Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of diagnostic test questions with regular straight motion material. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. In this research, Sujek was a class X student at Jagoi Babang 01 High School. The research instrument was in the form of question feasibility questionnaire addressed to the validator and the test used to test the characteristics of the questions including validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiating power of the questions and knowing the profile of students' conceptual understanding. The results of the study indicate that: (1) A total of 13 questions have very good assessment criteria by experts; (2) 9 questions are declared valid and 3 questions are invalid; (3) Reliability index of 0.81 with very strong criteria; (4) 11 questions have medium criteria and 1 problem is difficult keriteria; (5) criteria for distinguishing good as many as 4 questions, criteria are enough 6 questions and bad criteria 2 questions; (6) The percentage of students who understand the concept is 22.31%, misconceptions are 36.56% and do not understand the concept of 41.13%.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to 1) Produce instructional textbook of physics education based on constructivistic approach, and 2) Knowing the quality of textbooks in terms of feasibility aspects of content, feasibility of presentation, language feasibility and feasibility grafika according to experts. This research is an R & D research with procedural model that adapted the procedure of ADDIE development which consists of three stages: analysis, design, and development. The research instrument is in the form of scale of textbook quality assessment using Likert scale made in the form of checlist. The subjects of textbook quality assessment are three material experts and three media experts. Textbook quality data obtained in the form of quantitative data is converted by product quality percentage scale. The result of this research are: (1) Developed instructional product in the form of textbook based on constructivistic approach as learning material of physics education evaluation in accordance with KKNI curriculum, and (2) The quality of textbook developed has excellent quality (SB) based on assessment of material experts with a percentage of 84.05% of ideal high score 148, and excellent quality (SB) based on media expert's judgment with a percentage of 82.56% of the ideal high score of 80.Keywords: textbooks, physical education evaluations, constructivistically

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the National Instruments (NI) Multisim Software on students’ mastery of the wave rectifier circuit viewed from students' visual-spatial abilities (KVS). A pre-experimental design was used in this study. The sample of this research was students of the Physics Education Study Program taking the Basic Electronics I course selected through saturated sampling technique. The data collection tools were in the form of a visual-spatial ability test instrument and the wave rectifier circuit mastery test instrument. Correlation tests, multiple regression, and independent-sample t-test were used to determine the effect of spatial-visual ability on the learning outcomes of the wave rectifier circuit through the application of the National Instruments Multisim Software. The results obtained indicate that: 1) Student learning outcomes on the wave rectifier circuit material by using the NI-Multisim Software has in the sufficient category; 2) Students' visual-spatial ability on the KVS-interpretation has very high-category, KVS-series pattern has high-category, KVS-reflection has high-category, KVS-rotation has high-category, KVS-projection has high-category, and KVS-drawing has medium-category; 3) The ability of students' spatial visibility has a positive and significant correlation to student learning outcomes and has an influence contribution of 76.20% to learning outcomes; 4) The learning outcomes of students who have KVS-high are better than the average learning outcomes of students who have KVS-low in learning the wave rectifier series material using the NI-Multisim software.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains pada materi optika, tekanan, dan getaran gelombang. Penelitian merupakan penelitian research and development dengan tahapan 4D yang dibatasi hanya menggunakan tiga tahapan yaitu tahap define, design, dan development. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket uji kelayakan soal yang ditujukan kepada validator dan angket respons siswa. Subjek  penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri yang ada di Kecamatan Sungai Kakap yang berjumlah 20 orang. Tes yang dikembangkan berbentuk pilihan ganda beralasan dan essay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Validitas atau kelayakan instrumen KPS yang dikembangkan berdasarkan pakar adalah valid dan layak digunakan; (2) Validitas butir soal instrumen penilaian KPS yang dikembangkan dengan kriteria valid; (3) Reliabilitas soal dari instrumen KPS sangat kuat untuk soal pilihan ganda materi optika dan getaran gelombang; reliabilitas kuat untuk soal materi tekanan; dan reliabilitas sedang untuk soal essay materi optika, tekanan, dan getaran gelombang; dan (4) Soal-soal yang dikembangkan dalam instrumen penilaian KPS didominasi soal dengan tingkat kesukaran kategori sedang. AbstractThe research aims to produce an instrument of assessment to measure science process skills in optical material, pressure and vibration waves. This research is a research and development study with 4D stages that are limited to only using three stages, namely the define, design, and development stages. The research instrument was in the form of questionnaire due diligence questions addressed to students' validators and questionnaires. The subjects were grade IX students of one of the 20 state junior high schools in Sungai Kakap. The developed test is in the form of multiple-choice reasoning and essay. The results of the study show that: (1) The validity or feasibility of the developed KPS instrument is valid and suitable for use; (2) The validity of items from the KPS assessment instruments developed with valid criteria; (3) The reliability of the questions from the KPS instrument is very strong for the matter of multiple-choice optical material and wave vibrations; strong reliability for matter of pressure material; and moderate reliability for optical material, pressure, and wave vibration essays; and (4) Questions developed in the KPS assessment instrument are dominated by problems with difficulty level medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan modul berbasis inkuiri dan tanpa modul pada materi gerak,(2) perbedaan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan modul berbasis inkuiri dan tanpa modul pada materi gerak, dan (3) besar efektivitas penggunaan modul fisika berbasis inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar dan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain randomized control group pretest-postest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester satu Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika tahun akademik 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari tiga kelas dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil undian terpilihlah kelas A Pagi yang diberi modul fisika berbasis inkuiri dan kelas B Pagi tidak menggunakan modul. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pengukuran dan teknik komunikasi tidak langsung. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes berbentuk pilihan ganda dan essai serta angket kemandirian belajar. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan statistik parametrik yaitu uji t - 2ekor dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 20 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan modul berbasisinkuiri dan tanpa modul pada materi gerak, (2) terdapat perbedaan kemandirianbelajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan modul berbasis inkuiri dan tanpa modul pada materi gerak, (3) efektivitas penggunaan modul fisika berbasis inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar sebesar 0,30 (tergolong sedang), dan (4) efektivitas penggunaan modul fisika berbasis inkuiri terhadap kemandirian belajar sebesar 0,31 (tergolong sedang).Kata Kunci: efektivitas, modul inkuiri, kemandirian belajar, hasil belajar, gerak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menghasilkan modul berwawasan konstruktivis dengan model pemecahan masalah pada mata kuliah fisika kuantum, 2) mengetahui kualitas modul berwawasan konstruktivis dengan model pemecahan masalah pada mata kuliah fisika kuantum menurut ahli materi dan ahli media. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R D dengan model prosedural yang mengadaptasi prosedur pengembangan perangkat model 4-D yakni define, design, develop dan disseminate. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala penilaian kualitas modul menggunakan skala Likert yang dibuat dalam bentuk checlist. Subjek penilaian kualitas modul adalah dua orang ahli materi dan dua orang ahli media. Data kualitas modul yang diperoleh berupa data kuantitatif yang dikonversikan menurut skala persentase kualitas produk. Hasil penelitian ini antara lain: 1) telah dihasilkan modul fisika berbasis konstruktivis dengan pemecahan masalah pada mata kuliah fisika kuantum; dan 2) kualitas modul fisika berbasis konstruktivis dengan pemecahan masalah pada mata kuliah fisika kuantum berdasarkan ahli materi adalah sangat baik (B) dengan persentase 76,13% dan berdasarkan ahli media dengan persentase 78,38%.Kata Kunci: modul fisika kuantum, R D, konstruktivis.

Abstract

Abstract To be a good teacher, physical education students should be actively involved in the learning process, but until now the students have not been involved actively. This research was aimed to know the effect modules of constructivist based for mathematical ability and concept student in quantum physics. This study used an experimental method. The population is all students of physical education IKIP-PGRI Pontianak sixth semester of the academic year 2014-2015, consist of three class. Samples were taken at random cluster sampling technique number two classes. Experimental class with constructivist module and the other class with conventional module. Data mastery of concepts and mathematical abilities were measured using a test technique. Hypothesis testing using Kruskal Wallis test contained in SPSS. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that: (1) there is the effect of the use of module based constructivist against mastery of concept of the student where the average mastery of concepts students acquire learning using module-based inquiry was higher than students who acquire learning by using conventional module, (2) there is the effect of high and low mathematical ability to mastery of concepts students and (3) there is interaction between the use of constructivist-based module with a mathematical ability to mastery of concepts students. Keywords: Module, constructivist, mastery of concepts, mathematical ability Abstrak Untuk menjadi guru yang baik, mahasiswa pendidikan fisika harus terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, namun sampai sekarang mahasiswa belum terlibat secara aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan modul berbasis konstruktivis, kemampuan matematik mahasiswa dan interaksinya terhadap penguasaan konsep mahasiswa pada mata kuliah fisika kuantum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester enam IKIP PGRI Pontianak tahun akademik 2014-2015, sejumlah tiga kelas. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling sejumlah dua kelas. Satu kelas eksperimen 1 dengan modul konstruktivis dan satu kelas eksperimen 2 dengan modul konvensional. Data penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan matematik diukur menggunakan teknik tes. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis yang terdapat pada program SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan modul berbasis konstruktivis terhadap pengusaan konsep mahasiswa dimana rata-rata penguasaan konsep mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan modul berbasis inkuiri lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul konvensional, (2) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan matematik tinggi dan rendah terhadap penguasaan konsep mahasiswa dan (3) terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan modul berbasis konstruktivis dengan kemampuan matematik terhadap penguasaan konsep mahasiswa. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the ability of higher order thinking students in solving the problem of the concept of optics after given the learning with problem-based learning model. This research uses a descriptive method with quantitative approach. The subjects of the research are students of the second semester of physics education study program, amounting to 19 people. Data collection techniques used are two tier multiple choice shaped test consisting of eight questions include the level of analyzing, evaluating and creating. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the ability of high-level thinking of students in optical learning has enough categories with the following details: (1) The percentage of students who have excellent high-level thinking skills is 15.79%, good category of 31.58%, enough category of 42.11%, and category less than 10.53%; (2) The percentage of student ability in answer about level of analyze equal to 68.42%, student ability in answer about evaluation level 57.89% and equal to 53.51% for student ability in answer level question create. Keywords: higher order thinking, optics, problem-based learning model Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa (higher order thinking) dalam menyelesaikan soal konsep optika setelah diberikan pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa semester II program studi pendidikan fisika yang berjumlah 19 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes berbentuk two tier multiple choice yang terdiri dari delapan soal meliputi tingkatan menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan mencipta. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran optika memiliki kategori cukup dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) Persentase mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi kategori sangat baik adalah sebesar 15,79%, kategori baik sebesar 31,58%, kategori cukup sebesar 42,11%, dan kategori kurang sebesar 10,53%; (2) Persentase kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menjawab soal tingkatan menganalisis sebesar 68,42%, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menjawab soal tingkatan mengevaluasi sebesar 57,89% dan sebesar 53,51% untuk kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menjawab soal tingkatan mencipta. Abstract

This study aims to 1) produce a HOTS assessment instrument; 2) knowing the quality of the test instrument in terms of the feasibility of construction, material feasibility, and language feasibility according to the expert; and 3) knowing the quality of the test items in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level and distinguishing power based on the test results. Research and Development were used as a research method with 4D procedural development model consists of four stages, namely: the define stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The questionnaire was used for expert judgment validation. The characteristics measurement of the HOTS items instrument including the validity, reliability, difficulty level, and distinguishing power of the questions. The HOTS assessment instrument developed was in the form of multiple-choice options with a reason based on HOTS in aspects of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The results of expert validation show that the average item with criteria is very good in terms of content, construct, and language aspects. Instruments that have been validated and revised were tested on students who had studied vibration and wave material and the test results showed that 77% of the questions developed were of good quality with valid criteria, good distinguishing criteria, level of difficulty at moderate and easy levels and very strong reliability so that feasible and ready to be used to measure students' higher-order thinking skills in vibrations and waves material.Keywords: HOTS, Instruments test, Vibrations, and wavesDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v9.n1.202108
