Abstract

Prisons in Indonesia are often described as a very terrible place and even there is no good side to be proud of. The case occurred recently has worsen the image of prison,where the head of Kalianda Prison was arrested by the Provincial Narcotics Agency (BNNP) for his involvement in illegal drugs that were traded in prison. This condition is very contrary to the condition at the Semarang Class II Women's Correctional Institution. The success of Semarang Class II Women's Correctional Institution in suppressing illegal levies cannot be separated from the leadership role of the head of the prison. The presence of a leader greatly affects the integrity of employees in his ranks. The Semarang Class II Women's Correctional Institution is the only one of the 611 Correctional Institutions (Technical Implementation Unit) which bears the title of Corruption-Free Area in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. This study aims to describe how the leadership of  the Head of Semarang Class II Women's Correctional Institution as a role model in achieving zero illegal levies using qualitative descriptive methods through field observations and in-depth interviews with structural officials, officials and inmates as informants.

Abstract

This research is analyzed the factors that influence a person to commit a crime that is commonly known as criminogenic needs which focuses on property crime convicts in Correctional Institution Class IIB Pangkalan Bun. The objectives of this research are to provide an explanation of the criminogenic needs of convicts in the case of theft and to discuss the benefits of research results for determining the pattern of convicts development. This research focuses on criminogenic needs that can affect the repetition of criminal acts, with the basic concepts of Bonta and Andrews research in 2007, which explained about the risk, needs, and responsiveness. This research used a mixed methods approach. While, the research sampling process was conducted using a purposive sampling technique, that is using 59 convicts for theft cases. Data collection was conducted by several techniques, such as distributing questionnaires, interviews and literature studies. The data were obtained from the respondents'answers in the questionnaire which were processed using the SPSS version 25.0 program. The criminal record, educational and employment, financial, the relatives and family, drugs and alcohol, emotional and personality, criminal duration, and the perception of Correctional Institution can be concluded as factors for the criminogenic needs of property crime convicts in Correctional Institution Class IIB Pangkalan Bun. Based on these factors, these can used in determining the form of coaching policies given to convicts, then it is used to avoid the possibility of recidivism.

Abstract

This study is a description of the effect of the sanction of cutting performance allowances on the performance of employees related to the discipline of attendance at the Penitentiary Class IIA Pekanbaru. This research uses grand theory compilation. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a population of all employees and a sample of 47 employee respondents in a Class IIA Penitentiary in Pekanbaru. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires through questionnaires. The results of the study between the sanctions for cutting performance allowances on employee performance have an effect on each other that t count > t table (7,708 > 1,679), which means that H1 is accepted. The result of R square is 56.9%. As for the remaining 43.1%, it is influenced by other aspects that are not explained in this study.

Abstract

Penitentiary is the most suitable place for prisoners to be able to change their behavior by increasing their religiosity. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of spiritual development in increasing the religiosity of narcotic inmates at the Women's Prison Class IIA Palembang and to determine the factors that hinder and encourage the implementation of spiritual development in increasing the religiosity of narcotic prisoners at the Women's Prison Class IIA Palembang. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach with interviews, observations and literature review. The results prove that an increase in spirituality is needed to teach new habits to prisoners. It was also found that the inhibiting factor was human resources and interest, while the driving factor was motivation and support from the surrounding environment and family.

Abstract

The performance of Correctional Officers is an important aspect for the Correctional Technical Implementing Unit which is a public organization that has duties and obligations in providing the best service for the community. There are many factors that affect the performance of officers in carrying out their duties and obligations, one of which is internal communication. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of internal communication on the performance of officers at the Banyuasin Class IIB Narcotics Correctional Institution. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach method using primary data from questionnaires through non-probability sampling techniques with saturated sampling or total sampling to all officers at the Narcotics Penitentiary Class IIB Banyuasin as many as 56 people. The questionnaire contains 23 statements related to the research variables, which are then analyzed by descriptive analysis test, simple linear regression test, significance test and determination test using IBM SPSS version 23 software. in the study the results of the t-test were obtained for hypothesis testing. Researchers get the value of t arithmetic (5.461) > t table (2.004) so ​​that H0 and Ha are accepted, which indicates that there is an influence of internal communication on the performance of officers. The researcher then conducted a determination test and obtained an R square value of 35.6%. As for the remaining 64.4%, it is influenced by other aspects that are not explained in this study. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant relationship between internal communication and the performance of officers at the Class IIB Banyuasin Narcotics Correctional Institution.

Abstract

This study focuses on the strategy of preventing cell phone smuggling in Class III Sinabang Penitentiary. Based on the regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 6 of 2013 concerning the Rules of State Penitentiary and Detention Center article 4 that there are 22 prohibitions for prisoners and detainees, one of which is possessing, carrying and or using electronic devices, such as laptops or computers, cameras, recording devices, mobile phones, fences, and the like. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. The theory used in this study is to use strategic management theory and management theory in terms of security management. This study uses interviews, observation and supporting documents. In conducting interviews, there were 10 people who became informants from correctional officers and prisoners. The results of the study showed that the strategy for preventing cell phone smuggling in the Sinabang Class III Penitentiary included maximizing P2U officers in checking and searching both guests and goods deposited from outside the prison, knowing all SOPs related to security and order disturbances, namely smuggling of cell phones., maximizing the wartelsuspas service to find out PAPs who do not use the service at all so that it is indicated that they are using a personal telephone. The obstacles are the absence of Women's Human Resources in the field of guarding, assistance from assistant staff (TAMPING), throwing from outside the wall, building patterns that are far from standard.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of LPKA Class I Medan employees. This study uses a quantitative approach which becomes the theory as a guide in research planning. In this research design a survey research design is used, the survey research design in question is a quantitative research procedure carried out to obtain a description of the attitudes, behaviors, and characteristics of the population obtained through the number of populations and samples. Questionnaires to all samples of 94 employees of LPKA Class I Medan which was carried out by distributing questionnaires through google forms which were distributed to all employees. Based on the results of data analysis conducted in this study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of job satisfaction on OCB of LPKA Class I Medan employees. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of employee perception of the influence of job satisfaction, the level of employee perception of OCB, and the level of employee perception of job satisfaction that affects OCB in the LPKA Class I Medan. There is a significant effect with a positive nature between job satisfaction and OCB of employees at LPKA Class I Medan, in this case it shows that the effect of effective job satisfaction which can be accepted by employees has an influence on OCB in task execution. The level of influence of job satisfaction on OCB is 51.0% while the rest is influenced by other variables not explained in this study

Abstract

The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with interviews, observations and literature reviews. The results prove that an increase in spirituality is needed to teach new habits to inmates. It was also found that the inhibiting factors were human resources and interest, while the driving factors were motivation and support from the surrounding environment and family.

Abstract

Time perspective dalam pemikiran manusia merupakan aspek mendasar yang mempengaruhi keputusan untuk bersikap atau berperilaku. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kecenderungan time perspective pada narapidana narkoba yang menghuni Lapas Kelas IIA Jember dengan menggunakan dimensi yang meliputi masa lalu (saat mengonsumsi narkoba), masa sekarang (saat menghuni Lapas), dan masa depan (rencana/target hidup setelah bebas). Temuan tentang time perspective tersebut kemudian dijadikan sebagai dasar dalam pengevaluasian pembinaan narapidana narkoba yang telah dilaksanakan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan 7 informan, yaitu Kasi Binadik Lapas, 5 narapidana narkoba, dan 2 narapidana narkoba residivis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan studi dokumentasi yang kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik flow chart analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembinaan narapidana narkoba di Lapas Kelas IIA Jember tidak berbeda dengan narapidana lainnya. Dari 7 aspek pembinaan yang dirumuskan, hanya ada 5 aspek yang berjalan sedangkan aspek intelektual dan konseling/rehab tidak dijalankan karena faktor overcapacity. Kondisi time perspective narapidana sebelum dan saat menghuni Lapas terjadi perubahan dari present hedonistic menjadi future. Perubahan time perspective semenjak berada di dalam Lapas cenderung ke arah yang lebih baik (future) sehingga secara tidak langsung juga mempengaruhi pengambilan keputusan dalam bersikap dan berperilaku. Namun, setelah narapidana bebas dari Lapas, time perspective berubah kembali menjadi present hedonistic sehingga memperbesar peluang untuk kembali mengonsumsi narkoba. Mengacu pada hal tersebut, diketahui bahwa efek pembinaan cenderung bersifat sementara. Sebagai upaya untuk meminimalisir terjadinya hal tersebut, maka dapat dilakukan beberapa evaluasi pembinaan narapidana narkoba di antaranya pengoptimalisasian sistem rolling, revisi kebijakan partisipasi pembinaan serta pengadaan perpustakaan berjalan

Abstract

Pemeliharaan adalah suatu kegiatan pencegahan dan mempertahankan keandalan suatu fasilitas atau benda, sehingga ketika dibutuhkan, benda atau fasilitas tersebut dapat digunakan dalam kondisi yang baik. Pemeliharaan sarana pengamanan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan sangat penting dilakukan untuk meminimalisir terjadinya gangguan keamanan dan ketertiban serta petugas memiliki kesiapan alat yang baik ketika dibutuhkan setiap saat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi kepustakaan dan penelitian secara langsung di lapangan berupa wawancara informan dan pengamatan langsung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pemeliharaan sarana pengamanan intelijen di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Khusus Kelas IIA Gunung Sidur berlangsung baik namun belum berjalan secara maksimal diakarenakan anggaran yang terbatas, kerusakan sarana di luar dugaan tim hingga pelaporan kegiatan pemeliharaan sarana yang tidak sesuai dengan pedoman pemeliharaan sarana pengamanan.
