Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh proses pembelajaran matematika yang belum optimal karena proses pembelajaran yang masih monoton sehingga mengakibatkan aktivitas siswa menjadi kurang aktif dan siswa kurang memberi respon terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) bagaimana hasil belajar matematika siswa, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa dan (2) apakah model Project, Activity, Cooperative Learning, Exercise (PACE) efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas VIII.A SMP Negeri 2 Sinjai Selatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design, yaitu jenis penelitian yang hanya melibatkan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One-Shot Case Study, yaitu sebuah percobaan yang dilakukan tanpa adanya kelompok pembanding dan tanpa tes awal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa yaitu 66,31 dengan standar deviasi 24,60 dan persentase siswa yang mencapai kriteria tuntas yaitu 80,8%, Aktivitas siswa dikatakan baik/aktif  karena rata-rata persentase siswa yang melakukan aktivitas positif yaitu 79,56%, dan respon siswa dikatakan positif karena rata-rata persentase siswa yang menjawab “ya” yaitu 96,15%. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika melalui model Project, Activity, Cooperative Learning, Exercise (PACE) efektif diterapkan di kelas VIII.A SMPN 2 Sinjai Selatan.ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the learning process of mathematics which is not optimal because the learning process is still monotonous resulting in students activities become less active and less students give response to the learning. This research was conducted with objectives to determine: (1) how students ' mathematics learning outcomes, student activity, student responses, and (2) whether the model Project, Activity, Cooperative Learning, Exercise (PACE) effectively applied in the learning of mathematics of students of class VIII.A SMP Negeri 2 Sinjai Selatan. This type of research is pre-experimental design, namely the type of research that only involves one class as the experimental class and the research design used is One-Shot Case Study, namely an experiment that was done in the absence of a comparison group and without a preliminary test. The results showed that the score of the average value of student learning outcomes that 66,31 by the standard deviation to 24.60 and the percentage of students who achieve the criteria completely ie 80,8%, the Activity of the students is said to be good/active because the average percentage of students who perform a positive activity that is 79,56%, and the response of the students said to be positive because the average percentage of students who answered “yes” that is 96,15%. From the results of the study concluded that the learning of mathematics through model Project, Activity, Cooperative Learning, Exercise (PACE) effectively applied in class VIII.A SMPN 2 Sinjai Selatan.

Abstract

<p><span style="text-align: justify;">The application of a new paradigm in the form of a learning model that is adopted from outside and adapted in schools requires students and teachers to change their teaching and learning behavior. Constructive interaction between students and their peers, students and teachers, student-teacher problems are very difficult to condition. This is due to conventional teaching which conditions students to passively receive knowledge. This is evident from student activities, students are reluctant to ask the teacher and their friends even though they are given encouragement and motivation. Smart students prefer to work alone and if they have difficulty directly asking the teacher without passing the results of their group discussions. Maximum results are expected to be achieved, if the application of the new paradigm of learning mathematics is more adapted to the natural way students learn mathematics, and is also more in accordance with the essence of developing mathematical thinking skills. Learning is sought to be more meaningful in local culture and in the learning process incorporating cultural systems and cultural values found in the community in the area where students are, therefore, the purpose of this study is to formulate and compile a mathematics learning model based on A'Bulo Sibatang culture in the classroom. V SD in Bulukumba Regency. This type of research is the development of A'Bulo Sibatang-based mathematics learning model through the development of learning models, tools and instruments in an effort to improve the character of students in mathematics learning by implementing local culture in learning. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the a'bulo sibatang-based learning model was valid and met the effective criteria and the level of practicality of the model was in the high category.</span></p><p> </p>

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the results of the analysis of higher order thinking skills in mathematics problem solving based on revised Bloom's taxonomy viewed from gender equality. The subject of the research is two students of SMPN 1 Takalar selected using a purposive sampling technique. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The description was obtained by analyzing the tests of higher order thinking skills in mathematical problem solving. In this study, instruments in the form of questions test higher order thinking skills based on revised Bloom's taxonomy and the interview guideline. Data collection techniques in the form of test, interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique was data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the research show that subjects can use their skills even though still not achieved optimally. Both subjects use almost all aspects of thinking skills based on the revised Bloom's taxonomy, either directly or to bridge the subject in constructing the higher order thinking skills. It shows the difference in students' higher order thinking skills from each category, namely the male and female categories.

Difficulty Analysis of Resolving Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) Questions on Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) in Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 34 Makassar. Thesis. The main problem in this research is how the description of the difficulty in solving Higher Order Thinking Skill questions about the two-variable linear equation system material in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 34 Makassar. This study aims to describe the difficulty of solving the Higher Order Thinking Skill questions of the two-variable linear equation system material for the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Makassar. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research procedure includes preparation, implementation and completion. The subjects in this study were 3 students of class VIII.A SMP Negeri 34 Makassar. The technique of determining the subject is by giving tests to all students of class VIII.A to select the 3 students who get the highest score from the test results. Determination of the subject based on the consideration of the subject teacher and test score results. This study refers to three indicators of the difficulty of HOTS questions, namely: analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The instrument in this study was a test of the difficulty of the Higher Order Thinking Skill questions and interview guidelines.               Based on the results of research which shows that S1 has difficulty conceptual and verbal. Where is the difficulty in separating important pieces of information and difficulty in writing conclusions at the stage of evaluating and creating. S2 experiences conceptual and verbal difficulties, where it is difficult to separate important pieces of information and difficulty in writing conclusions. S2 also has difficulty making correct hypotheses and difficulties in conducting tests in detail in the hypotheses it makes. Teknik penentuan subjek yaitu dengan memberikan tes kepada seluruh siswa kelas VIII.A untuk memilih 3 siswa yang memperoleh nilai tertinggi dari hasil tes. Penentuan subjek berdasarkan pertimbangan guru mata pelajaran dan skor hasil tes. Penelitian ini mengacu pada tiga indikator kesulitan soal HOTS yaitu: menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kesulitan soal Higher Order Thinking Skill dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa S1 mengalami kesulitan konsep dan verbal. Dimana kesulitan dalam memisahkan bagian-bagian informasi yang penting dan kesulitan dalam meuliskan kesimpulan pada tahap mengevalusi dan mencipta. S2 mengalami kesulitan konsep dan verbal, dimana kesulitan  memisahkan bagian-bagian informasi yang penting dan kesulitan dalam menuliskan kesimpulan. S2 juga kesulitan dalam membuat hipotesis yang benar dan kesulitan dalam melakukan pengujian dengan rinci dalam hipotesis yang dibuatnya. Abstract

The essence of mathematics is a concept, so learning mathematics requires special ways to learn and teach it.Vision of the development mathematics learning to fill the needs of the present, directing mathematics learning to understanding mathematical concepts / principles which are needed to solve mathematical problems and other scientific problems.However, most of students are still unable to solve mathematical problems because their understanding ability has not developed as they should. Understanding the concept makes it easier for students to solve problems because students will be able to link and solve these problems with provision concepts that are understood.So the approach is needed to improve students' understanding of concept skills. The alternative that  used is to apply the metaphorical thinking approach. This study aims to determine the effect of the metaphorical thinking approach on the students ability  to understand the concepts in Class VIII.3 Islamic Athirah 2 Makassar.the type of this research is a pre-experimental with of The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all class VIII at SMP Islamic Athirah 2 Makassar and selected class VIII.3 representing the population.Data collection techniques in this study are tests of concept comprehension ability which are then analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics using t test. Based on the results of the study, both from the results of analysis or hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the metaphorical thinking approach affects the ability to understand the concept of students in class VIII at SMP Islamic Athirah 2 Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe scramble terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Selayar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah dua kelas X IPS SMA Negeri 7 Selayar yang dipilih secara acak, satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol dan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang dilakukan sebelum diberi perlakukan (pretest) dan setelah diberi perlakuan (posttest). Analisis data penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik secara deskriptif maupun inferensial kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe scramble berada dalam kategori cukup tinggi dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diajar dengan model scramble lebih dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diajar dengan model konvensional. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe scramble berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Selayar.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat penyuluhan dan cek kesahatan ini berlokasi di Desa Borong Sapiri Kecamatan Bontomarannu Kabupaten Gowa Sulawesi Selatan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pola hidup sehat guna mencegah penyakit degeratif di usia lanjut. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk melakukan pengecekan kesehatan secara berkala dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk melakukan pola hidup sehat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melalui kegiatan penyuluhan da pengecekan kesehatan. Kegiatan penyuluhan berupa penyampaian materi dan edukasi mengenai penyakit degeneratif dan pola hidup sehat. Sedangkan kegiatan pengecekan kesehatan  meliputi cek tekanan darah, gula darah dan kolesterol Hasil yang diperoleh adalah 60% warga mengalami hipertensi, 30% warga memiliki kadar kolesterol tinggi dan tidak ada warga yang mengidap diabetes.Abstract:  This outreach and health check community service activity is located in Desa Borong Sapiri, Kecamatan Bontomarannu, Kabupaten Gowa, South Sulawesi. This activity aims to increase public awareness about a healthy lifestyle to prevent degerative diseases in old age. The problems that occur are the lack of public awareness to carry out regular health checks and the lack of public awareness to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Based on these problems, this activity is carried out through counseling activities and health checks. Extension activities in the form of delivering materials and education about degenerative diseases and healthy lifestyles. While the health check activities include checking blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. The results obtained are that 60% of residents have hypertension, 30% of residents have high cholesterol levels and none of the residents have diabetes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan bangun ruang dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: Buku Siswa, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS), Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah12 Makassar, dan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas IX dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang. Penelitian ini, hanya dilakukan ujicoba terbatas sehingga masih perlu dikembangkan untuk mengukur efektivitas pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan bangun ruang sisi lengkung di kelas IX SMP dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini menggunakan model Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) tahap, yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan pengembangan dan penyebaran. Instrumen yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini berupa RPP, LKS, dan Buku Siswa yang sudah di validasi. Dari hasil penelitian di atas dapat di simpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education Pokok Bahasan bangun ruang siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 12 makassar maka kesiapan dan pemahaman siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dapat berkembang dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimen yang melibatkan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen tanpa adanya kelas kontrol, dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah Salaka tahun ajaran 208/2019 sebanyak 25 orang. Penelitian ini mengacu pada tiga dari empat aspek kriteria keefktifan pembelajaran, yaitu; hasil belajar, aktivitas siswa, dan respon siswa. Suatu pembelajaran dapat dikatakan efektif jika tiga dari aspek tersebut terpenuhi dengan syarat aspek hasil belajar yaitu ketuntasan belajar diambil dari perbedaan atara hasil belajar sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Penelitian dilaksanakan slama 5 kali pertemuan. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi untuk mengamati aktivitas siswa, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT adalah 82,44 dan berada pada kategori tinggi dengan standar deviasi 94,037 dimana skor tertinggi 98,00 an skor tersendah 64,00 ari skor ideal 100. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh 21 siswa atau 90% mencapai ketuntasan individu, 4 siswa atau 10% tidak mencapai ketuntasan individu dan itu berarti ketuntasan secara klasikal tercapai. (2) rata-rata persentase frekuensi aktivitas siswa yaitu 75,8 dari indikator kriteria aktivitas siswa sudah mencapai kriteria aktif. (3) angket respon siswa menujukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT yang dilihat dari hasil rata-rata siswa menjawab “Ya” sebesar 93,5. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah Salaka.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the Mathematical literacy skills of Grade VI students of SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa, in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles, based on the six levels of Mathematical literacy. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were two grade IV students, one student with a reflective style and another student with an impulsive style. The data collection began by giving a cognitive style test and an initial Mathematics test. Then, a Mathematical literacy test was also administered to determine the level of students’ literacy. After that, an interview was conducted to obtain more accurate data. The results showed that (1) the reflective student took a long time and was very circumspect in answering the Mathematical literacy test questions, so that the results were more accurate. The reflective student was able to answer the questions with clear procedures sequentially and was able to interpret and use representations based on information of the questions, so that it could take the right strategy to answer the question. These results revealed that the students were at the third level of mathematical literacy ability, (2) the impulsive student needed shorter time and was less careful in answering a Mathematical literacy test so that the results were less accurate. The results showed that the impulsive student could answer the question with an identified context and the relevant information with a clear question was available.
