Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to : 1) find out the enhancement ability of the problem solving and mathematical communication, 2) the interaction between the learning model and the level of the students’ ability toward the enhancement ability of problem solving and mathematical communication. The data were collective through tes and interview. The data were analyzed quantitatively using a t-test and Two Ways Anova. The result show that the enhancement ability of problem solving and mathematical communication of the students’ who acquired the Reflective learning model is bettter than students who received the conventional learning, according to the whole student or students’ ability level. There is no interaction between the learning model and level of students’ ability toward the enhancement ability of problem solving and mathematical communication. Its mean that theenhancement of students ability is affected by the application of the learning model.Keywords: Reflective Learning, problem solving ability, mathematical communication ability

Abstract

AbstrakTeknologi informasi dan komunikasi sekarang ini berkembang dengansangat cepat. Dampak dari perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi juga dapat dirasakan dalam dunia pendidikan, seperti pemanfaatan sistem e learning. Blended learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengkombinasikan antara pembelajaran tatap muka dan pembelajaran e-learning. Makalah ini membahas lebih dalam lagi tentang Blended Learning, termasuk kelebihan dan kekurangannya, dan mengetahui proses pengaplikasian Blended Learning pada mata kuliah Kalkulus 1 di kelas 1C Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang Tahun Akademik 2014/2015.Kata kunci: Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, Blended Learning, Kalkulus 1.

Abstract

Abstrak- Keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam belajar ditentukan antara lain dari aspek internal. Kenyataan menunjukkan masih ada mahasiswa belajar tanpa melakukan perencanaan, pemantauan, pengontrolan dan evaluasi dalam belajar. Mahasiswa mengerjakan tugas tidak tepat waktu, mengakui tugas orang lain sebagai kepunyaannya, dan tidak belajar secara kontinu di rumah. Ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa belum memiliki kemandirian belajar yang baik, yang tentunya akan memberikan kemungkinan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajarnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak ada pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan metode korelasional, dengan mengumpulkan data angket kemandirian belajar dan tes hasil belajar. Dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi produk moment. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ada pengaruh yang signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa.kata kunci:Kemandirian belajar, Hasil belajar

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika pada mata kuliah Statistika Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dengan fokus penelitian pada identifikasi kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini melibatkan 29 orang mahasiswa semester 3 yang mengontrak mata kuliah Statistika Dasar pada Program Studi Fisika di salah satu Universitas dalam kota Palembang Tahun Akademik 2016/2017. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam penelitian ini menggunakan indikator yang dikemukakan oleh Polya yaitu (1) memahami masalah (2) merencanakan strategi pemecahan, (3) menyelesaikan permasalahan dan (4) memeriksa kembali hasil pemecahan. Hasil investigasi menunjukkan bahwa: (1) mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memahami masalah seperti mahasiswa tidak dapat mengerti apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan dalam permasalahan, mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memahami informasi yang disajikan dalam bentuk diagram, (2) mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memilih strategi pemecahan masalah. Kesulitan mahasiswa pada tahap pemecahan masalah ini mengakibatkan mahasiswa tidak bisa melanjutkan ke tahap pemecahan masalah yang lebih tinggi.kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Hasil Belajar, Konsep Statistik.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral berbasis Maple. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-experimental dengan nonequivalent pre-test and post-test control-group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika pada salah satu PTS di kota Palembang, yang terdiri dari 61 orang. Berdasarkan pembelajaran, sampel dibedakan dalam dua kelas, kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberikan pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral berbasis Maple, sedangkan kelas pembanding diberikan pembelajaran konvensional. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui tes pengetahuan awal matematika dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Data dianalisis secaradeskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa yang mendapat pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral berbasisMaple lebih baikdaripada mahasiswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional.Keywords—kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis; kalkulus integral; maple

Abstract

This study aimed at determining whether there is influence of learning model Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) to the ability of mathematical representation of students of SMP Negeri 2 Muara Sugihan. The ability of this mathematical representation includes 3 indicators of mathematical representation 1) in the form of diagrams, graphs, tables and drawings, 2) Mathematical equations or expressions and, 3) written words or texts. The method used in this research was posttest only control design model. The population in this study were the entire class VIII in SMP Negeri 2 Muara Sugihan. The sample were taken in this research for experimental class was class VIII 2 was given approach of Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) and control class VIII 3 was given expository learning. Technique of collecting data in this research was written test. Data analysis technique used was T-test. This test refers to an indicator of the ability of a mathematical representation. Based on the calculation results obtained tcalcule = 5.836 and ttable = 1.998. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) model of mathematical representation of students of SMP Negeri 2 Muara Sugihan.

Abstract

Set theory has a wide role in mathematical concepts. Students have to understand the set theory before learning other concepts such as algebra and probability. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the students’ mathematical representation in set theory topics. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment design. The populations in this study were 289 students of 7th grade at Secondary School in Palembang. The sample of this study were students of class 7.8 (control group) and 7.10 (experimental group). Data were collected through tests, interviews, and documentation. Based on data analysis, known that PBL affects the students’ mathematical representation. Students who had the PBL model get the better score of mathematical representation. They could use the symbol of set correctly, represent the set into Venn diagram correctly and they also could explain their answer. Furthermore, the implementation of the PBL model is offered.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the students’ mathematical representation ability through the implementation of Maple in learning definite integral and those with ordinary learning. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was students of 2nd semester of Mathematics Education Program at PGRI Palembang University Academic year 2017/2018. The sample in this study were students of class II.A and II.B, class II.A as a control group and class II.B as experiment group. Data were collected through a test of mathematical representation ability. Data in this study were analyzed through descriptive quantitative. The result of this study showed that students’ mathematical representation ability through implementation Maple in learning definite integral better than those who get the ordinary learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to study enhancement of solving ability of student SMP Negeri 3 Muara Enim  through Situation Based Learning (SBL) system. The method of this research is quasi experiment with pretest and posttest group design. Pupulation in this research that is  all class VIII  SMP N 3 Muara Enim, taken sample taken of two classed that class VIII.D many as 28 students as a class of experiment  that  get Situation Based Learning (SBL) system, and class VIII.C as much  29 students as a control class get conventional learning system. The instrument used in this study it test mathematical problem solving abilities in the form of essay questions that have been empirically validated. Data analysis uses N-Gain test and T test (Independent Sample t-Tes), with a prerequisite test first namely the test for normality and homogeneity. Based on the analysis of the data, the results obtained in this study stated that an increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of student of SMP Negeri 3 Muara Enim who obtained a Situation Based Learning (SBL) system was higher than students who received conventional learning. Keywords :Situation Based Learning (SBL), Mathematical Problem Solving Ability
