Abstract

The Increasing business competition requires companies to possess an appropriate and accurate performance measurement. Balanced scorecard is an appropriate performance measurement tool to use pertinent to the financial and non-financial aspects of the measurement. The research was conducted to know the relationships among size, product life cycle, and market position and the use of balanced scorecard in the manufacturing industry. The study was conducted to 34 manufacturing companies located in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. The manufacturing companies were business to customer types that came from the consumer goods, chemicals, and various industry sectors. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the managers or owners of the manufacturing companies. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Pearson correlation test to determine whether there were relationships among the size, product life cycle, and market position and the use of a balanced scorecard. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship among the variable size, product life cycle, and market position and the use of the balanced scorecard in the manufacturing industry sector in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. In addition, it was noted that the highest use of the balanced scorecard was on the internal business process perspective, which amounted to 26%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of growth, financial performance and external financing on voulantary disclosure and the effect of voluntary disclosure on earnings quality. Hypothesis testing is carried out by using linear regression model using data from Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2015. Company growth is measured by book-to-market ratio, financial performance is measured by return on assets, external financing is measured by issue, voluntary disclosure is measured based on voluntary disclosure index, and earnings quality is measured by annual firm-specific absolute value of the residuals (accruals quality). The examiniation of the first model shows company's growth and financial performance has a significant positive effect on voluntary disclosure, while external financing has no effect on voluntary disclosure. The second model shows that voluntary disclosure has a significant positive impact on earnings quality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that usually affects the rectum and part of the colon, which spreads continuously with no skip area. Pancolitis occurs in 20% of patients with UC. Patients with chronic UC, especially pancolitis, have a higher risk of colon cancer. In patients with pancolitis, the risk of cancer increases by 0.5-1% per year after having 8-10 years of disease. A 72-year-old man came with complaint of bloody-mucus diarrhea associated with abdominal cramps. The colonoscopic appearance of colitis was observed in whole lumen throughout colon. Histopathological analysis demonstrated dense infiltrates of granulocytes and macrophages formed by severe inflammation. Normal appearances were observed in the remaining epithelial cells. No parasites, specific process, or malignancy were found. Moreover, no acid-resistant bacteria were found. However, atypical cells were found in one of the biopsy specimens. The patient was diagnosed with extensive type of severe UC. The initial management of treatment included improvement of his general condition along with antibacterial therapy of metronidazole and ciprofloxacin. Specific treatment of sulphasalazine and prednisone were given after pancolitis appearance was revealed, which has similar clinical manifestations in accordance with UC.   Keywords: pancolitis, ulcerative colitis, chronic diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and prove empirically the quality of productive assets (NPL), firm size (Ln total assets), liquidity (LDR), capital adequacy (CAR), and efficiency (BOPO) as an internal determinant of profitability with the indicator RoRWA and ROA bank in Indonesia. Samples taken for 31 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for Conventional Comercial Banks in Indonesia for the period 2011-2016. Data analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with software SmartPLS version 2.0. The results of this study indicate the quality of productive assets, firm size, and capital adequacy have a positive effect on profitability, while liquidity and efficiency have a negative affect on profitability.The purpose of this research is to analyze and prove empirically the quality of productive assets (NPL), company size (Natural logarithm of total asset), liquidity (LDR), capital adequacy (CAR), and efficiency level (BOPO) as an internal determinant of profitability with RoRWA and ROA indicators on banks in Indonesia. Samples of 31 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for Conventional Commercial Banks in Indonesia year 2011-2016. Data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with SmartPLS software version 2.0. Abstract

This study examines the lack of adequate knowledge of residents of Batam Block 3 Lubuk Baja about online taxes. The purpose of this study is to provide an introduction to online tax and to encourage citizens of Block 3 to participate in paying taxes as an Indonesian citizen (WNI). The data collection process was carried out by observing the needs and constraints of local residents, as well as through interviews with the head of RT 01 Block 3 (Mr. Irwansyah). The material obtained from interviews was transcribed and analyzed. The results of the analysis raised 2 themes discussed here: social support and the goal of participation. The study of these two themes is very useful for understanding how to optimally increase the knowledge and motivation of citizens in carrying out online tax payments.

Pada saat ini, teknologi berkembang menjadi pesat dari generasi ke generasi. Masyarakat di dunia banyak memanfaatkan teknologi yang sedang berkembang untuk membantu membuat dan mengembangkan bisnis. Salah satu kegiatan bisnis yang bergerak dan berkembang saat ini adalah industri perhotelan yaitu virtual hotel operator (VHO). Konsep yang dimiliki oleh virtual hotel operator (VHO) adalah rebranding. VHO melakukan pemeriksaan kualitas secara menyeluruh untuk memastikan konsumen dapat dilayani dan mendapatkan pengalaman terbaik. Viral marketing memiliki konsep pemasaran dengan memanfaatkan penggunaan jaringan media sosial di dalam dunia digital. AiryRooms adalah perusahaan teknologi yang mengelola kamar-kamar berkualitas dengan harga yang terjangkau. Dengan adanya persaingan pasar yang semakin kuat, maka pemilik bisnis tersebut harus aktif dalam melakukan inovasi memberikan pelayanan terbaik bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel gaya hidup, harga, promosi, citra merek, dan viral marketing terhadap keputusan pembelian melalui aplikasi AiryRooms di Tangerang Selatan. Metode yang digunakan Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling (judgement sampling). Skala pengukuran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala likert. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 121 responden. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel gaya hidup, citra merek, dan viral marketing berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sedangkan variabel harga dan promosi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian melalui aplikasi AiryRooms di Tangerang Selatan.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting financial distress in Manufacturing Companies in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016–2020. The data used is sourced from the company's financial statements on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the sample has been selected based on predetermined criteria. The population in this study are all Manufacturing Companies in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016–2020 totaling 30 companies, with purposive sampling method, the sample received is 12 companies. From this research, it can be seen that sales growth and working capital turnover partially effect financial distress significantly. Institutional ownership and debt to equity ratio have an insignificant effect on financial distress. All variables have a significant effect on financial distress simultaneously.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada materi asam dan basa berbasis problem based learning di SMA Negeri 1 Napabalano. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui kualitas dan kelayakan dari LKPD asam basa berbasis problem based learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D (define, design, development and disseminate).Kualitas LKPD yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh para ahli materi dan media sebanyak 3 orang. Kelayakan LKPD yang dikembangkan dilihat dari respon siswa sebanyak 9 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata penilaian ahli materi sebesar 80% (kategori baik) dan rata-rata penilaian ahli media sebesar 80% (kategori baik).Rata-rata penilaian dari Respon siswa kategori sangat baiksebesar 90% (uji coba skala terbatas). Berdasarkan validasi paraahli dan respon siswa maka LKPD yang dikembangkan telah valid dan layak digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran dalam materi asam dan basa.
