Abstract

Provinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) telah menunjukkan banyak bukti dalam kiprahnya di dunia pendidikan dan salah satu keistimewaan NAD adalah dalam bidang Pendidikan. Berabad-abad silam pendidikan di NAD, khususnya pendidikan Islam telah diterapkan dalam berbagai jalur, jenis, dan jenjang pendidikan. Pendidikan dayah merupakan primadona dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di NAD sejak dahulu hingga kini, walau tetap dalam sistem pendidikan nasional.  Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Islam, dan NAD.

Abstract

Supervisi pendidikan merupakan upaya seorang kepala sekolah dalam pembinaan guru agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas mengajarnya dengan melalui langkah-langkah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan tindak lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui program supervisi pengajaran, pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran, teknik-teknik supervisi pengajaran, tindak lanjut hasil supervisi, dan faktor-faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan supervisi yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru senior. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa; 1) Program supervisi Pengajaran disusun berorientasi pada bimbingan terhadap tugas-tugas guru dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar guru dengan melibatkan wakil kepala sekolah dan guru senior; 2) Pelaksanaan supervisi diawali dengan menyiapkan instrumen pelaksanaan supervisi dan mensosialisasikannya pada setiap awal semester. Pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran belum sepenuhnya berjalan sesuai dengan program yang sudah disusun. Hal ini terlihat pada kurang terlaksananya pembinaan guru melalui pelatihan dan penataran; 3) teknik yang gunakan oleh kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar guru adalah mengadakan kunjungan kerja guru, mengadakan pembicaraan individual serta mengikutsertakan guru dalam pelatihan dan seminar; 4) Tindak lanjut yang dilakukan adalah pemberian bantuan dan bimbingan kepada guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam pelaksanaan tugas sebagai guru dan peningkatan profesional guru melalui kegiatan pertemuan guru mata pelajaran dan mengikuti pelatihan; 5) faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan supervisi pengjaran adalah rendahnya kompetensi sebagian guru senior yang di tunjuk sebagai supervisor, dan adanya kegiatan supervisor yang tidak direncanakan

Abstract

Academic supervision aims at influencing and developing the behavior of the teacher in managing the learning process at school. The purpose of this study was to find out: the implementation of academic supervision for the completeness of teacher administration, discipline of teachers, the commitment of teachers, and the obstacles to the implementation of academic supervision to manage the learning process. Method with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation studies. Subjects of the study were principal and teachers. The results of the research showed that: (1) the implementation of academic supervision for the completeness of teacher administration has been carried out well by the principal. The principal as the supervisor always tried to guide and direct the teachers, mainly in completing learning tools such as annual program, semester program, syllabus, and lesson plan; (2) the implementation of academic supervision to enhance the discipline of teachers has been carried out well by the principal; (3) the implementation of academic supervision to improve the commitment of teachers have been applied well by the principal; and (4) the obstacles to the implementation of academic supervision in the management of the learning process was lack of time of principal because of other tasks. The academic supervision was conducted by the vice principal and senior teachers, but the improvement and guidance were not well implanted.Keywords: academic supervision, principal, and teacher performance

Abstract

Abstract: To improve the professionalism of teachers, implementation of teaching supervision by the principal is indispensable as an indicator of the success of learning implementation in school and teachers’ tasks. A principal absolutely must have a competence as a supervisor because through supervision activities problems faced by teachers in the implementation of learning and development of professionalism can be identified, so that a solution can be found through routine coaching by the principal. The purpose of this study was to determine the teaching supervision program in an effort to improve the performance and professionalism of teachers at SMAN 1 Peukan Bada Senior High School in Aceh Besar Regency. This study used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were: observation, interview and documentation study. The subjects of the study were principal and teachers of SMAN 1 Peukan Bada. The results of the study showed that: (1) The principal has the ability as a supervisor in the implementation of teacher professional development program in SMAN 1 Peukan Bada, (2) The principal used individual supervision technique as the strategy to improve the professionalism of teachers through classroom visit activity, classroom observation, peer supervision, informal supervision and group technique, (3) The supervision carried by the principal provided a positive impact in improving the professionalism of teachers, with the growing understanding of the teachers on how to become good educators, (4) The obstacle in the implementation of program supervision was the limited time, resulting in uneven supervision activities for any teacher, so that the efforts to improve teachers' competence was not optimal. Keywords: The Competence, Principal, Professionalism, Teacher  Abstrak: Dalam meningkatkatkan profesionalisme guru, pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran oleh kepala sekolah sangat diperlukan sebagai indikator keberhasilan pelaksanaan pembelajaran disekolah dan tugas-tugas guru. Kompetensi kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor mutlak harus dimiliki oleh seorang kepala sekolah karena melalui kegiatan supervisi ditemukan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pengembangan profesionalismenya, sehingga dapat ditemukan solusi dengan dilakukan pembinaan secara rutin oleh kepala sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui program supervisi pengajaran dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja dan profesionalisme guru pada SMA Negeri I Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SMA Negeri I Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh data dan informasi : (1) Kepala sekolah memeiliki kemampuan sebagai supervisor dalam pelaksanaan program pembinaan profesionalisme guru SMA Negeri I Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar, (2) strategi supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalisme guru adalah: teknik supervisi perseorangan dengan kegiatan kunjungan kelas, observasi kelas, supervisi sebaya, supervisi informal dan teknik kelompok, (3) supervisi yang dilaksanakanan kepala sekolah memberi dampak positif dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru, dengan meningkatnya pemahaman guru bagaimana menjadi pendidik yang baik, (4) keterbatasan waktu menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan program supervisi, mengakibatkan tidak meratanya kegiatan supervisi untuk setiap guru sehingga upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru belum maksimal. Kata kunci: Kompetensi, Kepala Sekolah, Profesional, Guru

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze: (1) Competence managerial principals in a remote SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Baru Pidie Jaya in planning school activities; (2) the principal managerial competence in implementing the plan school activities on a remote SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Baru Pidie Jaya; and (3) the principal obstacle encountered in implementing managerial competence in a remote SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Baru Pidie Jaya. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects are: principals, teachers and school committees. The results showed that: (1) Competence managerial principals in planning school activities has been good, it is seen from there RKS, the committee PSB, the organizational structure of the school, the structure of the school committee, school financial management, personnel management, management of student, curriculum management and public relations, but in the management of facilities and infrastructure, information management systems have not been managed optimally; (2) the principal managerial competence in implementing the action plan the school has not reached the maximum results, as seen in the educators in excess, lack of innovation in teaching methods, laboratory and library management is not optimal; (3) the principal obstacle encountered in implementing the managerial competence of teachers is the lack of discipline, lack of facilities and infrastructure, there is no motivation from parents to students.Keywords: managerial competence,  principals, and school isolated

Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of School-based management (SBM) is one attempt to raise the quality of education in an effective and productive. A good financial management as one of the MBS can expedite the implementation of the learning process. This study aims to reveal and analyze the financial management of SD Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used interviews and documentation studies. Subjects in this study were school principals, representatives, committees and four elementary school teachers Banda Aceh. The research results showed that the Planning financing in SD Negeri 4 Banda Aceh compiled based on plan school development and it’s part of operationalplans the annual. Financing plan in the SD Negeri 4 Banda Aceh include budgeting for competency development activities, curriculum development, development of the learning process, educators and educational staff development, school facilities and infrastructure development, development and implementation of school management, development and excavating the source of funds for education, and development and systematic assessment implementation. The preparation of financial planning was based on the composition of a very urgent priority and precedence in its budget each year. Implementation or use of a series of events beginning with the budget and approval to ensure that funds are spent as planned, carried out by utilizing the available resources, and funds not spent for activities that are not approvedor provided to the receiving party without consent. Evaluation is done every quarter or per semester. Funds are used properly accountable to the sources of funds by the city, province, central although parents / guardians and the community.Keywords: School-Based Management, Manage Financing

Abstract

In empowering the school library as a learning resource center requires a good performance from a teacher-librarian. This study aims to determine the palnning and implementation of school library programs, efforts to empower school libraries and factors that support and hinder teacher-librarian in work. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are: interview, documentation study and observation. The subjects of the study were: Teacher-Librarian, Principals, Teachers and Students. The results of the research indicate that: (1) The planning of library programs has been discussed together in regular school workshops involving all stakeholders. The library program is centered on three parts: collection development, collection organization and collection service. (2) Of the overall planned program, some have been implemented in accordance with the schedule that has been determined, some are partially wired, and some are not implemented. Teacher-librarian performance assessments fall into the low category. (3) Teachers-librarian doing library empowerment efforts that still revolve around library routine activities. Not yet based on creative and innovative programs. (4) Factors that support the performance of teacher-librarian come from individual teacher-librarian, while those that inhibit performance come from external factors.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation in improving the quality of education. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive method. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Subjects in this study is the principal, vice principal, teachers, and chairman committee of MTsN Grong Grong Pidie district. The results of this study indicate that: (1) planning program based on the vision, mission, and goals of the school. The work program drawn up by each component of the school by revising the annual work program and verified by the school principal. Substance leads to improving the quality of education but does not specify the target results in detail. (2) The implementation of each component of the program is managed by the school, by setting up implementation guidelines such as documents written educational unit level curriculum, organizational structure, job descriptions of teachers and education personnel, academic regulations, and school rules.. (3) Evaluation of the program is more focused on the academic program of the effectiveness and efficiency of learning and teacher performance, carry out self evaluation of schools and school accreditation. The results of the evaluation made a report consisting of technical and financial reports to The Head Office of District Religious Ministry.Keywords: School Based Management and Quality of Education

Abstract

Abstract: The empowerment of production unit is a business activity process at school which is profit oriented, conducted by school community by empowering human resource in the school and professionally managed. This study aimed to find out program, implementation, obstacles, and supporting factor in production unit empowerment. This study used descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis used were data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and data verification. Subjects of the study were principal, vice principal, head of production unit, head of production sub-unit, school supervisors, school committee and teachers. The results of the study showed that: 1) Programs were formulated based on analysis that included human resource, facility, finance, market aspect, and other considerations that involved all personnel through discussion at the end of each school year. Production units run were V Mart and Graphic business. 2) The implementation of the empowerment program involved human resource from the school and outside of the school. Source of funds used was funds from school. State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 of Banda Aceh established cooperation with SMKN 2 of Banda Aceh in printing of answer and question sheet and other printing forms. In V-Mart business, SMKN 1 of Banda Aceh established cooperation with some suppliers of goods and school cooperative enterprise both with SMKN 2 of Banda Aceh and SMKN 3 of Banda Aceh for stationeries and other household goods for members of the school cooperation. 3) Supporting factors of the empowerment of production unit were adequate human resource and facility, support from related parties, and good market aspects. Inhibiting factors were limited time, no maximal cooperation with external parties, no effective marketing techniques, and no clear mapping of the target market to external parties.Keywords: Vocational High School Empowerment, Production Unit, and Strategic Management Abstrak: Pemberdayaan unit produksi merupakan proses kegiatan usaha sekolah dan bersifat bisnis (profit oriented) dan dapat dilakukan melalui manajemen stratejik untuk memberdayakan sumber daya sekolah secara profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program, pelaksanaan, hambatan dan pendukung pemberdayaan unit produksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu mereduksi, display, mengambil kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, ketua unit produksi, ketua sub unit produksi, pengawas, komite dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Program dirumuskan berdasarkan analisis yang meliputi SDM, fasilitas, keuangan, aspek pasar dan beberapa pertimbangan lainya dengan melibatkan semua personil melalui musyawarah pada setiap akhir tahun ajaran. Unit produksi yang dijalankan yaitu V Mart dan Usaha Grafika. 2) Pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan diawali dengan pengorganisasian yang melibatkan SDM dari dalam sekolah dan dari luar sekolah. Sumber biaya yang dipakai adalah dana dari sekolah. Kerjasama dilakukan dengan SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh berupa percetakan lembaran soal dan lembaran jawaban serta percetakan lainnya. Sementara untuk usaha V Mart dengan beberapa pemasok barang dan koperasi sekolah baik SMKN 2 Banda Aceh dan SMKN 3 Banda Aceh untuk kebutuhan barang ATK dan kebutuhan rumah tangga lainya bagi anggota koperasi. 3) Faktor pendukung pemberdayaan unit produksi adalah adanya dukungan SDM dan fasilitas yang memadai, dukungan pihak terkait dan memilki aspek pasar yang sangat bagus. Sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah waktu sangat terbatas, fasilitas khusus untuk bidang usaha grafika, permodalan yang minim, kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal belum maksimal, teknik pemasaran yang belum efektif, belum adanya pemetaan target pasar yang jelas kepada pihak eksternal.Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan SMK, Unit Produksi dan Manajemen Stratejik

Abstract

One of supervisory functions is to help both school and teachers do their work in order to level up the quality of educational institutions. The objective of this study was to know supervision programs, the implementation supervision, follow up action, and obstacles faced during the academic supervision work to develop teachers’ performance at Elementary School 3 in Peukan Pidie. The method employed in this study was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The data were collected by means of observation, interview, and documentation study. The subjects of this study covered the school principal, and teachers. The research illustrated that: (1) the academic supervision programs to accelerate teachers’ performance had been arranged and documented as outlines. (2) Academic supervision was targeting efforts to develop teachers’ performance. Supervision work covered class supervision, observation class, documentation, interview, questionnaire, and printed reports. (3) Follow up action was done by solving the obstacles faced during supervision. (4) Some of obstacles faced by the principal in doing supervision were problems in the implementation the programs that have been well-planned especially programs to develop teachers’ performance. The principal only have limited time to provide academic supervision to his teachers in terms of correctional and fostering to boost up their performance.Keywords: Academic Supervision, Principal, Teachers’ Performance
