Abstract

ABSTRACT The Dinjo village community interprets ma muli not only as an award but also as a value for the rights of women who will marry the man who proposes to her. Mamuli is one form of artistic culture so the most appropriate approach to find out the symbolic meaning in mamuli is to use a semiotic approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the origin of the mamuli symbol, the process of determining the mamuli symbol, and the meaning of the mamuli symbol in the community of Dinjo Village, Kodi Bangedo District, Southwest Sumba Regency. The method used in this research is the case study method. The source of this research data comes from the results of interviews with informants. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the analysis stages of data collection, data presentation, reduction, and conclusion. The results show that the history of Mamuli culture begins with the ancestors of the Sumba tribe. The meaning of mamuli symbol is a symbol of fertility for women. Mamuli was created to pay homage to women who are considered the givers and caregivers of life. Mamuli means a place to grow the soul, the earth that grows plants that are useful for humans. Mamuli is the way society used to glorify women. The material for making mamuli is also gold which is considered a symbol of the sun, including precious objects until mamuli are called eye stones. Efforts to preserve the Sumbanese ma muli culture can be done in several ways. The first way is to include ma muli culture in history learning at school so that students can learn about their culture at school. Another way is to make mamuli replicas as souvenir items for tourists. In addition, the government can also build facilities for museums that can exhibit cultural products which will later become references for educators. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Multiple Intelligences toward learning achievement in college history and sociology department IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The method used in this study is the experimental method kind of explanatory research. The data obtained from the analysis of Multiple Intelligences questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. From the results of this research showed no significant difference between linguistic intelligence, logic and intra personal on learning achievement college student history and sociology department IKIP Budi Utomo. From the analysis of the data obtained coefficient R2 of 0.079 indicates variable linguistic intelligence, logic and intrapersonal have an influence on the learning achievement of 7.9% while the remaining 92.1% is influenced by other variables not examined. Suggestions from this research are expected to party institution is willing to conduct training on making and writing papers or scientific work so that students are able to make posts or tasks properly. were all students majoring history and sociology department IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.

Abstract

Riset ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis (1) relasi kognisi sejarah Indonesia dengan semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa prodi pendidikan sejarah IKIP Budi Utomo, (2) relasi antara nasionalisme dengan semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa prodi pendidikan sejarah IKIP Budi Utomo, (3) relasi kognisi sejarah Indonesia dan nasionalisme dengan semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa prodi pendiidkan sejarah IKIP Budi Utomo. Desain kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan berfokus pada model penelitian ex-post facto. Mekanisme pengumpulan data menggunaka instrumen dan angket. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji multikolineritas, uji heteroskedastisitas dan uji autokorelasi. Pada pengujian hipotesis menggunkan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) tidak ada hubungan antara kognisi sejarah Indonesia dengan semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa, hasil perhitungan variabel kognisi sejarah diperoleh nilai thit < ttab (0.291<1.977). (2) tidak ada korelasi antara nasionalisme dengan semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa, hasil perhitungan variabel menunjukkan thit < ttab (0.416<1.977). (3) tidak ditemukan korelasi antara kognisi sejarah dan nasionalisme dengan semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa, hal ini terlihat dari hasil pengujian Fhit < Ftab (0.117<3.06) dan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0.890>0.05. sehingga variabel kognisi sejarah Indonesia secara simultan tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap semangat kebangsaan mahasiswa prodi pendidikan sejarah IKIP Budi Utomo.
