Abstract

This paper proposes the important issues in signal segmentation. The signal is disturbed by multiplicative noise where the number of segments is unknown. A Bayesian approach is proposed to estimate the parameter. The parameter includes the number of segments, the location of the segment, and the amplitude. The posterior distribution for the parameter does not have a simple equation so that the Bayes estimator is not easily determined. Reversible Jump Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is adopted to overcome the problem. The Reversible Jump MCMC method creates a Markov chain whose distribution is close to the posterior distribution. The performance of the algorithm is shown by simulation data. The result of this simulation shows that the algorithm works well. As an application, the algorithm is used to segment a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) signal. The advantage of this method is that the number of segments, the position of the segment change, and the amplitude are estimated simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the need for problem-based learning (PBL) oriented learning resources to improve student's critical thinking skills. Descriptive qualitative analysis is the research approach used. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was used to use this learning model. Based on the results of interviews and observations, it was found that students had difficulties in learning and teachers did not use LKPD causing the mathematics learning process to not be able to develop students' critical thinking skills. To improve students' critical thinking skills, LKPD needs to use a problem-based learning approach in the learning process.

Abstract

Abad 21, menuntut penggiat pendidikan untuk menyajikan bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan secara mandiri dan mudah untuk di akses peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang media pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, dan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa di MTs N 1 Bangka Barat. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara survey dan menggunakan beberapa studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa siswa masih susah dalam mengaitkan kemampuan yang mereka miliki dengan banyak permasalahan yang ada pada matematika, masalah sosial, dan menerapkan konsep matematika. Media dan metode pembelajaran yang sudah digunakan belum dapat merangsang literasi matematika siswa.

Abstract

The skills that students must have in solving a problem are mathematical problem solving skills. This is important in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. when students find it difficult to solve HOTS type questions because they still have low problem solving abilities. In the development of thinking patterns, students have very influential problem solving abilities. In the 21st century, what students need is the ability to solve problems. the method used is a qualitative description. Then the object of this research is the teacher and students of MTs Ma'arif Pajaresuk level VIII. The object used is the ability to solve a problem, the learning model and learning resources used by the school. The aim is to analyze the needs of the student worksheet to support the PBL model in improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The results obtained in this study are students have low abilities in solving math problems and the media and learning models used have not been able to develop these abilities. so it is necessary to use the PBL model LKPD

Abstract

Problem-solving in mathematical ability is the ability to solve a problem in stages, understand a problem, look for settlement strategies, carry out strategies and check the results of the strategies used. Problem-solving is very necessary in the current revolution era because it is very important. Some students have very low problem-solving skills in dealing with essay questions. In matters of describing students' thinking patterns, it is very influential when working on the description problems themselves or in the real world. These days, matters of description in everyday life are very important and very much needed. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research in which class X Mathematics of specialization at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta is the subject of this study. The object of this research includes the problem description problem skills, learning models during class, and learning resources used by students. The purpose of this research is to analyze the needs of MODUL to improve the problem description problem skills of students. The result of this research is that the ability to work on essay questions is still low. Learning resources and models used in learning that need to be developed. So that we need MODUL which aims to improve mathematical abilities in the problem description of the students.

Abstract

Learning media using moodle-based e-learning is a dynamic web-based learning platform with an interactive online course management system and creates a personalized learning environment. Online learning activities carried out by teachers still use the same method when direct learning, especially in mathematics subjects that are classified as abstract. This study aims to analyze the needs of student learning tools during a pandemic like this time, which is being held for junior high school students. This research is a descriptive survey method. In this study, the data techniques used were non-test observation and interview techniques. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The instrument used in this study used interview sheets which were managed on some research samples and used literature studies, which were conducted on several junior high school students and mathematics teachers as samples. The results of this study indicate that the existence of online learning as it is today has resulted in a surge in internet users and is dominated by junior high school education. Teachers admit that they are not ready to carry out online learning, so most teachers teach only by providing materials and assignments to students. With this learning style, the concept of understanding students is still in doubt, so there is a need for learning media that can make a medium for students to learn online.

Abstract

The subset polynomial regression model is wider than the polynomial regression model. This study proposes an estimate of the parameters of the subset polynomial regression model with unknown error and distribution. The Bootstrap method is used to estimate the parameters of the subset polynomial regression model. Simulated data is used to test the performance of the Bootstrap method. The test results show that the bootstrap method can estimate well the parameters of the subset polynomial regression model.

Abstract

Clustering is a method of the grouping which is done by looking at the similarities between data in a data set. Fuzzy clustering is a clustering method that uses fuzzy set membership values as the basis for grouping data. Fuzzy Subtractive Clutering (FSC) is a fuzzy clustering method where the number of clusters to be formed is unknown. The concept of FSC is to determine the highest data density and the data with the most number of neighbors will be selected as the center of the cluster. Thus, the size of the proximity or distance between points is needed to determine the members of each cluster. The distance used in this study is a combination of the Minkowski and Chebyshev distances. The number of clusters formed will be evaluated using the Partition Coefficient (PC) value where the highest PC value indicates the best number of clusters. The results obtained indicate that the best clusters are three clusters with a PC value of 0.7422

Abstract

Fungsi dan peran Perguruan Tinggi tidak hanya ketika mahasiswa masih aktif dalam perkuliahan atau sebelum lulus. Namun, setelah menjadi alumni, Perguruan Tinggi masih diperlukan layanan dan kontribusinya, diantaranya dalam melakukan verifikasi dan legalisasi dokumen yang dikeluarkannya, terutama ijazah dan transkip akademik. Di FKIP khususnya, dan lebih luas lagi di Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, sistem layanan legalisasi ijazah dan tanskrip akademik masih bersifat konvensional, yaitu layanan hanya dapat dilakukan on site (ditempat) dan belum tentu dapat diselesaikan secara cepat seperti yang diharapkan. Sehingga, alumni harus datang lebih dari sekali secara langsung ke tempat layanan untuk melakukan legalisasi ijazah dan transkrip akademik. Tentu saja hal ini mengakibatkan terjadi pemborosan dalam hal waktu dan biaya yang dikeluarkan, terlebih bagi alumni yang tinggal jauh dari kampus/luar kota. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem alternatif yang mampu memberikan solusi permasalahan dimaksud. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan website sebagai media layanan legalisir ijazah dan transkrip akademik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan telaah dokumen yang ada. Sedangkan, metode pengembangan sistem yang akan digunakan dalam adalah metode prototype. Metode prototype, lebih berorientasi pada kepuasan pengguna. Oleh karena itu, selama proses sistem dikerjakan terus terjadi interaksi antar pengguna dan developer agar sistem yang dibangun benar-benar mampu menjawab permasalahan yang ada. Hasil dari penelitian yang diuraikan dalam naskah ini berupa perancangan sistem online sebagai media layanan alumni untuk keperluan legalisasi copy ijazah dan transkripakademik, yang terdiri dari desain basis data dan desain sistem menggunakan Unified Moedelling Language, serta perancangan antar muka halaman utama sistem layanan online (SILON) legalisir ijazah dan transkrip akademik.Kata Kunci : ijazah, layanan online, legalisir, transkrip akademik, website, SILON.

Abstract

High order thinking skill (HOTS)-oriented PBL learning model emphasizes the use of real problems that can entice students to think high-level in solving problems. This study aims to find more effective learning between mathematics learning using the HOTS-oriented PBL model with mathematics learning using the direct model of mathematics learning outcomes. This study population was all students of class X Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Light Vehicle Engineering 1 Bambanglipuro ( SMK 1 Muhammadiyah Bambanglipuro) academic year 2017/2018, which amounted to 184 students. Samples taken by two classes using the Random Sampling technique, obtained class X Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) F as control class and class X TKR E as experiment class. The technique of collecting data using the test method. Instrument testing uses validity test and reliability test. The data analysis technique used for the prerequisite test is the normality test with Chi-Square and homogeneity test with the F test formula, while for hypothesis test with t-test. The results showed that at a 5% significant level and dk = 56, it was concluded that        (1) there was a difference in mathematics learning results among students whose learning using HOTS-oriented PBL model with students using a direct model. This is indicated by the value = 2,8166 >   = 2,0045. (2) Mathematics learning using the HOTS-oriented PBL model is more effective than mathematics learning using a direct model of mathematics learning result. This is shown by  = 2,8166 >  = 1,6733.
