Abstract

Maos Lor Village is one of 10 villages in Maos Sub-District, Cilacap Regency. The number of small industries is 18 businesses with 61 workers and home industries with 78 businesses with 66 workers. Small industries and home industries in Maos Lor Village are dominated in the food industry. The income of small industries and home industries in Maos Lor Village is not satisfactory because there are obstacles in some production sectors, one of which is production techniques. Simple technology makes the product less attractive and hygienic. This problem is experienced by the food industry in Maos Lor Village, one of which is vegetable donut business. The vegetable donut business managed by Dusun Lancar residents is less productive because it is constrained by the production process. In this community service some problems in the vegetable donut business in Maos Lor Village were overcome by making improvements to the production machinery, so that it was hoped that vegetable donut production could run smoothly and production could increase.

Abstract

This paper discusses about design and development of gimbal smartphone, which are made to be simple and less money consuming by utilizing microcontroller and MPU 6050 sensor. Recently, the development of videography and image processing is inseparable from the rapid advance in smartphone technology. One of the most popular features is camera. Hand movements and shocks cause fewer maximum results. To improve the quality of camera captures and video, it is necessary to have a stabilizer for camera position.  Thus, it is expected that the outcomes of this paper are able to give contribution for cheap gimbal smartphone. Design and implementation of gimbal uses acrylic as the material, with 5 mm of thickness. This MPU 6050 sensor is optimized to detect sway in axis X, Y, and Z or roll, pitch, and yaw. Gyroscope and accelerometer provide input to the microcontroller, which will process for output on 3 servomotors that function to maintain the camera’s position at a specified set point. The results show that MPU 6050 sensor can response angle reading error of 1.34° of roll, 0.25° of pitch, and 0.78° of yaw. Error in maximum servomotor movement is 1.5°. Thus, it can be concluded that gimbal can work optimally with less money consuming as well as low error. It is expected that the next research will add other suitable and accurate control, that is, PID or fuzzy.

Abstract

This paper proposes an improved electricity efficiency method using an infrared sensor and internet of things (IoT). Almost all field of human work require electrical energy, especially for household needs. The averages household has many lamps in each room, so if it is not controlled, it will be wasteful of energy. However, this work is carried out to gain a better understanding of a new method for saving energy. The main advantage of this work is the simplification of the sensor used, in which only the infrared sensor required. Although the proposed approach faces numerous challenges, it successfully provides result as parameters that it can be processed rapidly using low-cost microcontrollers. The idea is based on the microcontroller and internet implementation with infrared sensor to monitor the number of people in home to control the lamp light intensity. The idea is proven in two ways: design and experiment. In this paper, the implementation of Raspberry Pi and Arduino is created to monitor the number of people in room and control the lamp intensity through internet or web. Arduino uses for the sensor processing and Raspberry Pi as server. The web is used to display the monitoring result by retrieving data from database that created using MySQL. The result indicates that the electricity bill decreased between 7.7-8.2% over 2 months implementation. The conclusion of this study suggests that the research in this area could be directed toward to be used in saving electricity usage in human life, especially for household.

Abstract

Pencarian korban pasca terjadinya bencana alam menjadi faktor yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Objek yang mayoritas diperhatikan adalah manusia. Cepat tanggapnya penanganan hal tersebut juga dipengaruhi banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah medan yang rumit dan terisolasi sehingga aksesnya terbatas sehingga banyak korban yang tidak dapat ditangani dalam waktu yang cepat. Jalur udara merupakan alternatif yang dapat dimanfaatkan, yaitu menggunakan Quadcopter yang memungkinkan untuk memantau kondisi lokasi bencana alam melalui kamera sebagai pendeteksi objek menggunakan pengolahan citra dengan kontroler Raspberry Pi 3. Kendali Ardupilot Mega 2.8 terintegrasi dengan Mission Planner sebagai Ground Control Station (GCS) melalui telemetri. Pengujian menghasilkan data image yang didapatkan dengan jarak 1-meter hingga 6-meter dari objek dengan kemampuan mengirimkan data ke GCS sejauh 45 meter.

Abstract

Saat ini, sepeda diakui secara internasional tidak hanya sebagai bentuk rekreasi tetapi juga sebagai sarana transportasi perkotaan dan promotor kesehatan yang baik. Sepeda listrik adalah alat transportasi yang memadukan manfaat dan Kesehatan dari sepeda konvensional dengan keunggulan kendaraan bermotor. Telah kita ketahui juga kendaraan listrik saat pertama kita diberikan tegangan/gas oleh pengemudi terdapat gaya tarik yang kuat atau bisa dikatakan ciri khas dari motor listrik yang mana tarikan tersebut merupakan lonjakan arus yang diberikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatasi lonjakan arus saat starting, lonjakan tersebut berbahaya dikarenakan dapat mengurangi umur pada motor listrik. Peneliti merancang mekanisme soft starting pada motor BLDC (Brushless DC) dengan cara merancang algoritma kontroler logika fuzzy dan pensaklaran enam tahapan pada rangkaian inverter. Hasil menunjukan bahwa lonjakan arus saat starting sebesar 4,42 Ampere. Kecepatan motor BLDC saat throttle full kecepatan menunjukan 332 rpm dengan respon transient masing-masing sistem sebesar 1.5 s. Ketika diberikan set point kecepatan berubah-ubah, putaran motor BLDC dapat mengikuti yaitu sebesar 88 rpm menuju 180 rpm, kemudian naik sebesar 258 rpm dan puncak sebesar 331 rpm, kemudian turn ke 25 rpm dan terakhir sebesar 145.8 rpm. Saat respon transien sistem layaknya seperti sistem step orde dua, tidak ada overshoot tetapi masih ada osilasi saat mau menuju steady state.

Abstract

One of the important aspects in industrial field is a good material handling in logistics. Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) can be an alternative to making an optimal logistics system. A widely used type of AGV based on its navigation system is line follower robot. This paper explains about applying the line follower robot integrated with LabVIEW to implement ultrasonic sensor as a radar to determine an empty space in logistic storage. The utilization of ultrasonic radar makes the searching process of empty space in the storage faster. Meanwhile, LabVIEW interface is used to help the operator to monitor material handling process. The result of the testing showed that ultrasonic sensor reading in Virtual Instrument LabVIEW has a good precision level when the line follower robot moves in a straight path. The error rate was 6,19% compared to the real situation.

Abstract

Lapas Permisan merupakan salah satu dari delapan lapas yang berada di pulau Nusakambangan. Berdasarkan informasi dari kepala lapas permisan bahwa lima puluh persen permasalahan dilapas dapat diminimalisir apabila penghuni lapas diberikan aktifitas-aktifitas yang produktif. Sudah terdapat beberapa sentra kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di lapas permisan diantaranya membuat batik, memodifikasi motor, membuat keset dan kaligrafi/figura. Berdasarkan hasil kunjungan tim Politeknik Negeri Cilacap ke lapas permisan ada banyak kegiatan yang bisa dikembangkan lebih salah satunya adalah figura. Minimnya peminat kaligrafi karena fungsi dari kaligrafi/figura hanya sebagi hiasan saja. Oleh sebab itu, pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pelatihan pembuatan figura yang di integrasikan dengan jam digital dan papan informasi elektronik. Hal ini akan meningkatkan fungsi dan manfaat dari figura/kaligrafi. Konsumen dari produk ini adalah tempat ibadah (masjid). Kegiatan pelatihan yang sudah dilaksanakan berjalan dengan baik terlihat semua peserta dapat mengoperasikan, merakit dan melakukan troubleshooting alat yang telah dibuat. Kata kunci: Lapas permisan, Pigura, Jam digital ABSTRACT Permisan prison is one of eight prisons on the island of Nusakambangan. Based on information from the head of the Permisan prison that fifty percent of problems in prison can be reduced by providing the prison inmates some productive activities. There are already several activity centers carried out in Permisan prisons, such as making batik, motorbikes modification, making doormats and calligraphy / figures. Based on the results of State Polytechnic of Cilacap team visit to the Permisan prison, there are many activities that can be developed, one of them is the calligraphy/figure. The lack of interest in calligraphy because the function of calligraphy / figure is only as decoration. Therefore, in this community service activity, training was carried out in making a figure integrated with a digital clock and electronic information board. This will enhance the function and benefits of the figure / calligraphy. The consumers of this product are places of worship (mosques). Training activity that have been carried out properly shows that all participants can operate, assemble and troubleshoot the device that have been made. Abstract

Tritih Lor is a village at Cilacap that consists of swaps that are formed by ocean tides. Our partner as a fish farmer group at Tritih Lor has utilized the swamp for milkfish cultivation to use a traditional system. There are some troubles on their business like the production is too low because they use a traditional system that relies on natural food from a relic carried away by the tides. Another problem that the fish are gone along the tide when the fish pond breaks. To solve that problem, we use a method of repairing the fish pond, install and arrangement of water intake and aeration systems, installation fence around the fish pond, installation of solar panels, pond fertilization, stocking the pond, and harvesting. The result of this activity is an increase in productivity and a decrease in fish mortality. This semi-intensive tidal swamp aquaculture pond can answer the previous problems of traditional cultivation. This activity also can create more technological-based cultivators, make a better income, and increase the usability of the unused land.

Abstract

Motor induksi telah dimanfaatkan industri sebagai sumber energi mekanik. Motor induksi sangat handal, murah, dan mudah dalam perawatannya. Motor induksi sulit dikendalikan karena salah satu kategori plant nonlinier. Salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk mengatur kecepatan motor induksi adalah mengatur vektornya. Agar motor induksi mudah untuk dikendalikan seperti motor dc penguat terpisah, maka motor induksi dimodelkan dalam referensi sumbu putar (model d-q). Penelitian ini menerapkan skema pengaturan kecepatan motor induksi menggunakan Switching Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM). Sistem ini menghasilkan error steady state rata-rata di bawah 4 (empat) rpm atau sebesar 0,3 % dengan diberi torsi beban antara 5 Nm sampai 35 Nm.
