Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media using Instagram and determine its feasibility. This research method used Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model through 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research was conducted at SMA N 1 Ngemplak. The data collection technique used a validation questionnaire conducted by two teachers and one lecturer and students response questionnaire. The data analysis techniques were descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The result of this research was a derivative learning media in the form of videos presented through Instagram. The feasibility test results showed that the learning media had met three eligibility criteria for learning media. The assessment of media and material experts showed that learning-based Instagram media was in the good category. Based on students' assessment, learning media's feasibility based on Instagram social media was good to use. The correlation between the students response questionnaire and the learning outcome test also showed a unidirectional and significant correlation. It indicated that there was a correspondence between the questionnaire scores and the learning outcome test scores. Based on these results, learning media through Instagram social media is suitable for the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan tahapan pengembangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS)  matematika berbasis etnomatematika Kraton Yogyakarta, (2) Menghasilkan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) matematika berbasis etnomatematika Kraton Yogyakarta yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengembangkan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) matematika berbasis etnomatematika Kraton Yogyakarta kemudian menguji penerapannya pada pembelajaran. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data dalam penelitian berupa tes matematika dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Model Pengembangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp, (2) Produk yang dihasilkan berupa Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis etnomatematika Kraton Yogyakarta pada Materi Geometri, (3) Menghasilkan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) matematika berbasis etnomatematika Kraton Yogyakarta yang valid, praktis, dan efektif.Kata Kunci: Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS), Etnomatematika, Kraton Yogyakarta

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division cooperative learning model in terms of mathematics achievement. This type of research is an experimental study with a population of eighth grade students of SMP N 3 Bantul taken using cluster random sampling technique. research instruments use tests on the subject matter of opportunity. data analysis techniques using t-test by considering the assumption test for the test. From the results of the study it can be concluded that on learning achievement, the Student Teams Achievement Division model is more effectively used in learning mathematics in the material opportunities when compared with the direct learning model. related to this result, the Student Teams Achievement Division Model can be used as an alternative in learning mathematics, especially in the material opportunities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui: (1) manakah yang memberikan prestasi belajar lebih baik diantara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSatau pembelajaran langsung, (2) manakah yang mempunyai prestasi belajar lebih baik di antara siswa yang mempunyai kemandirian belajar tinggi, sedang, atau rendah, (3) pada masing-masing tingkatan kemandirian belajar (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah), manakah yang memberikan prestasi belajar lebih baik antara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS atau pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain factorial 2x3. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri Se-Kota Yogyakarta Semester I tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan carastratified cluster random sampling. Banyak sampel adalah 195 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah angket kemandirian belajar siswa dan tes prestasi belajar matematika. Uji coba angket meliputi validitas isi, konsistensi internal dan reliabilitas. Uji coba tes prestasi meliputi validitas isi, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda dan reliabilitas. Untuk uji normalitas menggunakan uji Lilliefors, uji homogenitas menggunakan uji barlett. Uji keseimbangan yang digunakan yaitu anava satu jalan dengan sel tak sama. Analisis tes prestasi matematika menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) Prestasi belajar matematika dengan model pembelajaran kooperatiftipe TPS memberikan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran langsung, (2) Siswa yang kemandirian belajarnya tinggi mempunyai prestasi belajar yang lebih baik daripada siswa dengan kemandirian belajar sedang dan rendah, sedangkan siswa yang kemandirian belajarnya sedang mempunyai prestasi belajar yang sama dengan siswa dengan kemandirian belajar rendah, (3) Pada siswa yang mempunyai kemandirian belajar tinggi, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS memberikan prestasi belajar yanglebih baik daripada model pembelajaran langsung. Selain itu, pada siswa dengan kemandirian belajar sedang dan rendah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan pembelajaran langsung memberikan prestasi belajar yang sama.

Abstract

Abstract.The education sector has also felt the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which can be said to be quite significant. The online learning policy launched by the government has been accepted and implemented by schools without careful planning. Teachers as the frontline in facilitating learning really feel the decline in the competence and quality of students' human resources, especially in mathematics subjects caused by students' relatively low critical thinking skills. This condition was complained by members of the Mathematics MGMP of Purworejo Regency. The complaint was then answered by the service team through community service activities by implementing a mathematics learning model to stimulate critical thinking. The purpose of implementing this massive learning model is to increase the innovation and competence of teachers of the Mathematics MGMP members of SMA Purworejo in implementing learning that can stimulate students' critical thinking skills. Community service activities will be carried out on December 21-24 2021 with the target of the Purworejo Mathematics MGMP. The stages of activities include socialization, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation. Through this activity, MGMP members gain a lot of knowledge related to learning models and students' critical thinking skills, gain inspiration and innovation in implementing mathematics learning, and through implementation in students, teachers can ultimately improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills. Abstrak. Sektor pendidikan turut merasakan dampak pandemi Covid-19 yang dapat dikatakan cukup signifikan. Kebijakan pembelajaran daring yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah diterima dan diimplementasikan oleh sekolah tanpa perencanaan yang matang. Guru sebagai garda terdepan dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran sangat merasakan turunnya kompetensi dan kualitas SDM siswa terutama pada mata pelajaran matematika yang diakibatkan oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang relatif rendah. Kondisi ini dikeluhkan oleh anggota MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Purworejo. Keluhan tersebut kemudian dijawab oleh tim pengabdi melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan implementasi model pembelajaran matematika untuk menstimulasi berpikir kritis. Tujuan kegiatan implementasi model pembelajaran secara massive ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan inovasi dan kompetensi guru anggota MGMP Matematika SMA Purworejo dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.  Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21-24 Desember 2021 dengan sasaran MGMP Matematika Purworejo. Adapun tahapan kegiatan meliputi  sosialisasi, diseminasi, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, anggota MGMP memperoleh banyak ilmu terkait model pembelajaran maupun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, memperoleh inspirasi dan inovasi dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika, serta melalui implementasi pada siswa pada akhirnya guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.

Abstract

Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) is one of the basic knowledge that pre -services teachers must-have. PCK explained how the teacher linked material knowledge with knowledge about teaching. By mastering PCK pre-services teachers are expected to carry out effective learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of pre-service mathematics teacher PCK. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were two pre-service teachers for the Mathematics Education Department at the Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. The instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, linear program test questions, and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique of this study used descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that based on indicators of PCK ability, pre-service teachers already knew and understood core competencies, basic competencies, and learning indicators and could make learning objectives, learning materials, reference sources, approaches, strategies, methods, and mathematical learning models. In addition, pre-service teachers can also make assessment plans, both the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains as well as the remedial and enrichment programs. Pre-service teachers are quite flexible and confident in teaching even though there are pre-service teachers who speak in small voices and the intonation has not varied. When viewed from the material side, the material provided by pre-service teachers to students is good even though there are still a few shortcomings. In general, pre-service teachers have a good understanding of content and pedagogical knowledge in theory, but implementation in planning and learning in class is still lacking

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi unsur etnomatematika Museum Kereta Kraton Yogyakarta dan mengintegrasikannya ke dalam pembelajaran matematika. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian eksploratif. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif, sumber data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur yang berkaitan dengan Museum Kereta Kraton Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-verifikatif, yaitu suatu metode induktif dalam penarikan kesimpulan dimana data dijadikan sebagai dasar untuk menyimpulkan gambaran umum keadaan objek kajian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur etnomatematika Museum Kereta Kraton Yogyakarta dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran matematika, diantaranya konsep luas bangun datar, volume bangun ruang, kesimetrisan, dan teselasi/pengubinan. Konsep-konsep tersebut dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika sebagai masalah kontesktual sekaligus sebagai salah satu cara mengenalkan unsur budaya kepada siswa sebagai upaya mengembangkan pendidikan karakter siswa.Ethnomathematics exploration at Museum of Kereta Kraton Yogyakarta and its integration in mathematics instructionAbstractThis study aims to identify the potential for integrating ethnomathematics at Yogyakarta, particularly the Museum of Kereta Kraton (Kraton Railway Museum) into mathematics learning. This type of research was a qualitative descriptive study. The data obtained in the form of qualitative data, the source of research data obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and study of literature related to Yogyakarta Kraton Railway Museum. The data collection technique was done by observing, interviewing, and documenting. The data analysis in this study used a qualitative-verification method, which is an inductive method of drawing conclusions where the data is used as a basis for concluding a general description of the state of the object of study. The results showed that the ethnomathematics of Yogyakarta Kraton Railway Museum has the potential to be integrated into mathematics learning. Ethnomathematics that can be integrated includes the concept of flat area, volume of space, symmetry, and tessellation /tiling. These concepts can be applied in mathematics learning as a contextual geometry problem as well as a way of introducing cultural elements to students.

Abstract

Education as a process of cultural transformation is a cultural inheritance from one generation to the next. Ethnomathematics can bridge the gap between culture and learning mathematics. One of the cultural elements to be integrated into mathematics learning is to use one of the cultural sites in Yogyakarta, namely the Shiva Temple. This is done to increase students' interest in culture through learning mathematics. Various cultural elements that can be studied at the Shiva Temple include buildings, architecture, ornaments, statues, etc. Besides being based on the ethnomathematics of Shiva Temple, the approach that can be used is Tamansiswa's teachings, namely Niteni, Nirokke, and Nambahi (3N). To facilitate students in learning the material for building flat sides, it is necessary to have interesting, fun, and culturally related teaching materials. Therefore, this study aims to describe the ethnomathematics-based teaching materials of Shiva Temple by applying the teachings of Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data were obtained through direct observation, interviews with the Prambanan temple tourism park manager, documentation, and literature study. The results obtained are the design of teaching materials that contain a summary of the material and practice questions regarding the shape of the flat side space in which there are many pictures of ornaments, and statues found in the Shiva Temple and written with the application of the teachings of Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Think Pair Share learning model assisted by comics was more effective than without using comics for the ability to solve mathematical problems. This research is included in quasi-experimental research because it has a control group, but it cannot function fully in controlling external variables that affect the implementation of the experiment. The population of this study was all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta in the second semester of 2018/2019 academic year. The sampling technique used is the Random Cluster technique. The results showed that the TPS-assisted comic-learning model was no more effective than the TPS-without comic-learning model in terms of mathematical problem-solving abilities

Abstract

This research is a learning media development research that aims to produce an online snake and ladder learning media "Interactive Mathematics Path" on the Bangun Datar material using an ethnomathematical approach. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method by adapting the 4D (four-D) development model. However, at the implementation stage, this research only reached the development stage by producing products that have been tested for validity and practicality. This research was conducted through four stages, namely (1) Defining, by analyzing the needs in learning, such as problem analysis, student analysis, concept analysis and analysis of learning objectives. (2) Design, by making prototypes (initial drafts of learning media) and research instruments. (3) Developing, by testing the product by validators and by students on a limited basis, then making improvements. The results of the validation of the learning media "Interactive Mathematics Path" are feasible with a slight revision and the percentage is 91.1%. The results of the limited trial show that the product of practice is used in learning with an average percentage of 88.4%.
