Abstract

Music Education Model in Ensemble Form for Junior High School Students. There are two music education models applied in Junior High School, namely lecturing and task assigning. These two methods are unattractive for the students. Now, there is a new model that developing, the music ensemble model. The model is considered more interes11ng and interactive. However it still weak in terms of the instruction techniques. This writing describes a model of students group work in learning music. It is assumed that the model will promote the students' creativity, and also students ' aesthetic, ethic and artistic sensitiveness so that it will support the pupils' character building and other lessons as well. Keywords: Method, technique, music ensamble.

Abstract

The reason behind the research of Baroque era music interpretation analysis in The Trumpet Shall Sound by Handel is there are many trumpet players and music students who do not have deep understanding in interpreting the baroque era music correctly. The purpose of this research is to find out the music form and music structure from The Trumpet Shall Sound Song by Handel, also to find out the interpretation of trumpet music instrument in The Trumpet Shall Sound Song by Handel. The method used in this research is qualitative method research since there are no use of numbers as its data source. The research object is focused on the interpretation of the song itself by applying some theories i.e., music form, music structure, the rules of music interpretation of baroque era and the music expression of Baroque era. The data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis is from the interpretation which is analyzed through music interpretation rules of Baroque era which is expected to have an outcome by playing The Trumpet Shall Sound song by Handel with correct music interpretation of Baroque era.

Abstract

Upper structure adalah pendekatan voicing untuk mengembangkan akor, diaplikasikan kepada pianis dan komposer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaplikasikan improvisasi melodi menggunakan teknik pengembangan voicing. Terdapat pengembangan improvisasi melodi yang memiliki nada luas secara harmoni dan tertata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus, membedah kalimat upper structure dari seorang pemain dan mengaplikasikannya pada peneliti. Penelitian ini menghasilkan pengembangan improvisasi secara rangkaian praktis, teknik melodi , teknik akor dan teknik ritmis sebagai pelengkap improvisasi melodi.Upper structure is a voicing approach to developing chords, applied to pianists and composers. This study aims to apply melodic improvisation using the voicing development technique. There is a development of melodic improvisation that has broad tones in harmony and order. This study uses a case study qualitative research method, dissecting the upper structure of a player's musical sentence and applying it to the researcher. This research resulted in the development of improvisation in practical application, melodic techniques, chord techniques and rhythmic techniques as a complement to melodic improvisation.
