Abstract

Internalization of Character Values through Scout Extracurricular Activities (Case Study at SDK Wae Kajong). Humans with good character are the product of an educational process. Both formal and non-formal education. One of the formal education institutions that tries to produce with good character is basic education. One of the activities in basic education institutions, especially in elementary schools, which is full of internalization of good character values, is scouting extra-curricular activities. The purpose of this study was to describe the character values ​​that were developed and internalized through scout extracurricular activities at SDK Wae Kajong. This research is a qualitative research, case study design. The data sources of this research were human and non-human data sources. The collection techniques used were: (1) in-depth interviews, (2) observation, and (3) documentation study. The key instrument in this study is the researcher himself. Data were analyzed in three sub-processes, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity and credibility of the data, the researchers examined the data by using triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that the values are fostered and lived through the scouts, in SDK Wae Kajong is confident, creative, conscientious, cooperative, communicative, dialogue, solution thinking, caring for nature, respect for others, self-contained, low liver, tolerant, strong, simple, solider, disciplined, neat, polite, agile, responsibility, leadership, self-control, to hear right of others, concentration, obey the rules, and curious .

Abstract

One aspect that needs to be considered in writing narrative texts is grammar. Mastery of grammar, for language learners, is very important especially in writing narrative texts. One of the web applications that can help academics and language learners, in checking language, especially grammar in narrative text writing, is the automatic grammar checker. An automatic grammar checker is a web application that can check the grammar in a written work. This research was to determine student perceptions of Grammarly application in checking grammar in writing narrative texts. The approach used to describe the focus of this research is a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in July 2019. The population of this research was the third-semester students of English Education the Department, STKIP YPUP Makassar, in the 2018/2019 school year. The total number of the population is 90 students. To get the research sample, the researcher used the purposive sampling technique. The research sample amounted to 10 people. Data collection techniques used in this research are technical tests and filling out questionnaires. The reason of researcher used technical tests and filling out questionnaires so that data more representative, valid, and accurate. There are two questionnaires used by the researcher in this research, namely the first open-ended questions and the second closed question. After the data was collected, the researcher then analyzed the data. The process of data analysis: checked and read the result of questionnaires, analyzed and reduced questionnaire data descriptive, and finally describe data and information in the form of the final report on the research result In this research, it was found that students had a positive perception of using the Grammarly application to check grammar in writing narrative texts. The respondents said that they strongly agree to use the Grammarly application in checking grammar in their narrative text writing. They are very satisfied with the quality of this application in checking the grammar in their writing.

Abstract

Agar sekolah tetap eksis, great dan excellence, maka perlu melakukan upaya pengembangan. Sekolah melakukan pengembangan karena adanya tuntutan dari pihak internal dan eksternal sekolah, serta tantangan globalisasi. Tuntutan tersebut antara lain perlunya melakukan perubahan aspek-aspek: pengajaran/kurikulum, SDM, tata kelola lembaga, teknologi/fasilitas, dan pengaturan lingkungan fisik sekolah. Rencana tersebut terlaksana, apabila sekolah memiliki sumber daya yang cukup memadai, antara lain: human resources; financial resources; physical resources; informational resources. Adapun hal-hal yang perlu disiapkan dalam rencana tersebut, yakni asesmen lingkungan, identifikasi pelanggan, merumuskan visi, misi, prinsip, nilai-nilai, tujuan dan sasaran.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan epistemologi John Locke dan relevansinya untuk kontek kita saat ini. Ada empat poin yang akan menjadi penjelasan tentang epistemologinya, yaitu: pertama, gagasan tentang konsep; kedua, konsep pengetahuan; ketiga, kepastian pengetahuan manusia; dan keempat, konsep penilaian, kebenaran, dan kesalahan. Poin terakhir adalah rangkaian epistemologi Jhon Locke yang relevan untuk konteks kita.

Abstract

Salah satu unsur budaya yang menjadi aset orang Manggarai adalah seni musik tradisional. Bagi generasi sekarang, aset budya ini cenderung termajinalisasi. Rasa cinta anak-anak Manggarai untuk bermain music tradisional makin memudar. Partisipasi anak-anak dalam membawakan music tradisional budaya Manggarai memprihatinkan. Anak-anak kurang mengenal birama musik tradisional Manggarai seperti takitu, kedendit, concong, mbata, ndundu ndake, mumere. Jika fenomena ini terus dibiarkan maka lambat laun generasi anak Manggarai kehilangan warisan kekayaan leluhur yang sangat berharga. Kegiatan Pengadian kepada Masyarakat  PkM) ini dimaksudkan untuk menumbuhkembangkan dan melestarikan musik tradisional Manggarai. Selain itu, kegiatan PkM ini juga dimaksudkan untuk memperkuat dan meningkatkan kecakapan motorik anak SD Barang Cibal, melalui pelatihan birama music tradisional Manggarai: ndundu ndake, concong, kedindit, dan takitu. Kegiatan ini didasarkan pada analisis situasi problematik yang dihadapi mitra, anak-anak SD di Kampung Barang Cibal. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan edukasi melalui pelatihan. Metode yang dipakai adalah pelatihan yang dikemas dalam suasana fun learning. Tempat pelatihan dipusatkan di rumah gendang, rumah adat Manggarai, kampong Barang Cibal. Dalam proses pelaksanaannya, kegiatan pelatihan ini melewati beberapa tahap: persiapan; rancangan kegiatan PkM; dan pelaksanaan

Abstract

Everyone would agree that upholding discipline is important. In fact, many students are undisciplined. Discipline is not an innate trait. It must be fought for, trained and accustomed. School is one of the formal institutions that are obliged to train and get used to a disciplined life. T eacher is one component in schools that play a strategic role in training and getting used to disciplined life. This essay proposes several theoretical-solution concepts about teacher strategies in training and teaching students to live disciplined lives. As for the focus of the study, the teacher's strategy, in this article: teaches, familiarizes, guides, sets an example, enforces rules, gives punishment and sanctions, and conducts monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

The people of Manggarai as part of one of the community groups certainly have habits. These habits can become the uniqueness and wealth of the Manggarai people. The customary practices carried out by the Manggarai community certainly contain positive meaning and benefit for the common good of the Manggarai community. One of the habits that is often done by most people is kumpul kope. The practice of kumpul kope displayed by the Manggarai community certainly contains positive meaning and benefits for the common good of the Manggarai community. This study aims to explore and find positive values ​​hidden behind the habit of kumpul kope carried out by the community in Lalong village, South Lembor sub-district, West Manggarai Regency. This research design uses a qualitative approach with observation and interview techniques. Data from observations and interviews were then processed with the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that kumpul kope is a habit by the people of Lalong village, South Lembor District, West Manggarai. In general, kumpul kope aims to raise money in order to help the prospective groom in financing the marriage process. More than that, the kumpul kope rite actually puts forward the application of togetherness, economic, solidarity and social values ​​for the community.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kurikulum merupakan salah satu alat untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan dan sebagai pedoman dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada jenjang pendidikan. Kurkulum yang kini diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah dasar adalah kurikulum 2013 yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran tematik integratif. Dalam penerapan kurikulum 2013 ini tidak terlepas dari masalah-masalah yang menjadi pengham bat kelancaran proses pembelajaran, sementara tuntutan kurikulum 2013 adalah menjadikan peserta didik yang baik secara kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran tematik integratif di kelas rendah dan menguraikan problematika implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran tematik integratif di kelas rendah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah peneliti lakukan di kelas rendah, ditemukan bahwa implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran tematik integratif di kelas rendah belum berjalan dengan optimal. Peneliti menemukan bahwa di kelas rendah hanya dua kelas yang melakukan proses pembelajaran tematik yaitu kelas II dan III. Sedangkan kelas I kegiatan pembelajaran masih berfokus pada latihan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa guru dalam proses pembelajaran juga tidak sepenuhnya melakukan pembelajaran yang dituntut dalam kurikulum 2013, guru masih menggunakan metode konvensional dalam mengajar, tidak menerapkan pendekatan saintifik, guru juga tidak menyiapkan RPP dalam pembelajaran kecuali guru kelas II, guru juga masih bingung terkait penyusunan RPP serta pembuatan evaluasi pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada pembelajaran tematik integratif di kelas rendah belum berjalan dengan efektif karena masih ditemukan problematika yang menghambat kelancaran proses pembelajaran tematik integratif.
