Abstract

This article aims to understand the practice of empowering leadership, which is more specific on the theme of determining the direction of pesantren. The aspects studied are: 1) creating a vision; 2) describes the big picture; and 3) establishing a strategy. The investigation was carried out in the form of critical ethnography, where data were obtained through a process of observation, interviews, and document review. Data analysis was carried out through the description, analysis, and interpretation stages. This study found that: Empowering Leadership in the context of determining the direction of the organization at PM Gontor 7 Putera is a process of determining the vision and mission, explaining the big picture, and setting strategy. The roles carried out include being a strategic architect who defines PM Gontor's vision and mission, through internal and external environmental analysis, guarding a shared vision, overseeing the process of achieving a common vision at the functional level, as a figure who transforms strategy, who carries out the strategic communication process and makes appropriate measures, aligning strategies, to implementation. This research suggests the importance of building empowering leadership, having a strong vision, understanding internal and external dynamics, all of which can be formulated in an organizational strategy.Keywords: Leadership, Empowerment, Vision, Strategy

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pada bidang Administrasi Umum dan Keuangan Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) merupakan salah satu cara untuk mewujudkan target dari Rencana Strategis (Renstra) UNJ guna menghadapi tantangan perkembangan dunia pendidikan di masa depan dan tuntutan dari stakeholders. Peningkatan kualitas dilakukan dengan cara mengevaluasi capaian target dari masing-masing rencana kerja pada Bidang Administrasi Umum dan Keuangan, khususnya perihal kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia, serta pengelolaan Sarana dan Prasarana di UNJ. Penelitian dilakukan di lingkungan PR II UNJ yang meliputi unit kerja BAUK dan BAPSI berdasarkan gagasan Nee mengenai new sociology economics institutionalism. Gagasan tersebut membagi mekanisme integrasi hubungan formal dan informal pada setiap level kausal, yakni pada tataran mikro (individu) yang dijelaskan sebagai sistem jaringan elemen dalam unit kerja pada penelitian, tataran messo (kelompok ataupun organisasi) yang dijelaskan sebagai bentuk tata kelola unit kerja pada penelitian, dan tataran makro berupa lingkungan kebijakan (policy environment) yang dijelaskan sebagai proses perumusan implementasi kebijakan unit kerja oleh pihak rektorat dalam penelitian. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui 7 tahapan sesuai pendekatan metode Soft System Methodology (SSM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada level makro, dalam melaksanakan tugasnya unit kerja bidang administrasi umum dan keuangan selalu melibatkan setiap elemen yang terdapat pada unit kerja ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari proses belajar mengajar dari masing-masing fakultas. Proses perumusan kebijakan yang dilakukan sudah sesuai dengan pendekatan Renstra, yakni harus sistemik, imajinatif, dan tidak terikat oleh kontinuetas kegiatan yang telah lalu. Sedangkan, pada level messo, dalam pelaksanaan proses tata kelola, para staf dalam unit ini masih mendapatkan masalah. Masalah yang terjadi terkait masalah akuntabilitas dan keterampilan Sumber Daya Manusia. Pada level mikro, setiap elemen memiliki tata perilaku, norma, kebiasaan, peraturan formal maupun informal dalam melakukan eksekusi setiap rumusan kebijakan yang telah dibuat oleh unit kerja ini. Namun, masih ditemukan masalah sistem jaringan yang menyulitkan bagi setiap elemen pada unit kerja ini. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa bentuk transformasi yang telah dilakukan oleh pihak Universitas Negeri Jakarta adalah dengan melakukan penguatan kelembagaan dalam hal tata kelola setiap unit kerja yang ada di universitas, termasuk dalam unit kerja bidang administrasi umum dan keuangan. Proses penguatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan perubahan bentuk tata kelola setiap unit kerja. Penguatan ini dilakukan dengan cara merubah standar tata kelola berdasarkan pada rancangan tata kerja dan organisasi badan layanan umum.

Abstract

Quality Assurance System is a management system to direct and control an organization/institution in determining policies, targets, plans and quality processes/procedures and their continuous achievement. The Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University (FE-UNJ) is one of the institutions that has implemented the ISO 9001: 2015 standard in Higher Education striving to maintain and maintain the quality improvement consistency in all aspects. The 3 Main Components in Quality Management are: Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement. Management. Quality Management uses controls and guarantees for the product process to achieve quality more consistently. The basic pattern of quality management systems (ISO 9001: 2015) is what we will do and after we write (planning and reporting) and what we write we do is better known as the P-D-C-A pattern (Plan - Do - Check - Action). The concept of quality control is the basis for assessing the results to be achieved in the context of meeting customer needs and satisfaction.

Abstract

Distance learning is a solution to the conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic so that the educational process remains organized and productive. The purpose of the study was to obtain the results of the evaluation of distance learning at SMP Negeri Jakarta. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques consist of observation, documentation, and interviews. The data collection process includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the study show that the implementation of distance learning still faces technical and non-technical obstacles, such as the readiness of facilities and infrastructure, teaching materials, readiness of students and parents in providing internet networks, pedagogical and professional competencies of teachers that are relevant to knowledge and technological advances. However, overall, distance learning activities have had a significant impact on the achievement of educational goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain the results of the evaluation of the input for the GGD program related to the participants, the committee, and the GGD technical guidance. The research method is descriptive qualitative because this research wants to get input information from the GGD program policies. Data collection techniques used open interviews, documents, and documentation studies. Data sources are the GTK Directorate, Kemdikbud, Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture's HR Bureau, the GGD committee. The data analysis technique used data triangulation. The results of the study concluded that the GGD participants had followed a series of procedures stipulated in the GGD policies, the committee had set requirements according to the needs of the GGD implementation, and technical guidance was provided so that the GGD participants were ready to work in the 3T areas. All the resources involved in the GGD program, from the central to the participating regions, did this program well. The results of the study recommended providing activities that can improve the professionalism of GGD participants

Abstract

The uptake of students in state universities is the responsibility of teachers and schools in guiding them. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to find information related to teacher guidance for students to enter college. The research approach is qualitative through a survey. Data were collected through interviews, documents, and questionnaires. The data analysis process includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that the data on student absorption in higher education during the last two years had increased. It provides an overview of the leading role of teachers in guiding students to enter college. From the questionnaire data, it can be seen that the data results support the increase in the number of students entering higher education. The results of this study can also be used as a reference for schools in developing guidance programs for students entering college.

Abstract

The government formed the Education Board to ensure the implementation of a democratic and quality education policy through community involvement as education stakeholders. By examining the achievement of the objectives of the establishment of the Education Board, this study wanted to see how the Education Board contributed to improving the quality of Education services in Cirebon District. This research was conducted qualitatively in 2019 with the method of data collection through in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and document studies. The results showed that the Board of Education had not yet optimally contributed. The general public does not understand the existence of the Board of Education. Community participation in education that should be optimized through the School Committee has also not been optimally touched. Collaboration with industry has not been established so that the involvement of the Industrial Business World in the development of Education has not been optimal. The absence of rules regarding budget allocations for the implementation of the Education Board activities, resulting in the Education Board unable to work optimally.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) jenis stres yang dialami sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Sumenep Madura; (2) penyebab stres dan (3) manajemen stres. Pendekatan yang dilakukan peneliti adalah penelitian kualitatif. Validitas data atau pengecekan keabsahan data yang telah dikumpulkan dilakukan melalui: (1) perpanjangan penelitian lapangan; (2) ketekunan pengamatan; dan (3) triangulasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa ada beberapa gejala yang dialami seseorang yang menunjukkan stres. Adapun gejala tersebut antara lain: (1) fisiologis; (2) psikologis; dan (3) gejala perilaku. Penyebab stres yang dialami guru antara lain: (1) ketidakpastian lingkungan yang dialami guru adalah ketidakpastian ekonomi dan teknologi; (2) organisasional, dimana guru mengalami masalah dalam menuntut tugas; dan (3) faktor personal, dalam hal ini guru mengalami permasalahan dalam ekonomi personal dan kepribadiannya. Upaya mengatasi stres guru dapat dilakukan dengan diskusi dan sharing dengan teman sejawat mengenai kesulitan yang mereka alami. Satu hal yang terpenting guru selalu menanamkan hal positif dalam dirinya. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ada beberapa gejala yang dialami oleh seseorang yang menunjukkan stres. Penyebab stres yang dialami oleh guru juga bermacam-macam. Dengan demikian upaya yang dapat mengatasinya juga bermacam-macam tergantung pada apa penyebabnya dan jenis stres yang dialami.Kata Kunci: Manajemen; Stress; Guru

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the level of interest of vocational school teachers in the implementation of the competency certification program organized by the National Professional Certification Agency. Moreover, this competency certification is part of what is required in the era of globalization to produce quality graduates. This study uses a qualitative approach with a survey method. This research was conducted at a vocational school in Bekasi. Data was collected using interviews, documents, and questionnaires. The data analysis process uses the Miles and Huberman model through the process of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and triangulation. The results of the study concluded that there were 40% of schools encouraged teachers to take part in competency certification test training. Teachers need competency improvement activities such as training in mastery of competency certification test materials and also difficulties in keeping up with all developments in knowledge and technology. The table data shows that there are 60% of teachers interested in competency certification and desire to take the competency certification test.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of instructional leadership and procedural justice on citizenship behavior. The study was conducted at Lebak vocational high school by using a survey method with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis and 118 samples selected by simple random sampling. The finding of the research are. (1) Instructional leadership has a direct positive effect on procedural justice. (2) Procedural justice has a direct positive effect on citizenship behavior. (3) Instructional leadership has a direct positive effect on citizenship behavior, (4) Instructional leadership has a indirect effect on citizenship behavior through procedural justice. Based on the findings in this study, it could be concluded that the influence of the instructional leadership and procedural justice are the important factors to influence teacher citizenship behavior.
