Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching gives a positive effect on the creative character of students, to know the response of the students against the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching, and to find out if the student response against the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching correlates positively with the creative character of students in learning mathematics. The research method used that is quantitative. The instruments used, namely the now student response related application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching, and sheets of observation about the creativity of students in learning mathematics after implementing this method. The correlation analysis with the results of the study showed that the value of the larger significance of the alpha values (5%) which means accepting and rejecting H0 Ha which means student response against the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching not correlated positively with the creative character of students in learning mathematics. The average student response score against this method is found on very good i.e. amounted to 85%. As for the observations of the creative character of the students, after this method is applied, the average score of 68% is found quite creative

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between student perception towards mathematics teacher with mathematics academic performace. The population of the study were all students of class VIII SMPN 8 Cirebon in the academic year 2014/2015, with the number of students 287 people. The sampling technique used proportional random sampling, and the sample size was 56 students. Data collection techniques used: 1) Questionnaire of Perceptions towards Mathematics teacher, and 2) The results of student mathematics learning test. The result of correlation analysis show no significant correlation between students perception towards teacher and academic performance (r= .155, p= .254).

Abstract

Kepribadian merupakan sifat hakiki individu yang tercermin pada sikap peserta didik. Keunikan tersebut tergantung pada tipe kepribadian yang dimiliki.Tipe kepribadian tersebut mempengaruhi sikap dalam menyesuaikan diri dan bersosialisasi dengan lingkungan, termasuk dalam proses pembelajaran. Sikap belajar adalah kecenderungan perilaku saat mempelajari yang bersifat akademik dan merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar. Sikap terkadang didasari oleh emosi dan dorongan dari dalam diri, dengan dorongan yang baik maka akan menghasikan sikap belajar yang baik pula dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan sikap belajar matematika siswa berdasarkan tipe kepribadian di SMA Islam Al-Azhar 5 Cirebon. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yakni kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Islam Al-Azhar 5 Cirebon, sedangkan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas X berjumlah 98 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah probability sampling dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan sikap belajar matematika berdasarkan tipe kepribadian yang signifikan, hal ini dapat dilihat dari F­hitung hasil uji one way anova yang dilakukan lebih kecil dari Ftabel yaitu 0.616 dimana Ftabel­ nya adalah 2,7 maka H0 diterima artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sikap belajar berdasarkan tipe kepribadian siswa.Kata kunci: Tipe Kepribadian, Sikap Belajar Matematika

Abstract

Lahan pertanian Indonesia yang terdegradasi mengakibatkan menurunnya produktivitas sayuran. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu penggunaan pupuk anorganik tanpa pengembalian sisa tanaman dan bahan organik ke dalam tanah. Perlunya usaha dan strategi yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan kualitas lahan, serta mempertahankan kesuburan dan kesehatan tanah dengan pemanfaatan pupuk hayati. Pupuk biologi adalah produk biologi yang aktif memproduksi berdasarkan mikroba-mikroba yang dapat meningkatkan keefisienan pemupukan, kesuburan dan kesehatan tanah. Pemanfaatan dari pupuk hayati diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan tanaman yang lebih sehat, bebas dari hama dan penyakit, produksi yang tinggi, ramah lingkungan, berkelanjutan dan dapat mereduksi pupuk anorganik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk hayati pada pertumbuhan dan hasil caisin di lapangan yang dilakukan di Leuwikopo, Darmaga, Bogor Indonesia pada Februari hingga April 2011. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak dengan 7 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang dimkasud yaitu tanpa pupuk hayati dan NPK (P0), 1 dosis NPK (P1), Biofertilizer + 1 dosis NPK (P2), biofertilizer + 0.75 dosis NPK (P3), biofertilizer + 0.5 dosis NPK (P4), biofertilizer + 0.25 dosis NPK (P5) dan biofertilizer (P6). Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan pupuk hayati tidak dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman caisin yang diukur seperti tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan panjang akar. Kombinasi pupuk hayati dengan 0.5 hingga 1 dosis NPK mampu memproduksi berat basah tajuk tanaman dan tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan NPK saja. Dengan demikian, penggunaan pupuk hayati dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk anorganik urea, SP-36 dan KCL sebesar 50%.

Abstract

An experiment consists of two separated trial sets had been carried out at Probolinggo, East Java to study of manual thinning on berry cluster of "BS-6" grape by berry removal and cluster tipping. Berry thinning severities that were investigated consists of berry-removing and cluster tipping, each applied control, 20%, 40% and 60% thinning treatments at 7 or 14 days after anthesis. Berry removal did not influence to berry density but increased large-berry proportion and juice quality; since cluster tipping increased berry density, berry size and berry uniformity. Manual thinning at 7 days after anthesis gave better effect than at 14 days after anthesis

Abstract

ABSTRACTAn experiment was conducted to study the germination and storability of papaya pollen IPB 6 and  IPB  9  stored for 4 weeks at 3  levels  of  low temperature. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Microtechnic and Laboratory of Biophysics  and  Reproductive Biology, Bogor Agricultural University in the month of April to June 2014. Three  variables  were observed in this experiment:  the germination rate, pollen diameter, and length of pollen. The experimental results showed that storage temperature affected the three variables observed. The best germination for IPB 6 was indicated by pollen storage at 10 0C (23.1%) while for IPB 9 was indicated by pollen stored at 5 0C (30.7%). The longest pollen tube  of  IPB 6  after storage  for 4 weeks  was indicated by pollen stored at -20 0C  (63 µm) while for IPB 9, indicated by pollen stored at 10 0C (47.72 µm). The experimental results showed that there was  no corellation between pollen diameter and length of pollen tube with pollen germination in papaya pollen of IPB 6 dan IPB 9.Key words: diameter pollen, pollen tube, germination, storability ABSTRAKPercobaan  dilakukan untuk  mempelajari daya simpan dan daya berkecambah  polen  pepaya IPB 6 dan IPB 9 yang disimpan pada suhu 5 0C, 10 0C, dan -20 0C dengan waktu penyimpanan 0-4 minggu.  Percobaan  dilaksanakan  di Laboratorium Mikroteknik dan Laboratorium Biofisik dan Biologi Reproduksi, Institut Pertanian Bogor pada bulan April-Juni 2014. Tiga variabel yang diamati pada percobaan ini adalah daya berkecambah, diameter polen dan panjang polen. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan  bahwa  suhu  penyimpanan mempengaruhi  ketiga  variabel yang  diamati. Daya berkecambah terbaik untuk pepaya IPB 6 ditunjukkan oleh polen yang disimpan pada 10 0C (23.1%)sedangkan  untuk  IPB 9 ditunjukkan oleh  polen  yang  disimpan pada 5 0C  (30.7%).  Tabung Polen pepaya  terpanjang  setelah  disimpan  selama  4 minggu  pada  IPB 6 ditunjukkan  oleh  polen  yang disimpan pada -20 0C (63 µm)  sedangkan untuk IPB 9 ditunjukkan oleh polen yang disimpan pada 10 0C (47.72 µm). Hasil  percobaan  menunjukkan  bahwa  tidak  ada  hubungan antara  diameter  dan panjang tabung polen dengan daya berkecambah pada polen pepaya IPB 9 dan IPB 6.Kata kunci: daya berkecambah, daya simpan, diameter polen, tabung polen

Abstract

This study aims to produce educational materials based on the socio-cultural context of the city of Cirebon, which has a good and decent quality. The teaching materials can be used in the mathematical understanding of the students in MTs Riyadlul Ulum Bendungan. The type of learning material that is developed is a printed math module printed for class 7. The research method used is Research and Development which refers to the ADDIE development model. Where the development phases are: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, 5) Evaluation. The data collection techniques used in the research include; Sheets, questionnaires and Judge Expert tests. While qualitative and quantitative analyzes are used for data analysis. From the research results, the development of educational materials based on the socio-cultural context of the city of Cirebon in the understanding of mathematics students including a good category to be used in the process of learning mathematics. This, in line with the results of the students' answers to the teaching material, has developed quite well. In the results of limited tests and in-depth tests, the cutting of teaching materials takes up three aspects of evaluation (assessment of appearance, presentation of material and benefits). Thus also the results of the validation of the team of materials and media experts, that the developed teaching materials include categories worthy of being used in learning activities. then the teaching material, as a complement to teachers in teaching and can help students understand mathematics by promoting the local Cirebon of the wisdom of the city

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki berbagai jenis pisang tanduk dengan karakteristik yang berbeda. Informasi mengenai perbedaan karakteristik dan daya simpan beberapa jenis pisang tanduk masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakteristik dan daya simpan empat aksesi pisang tanduk. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pascapanen, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Darmaga, Bogor, Jawa Barat pada bulan Maret 2017 hingga Juni 2017. Bahan utama yang digunakan yaitu 4 aksesi pisang tanduk yang berada di Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu aksesi. Faktor aksesi terdiri atas 4 aksesi dan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aksesi memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap semua karakter yang diamati (bobot buah, panjang buah, diameter buah, ketebalan kulit, bobot daging, bobot kulit, kelunakan, BDD, PTT dan ATT) kecuali rasio antara PTT/ATT. Aksesi 1 dan 3 memiliki kualitas fisik (bobot buah, panjang, diameter dan ketebalan kulit) terbaik. Kualitas kimia terbaik terdapat pada Aksesi 3. Susut bobot Aksesi 1 dan 3 merupakan susut bobot terendah dibandingkan Aksesi lainnya. Hasil pengujian aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas antioksidan pada semua aksesi tidak aktif. Umur simpan pisang berkisar antara 15 hari sampai dengan hari.

Abstract

Papaya (Carica papaya) is a climacteric fruit with an increased respiration rate during ripening process. Papaya respiration rate can be inhibited by providing a coating on the surface of the fruits, including chitosan, a polysaccharide derived from shrimp shell waste, or beeswax.The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of chitosan and beeswax coating on the shelf life and quality of papaya Callina fruit during storage. Results of the experiments showed that fruit coating with chitosan and beeswax can extend the shelf life of papaya Callina by four to five days compared to control due to inhibition respiration rate of papaya fruits during storage.The use of chitosan and beeswax was beneficial to maintain the physical and chemical quality of papaya Callina fruits.

Abstract

The method for determining the appropriate time to harvest banana could affect the shelf life and quality of banana fruits during storage. The objectives of this study were to establish the heat unit as harvesting criteria of banana “Mas Kirana” and to evaluate how heat unit affects fruit shelf life and postharvest maturity characteristics. The research was conducted at PTPN VIII Parakansalak Plantation, Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia, in November 2017 to February 2018. Laboratory analysis was conducted in Postharvest Laboratory, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture IPB in February to April 2018. The experiment was organized in a completely randomized design with a single factor of eight different flower tagging times after anthesis. Each treatment was replicated five times totaling 40 experimental units. The results showed that the different times of anthesis did not affect fruit size, weight per hand, number of fruits per hand and weight per fruit. Different time of anthesis did not affect respiration rate, fruit shelf life, physical and chemical quality. The minimum heat unit of 650ºC degree days can be used as harvesting criteria for banana “Mas Kirana”. The number of day after anthesis was 39 to 43 with fruit shelf life of 12 to 16 days.
