in the flume tank by using the model of fishing boat hull with scale 1 : 40.The four different types of hull were investigate in the water flow. The data of resistance were taken when the fishing boat in stable condition, heaving, pitching and moving to the right and left. The 10 data were taken from each different types of hull.The results of the experiment shows that the akatsuki type is the highest resistance, followed by U-bottom, round flat bottom and round bottom. The percentage of resistance from each type of hull shows that the akatsuki 0,19% higher than U-bottom. While the resistance of U-bottom 8,05% higher than round flat bottom, and the resistance round flat bottom 3,23% higher than round bottom.

Abstract

Research on design considerations and estimation of forces of fish aggregating device was carried out in Pandeglang water’s Banten Province.  The main construction of fish aggregating de-vice consists of pontoon, wire, main line, attractor (coconut leaf), and sinker (main, bet-ween,attractant).  Total buoyancy force is estimated 2.743.896,59 gs, and total sinking force is 1.006.888,74 gs thefore the extra buoyancy force is 63.30%.  The buoyancy and sinking forces are smaller than breaking strength main line (6.500.000 gs), the main line still resistance in maximum condition of buoyancy and sinking force.Key word: buoyancy force, fish aggregating device, sinking force

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know dimension size of some construction parts of fishing boat in Muara Angke Fishing Landing Port (PPI Muara Angke, North Jakarta) and to know its compliment to the rule of Indonesian Classification Beareau (BKI).  The method of case study and simple statistic are applied in this research.  The result shows that from 17 (seventeen) samples of fishing boat mostly do not comply with the BKI rules.  Boat builder mostly used their own method that has given from previous generation to build a boat compare to using BKI rules as standard.Key words: compliment, dimension size, fishing boat construction

Abstract

This research discusses on the development analysis of fishing fleet in Kupang Regency, Nusa Tenggara Timur. The objective of the research is to develop a conceptual model in developing fishing fleet based on CCRF.The data from representatives sources have been collected through a survey methods by using questionnaires. In order to achieve the research objective, some methods such as SWOT, LGP, AHP and scoring on CCRF have been used to analyze the data.The result show that based on the analysis and combining with certain scenarios that used in the research, fishing unit that prostective to be developed gradually are hand line (pancing ulur), trap (bubu) and long line (rawai), meanwhile purse seine can be developed within maximum number of fleet

Abstract

Setelah tragedi tsunami, Provinsi Aceh kehilangan banyak aset mulai dari infrastruktur, armada, dan jiwa manusia. Kondisi ini harus dibangun kembali normal. Untuk membangun kembali data dari armada  penangkapan ikan perlu mendaftar ulang untuk menghindari praktek IUU Fishing dan praktek penurunan harga dan juga biaya tinggi ternak. Masalah umum dalam pendaftaran kapal perikanan adalah konflik kepentingan antara incharges lembaga seperti Departemen Perhubungan dan Departemen Perikanan dan Kelautan Affair, karena kapal penangkap ikan pendaftaran di Indonesia dijalankan oleh institusi keduanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui masalah lain pada  pendaftaran kapal perikanan di Provinsi Aceh. Kapal perikanan sistem pendaftaran dihadapkan dengan banyak rumit dan kompleks, sehingga solusi melalui pendekatan analisis sistem (Burch, 1992). Dalammenerapkan sistem analisis langkah-langkah yang perlu dipertimbangkan adalah: (1) menganalisis kebutuhan, (2) merumuskan masalah, (3) mengidentifikasi sistem, dengan membuat lingkaran diagram sebab akibat (causal loop) dan input-output diagram. Kesimpulan dari analisis sistem yang dilakukan adalah bahwa sistem pendaftaran saat ini belum terintegrasi, data itu tidak akurat karena pemahaman tentang metode pengukuran yang berbeda, proses dokumen informasi penyelesaian tidak dapat ditelusuri, pelaksanaan peraturan yang belum transparan baik dalam administrasi dan keuangan.Kata kunci: registrasi kapal ikan, pendekatan sistem

Abstract

Perikanan tangkap di Selat Alas, Nusa Tegggara Barat menyumbang peranan penting tidak hanya untuk nelayan, tetapi juga untuk masyarakat setempat. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa sumber daya ikan di daerah ini membutuhkan pengelolaan yang tepatdengan segera. Namun, informasi ilmiah sebagai pilihan pengelolaan komoditas di daerah ini sangat miskin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi prioritas yang dipilih dari sumber daya ikan, menilai saham dan mendefinisikan status eksploitasi prioritas yang dipilihdari sumber daya ikan yang ditangkap di Selat Alas. Metode scoring diterapkan untuk memilih sumber daya ikan, sementara surplus model produksi yang digunakan untuk menilai ukuran saham. Ada lima spesies ikan yang diidentifikasi sebagai prioritas pilihan yaitu cumi, sarden,ikan kakap merah, ikan teri, dan ikan haring. Dari lima ikan yang dipilih, hasil tertinggi maksimum lestari (MSY) masing-masing adalah ikan teri (7,915.76 ton/tahun) diikuti oleh kakap merah (2,00.01 ton/tahun), sarden (1,282.21 ton/tahun), herring (867,49 ton/tahun), dancumi-cumi (638,40 ton/tahun). Status eksploitasi komoditas terpilih tersebut diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kategori yaitu lebih MSY (cumi), lebih dari total tangkapan yang diperbolehkan (TAC), tetapi lebih rendah dari MSY (sarden dan herring) dan lebih rendah dari TAC (ikan teridan ikan kakap merah).  Berdasarkan status eksploitasi mereka, cumi, sarden, dan ikan haring adalah tiga dari lima prioritas ikan yang dipilih di Selat Alas yang benar-benar segera membutuhkan manajemen yang serius dan tepat. Abstract

The research is aimed to reveal opportunity development of the capture fisheries in Talaud Islands Regency by using bionomy approach with Gordon-Schaefer model (Fauzy, 2005) con-cerning the dominant of illegal fishing activities around the area. The research was started by co-llected some secondary data on fish production and number of fishing units. Primary data were collected on catch composition and types of fishing gear. Gordon-Schaefer methods was applied to evaluate the tuna and skipjack resources in the area. The troll and pole and line are indicated as the dominant fishing gears used to catch the skipjack and tuna. In case of open access condition, the production will end up to 25,09 tons, while the resource rent will be end up to zero. For the development, simulations were exercised in 3 scenarios: 1) scenario of enhancing domestic fleet, 2) scenario of illegal fishing, and 3) scenario of net surplus. With those scenarios, if the illegal fishing could be eliminated, the capture fisheries in this regency could render economic value to 10 billion rupiah.

Abstract

Kapoposang area is located in Pangkep Regency consist of six small islands and consist of high marine and fisheries resources, especially the white sandy beaches and coral reefs within its ecosystem. This is an important factor for further development of marine tourism based on conser-vation. Identification of marine tourism resources is the first step in development planning process. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and survei method was applied in this research. The result show that this area is a potential area to be developed as marine tourism area based on conservation consideration.

Abstract

of cargo arrangement so can they impact to quality stability of fishing vessel. The aim of this research is design and stability analysis Bulukumba purseseiner with three conditions cargo arrangement and two fishing seasons (peak fishing season and scarcity fisihing season). This research is done at Bulukumba regency, South Sulawesi province in February until April 2013 with measurements, observation and interview related of main dimension and cargo arrangement of Bulukumba purseseiner in field. Hydrostatic paramter analysis uses naval architecture formula and stability analysis uses PGZ software of three cargo arrangement conditions on two fishing seasons and then, these values will be compared with references value. The results of design analysis show that coefficient of finennes bulukumba purseseiner is Cb = 0.80 and Cp = 0.88 which its hull type bulukumba purseseiner is round bottom. Principal dimension ratio Bulukumba purseseiner have agreed with references of fishing vessel in Indonesia but it have not filled references of fishing vessel in Japan. The values of Bulukumba purseseiner stability have filled to IMO criteria of stability values. Stability of Bulukumba purseseiner on scarcity fishing season better than on peak fishing season and the best value of stability is PA-K3 condition (condition of purseseiner back to fishing base on scarcity fishing season).Key words: Bulukumba, cargo arrangement, design, purseseiner, stability-------ABSTRAKKabupaten Bulukumba merupakan salah satu daerah pembuatan kapal kayu dan masih besifat tradisional. Musim penangkapan ikan dapat mempengaruhi distribusi muatan di atas kapal sehingga dapat berakibat pada kualitas stabilitas kapal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis desain dan stabilitas kapal purse seine Bulukumba berdasarkan tata muatan dengan tiga kondisi muatan dalam dua variasi musim penangkapan (musim puncak dan musim paceklik). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bulukumba Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan pada bulan Februari–April 2013 dengan melakukan pengukuran, pengamatan dan wawancara secara langsung di lapangan terkait dimensi utama dan distribusi muatan. Analisis parameter hidrostatis dilakukan menggunakan formula naval architecture sedangkan analisis stabilitas menggunakan software PGZ yang selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan nilai acuan. Hasil analisis desain menunjukkan, kapal purse seine Bulukumba memiliki nilai koefisien bentuk yaitu Cb = 0,80 dan Cp = 0,88 dengan kasko kapal berbentuk round bottom. Rasio dimensi utama kapal purse seine Bulukumba telah berada pada rentang nilai kapal purse seine di Indonesia namun belum berada pada rentang nilai kapal purse seine di jepang. Nilai stabilitas kapal purse seine Bulukumba telah memenuhi nilai kriteria stabilitas IMO. Stabilitas kapal purse seine Bulukumba pada musim paceklik lebih baik dibandingkan pada musim puncak dengan nilai stabilitas terbaik pada kondisi PA-K3 (kondisi kapal kembali ke fishing base pada musim paceklik).Kata kunci: Bulukumba, tata muatan, desain, kapal purse seine, stabilitas

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was to analyze the technical effect of LPG compared to the gasoline bymeasuring the engine and exhaust temperature, to calculate the fuel saving (efficiency) for a singletrip by measuring the specific fuel consumption, and to explicate the cost benefit from the use ofLPG compared to the gasoline for fishing operation. During the experimental test, the engine speedwas maintained at idling conditions of 1600, 2000, and 2500rev/min. Technically, the engine andexhaust temperature decrease when running on LPG. The use of LPG as an alternative fuel togasoline can save on fuel consumption up to 26,35% and LPG makes operational cost moreefficiently due to the lower value of FC than that of gasoline. For a single trip, the cost from LPGspecific fuel consumption (sfc) value resulted Rp 5.610 while the gasoline resulted higher valuewhich makes Rp 9.632. With the difference of Rp 4.022, LPG can save cost as much as 41,76%where cost savings in fuel expenditure can be used to reimburse the purchasing cost of converterkit for 41,5 months or 3,46 years.Key words: efficiency, fuel consumption, Liquefied Peltroleum Gas (LPG), temperature-------ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan secara teknis pengaruh penggunaan LPGdibandingkan bensin premium pada motor bensin 6,5 HP, menghitung penghematan (efisiensi)yang dapat dicapai dari penggunaan LPG dibandingkan bensin premium dalam satu kali operasipenangkapan ikan dan menghitung keuntungan dari penggunaan LPG secara biaya dibandingkandengan bensin premium untuk kegiatan operasional penangkapan ikan. Selama uji coba motordioperasikan menggunakan bahan bakar bensin dan LPG secara bergantian dengan putaran 1600,2000 dan 2500 rpm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LPG secara teknis dapatmereduksi suhu permukaan mesin, suhu gas buang dan konsumsi bahan bakar dibandingkanmotor yang dioperasikan menggunakan bensin premium. Selain itu rata-rata konsumsi bahanbakar menjadi lebih hemat sebanyak 26,35% sehingga biaya operasional menjadi lebih efisien.Dalam satu kali operasi penangkapan ikan didapat nilai spesific fuel consumption (sfc) LPGsebesar Rp. 5.610 sedangkan nilai sfc bensin adalah sebesar Rp. 9.632. Dengan selisih sebanyakRp. 4.022 maka LPG bisa menghemat biaya sebanyak 41,76% dimana penghematan biayabelanja bahan bakar dapat digunakan untuk mengembalikan biaya pembelian converter kit selama41,5 bulan atau 3,46 tahun.Kata kunci: efisiensi, konsumsi bahan bakar, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), suhu
