Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the effectiveness of PKN learning towards the development of student nationalism in Manggarai Regency. By knowing the effectiveness of PKN learning, the government and educational institutions should specifically pay attention to the whole process of organizing learning. This type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative conducted in schools from elementary school to high school in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques include the analysis of student responses and activities. Based on the results of research students in Manggarai Regency have an attitude of nationalism known thanks to the learning PKN obtained during their education. The spirit of student nationalism is reflected in the attitude of creating harmony in religious life, upholding the law, being active in national development and feeling proud as an Indonesian citizen.

Abstract

A phenomenon indicates that college graduates steadily increase every year. The increasing number is not in line with the availability of employment.Moreover, Indonesian education institutions have not prepared their graduates for work. In thiscase, there is a mismatch between the college outputs, the demand of economic development , and thequality of graduates under the demand of job requirement . Based on the phenomenon, educationalinstitutions should be handled by customer-based management concept. Customer-based education managementis the management of educational institutionwhich producesoutputs for the satisfaction of customers.Some characteristics educational outputs are intelligent, skilled and humane.For the sake of that,the educational intitutions must consider the quality of education strategic manajement including themanajement of cognitive and skill. Abstract

Good governance adalah penyelenggaraan pemerintahan negara yang solid dan bertanggung jawab, efisien dan efektif, dengan menjaga kesinergisan interaksi yang konstruktif di antara ketiga domain; negara, swasta, dan masyarakat. Prinsip-prinsip yang terkandung dalam good governance merupakan tolak ukur suatu pemerintahan dikatakan sebagai pemerintahan yang baik. Ada beberapa prinsip good governance yaitu partisipasi, transparansi, akuntabilitas, responsivitas, keadilan, penegakan hukum, efektivitas dan efisiensi, dan visi strategis. Sedangkan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah merupakan paradigma baru pendidikan yang memberikan otonomi luas pada tingkat sekolah dalam kerangka kebijakan pendidikan nasional. Korelasi antara good governance dengan MBS adalah bagaimana menerapkan prinsip-prinsip good governance ke dalam MBS. Implementasi good governance erat kaitannya dengan pelaksanaan kebijakan publik dalam konteks sebuah negara demokrasi yang berintikan partisipasi dan kerjasama semua elemen negara (pemerintah, swasta, dan warga negara). Sekolah merupakan salah satu organisasi publik dengan mana seluruh kebijakan yang dihasilkannya berkaitan dengan massa atau publik. Pada aras ini, suatu kebijakan publik di sekolah tidak bisa terelakkan dari tuntutan untuk mengimplementasikan suatu praktek good governance

Abstract

Keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran sangat bergantung pada kemampuan guru menerapkan strategi, metode, pendekatan dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa sehingga materi pelajaran mudah dipahami siswa. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran adalah model pembelajaran cooperative tipe Jigsaw. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw  adalah suatu tipe pembelajaran kooperatif yang mendorong siswa aktif dan saling membantu dalam menguasai materi pelajaran untuk mencapai prestasi yang maksimal. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SDK Mukun 1 metode ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional lainnya.

Abstract

Kecemasan komunikasi merupakan gejala yang lumrah ada dalam diri setiap manusia,namun tetap merupakan suatu bahaya yang mengancam kualitas individu dalam membangunkomunikasi dengan sesamanya. Kecemasan komunikasi sebagai suatu reaksi negatif dalam diriindividu berupa kecemasan ketika hendak berkomunikasi baik komunikasi antara pribadi, komunikasi di depan umum, di media massa dan sebagainya. Sebagai suatu reaksi negatif maka kecemasan komunikasi cenderung mendatangkan suasana yang mengancam aura-aura positif dalam diri untuk terus berkembang melalui hubungannya dengan yang lain. Karena itu sebagai reaksi negatif maka kecemasan komunikasi harus dihilangkan. Dan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untukmembangkitkan keberanian komunikasi dalam diri peserta didik adalah melalui metode pembelajaranberbasis student center learning. Student center learning merupakan metode pembelajaran yangberpusat pada peserta didik dimana secara aktif, inovatif, kreatif dan bertanggung jawab dalamkeseluruhan proses belajar. Melalui metode student centered learning, peserta didik mampu memiliki karakter pribadi yang tidak takut berkomunikasi, melahirkan konsep diri yang memiliki keyakinan akan kemampuan dalam diri untuk berkomunikasi di depan publik dan memiliki kompetensi yang dibutuhkan untuk dapat berkomunikasi.

Abstract

Communication anxiety is commonly experienced by human being. Anxiety is the emotion characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil, often by nervous behavior. Itis, however, a threat which impedes and affects individuals in building quality of communication with others. Anxiety may also occur to a personin interpersonal communication. Therefore, it should be well treated by encouraging the students’ bravery in communication. Student-centered learning (SCL) is a cooperative learning which emphasizes the students’ participation and engagement in learning process. By this method, the learners are able to develop their character and self-efficacy in performing public communication.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa SDK Mukun 1. Keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran sangat bergantung pada kemampuan guru menerapkan strategi, metode, pendekatan dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa sehingga materi pelajaran mudah dipahami siswa. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran adalah model pembelajaran cooperative tipe Jigsaw. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw adalah suatu tipe pembelajaran kooperatif yang mendorong siswa aktif dan saling membantu dalam menguasai materi pelajaran untuk mencapai prestasi yang maksimal. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SDK Mukun 1 metode ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional lainnya.

Abstract

Communication anxiety is a tendency to experience anxiety when trying to communicate in a certain situation. Within the scope of education, communication anxiety affects the academic achievement of students. Therefore, this study aims to describe communication strategies in learning to overcome communication anxiety. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The stages that are passed include: first, measuring the level of student communication anxiety. Second, identify the factors that cause student communication anxiety. Third, designing communication strategies in learning to overcome student communication anxiety. Based on the research findings, it is known that: first, the majority of UNIKA Santu Paulus Ruteng students are at the level of communication anxiety in the medium category. A total of 3.32% are in a very high level of anxiety and as many as 30.16% are not experiencing communication anxiety. Second, the causes of student communication anxiety are influenced by internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include knowledge, skills and self-concept. While external factors include environmental motivation, past experiences, learning from parents, communication situations and assessment factors. Third, because there are learning strategies that can be applied to overcome communication anxiety in students, among others, through creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, accompanied by humor and not tense; the use of student-centered learning methods; build relationships/closeness with students; and adheres to the principle of flexibility in the learning process.

Abstract

Marine debris is a waste product found in the sea, whether intentionally disposed of or not. This type of plastic waste is the most commonly found in the sea.Plastic waste that found in the ocean will degrade into micro-plastics. Micro-plastics can cause harm to marine organisms and even reach humans through food chain events. In order to reduce the dangers and impacts, it is necessary to introduce the management of coastal areas as part of the ecosystem, through socialization activities to coastal communities. The results of the activities showed interest and positive responses from the community. In addition, the knowledge about the concepts of marine debris, micro-plastics and ecosystems and their relationships has also increased by i.e., of 76%.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum was born as an answer to the weaknesses and shortcomings of the 2006 KTSP curriculum which is directed to prepare students to have the ability to live as individuals and citizens who are faithful, productive, creative, innovative, and affective and able to contribute to the life of society, nation, state, and world civilization. And the purpose of this study is to determine the problems of implementing the 2013 curriculum in Manggarai region, NTT. This research is a type of qualitative research conducted at educational institutions from elementary to high school levels in Manggarai region, NTT. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentary studies. The data analysis technique refers to the data analysis model used by B. Mathew Miles and A. Michael Huberman consisting of three activities, namely; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion / verification. The results showed that there were several opportunities for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Manggarai region, NTT, namely the thematic-integrative approach, the scientific approach and authentic assessment. While the challenges are a thematic approach based on local culture, challenges in making lesson plans, challenges in implementing learning and challenges in making assessments.
