Abstract

In social media, it is found that hate speech is conveyed in the form of text, images and videos, as a result it can provoke certain people to do things that are against the law and harm other person. Therefore, it is necessary to make early detection of hate speech by utilizing machine learning algorithms. This study is to analyze the level of accuracy, precision, recall and F1-Score of 3 kinds of algorithms (SVM, XGBoost, and Neural Network) in the classification of hate speech, using datasets sourced from public hate speech on Twitter in Indonesian. The results of the analysis show that the SVM algorithm has a level of accuracy (83.2%), precision (83%), recall (83%) and F1-score (83%), SVM occupies the highest level compared to XGBoost and Neural Network, so the SVM algorithm can be considered for use in hate speech classification

Abstract

Pendidikan yang dibantu dengan media pembelajaran yang baik dipercaya mampu mempermudah siswa untuk memahami materi yang disampaikan. Media pembelajaran yang disusun dengan baik dan menarik merupakan salah satu alat bantu transfer ilmu kepada siswa dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran. Pada zaman teknologi digital ini, media pembelajaran online memiliki pengaruh dalam sistem pendidikan yaitu sebagai sumber belajar, hingga pada tahap penugasan dan ujian. Sekolah SMKN 5 Batam mengalami permasalahan selama melakukan pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional seperti keterlambatan penerimaan rapor hasil ujian disebabkan oleh kurangnya waktu yang diperlukan guru dalam memeriksa lembar ujian siswa satu-persatu. Sistem e-learning dan ujian berbasis web dipercaya dapat menjadi sebuah solusi terhadap masalah ini. Dalam pembuatan sistem digunakan metode SDLC waterfall yang terdiri dari tahapan analisis, desain, pengkodean dan pengujian. Dengan adanya sistem e-learning dan ujian berbasis web dapat membantu guru maupun siswa dalam proses ujian.

Abstract

Electronic money is one example of the development of digital technology. One example of electronic money in Indonesia is Link Aja. However, the use of the Link application is still rare, especially among students. This research aims to analyze the acceptance of electronic money for Batam city students. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The model used to analyze acceptance of electronic money in this study is TAM which consists of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived trust and perceived risk. The population in this study were students at 5 tertiary institutions in Batam City, namely 7,226, while the sample used was 100 students in 5 tertiary institutions in Batam City. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire made via Google Form media and will be distributed via social media such as Line, Whatsapp, Instagram. The data obtained will be analyzed using SPSS software. The results showed that the variables perceived convenience, perceived trust, and perceived satisfaction had a significant effect on students' interest in using LinkAja. While the perception of benefits has no significant effect on the user loyalty variable.

Abstract

Currently, Instagram is widely used as a media campaign for nationalism and feminism. There are several feminists and nationalist figures in Indonesia who also actively use Instagram social media, namely Retno Marsudi and Susi Pudjiastuti. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of Instagram as a media campaign for nationalism and feminism among teenagers in Batam City. This research is an interpretative qualitative research with Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis. Primary data sources were obtained from Instagram posts in the form of image snippets and image elements, captions and netizens, and comments contained in these Instagram posts. While secondary data obtained was from books, journals (online), and articles (online). Data collection in this study was obtained by using documentation techniques. The collected data were then analyzed by interpreting the two stages of sign from Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The results of the study show that feminism in Indonesia is considered very minimal when compared to nationalism. There is a gap between women and men. This is due to the strong culture and beliefs of the Indonesian people who think that women should not exceed men in various aspects.

Abstract

Pada industri pengembangan perangkat lunak yang telah bergeser dari model pengembangan tradisional menjadi model pengembangan agile-based yang mana metode agile digolongkan memiliki desain dan tugas yang terus berubah mengakomodasi kebutuhan user yang semakin kompleks dan dinamis. Oleh karena itu, seorang manajer perlu membuat banyak keputusan penting. Laporan skripsi ini dibuat untuk merancang sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat menunjang keputusan seorang manajer dalam menentukan pekerjaan yang perlu diprioritaskan dalam pengembangan aplikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam sistem pendukung keputusan adalah Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) yang mencari penjumlahan terbobot dari rating kinerja pada setiap alternatif pada semua atribut. Penilaian yang digunakan pada sistem pendukung keputusan adalah riiko, pengeluaran, penggunaan sumber daya, lama waktu penyelesaian dan keuntungan dari penyelesaian tugas.

Abstract

Rapid technological advances greatly help daily activity, so many people start using technology in their business. Maestro Jaya shop is one of the MSMEs located in Batam City, the shop owner has problems in producing financial reports either monthly or annually. So in this article, the author implements a system that supports daily activities at the store such as making invoices, payments, and journaling to get financial reports. The author uses the PHP programming language and waterfall as the development method. The final result of this research is a website application that has been used by the shop owner for the shop's daily activities.

Abstract

Writing Mandarin characters is considered the most challenging component for beginners due to the rules and character formations. This paper explores the potential of a machine learning-based digital learning tool for writing Mandarin characters. It also conducts a comparative study between MobileNetV2 and MobileNetV3, exploring different configurations. The research follows the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method to create both the application and machine learning models. Participants from higher education institutions that offer Mandarin courses in Batam, Indonesia, were involved in a User Acceptance Test (UAT). Data was gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using the System Usability Scale (SUS) methods. The results show positive user acceptance, with an SUS score of 77.92%, indicating a high level of acceptability. MobileNetV3Small was also preferred for recognizing the user’s handwriting, due to comparable accuracy size, rapid inference time, and smallest model size. While the application was well-received, several participants provided constructive feedback, suggesting potential improvements.
