Abstract

Food security has become a concern at national and international scope. Recently, food security has not been widely integrated into education, so the impact is students’ low awareness on it. One solution to overcome the situation is to raise food security literacy by using photovoice through Group Investigation learning model. The purpose of this study is to analyze the awareness and score of students’ scientific paper through the aforementioned methods. Quasi-Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design was used. The population was all students of Youth Science Group in X class of SMA (SLUA) ​​Saraswati 1 Denpasar in the second semester of academic year 2015/2016. Sample used were students of X MIA 1 as a control and X MIA 2 as an experimental class. Data collection technique for gaining awareness of students was distributing questionnaires of awareness Assessment results of scientific paper was then assessed by using rubric. Data analysis technique usedwas Mann-Whitney U test. The results of quantitative research show that there wasa difference on the awareness and score of scientific paper between the control and the experimental class with the significant degree of p=0.000<0.05. In conclusion,the food security literacy based on photovoice in Group Investigation learning model increased the awareness and score of students’ scientific paper.

Abstract

Sekolah perlu menciptakan suatu proses yang mampu memfasilitasi guru untuk melakukan kajian terhadap materi pembelajaran dan strategi-strategi mengajar.  Program pengembangan profesi guru membutuhkan fasilitas seperti  Lesson Study  dengan  menggunakan  model pembelajaran kooperatif  Jigsaw Modifikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1)  meningkatkan keprofesionalan guru dalam pembelajaran kooperatif  Jigsaw  Modifikasi  melalui  LS  dan (2) mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif  Jigsaw  Modifikasi terhadap penggunaan media presentasi powerpoint siswa.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 7 Denpasar, sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 8 sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 Oktober sampai dengan 2 Desember 2012. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui 4 tahap yaitu observasi awal, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket LS dan rubrik pengamatan presentasi powerpoint. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskripsi dalam bentuk narasi untuk data kualitatif dan uji median  yang dilanjutkan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji Fisher untuk data kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa  LS  dapat meningkatkan keprofesionalan  guru. Analisis data kuantitatif  dengan α = 5% diketahui bahwa 7 (tujuh) kriteria dari 9 (sembilan) kriteria pengamatan presentasi materi sistem gerak antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen menunjukkan  perbedaan nilai yang  signifikan dengan  nilai P ≤ 0,05  sedangkan  kriteria  organisasi  dan  kriteria  suara memiliki  nilai P > 0,05 menunjukkan perbedaan nilai yang tidak signifikan. Pada analisis data materi sistem peredaran darah semua kriteria hasil penilaian menunjukkan perbedaan nilai yang signifikan hal ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil presentasi powerpoint antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen pada semua kriteria.Kata Kunci : Lesson study, keprofesionalan guru, jigsaw modifikasi, media powerpoint.

Abstract

One of the varieties local of bamboo shoots is tabah bamboo shoots (Gigantochloa nigrociliata BUSE-KURZ), usually has and having dietary fiber content and nutrients. The potential diatery fiber and oligosaccharide of tabah bamboo shoots flour patient stimulate the growth of bacteria lactic acid (LAB) wanted to know in this study. This research consisting analysis total dietary fiber content food in enzymatic, the components of oligosaccharide with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and testing LAB growth in a media flour bamboo shoots patient. The experimental design used was a single-factor randomized block design (RBD). Results showing total dietary fiber on the patient bamboo shoots flour contents 18,29% (db) at the apical, 20,92% (db) at the middle and 14,22% (db) at the basal. The amount of total dietary fiber content obtained showed that tabah bamboo shoots flour has potential as a source of dietary fiber. Components of oligosaccharide in the tabah bamboo shoots flour presented descriptive. The highest content of 4,55% raffinose (db), and 0,35% sucrose (db). The content of simple carbohydrates in the flour has a tabah bamboo shoots can be a prebiotic. The growth of L. acidophilus, L. brevis, L. casei rhamnosus highest at the apical and the middle 2,8 x 1010 – 5,8 x 1010CFU/ml. Bifidobacterium bifidum highest at the basal 3,6 x 1010- 3,7 x 1010 CFU/ml. This shows that dietary fiber on tabah bamboo shoots flour able to stimulate BAL growth.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membentuk komunitas belajar di program studi pendidikan biologi dengan mengimplementasikan lesson study dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Dalam pelaksanaan lesson studydiperlukan kolaborasi antara mahasiswa dengan dosen, dosen dengan dosen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode etnografi. Peneliti melibatkan diri sebagai pengamat partisipatif (participant observation), kegiatan penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November sampai dengan Desember 2017. Ada lima dosen yang terlibat dalam kegiatan plan, do dan see. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi dosen, lembar observasi mahasiswa, lembar pengamatan, dan notulen dari para observer. Lesson study mampu memfasilitasi dosen dalam membangun komunitas belajar di program studi pendidikan biologi, yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya perbaikan bahan ajar yang dirumuskan bersama kelompok dosen, perbaikan cara mengajar dengan masukan dari observer dan evaluasi mahasiswa, interaksi yang semakin baik antara dosen dengan dosen dan dosen dengan mahasiswa.
