Abstract

Current learning and mathematical reasoning who have not been up, to be the reason to conduct research development. The desired product in this study is a learning device such as RP and LKM to improve the mathematical reasoning through problem solving. Methode used such as Plomp and quality of the products developed by Nieveen. Assessment of product is the validity (validator), practicality, and effectiveness (results limited trial). Limited trial demonstrated the practicality criteria have been met as students respond positively to the learning, structure and step sequences of learning, interest in learning, and the LKS. Effectiveness criteria have been satisfied with either minimal category, or an increase of mathematical reasoning.

Abstract

The previous research show that the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students are still low. This research has aims to analyze and description students' mathematical abilities communication on patterns and rows of number. This research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects are 9 students of the MTS Nurul Bilad class, Rokan Hilir 2019/2020 with high, moderate, and low ability. Data collection techniques use written test. The results are the mathematical communication skills of high-ability students are already good, marked by the achievement of all indicators: use own language to explain the solutions of a picture, explain the solution of the problem mathematics in the form picture, stating the problem or every day in the mathematical model Mathematical communication skills of moderately capable students are still in the category enough because students can reach indicators use own language to explain the solutions of a picture and stating the problem or every day in the mathematical model. Mathematical communication skills of low-ability students are still in the unfavorable category because only reach indicator use own language to explain the solutions of a picture

Abstract

The understanding of mathematics in learning needs to be emphasized because there are still many students who do not understand mathematical materials. Algebraic form material is a material that is considered difficult for students about the operation of algebraic form. The purpose of this research is to expose the mathematical understanding of the algebraic material aspects of the Self Efficacy students. Research conducted at the private MTs Al-Munawwarah in class VII-A consisting of 33 students. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. The data collection techniques in this research in the form of written and poll tests. Data analysis techniques using three main steps namely scoring, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that high-skilled students had high self efficacy, this was evident from the fulfilment of the three indicators of mathematical understanding ability. The students can have self efficacy moderate, only able to meet the second indicator that is associating some concepts/principles and stating them in mathematical symbols. Low-skilled students have a low self efficacy visible from students unable to meet the three indicators of mathematical comprehension ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the cognitive level of the questions in the eighth grade mathematics textbook on the material of the Pythagorean theorem, circles and tangents to circles according to the revised bloom taxonomy. In this study, the research subject was a competency test item contained in the Mathematics book for SMP / Mts Class VIII Semester 2 written by M Cholik Adinawan and published by Erlangga as many as 101 questions divided into 33 questions of competency 1, competency test 2 of 39 and competency test 3 as many as 29 questions. This research was conducted by analyzing the cognitive level of the questions based on the cognitive process in solving the questions. Based on the cognitive indicators of the revised bloom taxonomy, each cognitive level of questions was classified into six cognitive levels. The result of this research is the cognitive level in each competency test. The results of each cognitive level of the material pythagorean theorem C1 3.03%, C2 6.06%, C3 60.6%, C4 24.24%, C5 6.06%, and C6 0%. The results of the cognitive process level questions on the subject circle C1 2.56%, C2 25.64%, C3 51.28%, C4 20.51%, C5 and C6 0%. And the results of the cognitive process level questions on the subject tangent to circle C2 21.42%, C3 62.06%, C4 17.24% and C1, C5 and C6 0%. These results meet the achievement criteria for Basic Competence at C3 and C4 as much as 40%, do not meet the achievement for C1 and C2 as much as 30% and C5 and C6 as much as 30%. From the above results it can be concluded that the percentage of question analysis has not fulfilled the distribution of questions that support the achievement of basic competencies

Abstract

Studi pengembangan ini dimaksudkan untuk menghasilkan produk pembelajaran yang valid dan praktis. Produk yang dimaksudkan adalah silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar aktivitas siswa (LAS) untuk materi relasi dan fungsi. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan fase model pengembangan 4D, yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate. Setelah rancangan awal produk selesai, produk yang dihasilkan lalu diuji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya. Uji validitas diukur menggunakan angket validasi yang diisi oleh 3 orang validator ahli. Kepraktisan penggunaan LAS diuji pada 6 orang siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Mandah. Hasil studi menunjuukan bahwa produk yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Perangkat pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran materi relasi dan fungsi. Harus dilakukan ekperimen untuk mengukur tingkat efektivitas produk yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

This is a case study to describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities based on the level of independent learning on the probability chapter. The research subjects were ten students of MAN 1 Indragiri Hilir consist of two students for each level, which were very low, low, medium, high, and very high. Data collection uses problem-solving tests, questionnaires, and unstructured interviews. The results of Polya's problem-solving on the probability chapter are the high category for very high independence learner, the medium category for high and medium independence learner, and the low category for low and very low independence learner. The step of Polya's problem-solving which is not done optimally by each student of independent learning is verification (look back) the process and answer the question.

Abstract

The low mathematical problem solving ability of students is seen from the results of the national exam on mathematics subjects, namely 43.34%. This study aims to describe the ability to solve mathematical problems based on policy theory which consists of 4 stages (1) understanding, (2) planning, (3) solving, and (4) checking. The subjects studied were 30 students of VIII class. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques with test and interview methods Instrument-used 3 questions which are mathematical problems related to the surface area and volume of building flat side space. The results of this study indicate that students who have the ability (1) are very good, often forget to write what is known and what is asked, (2) at a good level, students have difficulty understanding and making a mathematical model of the problem editor, (3 ) at a low level, students make mistakes in calculating, (4) At a very poor level, students have difficulty understanding and making mathematical models and their solutions. It is expected to the teacher to give emphasis on understanding the concept of flat and wake up flat side space when the learning process takes place and associate it in everyday life, because most students have difficulty in understanding and making mathematical models of the editorial questions given.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis model discovery learning pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII SMP/MTs. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4- D, yaitu define (pendefenisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan) dan desseminate (penyebaran). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen validitas dan praktikalitas. Instrumen validitas berupa lembar penilaian validasi untuk menilai kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, RPP dan LAS. Instrumen praktikalitas berupa angket respon siswa untuk menilai keterbacaan LAS. Perangkat pembelajaran yang sudah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh tiga validator. Uji coba kelompok kecil dilakukan pada siswa SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. Hasil analisis data kevalidan diperoleh nilai rata-rata untuk silabus, RPP dan LAS berturut-turut 3,78; 3,67; dan 3,59 yang dikategorikan sangat valid. Hasil analisis data kepraktisan LAS pada uji coba kelompok kecil adalah 3,72 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis model discovery learning pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar meliputi silabus, RPP dan LAS yang valid dan LAS yang praktis.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan; Perangkat Pembelajaran; Model Discovery Learning; 4-D. Abstract. This research to produce a product in the form mathematical learning devices using discovery learning model on polyhedron material of class VIII SMP/MTs. The development model used is the 4-D model namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality. The validity instrument is a validation assessment sheet to assess the validity of learning tools form of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The practical instrument is a student response questionnaire to assess the readability of the LAS. The mathematical learning devices developed are validated by three validators. Small group trials were carried out on students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. The results of the validity data analysis obtained an average value for the syllabus, lesson plans and LAS respectively 3,78; 3,67; and 3,59 which are categorized as very valid. The results of the practicality data analysis of LAS in the small group trial were 3,72 with the very practical category. This research and development produces a product that is a mathematical learning device using discovery learning model on polyhedron material which includes valid syllabus, lesson plan and student worksheets and practical worksheets.Keywords: Research and Development; Learning Devices; Discovery Learning Model; 4-D.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang terdiri dari silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), dan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS) pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel di kelas X yang menerapan model Problem Based Learning yang valid dan praktis. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang terdiri dari tahap define (definisi), design (rancangan), development (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi perangkat pembelajaran dan angket respon peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil validasi silabus adalah 3,59, nilai rata-rata hasil validasi RPP adalah 3,64, serta nilai rata-rata hasil validasi LAS adalah 3,42. Kemudian LKPD yang dikembangkan juga telah memenuhi syarat praktikalitas dengan nilai rata-rata angket rsepon peserta didik adalah 3,60 pada uji coba kelompok kecil.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 mengubah wajah pendidikan di Indonesia, perubahan kegiatan belajar yang biasanya dilakukan di dalam kelas dengan tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran daring. Pemerintah dan guru telah berusaha agar pembelajaran selama pandemi dapat tetap berlangsung dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis problema pembelajaran matematika pada masa pandemi covid-19 melalui whatsapp group. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VII.8 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru sebanyak 40 siswa.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket respon siswa, rekapitulasi tugas siswa, dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa banyak problema yang dihadapi guru dan siswa selama melakukan pembelajaran matematika  melalui whatsapp group. Kendala yang dihadapi guru adalah sulitnya mengawasi pengerjaan tugas siswa karena tidak dilakukan secara langsung sehingga banyak jawaban tugas siswa yang mirip dengan jawaban siswa lainnya, selain itu siswa juga kurang aktif selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Kendala yang dihadapi siswa berupa kuota internet yang terbatas, jaringan internet yang buruk, siswa kesulitan memahami materi pelajaran, serta kurangnya semangat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Untuk membantu pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika di masa pandemi sebaiknya dikombinasikan dengan bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran lain berbasis digital.
