Abstract

Sensitivity is the comparison result between changes in output signal intensity and changes in input signal shift sensor. The purpose of this study was to analyze the sensitivity of fiber optic sensors using mathematical analysis through the Gaussian beam approach and quasi-Gaussian beam compared with the sensitivity of the optical sensor experimental results so that it can find the correct approach of sensitivity values between theory and experiment. The research method used mathematical analysis and experimental methods and mathematical descriptions for the description of the bundle optical fiber used in the experiment until the sensitivity equation is obtained. The results of the mathematical analysis of the Gaussian beam sensitivity values obtained of S = 0.004 mV ppm-1 and the sensitivity of quasi-Gaussian beam of S = 0.08 mV ppm-1. The results of the sensitivity of experimentally obtained S = 0.11 mV ppm-1. Based on the results of mathematical, experimental analysis, and sensor performance, sensitivity through the flat mirror reflection field, it can be concluded that the sensitivity of the optical fiber sensor tends to approach through the quasi-Gaussian beam approach to determine cholesterol concentration.

Abstract

AbstrakKualifikasi SDM pada kerangka KKNI menyebutkan bahwa mahasiswa Prodi S1 Pendidikan Sains harus menguasai konsep teoritis yang mendalam pada bidang ilmu IPA dan pendidikan IPA serta mampu memformulasikan penyelesaian masalah secara prosedural. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa melalui kegiatan pembuatan peta konsep dalam menganalisis materi serta menganalisis kegiatan. Desain penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimental dengan tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil yang diperoleh sejauh  ini adalah  1)  hasil  belajar siswa terbagi menjadi: A. kegiatan analisis materi pada  KD  yang  terpilih dengan  materi  tiap  KD  sebagai berikut: a) pengukuran dengan nilai 77,1; sifat bahan dengan nilai 81,3; pemanasan global dengan nilai 72,9; listrik statis dengan nilai 81,3; atom ion  molekul  dengan  nilai 70,8;  fluida  dengan  nilai  91,7;  Interaksi  Makhluk  hidup   dan lingkungannya dengan nilai 75,0; Pewarisan sifat dengan nilai 85,4; Zat aditif, adiktif, dan psikotropika dengan nilai 75,0; Bioteknologi dengan nilai  81,3;  Tanah  dengan  nilai  70,8; Sistem  ekskresi dengan  nilai  91,7;  Sistem  jaringan  tumbuhan  dengan  nilai  75,7; Sistem  reproduksi  dengan  nilai   77,8;   Sistem gerak  manusia dengan  nilai  73,4;  Perkembangan  penduduk  dengan  nilai  75,2; B.  rata-rata hasil kegiatan analisis kegiatan  praktikum  didapat sebagai berikut: a) membuat peta konsep sebesar 8,2; b) hasil belajar mahasiswa materi IPA diperoleh dengan membandingkan hasil pretest dan  postest mahasiswa dengan menggunakan N-Gain ternormalisasi dan  didapat  rata-rata  sebesar  0,34,  skor  tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar, tetapi tidak terlalu signifikan.Kata Kunci: peta konsep, analisis materi, analisis kegiatan praktikum, sains sekolah

Abstract

Scientific literacy skills about the plague were needed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Students who previously studied at school now have to spend a lot of time at home studying. They are then primarily very dependant on the internet to get valuable information of academic purposes. However, concerns arise that massive access to information online has created problems with understanding Covid-19 which eventually may risk their attitude. Therefore, this study aims to analyze scientific literacy of students against the ongoing outbreak in terms of the contents. The research employs ADDIE model due to its compactness towards its process. The stages reflect the process of developing, studying, and implementing contagion literacy assessment products for junior high school students. The instrument design procedure consisted of literature study, development of test items, internal validation, and pilot project. The feasibility will be reviewed from the results of the validity and reliability. The data to be collected in this research are quantitative and qualitative data related to the validity and reliability. The results of the face validity test from three experts show that the questions arranged in the literacy instrument are considered valid with minor revision in terms of materials and construction. The pilot project, however, showed an opposite result. The instrument was scored invalid because 14 out of 20 questions were invalid. The influencing factor found was students was not ready to read long passage or data in digital format. Transmission, prevention, and treatment are the issues in which student are familiar with. Overall, the instrument was sufficient to observe what students know and needs much revision in terms of format.
