Abstract

Coronavirus disease-19 (Covid-19) adalah penyakit yang memberikan resiko kematian yang sangat tinggi. Alternatif pencegahan adalah dengan konsumsi susu kedelai berempah karena dapat meningkatkan imun dan kaya antioksidan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (1) memberikan pengetahuan tentang Covid-19 dan cara penanggulangannya, (2) memberikan keterampilan pembuatan sari kedelai berempah, dan (3) melakukan sosialisasi produk kepada masyarakat oleh peserta latih. Metode pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dan diunggah melalui youtube https://youtu.be/mb_6H2biczA, dilanjutkan praktek mandiri dan sosialisasi produk hasil praktek mandiri kepada masyarakat sekitar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta latih memberikan respon bahwa materi pengetahuan tentang Covid-19 dan cara pembuatan sari kedelai adalah penting dan cara penyajiannya sangat menarik. Sebanyak 86.7 % peserta menyatakan bahwa materi adalah baru, dan 60% peserta menjawab akan mempraktekkan hasil pelatihan. Satu orang peserta telah mampu menginisiasi tetangganya untuk berwirausaha dan telah menerima pesanan. Sebanyak 86.7 % peserta latih telah melakukan sosialisasi kepada keluarga (46.7%), tetangga (33.3%) dan teman kantor  (13.3%). Tanggapan peserta sosialisasi terhadap  produk sari kedelai rempah menyatakan suka (46.7%) sampai sangat suka (53.3%), Respon peserta sosialisasi menyatakan bahwa mereka menyatakan kegiatan ini cukup manfaat (33.3%) hingga sangat manfaat (66.7%) dan 100 % berkeinginan untuk mengetahui pembuatan sari kedelai rempah.Kata Kunci: Covid-19, imunitas, sari kedelai berempah, pelatihan

Abstract

Virus Corona ini telah melanda sekitar 152 negara di dunia yang tersebar di semua benua termasuk negara Indonesia. Propinsi Jawa Timur menempati urutan tertinggi jumlah positip Covid 19 dan dikategorikan dalam zona merah di 32 kota dan kabupaten termasuk Tuban. Pencegahan penyebaran virus corona dapat dilakukan dengan cara menjaga jarak aman, menggunakan masker dan mencuci tangan dengan air mengalir atau menggunakan sabun. Sabun cuci tangan mengandung bahan antiseptic yang dapat membunuh virus. Universitas Negeri Surabaya mempunyai potensi dosen-dosen yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk membuat sabun cuci tangan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membuat sabun cuci tangan untuk memutus rantai penyebaran Covid 19 khususnya di Kabupaten Tuban. Telah berhasil memproduksi sabun cuci tangan kemasan 500 mL sebanyak 500 buah dan telah diserahkan ke Kabupaten Tuban melalui Unit Crisis Center Unesa. Bantuan diterima oleh Bupati Tuban dan didistribusikan ke masyarakat Tuban yang membutuhkan. Kata Kunci: sabun cuci tangan, Covid-19, Tuban

Abstract

Intention of activity of this Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PKM) is to conduct activity of training and is adjacent of partner Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) in developing the effort shallot fry. Partner during the time have run the effort shallot fry traditionally, yielded to be product to be sold to whole sale. Special goals to be got by partner are skilled way of making shallot fry which with quality evaluated from health side and competent sell. Owning knowledge and earn system applied of management marketing and its business activity, owning good packaging and also have permission legality of is effort. Efektivity and of optimalization of program through giving of training and adjacent in making of shallot fry, giving training of managemen of marketing, assisting to make packaging desain and manage permission legality is effort. Results of this activity indicate that partner very enthusiastic followed of training phase and is adjacent effort which is conducted. Partner feel to like because its effort permission of its fair to middling quality of goodness, its legality also have fufilled big sebagain so that partner feel balmy to run the effort. Ability to produce shallot fry to be expected increasing so that will push society create employment and improving economics and production.

Abstract

Hydroxyapatite is one of the materials as a source of calcium and phosphate in the tooth remineralization process. Several studies have shown that hydroxyapatite produces strong antibacterial activity against caries-causing bacteria. Dental caries are one of the tooth scrapings suffered by many people. Dental caries are caused by Streptococcus mutans. In addition to hydroxyapatite, essential oil derived from cloves also has a good antimicrobial function. The eugenol content in cloves can kill bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. This study aims to determine the results of the physicochemical characterization and antibacterial test of Streptococcus mutans in the clove-hydroxyapatite nanoformulation. This study used a nano-hydroxyapatite-clove test material with various compositions of 0.5 mL, 1 mL, 2 mL, 3 mL, and 4 mL of clove oil, 1% hydroxyapatite, Tween, and propylene glycol. The results of FT-IR characterization showed OH, C-H, C-O, C=O, PO43-, and CO32- functional groups. In PSA testing, the smallest size is indicated by the variation in the composition of 1ml clove oil, which is 16.07nm. The measurement of the antibacterial activity test showed that the hydroxyapatite-clove nanoformulation was able to inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria, with normally distributed data (p=0,05) and produce a significant probability,000 (p<0,05).

Abstract

Dental caries is a common oral disease and the main bacteria causing it is Streptococcus mutans. Hydroxyapatite is a material consisting of calcium and phosphate components that have dual abilities as remineralizing and antibacterial agents. In addition to hydroxyapatite, phenolic compounds and tannins in green betel leaf extract also have antimicrobial functions. Tannins and phenols act as poisons for microbes by inhibiting the enzyme activity of interfering microbes. The purpose of this study was to determine the physicochemical character and antibacterial activity of Streptococcus mutans from oral hydroxyapatite preparations and green betel leaf extract. In this study, hydroxyapatite and green betel leaf extract were used as oral preparations with variations in the addition of green betel leaf extract 0.1; 0.3; 0.5; 0.7 and 1 gram. The results of the FTIR analysis explain the absorption bands of the functional groups PO43-, OH and CO32- from hydroxyapatite, as well as the C=O and C-O groups from green betel leaf extract which have shifted the wave number, indicating that there has been a bond between hydroxyapatite and metabolite compounds in betel leaf extract. green. In PSA testing, the smallest particle size was indicated by the variation of hydroxyapatite composite and 0,3 gram green betel leaf extract, which was 690.08 nm. Testing the antibacterial activity of the hydroxyapatite-green betel leaf extract composite showed inhibitory activity against Streptococcus mutans bacteri.

Abstract

The formation of dental caries is the result of the activity of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Various attempts have been done to prevent dental caries. One of them is using oral preparations containing antibacterial compounds Hydroxyapatite-NanoSilver which is an active ingredient that can provide antimicrobial effects to prevent dental caries. This study aims to synthesize and characterize nanosilver hydroxyapatite as an antibacterial that causes dental caries. Physicochemical characterization and antibacterial test towards Streptococcus mutans bacteria with the active ingredient hydroxyapatite-nanosilver. In this study, hydroxyapatite-nanosilver materials with variations in nanosilver concentration of 4 ppm were used; 7 ppm; 10 ppm; 13 ppm; and 15 ppm. The results of FT-IR characterization showed the functional groups O-H, C=O, CO32-, and PO43-. The results of the PSA test showed that the hydroxyapatite-nanosilver formulation with a concentration of 10 ppm had the smallest nanoparticle size of 80.89 nm. Measurement of antibacterial activity test showed that the hydroxyapatite-nanosilver formulation was able to inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. The highest diameter of resistance to the growth of mutant Streptococcus bacteria in hydroxyapatite-nanosilver formulations is 22.5 mm at a nanosilver concentration of 4 ppm.

Abstract

A basic investigation on the removal of Mg(II) ion from aqueous solution by chitosan beads was conducted in a batch adsorption system. The influence of different experimental parameters; pH, agitation period and different concentration of Mg(II) ion was evaluated. A pH 7.0 was found to be an optimum pH for Mg(II) adsorption onto chitosan powder and chitosan beads. The Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models were applied to describe the isotherms and isotherm constants for the adsorption of Mg(II) onto chitosan powder and chitosan beads. Results indicated that Mg(II)  uptake could be described by the Langmuir adsorption model. The maximum adsorption capacities of Mg(II) ion onto chitosan powder and chitosan beads were 7.20 and 17.39 mol gâ^’1, respectively. The rate of adsorption Mg(II) on chitosan powder and chitosan beads  were 16.0.10-4 min-1 and  48.00 . 10-4  min-1, respectively.

Abstract

Tulang ayam pada dasarnya memiliki kandungan kalsium yang tinggi, secara umum sumber kalsium yang tinggi dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan hidroksiapatit. Hidroksiapatit (HAP) merupakan merupakan keramik yang bersifat biokompatibel, bioaktif dan bioresorbabel, dimana HAP sering digunakan sebagai material substitusi tulang atau gigi. Pada review ini, membahas tentang potensi tulang ayam digunakan sebagai bahan dasar dalam sintesis hidroksiapatit (HAP) mengenai karakterisasi secara kimia dan fisik untuk mengetahui potensi kelayakan HAP dari tulang ayam sebagai pelapis implan gigi. Gugus fungsional, kristalinitas, ukuran pori dan uji secara in vitro menunjukkan syarat terpenuhinya HAP layak sebagai implant Karakteristik HAP berpotensi memberikan efek yang menguntungkan ketika digunakan sebagai implan gigi atau pelapis implan gigi. Permukaan berpori dari HAP berperan penting dalam memberikan peningkatan interkoneksi mekanis yang mengarah pada fiksasi implan yang kuat.

Abstract

Tulang ikan Baung memiliki komposisi kalsium sebesar 30,93% dengan rendemen sebesar 27,77%. Hidroksiapatit merupakan material yang banyak diaplikasikan secara luas untuk regenerasi tulang, implan tulang dan gigi, serta ortopedi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu kalsinasi tulang ikan Baung menggunakan instrumen XRD dan FTIR. Instrumen XRD digunakan untuk mengetahui karakteristik fisika dan FTIR digunakan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kimia. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode sol-gel, karena mampu meningkatkan kristalinitas dari HAp dan mengatur komposisi, menghasilkan lapisan homogen, efektif dan murni bagi sintesis hidroksiapatit dalam fasa nano. Rendemen yang diperoleh pada proses kalsinasi sebesar 61,8%, 58,5% dan 62%. Hidroksiapatit yang diperoleh kemudian dikaraterisasi kimia menggunakan instrumen FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi PO43- dan CO32- Sedangkan instrumen XRD menunjukkan fasa hidroksiapatit dan fasa pirofosfat Hidroksiapatit dikarakterisasi secara fisika memperoleh derajat kristanilitas sebesar 85,6%, 63,45%, dan 74,24%.

Abstract

A chitinolytic microorganism had been isolated from mud fields in Ketintang Surabaya area by using a minimal media containing 0.4% colloidal chitin. Activity assay is based on released N-acetyl-glucosamine which reacted with 3,5 dinitrosalicyclic acid. Mud fields produce 63 bacterial isolates with chitinase activity (TNH1 – TNH63 isolates). The highest activity was shown by TNH11 isolate with specific activity 1.27 U/mg. TNH11 isolates was Gram negative, rod-cocoid cell, has a colony of yellow, round shape, convex elevation, flat margin and the colony diameter 3–5 mm.
