Abstract

The prevalence of adolescent obesity has been shown to differ among regions, and it could be influenced by several factors including diet, environmental exposures, and lifestyle. Diet is one of crucial factors that contribute to obesity among adolescents, particularly energy intake. This study was conducted to measure the relationship between energy intake and obesity prevalence among adolescent girls in Aceh Barat Regency. This study is a descriptive analytical research with the design of cross-sectional study. The population in this study were adolescent girls in Aceh Barat Regency with the samples of 50 people. The data were obtained from a one day 24-hour recall and analyzed using Chi-Square test with a significance value (p= 0.05). The result showed that based on bivariate analysis there is a relationship between energy intake and body mass index. The analysis indicated that adolescent girls with excessive energy intake had a 6.67-fold higher risk of obesity than those with the adequate energy intake (OR: 6.67, 95% CI: 1.25-35.65).

Abstract

One of the fried food processed products that are often found in roadside fried sellers is tempeh. This study aims to study the effect of CMC addition on the results of coating pick-up dan frying loss of fried battered tempeh. Hydrocolloids used were carboxyl methylcellulose (CMC) and pectin with concentrations of addition to the batter as much as 0.3%, 0.5%, 1% of the overall weight of the mixture. Temperature and tempeh frying time is at a temperature of 180oC and for 6 minutes. The results showed fried battered tempeh with the addition of CMC to its batters has good quality measured from the percentage of coating pick-up samples.

Abstract

Scurrula ferruginea (Jack) Danser from Loranthaceae is one such mistletoe that grow in tropical countries and has been used as therapeutic agent for curing of diseases, such as anticancer, antihypertensive, antiviral, antimicrobial, antiasthma, anti-hyperglycemic, and analgesic. Regardless of S. ferruginea various kinds of health benefits, their available data and literature review are still limited, especially in Indonesia. The scientific studies existence in this review can promote the potency development of S.ferruginea. We suggest critical future opportunities and research directions of S.ferruginea that could improve understanding toward evidence-based medicinal herbs.

Abstract

Jamblang (Syzygium cumini L.) telah banyak dieksplorasi dalam dunia pangan dan farmasi di berbagai negara, karena karakteristik buah dan banyaknya manfaat kesehatan yang dimilikinya. Di Aceh, pemanfaatan tanaman jamblang masih sangat terbatas dan sebagian besar hanya dikonsumsi dalam bentuk segar, pemanfaatan lain dari tumbuhan ini belum banyak diketahui masyarakat akibat terbatasnya penelitian terkait tumbuhan ini di Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil studi literasi yang dilakukan dalam kajian ini, di berbagai negara, jamblang telah banyak dimanfaatkan dalam pengolahan pangan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomis, memperpanjang masa simpan, dan meningkatkan diversifikasi pangan, seperti produk jus, sirup, squash, selai, dan bubuk instan yang dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna alami. Selain itu, telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai manfaat jamblang dalam penanganan berbagai macam penyakit, antara lain antibakteri, antikanker, antidiabetes, dan antihipertensi. Mekanisme tanaman jamblang dalam pengobatan yang telah dilaporkan, yaitu komponen bioaktif  dalam jamblang mengaktivasi  enzim-enzim katalase, glutathione peroksidase, glutathione-s-transferase dan SOD untuk menetralisir produksi radikal bebas yang  berlebih. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu acuan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan penelitian dan pemanfaatan jamblang di Aceh khususnya dan di Indonesia pada masa mendatang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the mineral content, phenolic content, antioxidant activity, and soluble protein of Lumi-lumi fish meal (Harpodon nehereus) treated with and non-steamed for 30 min. The results revealed that iron (Fe) mineral content was significantly higher in the steamed than non-steamed treatment but not in calcium (Ca). However, there was a decrease in the minerals magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), and zinc (Zn) during the steamed process, which was not significant. Then, during steamed, there was a significant decrease in antioxidant activity but not in total soluble protein, whereas phenolic content increased. Based on the findings of this study, Lumi-lumi fish (Harpodon nehereus) meal steamed treatment could be the best treatment because it contained the best phenolic and Fe and Ca minerals.

Abstract

Referring to Aceh Qanun Number 8 of 2013 concerning Tourism, the implementation of Aceh tourism is based on faith and Islam or known as halal tourism. Regency/city governments are given the authority to regulate the implementation and management of tourism in their respective regions, including West Aceh district. This study aims to analyze the implementation of halal tourism policies in West Aceh district. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation studies. There were 9 informants in this study who came from the Tourism, Youth and Sports Office of West Aceh Regency, Tourism Awareness Groups, Tourists and West Aceh Tourism Ambassadors in 2021. The results of the study show that the implementation of the halal tourism policy has been running quite optimally. Communications is carried out by building coordination with related agencies. Resources are still relatively minimal, both Human Resources and Financial Resources. Furthermore, there has been an attitude from the government in pursuing halal tourism practices. This can be seen from the provision of halal tourism facilities and infrastructure and the sanctions given to violators (Disposition). Regarding the bureaucratic structure, the policy is still guided by the Aceh Qanun Number 8 of 2013 concerning TourismMerujuk pada Qanun Aceh Nomor 8 Tahun 2013 tentang Kepariwisataan, penyelenggaraan pariwisata Aceh didasarkan pada akidah dan Islam atau dikenal dengan istilah wisata halal.  Pemerintah kabupaten/kota diberi kewenangan untuk mengatur penyelenggaraan dan pengelolaan kepariwisataan di daerahnya masing-masing termasuk kabupaten Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kebijakan wisata halal di kabupaten Aceh Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 9 orang yang berasal dari Dinas Pariwisata, Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Kelompok Sadar Wisata, Wisatawan dan Duta Wisata Aceh Barat tahun 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan wisata halal sudah berjalan dengan cukup maksimal. Communications dilakukan dengan membangun koordinasi bersama dinas-dinas terkait. Resources yang tersedia masih tergolong minim, baik itu Sumber Daya Manusia maupun Sumber Daya Finansial. Selanjutnya sudah adanya sikap dari pemerintah dalam mengupayakan praktik wisata halal. Hal tersebut terlihat dari penyediaan sarana dan prasarana wisata halal serta adanya sanksi yang diberikan kepada pelanggar (Disposition).  Terkait dengan bureaucratic structure, kebijakan masih berpedoman pada Qanun Aceh Nomor 8 Tahun 2013 tentang Kepariwisataan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors causing the low literacy understanding of children in remote villages in West Aceh. This research uses qualitative analysis with descPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor penyebab rendahnya pemahaman literasi anak di desa terpencil di Aceh Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Kualitatif dengan pendekatan Case study, dengan teknik pengumpulan data purposive sampling, responden berjumlah Enam Orang dalam tahapan pengambilan informasi dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penyebab faktor rendahnya pemahamanan tentang literasi terhadap anak karena kurangnya kesadaran orang tua tentang pentingnya pendidikan, kekurangan tenaga pengajar, rendahnya kemampuan literasi, sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai, dan kurangnya keterlibatan masyarakat. Untuk mencapai peningkatan literasi anak yang tinggi di daerah terpencil seperti Gampong Lancong, perlu menjadi perhatian untuk pemerintah mulai dari kebijakan maupun sarana dan prasarana lebih untuk ditingkatkan lagi, karena anak-anak adalah asset negara untuk masa depan dan kemajuan negara. Jika anak-anak muda negara sudah enggan belajar maka terjajah lah pola fikir mereka. Sementara untuk pemerintah daerah setempat wajib untuk memperhatikan lagi keadaan sekolah-sekolah terpencil agar tidak terjadi lagi kedepanya anak-anak yang awam dengan literasi, salah satunya cara seperti: kebijakan setiap gampong membuat kelas belajar sore untuk anak kemudian lebih banyak lagi menyumbangkan buku-buku pelajaran untuk mereka sehingga mereka juga bias belajar dari rumah. Menciptakan setiap sekolah terpencil perpustakaan yang nyaman dan disukai anak-anak sehingga tertanam rasa ingin tahu mereka terhadap buku-buku yang terpajang didalamnya. Serta untuk setiap kampus yang ada di Aceh Barat lebih focus mengirimkan mahasiswa yang ada untuk ikut berpartisipasi dan membantu anak-anak agar semangat belajar, membaca dan mencintai dunia literasi.riptive method, which means that this descriptive approach can analyze deeper meaning related to qualitative research. The main technique used is gathering information from interviews along with additional support. Researchers use methods such as validation, reduction, and presentation of data to draw conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the factors causing the low literacy understanding of children in remote villages in West Aceh are a lack of awareness of parents, a shortage of teaching staff, low literacy skills, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and lack of public involvement. In order to achieve a high increase in children's literacy in remote areas such as Gampong Lancong, it is necessary to pay attention to the government both from policies and facilities and infrastructure, such as: a policy for each Gampong to make afternoon teaching classes for children. In terms of facilities and infrastructure: Reading books, children's recreation building, literacy center. Assistance and attention that should be increased. College. Assign KKN students to serve in gampongs with low levels of human resources.

Abstract

This article discussed stunting reporting in Aceh within the framework of local media. This study aims to further examine how the local mass media constructs stunting cases in Aceh and how the trend towards emphasizing the reality of stunting is framed in the news texts. The information in this study was derived from daily stunting reports in Indonesia's Serambi region in 2021. The cases of stunting that occurred in Aceh were the subject of this study. The data collection technique was carried out by observing texts on the Serambi Indonesia Daily throughout 2021. There were 37 reports on stunting, and then the researchers selected 12 reports that were deemed relevant and representative of the research problems and themes. From the results of the analysis, two major environmental areas are identified, namely: 1) the Stunting Issues Reporting Map, which has a tendency to discuss the implementation of stunting handling and prevention in Aceh; and 2) the emphasis on resource persons from the point of view of the government and stakeholders involved in stunting prevention. The media coverage frame provides an overview and mapping of information on stunting cases from the government's point of view. As a result, it is recommended that additional research be conducted from the community's perspective as a media audience in understanding and interpreting stunting discourse in Aceh.

Abstract

ABSTRACT With the rise in cases of stunting among children, the West Aceh Regency government is here to help minimize the number of stunting that occurs through the launch of the Healthy Kitchen to Overcome Stunting (DASHAT) program which covers up to 48 Muslim villages in West Aceh Regency. The aim of this research is to see how DASHAT is implemented in West Aceh Regency which refers to the theory of Donald Van Meter and Carl Van Horn. The research uses qualitative research methods by collecting data through observation, documentation and interview results. The results of this research show that the implementation of DASHAT in West Aceh from several villages in West Aceh Regency, in fact, some villages are still in the process of implementing DASHAT. However, for the realization of this program, there are already selected villages that have become a reference for other villages. Some of DASHAT's programs include outreach, education and cooking together at the location, while the participants of the DASHAT Program are mothers, especially mothers, so they can provide good and correct food according to the rules of what's on my plate. ABSTRAK Maraknya kasus stunting terhadap anak, pemerintah Kabupaten Aceh Barat hadir untuk membantu meminimalisir angka stunting yang terjadi melalui peluncuran program Dapur Sehat Atasi Stunting (DASHAT) yang mencakup hingga 48 desa muslimin di Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Tujuan dari penelitiann ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimama implementasi dari DASHAT yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh Barat yang merujuk pada Teori Donald Van Meter Dan Carl Van Horn. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data secara obeservasi, dokumentasi dan hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi DASHAT di Aceh Barat dari beberapa desa yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh Barat secara fakta sebagian desa masih proses dalam tahapan mengimplementasikan DASHAT, namun perealisasian program ini sudah ada desa yang terpilih dan menjadi referensi bagi desa lainnya. Beberapa program DASHAT diantaranya sosialisasi, edukasi dan masak bersama dilokasi sedangkan partisipan dari Program DASHAT yaitu ibu-ibu terkhususnya agar dapat menyediakan makanan yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan kaidah isi piringku.
