Abstract

Market  demands  on a more impressive entertainment media have motivated for delivery of three dimensional  (3D) audio content to  home consumers  through Ultra  High  Definition  TV  (UHDTV), the next generation of TV broadcasting, where spatial  audio  coding plays  fundamental role. This paper reviews fundamental concept on spatial audio coding which includes technology, standard, and application. Basic principle of object-based audio reproduction system  will also be elaborated, compared  to  the  traditional channel-based system, to provide good understanding on this popular interactive audio reproduction system which gives end users flexibility to render  their  own preferred  audio composition.Keywords : spatial audio, audio coding, multi-channel audio signals, MPEG standard, object-based audio

Abstract

Power electronic devices are the main component of the solar power generation system. This study proposes a web-based monitoring system which presents power electronic performance parameter in a real-time across an internet connection. The investigation takes ACS712 and PZEM-004T for the power converter performance measuring and Arduino Mega 2560 with an ethernet shield for data acquisition and transmission. This paper describes the schematic design of the hardware and also explains the software work-flow and structure. The test and calibration on the sensor's voltage and current to standard digital multi-meter Tektronix DMM4050 show the sensor able to accurately read the converter performance parameter and meet the standard IEC-61724. The functionality test on the web-based information system indicates the designed user interface to present the power electronic performance parameter of the solar power generator.Keywords: Monitoring System, Power Electronics and Solar Power

Abstract

MPEG Spatial Audio Object Coding (MPEG SAOC) is the first standard on object-based audio coding released by International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The MPEG SAOC has ability to reproduce multichannel audio at the decoder side. In this paper, performance of the MPEG SAOC on multichannel audio reproduction is analyzed and compared to MPEG Surround (MPS). The results show both MPEG SAOC and MPS have Objective Difference Grade (ODG) at impeceptible level. Abstract

MPEG Surround is one of the spatial audio codings that  popularly used. MPEG Surround is generally used at a low bitrate such as 64, 96 and 160 kbps. MPEG Surround can be used at high bitrates, but the audio quality produced in the bitrate is not yet fully known. This paper investigates the effect of increase bitrate toward the increase of  audio quality. The result showed a significant increase of the audio quality when the MPEG surround used in high bitrate. Accordingly, the MPEG Surround eligible for use in high bitrate to get better audio quality.Keywords : Spatial Audio Coding dan MPEG Surround Abstrak— MPEG Surround merupakan salah satu spatial audio coding yang populer digunakan. MPEG Surround umumnya digunakan pada bitrate rendah yaitu 64, 96, dan 160 kbps. MPEG Surround dapat digunakan pada bitrate tinggi, namun kualitas audio yang dihasilkan pada bitrate tersebut belum sepenuhnya diketahui. Paper ini menginvestigasi pengaruh kenaikan bitrate terhadap kenaikan kualitas audio. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas audio yang cukup signifikan saat MPEG Surround digunakan pada bitrate tinggi. Dengan demikian MPEG Surround layak digunakan pada bitrate tinggi untuk mendapatkan kualitas audio yang lebih baik.Kata Kunci :Spatial Audio Coding dan MPEG Surround

Abstract

Smarthome merupakan salah satu implementasi konsep Internet of Things (IoT) yang memungkinkan untuk mengontrol dan memonitoring perangkat elektronik melalui jaringan internet. Pada penelitian ini dirancang sebuah sistem smarthome yang mendukung sinkronisasi pengontrolan hidup dan matinya perangkat elektronik melalui switch, aplikasi web dan time scheduling dengan database. Untuk mendukung sistem tersebut digunakan beberapa tools pendukung seperti Apache, MySQL, dan PHP serta hardware berupa arduino dan raspberry pi.  Sementara itu, metode pemodelan agile dengan pendekatan scrum digunakan dalam perancangan sistem ini. Penelitian ini diimplementasikan dalam sebuah Sistem Informasi Manajemen Perangkat Elektronik berbasis web yang bernama SIMPEL. Aplikasi SIMPEL memberikan kemudahan dalam mengendalikan perangkat elektronik yang ada di rumah.

Abstract

Object-based audio technology is important for audio reproduction because of providing the users with an ability to change the audio composition. As a result, MPEG Spatial Audio Object Coding (SAOC) as an international standard for encoding object-based audio has been widely used in many applications. However, the object-based audio transmission scheme is different than conventional audio transmission technology, so the use of steganography in MPEG SAOC needs to be further studied. In this work, a steganography technique has been developed based on Improved Spread Spectrum (ISS). There are two embedding configurations used in this study: embedding on MPEG SAOC audio objects and embedding on MPEG SAOC downmix signals. The performance of these two embedding configurations was analyzed by measuring ISS embedding capacity. As a comparison to the ISS method on channel-based audio, the ISS is also applied to Advanced Audio Coding (AAC). Based on the experiments, the embedding capacity of both proposed configurations varies depending on the bandwidth of audio signals. However, the downmix signal has a capacity of 20% higher than the audio objects. Moreover, the ISS embedding capacity on the MPEG SAOC downmix signal is similar to the embedding capacity on the AAC.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi (ICT) sebagai media promosi dan komunikasi di Indonesia sangat dibutuhkan. Kondisi ini memberi peluang kepada masyarakat untuk lebih memanfaatkan teknologi baik di gunakan pada instansi pemerintahan maupun swasta. Hal ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemajuan akan kreatifitas ICT untuk lebih dikembangkan. Pengunaan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi (ICT) terutama teknologi berbasis android dengan menggunakan internet merupakan cara yang inovatif dalam melaksanakan berbagai macam kreatifitas yang dapat dilakukan di berbagai sektor. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis android, maka dapat dilakukan berbagai kegiatan secara elektronik seperti running text, media forum, email, mailing list dan berbagai aktifitas lainnya. Mushalla Alfaizin adalah tempat shalat berjamah yang dilakukan oleh sebagian kecil masyarakat yang terletak di RT 04 / RW 07 Aie Pacah Padang,  merupakan salah satu tempat ibadah umat muslim yang masih belum menggunakan teknologi berbasis android, sehingga proses mengupdate informasi belum dapat dilakukan dengan teknologi.  Agar Jamah Mushalla Alfaizin dapat juga merasakan perkembangan teknologi, maka tim pengabdian dari KBK telekomunikasi Jurusan Teknik Elektro Unand, memberikan pelatihan penggunaan teknologi berbasis android, berbentuk running text sebagai media update informasi kegiatan di Mushalla AlFaizin Aie Pacah. Running Text ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan jamah membaca perubahan setiap informasi, jika sewaktu waktu informasi ada yang terbaru.
