Abstract

Calamansi fruits (Citrus microcarpa) or musk lime is one horticulture crops has been known as beverage and food flavorings. This research aimed to determine the effect of 2,4-D and BAP on callus induction of explants calamansi fruits (Citrus microcarpa). Parameters observed is percentage of explants, time appeared callus, callus width, and texture of the callus. Research results and a growing percentage of the width callus explants were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test DMRT at 5% level. The next to appear callus timing parameters and texture of callus analyzed in description. The result shows that a combination of hormones D4B1 and D4B2 produces a callus emerged fastest of 3.3 days after culture. The highest percentage of callus formation that is 100% contained in the treatment of D2B0, D2B0.5-D4B0. The mean width of callus was highest in treatment D4B2with a width of 0.97 cm. Embryogenic callus resulting by treatment of D2B1, D2B2, and D3B0. However, the best a combination of hormones is treatment D2B2 (2 mg/l, 2,4-D, dan 2 mg/l BAP) producing embryogenic callus edvanced to suspension cultures.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve creative thinking skill of student class VII.3 SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru by implementation Brain Based Learning model with concept map technique. It had been done in SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru on January of April 2019. Parameters measure were student’s creative thinking skill. The type of research was classroom action research by implementation Brain Based Learning model with concept map technique. It had been done in two cylce with six of meeting’s and set done two basic competencies (KD) is KD. 3.10 and KD. 3.11. There wereplanning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation sheet and creative thinking skill sheet. The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that student’achievement on first cycle was 84,28 with predicate C and increased on second cycle up to 90,05 with predicate B. Classical completeness percentage on both of cyclewas 100%. Student’s attitude on first cycle was 54,87 with predicate D and increased on second cycle up to 84,10 with predicate B. It can be conclude that Brain Based Learning model with concept map technique can improve student’achievement of student class VII.3 SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Brain Based Learning, Student’s Achievement, Concept Map Technique

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find the correlation between self-Efficacy and motivation through students’ result of study at the seventh grade of SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. It was conducted on July until August 2020 in SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. This research is a quantitative research with correlational approach. Since there is the pandemic of Covid-19, the data was gathered by using google form and asked the students to give their responds through the statements in the questionnaire of self-efficacy and the questionnaire of motivation. Besides the questionnaire, the data of this research is the result of the students’ test in the biology subject. The finding of this research showed that (1) there is a significant correlation between self-efficacy and the result of the study. (2) there is a significant correlation between motivation and the result of the study, and (3) there is a significant correlation between self-efficacy and motivation through the result of the study. So, based on the finding of this research, it will be better if the students can improve their self-efficacy and their motivation to increase their result of the study.Key Words: Correlation, Self-Efficacy, Motivation, The Result Of The Study

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to develop the Student Worksheet development in digestion system content for grade VIII junior high school with scientific approach. The research was done at Faculty of Education, University of Riau in September until November 2015. The study refers to research approaches Research and Development using ADDIE models developed by Dick and Carry. Research carried out until the stage of development. The subjects is KD 3.6 junior high school grade VIII in digestion system content . Population and samples for limited trial randomly determine that the class VIII BK in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru as many as 25 students. Result of the validation of the design, pedagogical and content aspects showed all student worksheets obtain an average score 3.64, 3.63, 3.62, 3.53, and 3.60 categorized as very valid while the student response from the aspect of design and content showed all student worksheet obtain an average score 3.58, 3.58, 3.57, 3.87, and 3.50 with the excellent category.Keywords: Development, Student Worksheet, Scientific Approach.2

Abstract

Abstrak: One of the learning that can improve student learning outcomes in learning biology is through cooperative learning of Jigsaw. The purpose of this research to improve learning outcomes VII grade science students SMPS Islam Al-Asma Safari Bagan Siapiapi Academic Year 2015/2016. The research was conducted in classes VII SMPS Islam Al-Asma Safari Siapiapi chart of the month from March to April in Academic Year 2015/2016. The research subject is class VII are 25 people consisting of 17 women and 8 men. This research is a classroom action research study parameters are student learning outcomes absorption, mastery learning, and group awards. The instrument used in this study is the syllabus, lesson plans, and Student Assignment Sheet (LTS) data collection instruments, namely postal sheet test, and UH. From the research results can be known absorption in the first cycle was 69.15% (or less), increase the second cycle into 82.52% (excellent). Mastery learning students in the first cycle is 36% (category complete) and the second cycle increased to 96% (category complete). It can be concluded the implementation of cooperative learning model jigsaw can improve learning outcomes VII grade science students SMPS Islam Al-Asma Safari Bagan Siapiapi Academic Year 2015/2016.Key words: cooperative type jigsaw , study results

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to Produce Student Learning Sheet (LKPD) Based Discovery Learning Learning Model to Increase Critical Thinking Ability in Material of Class XI Coordination System of SMA. This research is conducted in Biology Education Laboratory of PMIPA Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Riau and SMAN Plus Riau Province. This research was conducted from March to June 2017. The research type used in this research is referring to Reseach and Development (R & D) approach using ADDIE model consist of five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluate. This research is only done until development stage. The instrument used is validation sheet and questionnaire of respondent. Further trial is limited to 12 students of Biology education and 24 students of class XI SMAN Plus Riau Province. Research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. LKPD validation result based on Discovery Learning Learning model for coordination system material seen from 3 aspect that is content feasibility aspect, design aspect, and pedagogic aspect. The validity value of LKPD based on Discovery Learning Learning model on the design aspect that is with the score of 3.31 category is very valid, the pedagogic aspect validity value is 3.38 category is very valid, while the validity value on feasibility aspect of content with score of 3.25 category valid. Student responses on all aspects are categorized very well with a score of 3.58 and the response of learners on all aspects is categorized very well with a score of 3.38Keyword: Learner Worksheets, a model of Discovery Learning learning and critical thinking

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a written test instrument based on scientific approach of the topic motion system on 11th grade in senior high school in October 2019-January 2020. The research was conducted in two places, for validation and phase I limited trials conducted at Biology Education Campus FKIP UNRI and the test phase II limited trials were conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. This type of research refers to the R&D research approach using the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry. The subject of this research is the subject matter of Biology on 11th grade in senior high school KD 3.5. The written test instrument developed consisted of 5 meetings with an allocation of 15 minutes for posttest work and 2x45 minutes (2 JP) for daily test questions. The parameters of this study include the results of the validation of the development of a written test instrument by the validator and the response of the limited phase I and phase II trial evaluations. The assessment is done using a validation sheet and a questionnaire. Data analysis is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study indicate the written test instruments that have been developed are in the category of very valid with an average score of all aspects of 3.41, the value of the results of the limited trial phase I on all aspects obtained an average score of 3.35 and stage II 3.33 with very good categories . The results of theanalysis of the whole items of the test instrument from posttest 1 to daily tests in phase I trials obtained a reliability index of 0.837 to 0.939 in the very high category, a difficulty level index of 0.143 to 0.857, a difficult to easy category, a distinguishing power index at intervals of 0.40-1, 00 categories of questions are well received, and the percentage of effective deceiters is 70% -100%. While the results of the analysis of the whole item test instruments from posttest 1 to daily tests in phaseII trials obtained a reliability index of 0.685–0.923 categories of high to very high, difficulty index index of 0.138–0.758 categories of difficult to easy, distinctive power index at intervals of 0.40 -1.00 question categories were well received, and the percentage of deceiters was effective at 100%. Based on the results of the validation, the results of the limited trial phase I, the limited trial results phase II, and the revisions that have been made, this written test instrument is good and feasibleto be used as an evaluation tool in learning based on the scientific approach at school to hone and assess problem solving skills by students.KeyWords: Written Test Instrument, Scientific Approach, Motion System

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study is the development learning module biology ipa scientific oriented approach for improved critical thinking on the structure of plants and materials utilization in technology in class VIII SMP. The research was conducted at the campus of the University of Riau FKIP Biology Education and Student responses conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru in March to December 2015. This study uses 4-D model of development. Stages 4-D consists of four stages, namely Define (Definition Phase), Design (Stage Design), Develop (Development Phase), and Disseminate (Phase dissemination of). Data collection instruments used were sheets of validation and student questionnaire responses. Sheets validation judged by five validator which is composed of three lecturers and two junior high school teacher that consists of four aspects: the feasibility of the content, language, and kegrafisan dish. Results of the study the average score for the validation of the feasibility aspects of the content, language, serving and kegrafisan on module to obtain an average score of 3.4 with very valid category. Feasibility aspects contents obtained an average score of 3.5 in the category of very valid, linguistic aspects obtained a score of 3.4 with very valid category, next to the aspect grain obtained a score of 3.4 category is very valid, and aspects kegrafisan obtain an average score of 3, 3 categories are very valid. While the average score of students' responses to a questionnaire developed module is 3.4 to excellent category, out of 20 students in mind that 14 students responded very well to the module-oriented scientific approaches and 6 students responded well to the module-oriented approach scientifically developed. It was concluded that biological science learning modules oriented scientific approach that has been developed can be used and tested by teachers as an alternative in learning activities.Keywords: Critical thinking, Development, Module, Scientific Approach

Abstract

Abstract: The use of guided inquiry model of making the learning module can help direct students to find their own concepts they are learning so that students can associate the material they are learning. The purpose of this study was to develop a learning module oriented guided inquiry model of the material circulation system of class XI in improving students' critical thinking skills. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Studies Program Faculty of Teaching and Education University of Riau and SMAN 1 Pekanbaru in February 2015 - May 2016. The research is a research development by using ADDIE model of integration to the stage of development. Instruments of data collection in this study is the assessment sheet / validation module, student questionnaire responses and critical thinking skills assessment sheet. Once the module is developed, validated by 4 validator then the tests I at 12 4th semester students of biology education FKIP UR and II trials in 20 students in Class XI SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. The tests for aspects of the content presented, language, presentation and kegrafisan module obtained an average score 4.20 (valid). Aspects of the content presented is obtained an average score 4.28 (very valid), aspects of language obtained a score 4.07 (valid), then to obtain a grain aspect score 4.16 (valid) and aspects of kegrafisan obtain an average score 4.30 (very valid). In the student questionnaire responses in the experiment I belong to the category module SB (Very Good), while the second test the response of 20 students of the modules developed is 84% in one study and 82% in the second study with either category. As for the average results of analysis of students' answers on the learning modules acquire 82% considered good value. Based on the results of data analysis can be seen that the module-oriented model of guided inquiry learning to enhance students' critical thinking skills in class XI material circulation system that has been developed can already be used with a valid category..Key words: Development, Module, Guided Inquiry, Critical thinking, System Circulation

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Solving on quality material for Environmental Change and Conservation for class X SMA. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, SMAN 1 Koto Kampar Hulu and SMAN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu in October-January 2021. The type of research used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE research model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this study, researchers only reached the development stage. The data collection instruments were in the form of validation sheets and respondent questionnaires. The results of the validation of the Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Solving on the material for Environmental Change and Preservation of class X SMA are at an average value of 3.67 with a very valid category. The result of the limited trial score I was 3.60 in the very good category. The result of the limited trial score II was 3.61 with a very good category. Thus, problem solving-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on Environmental Change and Preservation material for class X SMA have been successfully developed with very good quality and can be implemented on a wider scale.
