Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk me menganalisis kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal penerapan fisika dengan menggunakan lembar self-diagnosis dan self efficacy pada mahasiswa pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya dan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester V tahun akademik 2017/2018. Penelitian dilaksanakan semester gasal tahun akademik 2017/2018 di program studi pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan angket. Tes yang diberikan berupa tes essay sejumlah dua item soal dan konsep fisika yang digunakan yaitu konsep usaha dan energi. Soal tes nomor 1 tentang konsep hukum kekekalan energi mekanik dan soal nomor 2 tentang konsep hukum kekekalan energi. Sedangkan angket berupa angket self diagnosis dan angket self efficacy. Analisis data angket self diagnosis dilakukan dengan teknik penskoran berdasarkan subkategori pada lembar self-diagnosis. Peneliti melakukan penskoran dengan tiga cara yaitu (1) Reasearcher diagnosis of student’s solution (RDS), dimana peneliti menskor hasil dari lembar jawaban mahasiswa; (2) Student’s self-diagnosis of solution (SDS), dimana mahasiswa mediagnosis kesalahan dalam peyelesaian soal; (3) Researcher’s assessment of student’s self-diagnosis (RSD), dimana peneliti menskor dari lembar self-diagnosis mahasiswa. Penilaian ini dilihat dari dua aspek yaitu aspek konsep fisika dan aspek presentasi penerapan konsep fisika. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) hasil analisis lembar self diagnosis yang diperoleh baik untuk aspek konsep fisika maupun konsep presentasi masing-masing item soal menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa sudah mampu menilai kesalahan yang dilakukan setelah mengerjakan soal penerapan konsep usaha dan energi yang diberikan karena hasil analisis self diagnosis yang telah dilakukan oleh mahasiswa sendiri dengan ahli. (2) Hasil analisis lembar self efficacy menunjukkan tingkat keyakinan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan persoalan penerapan konsep fisika mahasiswa masih tergolong sedang dan belum mencapai 75%.

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lembar kegiatan mahasiswa berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melaksanakan praktikum secara virtual laboratory pada materi listrik dinamis yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan melaui tiga tahapan yaitu tapan pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap evaluasi dilaksanakan dengan mengunakan tahap evaluasi tesmer. Sampel penelitian yaitu mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester 1 yang menempuh mata kuliah praktikum fisika dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan dokumentasi, walktrough, dan angket. Kriteria kevalidan diperoleh dengan mengolah data hasil validasi ahli, sedangkan kriteria kepraktisan diperoleh dengan mengolah data hasil angket pada tahap one to one dan small group evaluation. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilaksanakan diperoleh hasil bahwa Telah berhasil dikembangkan lembar kegiatan mahasiswa berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melaksanakan praktikum secara virtual laboratory pada materi listrik dinamis yang valid dengan nilai 84,25% dengan kriteria valid. Telah berhasil dikembangkan lembar kegiatan mahasiswa berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melaksanakan praktikum secara virtual laboratory pada materi listrik dinamis yang praktis dengan nilai 81,47% pada tahap one to one evaluation dengan kriteria sangat praktis dan 84,10% pada tahap small group evaluation dengan kriteria sangat praktis.It has been already done a research that purpose to produce a student activity sheet based on guided inquiry to carry out practicum in a virtual laboratory on valid and practical dynamic electrical materials.  This research is a research development through three stages namely preliminary stage, development stage, and evaluation phase. Evaluation stage is carried out by using testmer evaluation stage. The sample of research is physics students of semester 1 who take subject of  basic physics lab. Data collection techniques were carried out with documentation, walkthrough, and questionnaires. The validity criteria is obtained by processing the data of expert validation result, while the practicality criteria is obtained by processing the questionnaire data in one to one and small group evaluation. Based on the analysis of data that has been implemented, the result has been successfully developed a student activity sheet based on guided inquiry to carry out practicum in a virtual laboratory on valid dynamic electrical material with value of 84,25% with valid criteria. It has been successfully developed a student activity sheet based on guided inquiry to carry out virtual laboratory practicum in practical dynamic electrical materials with a value of 81.47% in the one to one evaluation stage with very practical criteria and 84.10% in small group evaluation stage with very practical criteria.

Abstract

This study aims at increasing students’ participation in role play strategy on STEM at Physics Education FKIP Unsri. This kind of research differs from other research designs. The issues raised are the problems faced by teachers during the classroom activities and some strategies are implemented to cope with the problems. Classroom Action Research is a sort of qualitative research even though the data collected may be quantitative. The data gained are described into words. The writer designed three cycles during the study The results showed that the 26% out of 14 students in the first cycle participated during the implementation of the strategy; 54% students’ participation were described, and gradually 83% students applied the strategy. Then, the students’ ability to comprehend and filter the information of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in each cycle was 26, 53 and 86. The study showed profoundly students got 60, 70, and 87 for technology; 50, 60 and 88 for engineering, and 25, 40 and 60 for mathematics. To conclude, the implementation of role play strategy on STEM can significantly increase students’ participation and ability to understand nuclear material in the environment.

Abstract

The low cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills of students encourage the need for learning that not only emphasizes learning outcomes but also the learning process. The purpose of the research is to (1) find out the profile of science process skills of students when attending basic physics practicum lectures, and (2) to find out the most dominant science process skills in students while attending basic physics practicum lectures. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was chosen by purposive sampling and obtained by students of the 2017/2018 academic year Physics Education study program FKIP Sriwijaya University. The research data was collected using documentation techniques, observation, and interviews. The data obtained is then processed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, so as to increase trust in the results of the study triangulation of data collection techniques was conducted. The research that has been done obtained results that (1) science process skills of students while following the basic physics practicum lectures in the high category that is equal to 68.1%; (2) the dominant science process skills namely observing skills of 91.0% are very high categories and measure 91.1% in very high categories. The results of the study illustrate that the implementation of basic physics practicums still needs improvement to train students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and practical e-learning model for critical thinking skills using the moodle platform in the lesson of electromagnetic induction. Dick and Carey instructional design model is applied for the product development—which consists of nine stages, (1) instructional goals identification, (2) instructional analysis, (3) learners and contexts analysis, (4) objective performance arrangement, (5) assessment instruments development, (6) instructional strategy’s plan, (7) instructional material selection, (8) preparation for conducting a formative evaluation of the instruction, and (9) revise instruction. The results reveal the moodle design is valid and practical regarding expert and user perspectives, respectively. Besides, there is an improvement of student’s critical thinking skills according to the obtained n-gain score, which stands for 0.38.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the category of understanding the concept of kinematics using Certainty of Response Index (CRI) assisted Computer Based Test (CBT) and to determine misconceptions in class XI students of SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. The method used in this research is descriptive and the instrument used in this study is a multiple choice test using CRI and reason. The test was conducted on 57 students from class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3. Rasch modeling is used for the processing stage from raw data to logit numbers which will provide information related to infits and outfits in the ministep software besides manual analysis using CRI. The result of the analysis that have been carried out considering students who are outliers or misfits, data from the ministep software and the reasons for the answer given, 41 students are obtained according to the Rasch modeling and 16 students who are outliers or misfits. The result showed that the average score of concept understanding was 23.44%, while for the concept understanding category it was 2.15%, the concept understanding category but not sure was 0.00%, the misconception category was 70.02% and did not understand the concept of 27.83%. The result of the interview found several causes of misconceptions, namely the references form used in the languange in the book was difficult to understand and the learning model usel was not quite right.

Abstract

PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN MISKONSEPSI MAHASISWA CALON GURU PADA HUKUM KEPLERAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi tingkat pemahaman konsep dan miskonsepsi mahasiswa calon guru pada hukum Kepler. Subjek penelitian adalah 68 mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Ilmu Pengetahuan Bumi dan Antariksa (IPBA). Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik persampelan purposif. Pengumpulan dan analisis data menggunakan mix method, gabungan penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah two-tear test berupa penyusunan peringkat dan pemberian alasan. Analisis dilakukan terhadap dua lapis data yang dianalisis secara bersamaan berdasarkan tingkat pemahaman konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman konsep bervariasi dengan dominasi Paham Sebagian dan Miskonsepsi (33,82%) untuk Hukum II Kepler dan Paham Sebagian (42,65%) untuk Hukum III Kepler. Penelitian mendapatkan 14 bentuk miskonsepsi berkaitan dengan kecepatan, perioda, dan jarak orbit benda langit mengitari bintangnya dan pengaruh massa serta bentuk orbit ter-hadap variabel kecepatan, perioda, dan jarak orbit. Sebelas miskonsepsi belum dilaporkan pada penelitian sebelumnya. Pembelajaran tradisional tidak berhasil dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep karena berorientasi pada penguasaan rumus dan penghafalan fakta. Perlu inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep, miskonsepsi, hukum Kepler, IPBAAbstractThis study was aimed at investigating the level of understanding of the concepts and misconceptions of teacher students in Kepler's law. The research subjects were 68 students participating in the Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) course. The sample was chosen based on the purposive sampling technique. The collection and analysis of the data used a mixed-method, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The instrument used was a two-tear test in the form of ranking and explanation. The analysis was carried out on two layers of data which were then analyzed simultaneously based on an analysis of the level of conceptual understanding. The results show that the level of concept understanding varied with the dominance of Partial Understanding and Misconception (33.82%) for Kepler's Law II and Partial Understanding (42.65%) for Kepler's Law III. The study found 14 forms of misconception related to the velocity, period, and orbital distance of celestial bodies around the star and the effect of mass and orbital shape on variable velocity, period, and orbital distance. Eleven misconceptions have not been reported in previous studies. The failure of conventional learning in improving understanding of concepts is due to the application of traditional approaches that are oriented towards mastering formulas and memorizing facts. Learning innovation is needed to improve the mastery of concepts.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) adanya pengaruh pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan literasi sains materi pesawat sederhana, dan (2) peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Gelumbang, Sumatera Selatan pada siswa kelas VIII 1. Metode penelitian yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan one group pretest posttest design. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan N-gain. Hasil penelitian diperoleh thitung=26,766 > ttabel=2,069 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains materi pesawat sederhana. Peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa sebesar 0,4 termasuk kategori sedang.

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 memberikan tantangan bagi guru untuk mampu merencanakan dan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yang mampu memfasilitasi pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui aspek validitas bahan ajar elektronik materi listrik arus searah (DC) bagi siswa kelas XII SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Tahap evaluasi menggunakan tahapan evaluasi Tessmer namun hanya sampai tahap expert review. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022 di SMA Pusri Palembang. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Pusri Palembang. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar validasi ahli materi, desain, dan bahasa. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan mencari rerata masing-masing aspek selanjutnya mengkategorikan kriteria kevalidannya. Hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil uji validasi ahli aspek materi, bahasa, dan desain masing-masing secara berurutan memperoleh skor 88%, 90%, dan 98% serta semua aspek termasuk kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka bahan ajar elektronik materi listrik arus searah (DC) layak digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA terpadu pada anak dengan gangguan pendengaran beserta kesulitan yang dihadapi selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengambilan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Langkah selanjutnya yaitu melakukan analisis data melalui tahap reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran di SMPLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dengan menyesuaikan keterbatasan peserta didik dan proses pembelajarannya merupakan pembelajaran tematik. Selanjutnya, penguasaan pengetahuan akademik tidak menjadi fokus utama dalam pembelajaran di SMPLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang, namun lebih ke penguasaan keterampilan peserta didik. Kesulitan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di kelas dikarenakan: keterbatasan peserta didik dalam mengingat materi dan mempelajari materi yang bersifat abstrak, dan terbatasnya media dan alat peraga pembelajaran khususnya untuk pembelajaran praktik.
