Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan matematika peserta didik menyebabkan munculnya sikap ketidaksenangan terhadap matematika, dan sebaliknya. Ketidaksenangan tersebut akan memunculkan rasa takut dan cemas ketika belajar matematika. Kecemasan matematika juga dapat muncul karena proses pembelajaran matematika yang kurang menyenangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mengetahui apakah rata-rata kecemasan matematika peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran probing-prompting bernuansa etnomatematika lebih rendah dari rata-rata kecemasan matematika peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran ekspositori dan (2) mengetahui penurunan kecemasan matematika peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran probing-prompting bernuansa etnomatematika. Penelitian ini mengacu pada nonequivalent control group design yang merupakan bentuk desain dari kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IV SD NU Nawa Kartika Kudus pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan pemberian angket untuk mengukur kecemasan matematika peserta didik. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi uji perbedaan rata-rata (uji t) dan uji gain untuk mengetahui penurunan kecemasan matematika peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kecemasan matematika peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran probing-prompting bernuansa etnomatematika lebih rendah dari rata-rata kecemasan matematika peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran ekspositori dan kecemasan matematika peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran probing-prompting bernuansa etnomatematika mengalami penurunan sebesar 48% dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by QR code on students’ mathematical problem solving ability. This experimental research was carried out on students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study ProgramUniversitas Muria Kudus in the mathematical concept course in the academic year of 2016/2017. The ability to solve mathematical problems is measured by tests. Data analysis techniques used include t-test and proportion test. The results of this study are: 1) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn through PBL assisted by QR code is better than the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn through Direct Instruction learning; 2) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who are taught with PBL assisted by QR code have reached the minimum completeness criteria (MCC) and 3) the proportion of students taught with PBL assisted by QR code that has reached the MCC is better than the proportion of students studying through Direct Instruction learning that have met the minimum completeness criteria (MCC). Thus, the lecturer can develop PBL assisted by QR code to create interesting learning so that students are enthusiastic about the learning, which will have a positive effect on their mathematical problem solving ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of nomophobia on student motivation in Dukuh Waringin Village RT 01 RW 02 Dawe District, Kudus Regency. The problem analyzed in this study is related to the impact of nomophobia on students’ learning motivation. This study used qualitative methods and there were 15 informants consisting of 5 students, 5 parents, and 5  siblings. Data collection techniques in this study used observations, interviews, and documentation to determine the impact of nomophobia on learning motivation. The results of this study are elementary school students who experience nomophobia in the village of Dukuh Waringin RT 01 RW 02 Dawe District, Kudus Regency has low learning motivation. Students' motivation to learn decreased after they often played smartphones.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa dan mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika semester VI dalam mata kuliah Analisis Kompleks. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester VI Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muria Kudus yang berjumlah 27 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik tes. Teknik tes digunakan untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa aspek kognitif dan keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data yang meliputi analisis inferensial untuk menguji korelasi antarvariabel dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Sebagian besar keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa hanya mencapai predikat B yaitu sebesar 48,15% mahasiswa, rata-rata keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa adalah 62,96 dan secara klasikal tergolong pada predikat BC, serta berdasarkan indikator, keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa belum optimal karena hanya mencapai rata-rata 57,87 %.

Abstract

The ability to think mathematically is very important for students to solve problems in everyday life. However, in reality, many students cannot find concepts, reason, problem-solving, communication, and connect mathematics to other sciences. This happens because students are not able to understand abstract mathematics. Teaching materials are needed in the form of applications on the device so that they are attractive to students. The ethnomathematics mobile module is a teaching material that contains mathematical material that is brought closer to everyday life through ethnomathematical learning. This study uses research and development (R&D) methods with the Borg & Gall model which is adapted from Sugiono's development model. The data of this study were obtained from a validation questionnaire of material experts and media experts. The type of data produced is qualitative data which is analyzed with assessment criteria guidelines to determine product quality. The purpose of this study is to obtain an ethnomathematics mobile module design to facilitate valid mathematical thinking skills. Based on the results of the assessment from the validator, the average value of the ethnomathematics mobile module material validity test was 3.76 (very valid) by material experts and the validity of the ethnomathematics mobile module media was 3.80 (very valid) by media experts. These results indicate that the ethnomathematics mobile module that was developed is valid or feasible to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field Intermediate (FDI) dalam menyelesaikan soal etnomatematika di SD 1 Muhammadiyah Kudus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah tiga siswa kelas III SD 1 Muhammadiyah Kudus yang memiliki gaya kognitif FDI. Tiga siswa tersebut tergolong dalam FDI lemah, sedang, dan kuat. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknis analisis yang mengacu pada Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Jawaban siswa pada TRM dianalisis dan subjek penelitian diwawancara sebagai triangulasi. Langkah selanjutnya yaitu menganalisis data kemampuan representasi siswa dari subjek FDI. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil representasi matematis siswa FDI tergolong baik, tetapi masih banyak kendala yang dihadapi. dalam representasi visual, siswa belum dapat menyajikan kembali data atau informasi dari suatu representasi ke representasi tabel; dalam representasi simbolik, siswa belum dapat membuat konjektur dari suatu pola bilangan; dan dalam representasi verbal, siswa belum dapat membuat situasi masalah berdasarkan data atau representasi yang diberikan, dan belum dapat menyusun langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah matematis dengan kata-kata. AbstractThis study aims to analyze the mathematical representation ability of students with the Field Intermediate (FDI) cognitive style in solving ethnomathematics problems at SD 1 Muhammadiyah Kudus. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were three third grade students of SD 1 Muhammadiyah Kudus who had FDI cognitive styles. The three students were classified as low, medium, and high FDI. Data analysis in this study uses technical analysis that refers to Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Students' answers on TRM were analyzed and research subjects were interviewed as triangulation. The next step is to analyze the student's representation ability data from the subject of FDI. The results of the study showed that the FDI students' mathematical representation profile was good, but there were still many obstacles encountered. in visual representation, students have not been able to restate data or information from a representation to the table representation; in symbolic representation, students have not been able to make a conjecture of a number pattern; and (3) in verbal representations, students have not been able to create problem situations based on data or representations provided, and have not been able to arrange steps to solve mathematical problems with words.

Abstract

Permasalahan mitra guru di SD 4 Karangbener Kudus adalah kurangnya pengetahuan guru mengenai model-model pembelajaran matematika inovatif untuk menyusun skenario pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Ada pula guru yang sudah mempunyai sedikit pengetahuan mengenai pembelajaran inovatif, tetapi masih terkendala dalam implementasinya. Guru-guru di SD 4 Karangbener Kudus membutuhkan pengetahuan tentang inovasi pembelajaran matematika SD yang berorientasi pada implementasi skenario pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru SD 4 Karangbener Kudus mengenai model-model pembelajaran inovatif untuk menyusun dan mengimplementasikan penyusunan skenario pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu dengan cara memberikan pelatihan interaktif dan pendampingan. Hal ini menimbulkan interaksi dua arah sehingga guru SD 4 Karangbener Kudus memiliki kesempatan untuk saling bertukar ide, pikiran, pendapat, dan pengalamannya. Pelaksanaan pendampingan penyusunan skenario pembelajaran inovatif sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika bagi guru SD 4 Karangbener Kudus berlangsung dalam beberapa tahapan, antara lain: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, follow up, pemaparan dan diskusi, serta evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru di SD 4 Karangbener Kudus mampu merencanakan, menyusun, dan memaparkan skenario pembelajaran matematika inovatif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

The mathematics learning applied by teacher have not been able to engage students to apply concepts to solve daily problems. Beside that, students are not used to face a higher order thingking problems. It created a lack of mathematics literacy. This research aims to (1) know to what extent implementatioan etnomathematic-based probing-prompting learning on mathematics literacy, (2) know to wheather students taught by etnomathematic-based probing-prompting learning have higher mathematics literacy than students taught by expository, and (3) know the improvement of students’  mathematics literacy after implementatioan of etnomathematic-based probing-prompting learning. This is an experimental research by using nonequivalent control group design. It was conducted in NU Nawa Kartika Kudus elementary school in even semester of 2016/2017academic year. The collecting data technique used is a test to measure the students’ mathematics literacy. The analysis techniques in this research included student test (t-test), and gain test to measure the improvement of students’ mathematics literacy. The result of this research were (1) students’ mathematics literacy was achived the passing grade after implementatioan of etnomathematic-based probing-prompting,(2 ) the average of  students’ mathematics literacy taught by etnomathematic-based probing-prompting learning was higher than students taught by expository, and (3) students’ mathematics improve by 54% after implementatioan of etnomathematic-based probing-prompting learning or categorized as middle level

Abstract

Program pendampingan pembuatan alat peraga ini merupakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang ditujukan untuk guru SD 2 Mlati Lor Kudus. Permasalahan mitra adalah ketersediaan alat peraga yang minim dan kurangnya pengetahuan guru tentang cara penggunaan alat peraga matematika secara benar. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah menyediakan alat peraga matematika SD dan memberikan pengetahuan kepada mitra guru tentang pembuatan dan penggunaan alat peraga tersebut. PKM dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan interaktif dan pendampingan. Interaksi dua arah dilakukan dalam proses pelatihan dengan cara memberikan kesempatan kepada mitra guru untuk menyumbangkan ide, pendapat, pikiran, dan pengalamannya. Sedangkan pelaksanaan pendampingan pembuatan dan penggunaan alat peraga pada guru dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, antara lain: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, follow up, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru SD 2 Mlati Lor mampu membuat, menggunakan alat peraga, dan melakukan simulasi dan praktik pembelajaran matematika menggunakan alat peraga.

Abstract

This study aims are to determine the improvement of mathematical problem solving skills with the application of math mobile learning media. The study was conducted in fourth grade of SD 1 PasuruhanKidul Kudus in the academic year 2018/2019 with the number of students 19.The research method used was the classroom action research method which lasted for two cycles, namely in cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The independent variable in this study is math mobile learning media, while the dependent variable is the ability to solve math problems, student learning activities, and teacher teaching skills. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, documentation and tests. This data analysis technique uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis.The results of this study indicate that the increase is, (1) The average mathematical problem solving ability of students with the percentage of classical completeness 68.42% (enough) in the first cycle to 94.73% (good) in the second cycle, (2) Activities student learning has increased with a value of 64.48 less (need guidance) in the first cycle and 76.72 (good) in the second cycle. (3) The percentage of teaching skills of teachers has increased by a percentage of 71% (enough) in the first cycle and 80.5% (good) in the second cycle. Based on the results of research carried out in class IV SD 1 PasuruhanKidul Kudus, it can be concluded that through math mobile learning media can improve the ability to solve mathematical problems in the surrounding material and flat area, student learning activities and teaching skills of teachers in teaching and learning.
