Abstract

Community Service Activities by the PkM Team on behalf of the Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng institution along with alumni illustrate concern and a sense of humanity towards others. The Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng Institute was present among the victims of natural disasters in Lembata Regency to ease the burden of their suffering. The presence of the PkM team in social and humanitarian activities, namely distributing and delivering aid directly to victims of natural disasters is a picture of humans as social beings. With the strength of coordination and action, the PkM team demonstrated the presence of the academic community of Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng as a missionary institution that provided relief and consolation for the victims.

Abstract

This study aims to determine. 1) the relationship between emotional intelligence and students' mathematical reasoning abilities; 2) understand the relationship between interest in learning mathematics with mathematical punishment abilities; and 3) understanding the simultaneous relationship between emotional intelligence and mathematics learning interest on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The method used is correlational. The population is students of class VIII 10 Ruteng Middle School, Ruteng sub-district, Mangarai regency, NTT province, which holds 225 students. With the random technique obtained by 70 students as a sample, then using a proportional random sampling technique obtained samples from each class that is ten students. The instrument used consisted of questionnaires and description test questions. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple conversion. The results showed that; 1) There is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence with students, with a contribution of 23.3%; 2) there is a significant relationship between the interest in learning mathematics with the level of students, with a contribution of 16%; 3) there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and interest in learning mathematics with mathematical punishment, with a contribution of 30.2%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi pembelajaran “Smart Literacy Science” berbasis Android dan mengetahui kelayakan aplikasi dari segi materi, media, dan keterbacaan. Pengembangan aplikasi ini dilandasi dari tren pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat pintar (m-learning) yang berdampak positif terhadap keterampilan literasi digital di abad 21. Penggunaan mobile learning (m-learning) untuk praktik yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sains siswa dan ketelitian. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Aplikasi dengan ekstensi APK / android merupakan sistem operasi smartphone yang paling banyak digunakan di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi dari dua model pengembangan yaitu ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation) dan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) yang menghasilkan model pengembangan ADDIED (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementasi, Evaluasi & Diseminasi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi pembelajaran “Smart Literacy Science” sudah menggunakan basis operasi Android. Aplikasi ini berisi materi pelajaran (video, desain praktis, dan laboratorium virtual) dan sistem evaluasi diri. Aplikasi ini sudah diuji kelayakan dari segi materi, media, dan keterbacaan, di mana hasil analisis data menggunakan rumus Aiken-V di atas 0,7. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Aplikasi Literasi Cerdas berbasis Android layak digunakan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan ilmiah siswa.

Abstract

The government implements private madrasa in order to improve Islamic education services. The strengthening of the existence of madrasa is inseparable from the participation of stakeholders. Especially in the fields of managerial, human resources, and infrastructure. The combination of a traditional Islamic education system with a modern Islamic education system is an appropriate alternative policy. This study aims to describe the concept of education management in the madrasa, the role of stakeholders, and the influence of madrasa enforcement on the implementation of education quality improvement in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. This research is a case study with an interpretive or post positivistic approach. The findings of this study are the establishment of madrasa has a positive effect on the madrasah management which is more transparent, accountable, collaborative, coordinative, and while maintaining the characteristics of madrasas. Cooperative Participation Management based on religiosity become model of education quality improvement in MAN 2 Manggarai.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) produce android learning media which was reasonable for physics learning in SMA, and (2) examine the effectiveness of android learning media to increase student's Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and open attitude. This research used R&D methods with 4D models consisting of (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Developt, and (4) Disseminate. The resulted product is android learning media. The data were collected by using an observation sheet of learning media, a test of HOTS, a questionnaire of open attitude, questionnaire of student’s responses. The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics, N-Gain analysis, multivariate test statistic Hotelling’s T2, and effect size analysis. The result of this research produced android learning media which: (1) was reasonable to increase students HOTS and open attitude with very good category based on expert, teachers, and good category based the response of students, and (2) effective to increase students HOTS and open attitude significantly by effect size analysis.

Abstract

Comic-style Student Worksheets (LKS) are worksheets that contain information and instructions from the teacher to students to work on a particular experiment presented by displaying comics while illustrated student worksheets are student worksheets that provide information and instructions from the teacher to students to work on one specific experiment presented with pictures. The use of LKS in this study is supported by applying the CLIS learning model that is a learning model that seeks to develop students' ideas or ideas based on the results of observations or experiments using LKS. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there were significant differences in science process skills between students taught using comic-style LKS on the CLIS learning model with students taught using illustrated worksheets in the CLIS learning model and to find out whether students' science process skills were taught using comic LKS on the CLIS learning model is higher than the students taught using illustrated worksheets in the CLIS learning model. The sample of this study was students of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class, with the research design Randomized Control Group Only Design and the research instruments used were text LKS, comic-style LKS, illustrated worksheets and observation sheets of students' science process skills. From the results of data analysis using the t-test, obtained: 1) there are significant differences in science process skills between students taught using comic-style LKS on the CLIS model with students taught using illustrated LKS on CLIS; 2) science process skills students taught using comic-style LKS on the CLIS learning model are higher than students explained using illustrated worksheets in the CLIS learning model.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop an Android-based learning application that is named worked example mechanics. This application was made for learning classical mechanics class IX Natural Sciences Program in Indonesia. This application is specifically designed to train and improve students' ability to draw and interpret Free Body Diagram (FBD). This application contains classic mechanic material content, animated learning of classical mechanics, drawing exercises and interpreting FBD and a self-evaluation system. This application has passed the feasibility test of both the material and the media by Yogyakarta Negeri University physics learning experts. The app is also useful in enhancing the ability to interpret FBD, in trials at Sekolah Menengah Atas 2 Kupang/SMAN 2 Kupang (State Senior High School 2 Kupang), SMAN 3 Kupang, SMA TIMPOLMAS Kupang and State Alyah Madrasah (MAN) 1 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon masyarakat terhadap implementasi pendidikan alternatif berbasis teknologi digital oleh komunitas ruang abstrak literasi di Desa Tallo Kota Makassar. Program digital dilaksanakan oleh komunitas Ruang Abstrak Literasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pihak yang terkait dengan pengembangan pendidikan alternatif berbasis masyarakat yang menjadi tempat penelitian, termasuk para pendiri dan staf serta relawan komunitas Literasi Ruang Abstrak dan penerima dampak pelaksanaan pendidikan alternatif berbasis masyarakat baik langsung dan tidak langsung dan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat. Ruang Abstrak Literasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan pendidikan alternatif berbasis teknologi digital mendapat respon yang sangat baik oleh masyarakat dan diharapkan dapat dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan (2) kendala dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan alternatif berbasis teknologi digital. teknologi digital adalah biaya dan sumber daya manusia.
