Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi Declarative Acts dari siswa Jurusan Bahasa. Declarative Acts adalah salah satu jenis dari Speech Acts yang merubah dunia melalui ujaran dan melalui kata-kata (Yule, 2008), dengan kata lain itu merupakan cara mengekspresikan fakta-fakta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang memiliki 4 tujuan; yaitu mendescripsikan mavcam-macam Declarative Acts yang digunakan oleh siswa, mengidentifikasi gaya bahasa dari Declarative Acts siswa Jurusan Bahasa, mengidentifikasi kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam hal grammar dan diction, dan mengidentifikasi sebab dari kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dala Declarative Acts mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pancingan dan perekam, pedoman wawancara, dan catatan sebagai alat dalam mengumpulkan data. Kumpulan data kemudian ditulis kembali, dianalisis dan dikategorikan, dan kemudian hasilnya dideskripsikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa Jurusan Bahasa lebih sering menggunakan lima kategori Declarative Acts yang lebih dominan adalah to approve, then followed by to disapprove, to name, to call, and the last is to bless. Mereka juga tidak jauh dalam melakukan kesalahan. Mereka lebih sering melakukan kesalahan pada grammar dan diikuti oleh diction. Dari kesalahan-kesalahan siswa, ada lima penyebab kesalahan dalam Declarative Acts siswa; yaitu interlingual errors, ignorance of rule restrictions, incomplete application of rules, false concept hypothesized, and developmental errorsKata Kunci : Speech Acts, Declarative Acts, siswa Jurusan Bahasa This study aimed to identify the Declarative Acts of Language Program students. Declarative Acts are those kinds of speech acts that change the world via their utterance and via words (Yule,2008), in other word it is way in expressing facts. This study is a qualitative study that has 4 purposes; they are to describe the various Declarative Acts used by the students, to identify the style of Language Program students’ Declarative Acts, to identify the errors committed by students in their Declarative Acts in term of grammar and diction, and to identify the source of errors in their Declarative Acts. The subjects of this study are the eleventh grade students of Language Program at SMA Negeri 1 Tejakula. This study used elicitation technique and recorder, interview guide, and field note as the instruments in collecting the data. The data collection then were transcribed, analyzed and categorized, and then the result were described. The result of this study shows the Language Program students mostly produced five categories of Declarative Acts which the most dominant is to approve, then followed by to disapprove, to name, to call, and the last is to bless. The Language Program Students mostly produced Declarative Acts in informal language and followed by formal language. They also were not far from committing the errors. They frequently committed grammatical errors then followed by diction. From the students’ errors, there were five sources that caused errors in their Declarative Acts; they are interlingual errors, ignorance of rule restrictions, incomplete application of rules, false concept hypothesized, and developmental errors.keyword : Speech Acts, Declarative Acts, Language Program students

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa kelas 10 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan dalam berbicara bahasa inggris menggunakan video sebagai media pembelajaran. Subjek dari Penelitian ini adalah kelas 10 SMA N 1 Sawan dengan jumlah 26 murid. Penelitian ini menggunakan procedure classroom action research (FTK) dan diselesaikan dalam dua siklus. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan video sebagai media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kompetensi siswa kelas 10 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan. Hasil post-test II menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata yg diproleh dari murid kelas 10 berjumlah 78. Sedangkan hasil test awal (Pre-test) nilai rata-rata yg diproleh berjumlah 63,23. Persentase sejumlah murid yang lulus tes juga meningkat dari 57,69% menjadi 30,77%. Hasil dari persentase kelulusanyang diproleh dari post-test II dengan jumlah 88,46% sudah melebihi dari target yang ditetapkan dengan jumlah 85,00%. Hasil kuesioner juga menunjukkan bahwa murid memberikan kesan yang positif terhadap pembelajaran bahasa inggris dengan menggunakan video sebagai media. Pembelajaran bahasa inggris menggunakan video sebagai media dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan konsentrasi belajar siswa.Kata Kunci : Video, Berbicara, Pengajaran Berbicara, Kemampuan Berbicara Abstract This study aimed at improving the competence of the tenth grade students of Senior High School Number 1 Sawan in academic English Speaking through video as teaching media. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade students of Senior High School Number 1 Sawan which consisted of 26 students. The study was conducted by following the action research procedures ad it was completed in two cycles. The result of the study showed that competence of the tenth grade student in English speaking could be improved by using videos. The result of post-test II showed that the students’ mean score was 78 which significantly improved from the pre-test result that was 63,23. The class percentage of the students passing the test 57,69% to 30,77%. The total class percentage of the students passing test was 88,46% which was beyond the expected target which was 85,00%. Based on the questionnaire result, the students also had positive response towards the implementation of the videos. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi makna kata “rose” pada tiga jenis puisi yang berjudul “A Red, Red Rose”, “A White Rose” dan “How Roses Came Red”. Makna kata “rose” pada tiga puisi tersebut disampaikan melalui figurative languages dan tone. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah textual analysis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa makna kata “rose” pada tiga puisi tersebut adalah pengetahuan. Selain itu, ketiga puisi ini menyampaikan hal yang sama, yaitu antusiasme. Antusiasme merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam mencapai sebuah pengetahuan. Antusiasme berperan sebagai usaha yang dilakukan oleh speaker dalam mendapatkan sebuah pengetahuan. Dalam prosesnya, speaker juga menghadapi beberapa hambatan. Semua hambatan tersebut hanya mampu dilewati dengan memiliki antusiasme. Tanpa adanya antusiasme maka sangatlah mustahil untuk bisa mendpatkan pengetahuan. Pengetahuan yang dimaksud adalah puisi. Puisi merupakan salah satu subjek yang mampu menyampaikan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan adalah hal yang indah, manis, abadi dan antusias. Kata Kunci : rose, symbol, puisi The purpose of this study was to identify the meaning of rose in three poems entitled “A Red, Red Rose”, “A White Rose” and “How Roses Came Red”. This study used textual analysis as the method for analyzing the meaning of rose in three poems as delivered through figurative languages and tone at each poem. The result of analysis showed the meaning of rose was knowledge. Furthermore, these poems also delivered the same point. It was passion. Passion was highly needed to get the knowledge. The passion acted as the effort of the speaker to have the knowledge. The passion directed the speaker to do something. It helped the speaker to get the knowledge easier. In the process of getting the knowledge, the speaker found some obstacles. All the obstacles could only be passed by having the passion. Without having passion, it was impossible for getting the knowledge. The knowledge meant in this study was poetry. Poetry was one of the subjects which delivered the knowledge. This study showed the knowledge was very beautiful, sweet, eternal and passion. keyword : rose, symbol, poetry

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki apakah ada atau tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam prestasi berbicara antara siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik round robin dan mereka yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik praktek percakapan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Post-test Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas tujuh SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja dan penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Kelas VIIB 4 terpilih sebagai kelas ekperimen dimana tehnik round robin digunakan dan kelas VIIB 5 terpilih sebagai kelas kontrol dimana teknik praktek percakapan digunakan. Hasil analis data menunjukan siswa di kelas ekperimen medapatkan hasil yang lebih baik daripada siswa di kelas control. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil statistik deskriptif yang menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen adalah 8,5 sedangkan nilai rata-rata dari kelompok kontrol adalah 7,9. Slain itu, hasil dari uji t-test juga menunjukkan bahwa nilai tob lebih besar dari tcv tersebut. Nilai tob itu-5,726 sedangkan nilai Tcv adalah1,99162 (α = 0,05). Ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan prestasi berbicara yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik round robin dan mereka yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik praktek percakapan. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa round robin teknik dapat meningkatkan prestasi siswa dalam berbicara.Kata Kunci : teknik round robin, teknik praktek percakapan, prestasi dalam berbicara. This study aimed at investigating whether or not there was significant difference in speaking achievement between students who were taught by using round robin technique and those who were taught by using conversation practice technique. The research design used in this study was Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population in this study was seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja and the samples of study were selected by using Cluster Random Sampling. Class VIIB 4 was assigned as the experimental group, which was taught by using round robin technique while class VIIB 5 as the control group, which was taught by using conversation practice technique. The result of the data analysis showed that students in the experimental group performed better than the students in the control group. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 8.5 while the mean score of the control group was 7.9. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of the tob was higher than the tcv. The value of the tob was -5.726, while the value of the tcv was1.99162 (α = 0.05). It means that there was a significant difference speaking achievement on the students who were taught using round robin technique and those who were taught by using conversation practice technique. It was concluded that round robin technique can improve students’ speaking achievement. keyword : round robin technique, conversation practice technique, speaking achievement.

Abstract

Peneliatian ini berbentuk penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan suatu produk. Adapun produk yang dikembangkan yaitu instrument penilaian pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang berbasis budaya lokal untuk kelas VII SMP semester ganjil di Kecamatan Buleleng. Produk ini diharapkan mampu menunjang pengimplementasian Kurikulum 2013. Model peneliatian dan pengembangan diadopsi dari model penelitian dan pengembembangan oleh Peffers et al. (2007) dalam Ellis dan Levy (2010) yang terdiri dari enam tahapan penelitian. Penelitian ini didasari oleh penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh Dewi dan Batan (2015). Setting dari penelitian ini adalah 9 SMP di Kecamatan Buleleng. Nilai-nilai budaya Bali dan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter diintegrasikan dalam instrumen penilaian. Instrumen tersebut meliputi penilaian terhadap sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan siswa. Data yang diperoleh dalam peneliatian diolah secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kualitas dari instrument penialaian telah diujikan melalui panel ahli. Terdapat 3 aspek telah diuji oleh ahli, meliputi aspek validitas, reliabilitas, dan kepraktisan. Berdasarkan nilai yang diberikan oleh kedua ahli, kualitas dari instrument penilaian tergolong sempurna. Nilai oleh ahli pertama adalah 642 dan ahli kedua adalah 807. Reliabilitas data diukur menggunakan koefisien Alpha Cronbach’s. Hasilnya, reliabilitas produk adalah 0.997 dan dapat digolongkan sebagai sempurna. Produk instrumen penilaian yang berbasis budaya ini memiliki kualitas dan reliabilitas sempurna. Kata Kunci : Instrumen Penilaian, Penilaian Bahasa Inggris, Budaya Bali, dan Kurikulum 2013 This research was aimed at designing and developing English assessment by accommodating local culture for the first semester of grade seven of junior high schools in Buleleng sub-district to support the implementation of curriculum 2013. This research was designed as a research and development by following RnD model proposed by Peffers et.al (2007) in Ellis and Levy (2010) which consisted of six steps. The data of need analysis were obtained from the result of Dewi and Batan (2015) research and analysis the syllabus. Settings of this research were nine junior high schools in Buleleng sub-district. Balinese cultural values and character values in the assessment were integrated through the assessment instrument. The assessment covered affective domain, cognitive domain, and psychomotor domain. The data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The quality of the assessment instrument was assessed through expert judgment to determine its worthiness. Three aspects in the assessment were assessed through the expert judgment forms, namely validity, reliability, and the practical aspect. Based on the scores given by two experts, the quality of the assessment instrument was categorized as excellent quality since the score given by expert I was 642 and expert II was 807. The reliability of the data was measured by using Alpha Cronbach’s coefficient. The result showed that α Cronbach’s coefficient was 0.997 and it was categorized as excellent. Abstract

Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas yang telah dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa di kelas VIIIB di SMP N 1 Banjar tahun ajaran 2015/2016 melalui penerapan teknik Reading Response Journal. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri empat kegiatan utama yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Untuk mengumpulkan data, ada tiga jenis instrument yang digunakan yaitu tes, angket, dan catatan harian peniliti. Data yang didapat dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dalam pre-test dan post-test dianalisis secara kuantitatif, sedangkan data dari angket dan catatan harian peniliti dianalisis scera kualitatif. Berdasarkan dari hasil tes siswa dalam pre-test, hanya 12,5% siswa melewati KKM (kriteria kelulusan minimal). Tetapi dalam post-test I, hasilnya meningkat menjadi 57.5% siswa, dan terakhir pada post-test II, kriteria pencapaian sudah mencapai 87.5% siswa yang secara sukses melewati KKM (criteria kelulusan minimal). Dengan kata lain, kesuksesan dari penelitian juga berdasarkan dari hasil angket dan catatan harian peneliti yang menunjukkan sikap positif siswa terhadap penerapan dari teknik Reading Response Journal dalam kegiatan membaca siswa.Kata Kunci : pemahaman membaca, strategi Reading Response Journal, penelitian tindakan kelas, siswa kelas delapan This study was categorized as classroom action research which was done to improve the students’ reading comprehension at Class VIIIB in SMP N 1 Banjar in the academic year 2015/2016 through the implementation of Reading Response Journal strategy. This study was done in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four main activities namely planning, action, observation and reflection. To collect the data, there were three kinds of instruments used namely tests, questionnaire, and researcher’s diary. The data obtained in this study were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The data gained in pre-test and post-test were analyzed quantitatively, while the data from questionnaire and researcher’s diary were analyzed qualitatively. Based on the result of this study, it was found that the students’ reading comprehension in Class VIIIB in SMP N 1 Banjar had improved significantly. It was indicated by the result of students’ tests in which in pre-test, there were only 12.5% students passing the school passing grade. But in post-test I, the number increased into 57.7% students, and finally in post-test II, the criteria of success reached as 87.5% students could successfully passed the standard passing score. In addition, the success of the study was also based on the results of the questionnaire as well as the researcher’s diary which showed the students’ positive attitudes toward the implementation of the Reading Response Journal strategy in their reading activities.keyword : reading comprehension, Reading Response Journal strategy, classroom action research, eighth grade students.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum di Indonesia memberi dampak yang signifikan pada sistem pendidikan serta pengembangan materi. Kurikulum 2013 yang mendasari perkembangan buku teks dalam pendidikan di Indonesia terlibat dalam polemik. Meski demikian terdapat banyak penelitian tentang pengembangan bahan ajar berdasarkan kurikulum ini, khususnya buku teks. Sebagai contoh, buku berjudul “Step into the English World: A Character-based Textbook for Junior High School Grade VIII” yang dikembangkan oleh seorang mahasiswa dari Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha berdasarkan kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini, sama halnya dengan penelitian sejenis terkait analisis buku teks bertujuan untuk mengetahui masalah yang guru dan siswa hadapi dalam pelaksanaan buku pelajaran, kualitas umum buku teks dan kesesuaiannya dengan penerapan kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buku teks yang berkualitas harus menekankan pada kelebihannya dan membatasi kekurangan berdasar teori Richards (2001). Selanjutnya, buku teks harus memenuhi kriteria buku teks yang baik untuk setiap aspek evaluasi yang tersaji pada checklist yang telah divalidasi oleh beberapa evaluator ahli. Temuan penelitian ini menentukan apakah buku teks yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap masalah pelaksanaan pada kurikulum ini. Hasil penelitian ini akan membawa beberapa kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia secara umum, dan khususnya dalam pengembangan buku teks berdasarkan kurikulum 2013.Kata Kunci : kurikulum 2013, analisis buku teks, kualitas buku teks, checklist The curriculum reform in Indonesia gave a significant effect on the education system as well as the material development. Although the latest change into the Curriculum 2013 which provides the blue print for the development of the textbooks nationally in Indonesian education is caught in polemic, there are many books designed in accordance with this curriculum. One of the examples was a textbook entitled “Step into the English World: A Character-based Textbook for Junior High School Grade VIII” which was written by a student of Ganesha University of Education. The recent study was aimed at finding out the problems that the teacher and students encountered in the implementation of the textbook, the textbook’s general quality and its suitability to the recently applied curriculum 2013. This research found out that there were still many problems in the implementation of the textbook, even though the textbook’s general quality was classified as good and was relevant with the curriculum 2013. This study suggests that in order to bring out a quality textbook, the advantages of the textbook should be strengthened and the disadvantages should be limited. Furthermore, textbook should meet the criteria of good textbook for each the evaluated aspects presented on checklist which had been validated by some judges. The findings of this research will be significant in determining whether or not the textbook developed laid down by the curriculum 2013 contributes a significant effect to the current issues of the curriculum 2013 implementation problems. The result will bring out some significant contributions on the development of the Indonesian education in general, the textbook development in regard to the curriculum 2013 in particular.keyword : curriculum 2013, textbook analysis, quality textbook, checklist

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian berbasis budaya untuk semester genap kelas VII SMP di Kecamatan Buleleng untuk mendukung implementasii Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian dan pengembangan. Model dari penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu model penelitian dan pengembembangan oleh Peffers et al. (2007). Penelitian ini berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya yang telah dilakukan oleh Dewi dan Batan (2015). Instrumen penilaian Bahasa Inggris yang cocok untuk semester genap kelas VII SMP di Kabupaten Buleleng yaitu instrumen penilaian yang mengintegrasikan budaya lokal untuk mendukung pengembangan karakter siswa. Langkah-langkah pengembangan instrumen penilaian ini meliputi analisis tujuan, analisis standar penilaian, analisis silabus, analisis sumber bahan ajar, mendesain kisi-kisi, pengembangan instrumen penilaian, penilaian ahli, dan revisi. Pengembangan penilaian ini menghasilakan instrumen penilaian Bahasa Inggris yang digunakan untuk menilai ranah afektif, cognitif, dan psikomotor. Reliabilitas dan kualitas dari instrument penilaian yang telah dikembangakan diperoleh dengan memberikan lembar penilaian untuk ahli penilaian dan ahli pembelajaran Bahasa inggris. Nilai yang diberikan oleh kedua ahli yaitu ahli pertama memberikan nilai sebesar 650 dan ahli kedua memberikan nilaii sebesar 802. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kualitas instrumen peniaian yaitu sangat baik. Reliabilitas instrumen penilaian juga dikategorikan sangat baik dimana nilai dari Alpha Cronbach’s coefficient sebesar 0,9. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian cocok digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah yang mengimplementasikan Kurikulum 2013.Kata Kunci : Budaya Bali, Penilaian Bahasa Inggris, dan Kurikulum 2013 This research aimed at developing culture-based English language assessment instrument for the second semester of grade seven of junior high school in Buleleng Sub-district to support the implementation of Curriculum 2013. This research was categorized as research and development (RnD). Research and development model which was used in this research proposed by Peffers et.al (2007). This research was based on previous research which had been conducted by Dewi and Batan (2015). The suitable English assessment for the second semester of grade seven of junior high school was English assessment with integrated Balinese culture in order to support the development of character building. The steps of developing this English assessment instrument included assessment goal analysis, assessment standard analysis, syllabus analysis, learning source analysis, designing blue print, developing assessment, expert judgment, and revision. This research produced English assessment instrument which assessed students’ affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. The reliability and quality of the developed assessment instrument were found out by giving expert judgment form to the experts of assessment and English language teaching. The scores which were given by the two experts were 650 from the first expert and 802 from the second expert. Based on those scores, the quality of the developed English assessment instrument was categorized as excellent. The reliability of the data was categorized as excellent in which the score of Alpha Cronbach’s coefficient was 0.9. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi kesalahan dalam terjemahan lirik-lirik lagu pada film La La Land, dan (2) mengelompokkan kesalahan dalam terjemahan lirik-lirik lagu pada film La La Land. Penelitian ini di desain secara deskriptif kualitatif. Ada lima buah lagu yang digunakkan sebagai subjek dari penelitian ini yang berjudul Another Day of Sun, Someone in the Crowd, A Lovely Night, City of Stars, and Audition (The Fools Who Dream). Kesalahan-kesalahan yang terdapat pada terjemahan lirik-lirik lagu merupakan objek dari penelitian ini. Untuk mengambil data digunakan beberapa metode seperti menonton film, membuat catatan, dan mebuat transkripsi. Setelah itu data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasilnya adalah, ditemukan 186 kesalahan pada makna, kealamian, irama dan sajaknya. Terdapat 25 atau 20% kesalahan pada maknanya, 39 atau 31% kesalahan pada kealamiannya, 107 atau 86% kesalahan pada iramanya, dan 15 atau 12% kesalahan pada sajaknya. Secara terperinci, pada lagu Another Day of Sun, ditemukan 10 or 33% kesalahan pada maknanya, 17 atau 56% kesalahan pada keaalamiannya, 29 or 97% kesalahan pada iramanya, dan 5 atau 16% kesalahan pada sajaknya. Pada lagu Someone in the Crowd, ditemukkan 6 atau 24% kesalahan pada maknanya, 7 or 28% kesalahan pada kealamiannya, 25 atau 96% kesalahan pada iramanya, dan 5 atau 20% kesalahan pada sajaknya. Kemudian, pada lagu A Lovely Night, ditemukkan 2 atau 5% kesalahan pada maknanya, 5 atau 14% kesalahan pada kealamiannya, 32 atau 74% kesalahan pada iramanya, dan 2 or 5% kesalahan pada sajaknya. Pada lagu City of Stars, ditemukkan 1 atau 12% kesalahan pada maknanya, 1 atau 12% kesalahan pada kealamiannya, 8 atau 62% kesalahan pada iramanya, dan 0 atau 0% kesalahan pada sajaknya. Yang terkahir pada lagu Audition (The Fools Who Dream), ditemukkan 5 atau 22% kesalahan pada maknanya, 9 atau 33% kesalahan pada kealamiannya, 24 atau 88% kesalahan pada iramanya, dan 3 atau 11% kesalahan pada sajaknya. Permasalah terbanyak dapat ditemukkan pada irama dari lirik- lirik lagu film La La Land dengan 107 (86%) kesalahan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerjemah lirik lagu pada film La La Land tidak berhasil mempertahankan irama lagu yang menjadi nilai penting pada terjemahan lagu karena adanya perbedaan antara bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris.Kata Kunci : Terjemahan Audiovisual, terjemahan lagu, subtitle, kesalahan pada terjemahan This study aimed at (1) identifying the errors in the translation of song lyrics in La La Land movie, and (2) classifying the errors in the translation of song lyrics in La La Land movie. This study was designed descriptive qualitatively. There were five songs used as the subjects of the study, namely Another Day of Sun, Someone in the Crowd, A Lovely Night, City of Stars, and Audition (The Fools Who Dream). The errors in the translation of song lyrics were the object of this study. Several methods, namely streaming, note taking, and transcribing were used in gaining the data. The data finding were analyzed qualitatively. It was found that there are 186 errors in terms of sense, naturalness, rhythm, and rhyme that can be identified from the songs. There are 25 or 20% errors in terms of sense, 39 or 31% errors in terms of naturalness, 107 or 86% errors in terms of rhythm, and 15 or 12% errors in terms of rhyme. In detail, in Another Day of Sun, there are 10 or 33% errors found in terms of sense, 17 or 56% errors in terms of naturalness, 29 or 97% errors in terms of rhythm, and 5 or 16% errors in terms of rhyme. In Someone in the Crowd, there are 6 or 24% errors in terms of sense, 7 or 28% errors in terms of naturalness, 25 or 96% errors in terms of rhythm, and 5 or 20% errors in terms of rhyme. Then, in A Lovely Night, there are 2 or 5% errors in terms of sense, 5 or 14% errors in terms of naturalness, 32 or 74% errors in terms of rhythm, and 2 or 5% errors in terms of rhyme. In City of Stars, there are 1 or 12% errors in terms of sense, 1 or 12% errors in terms of naturalness, 8 or 62% errors in terms of rhythm, and 0 or 0% error in terms of rhyme. Last, in Audition (The Fools Who Dream), there are 5 or 22% errors in terms of sense, 9 or 33% errors in terms of naturalness, 24 or 88% errors in terms of rhythm, and found 3 or 11% errors in terms of rhyme. The highest errors can be found in the rhythm of song lyrics with 107 (86%) errors. It can be concluded that the translator was unsuccessful in retain the rhythm of the song that becomes the essential value in song translation because of the gap between Indonesian and English Language.keyword : Audiovisual translation, song translation, subtitle, translation error

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki apakah ada dampak yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa kelas XII yang diajar menggunakan Graphic Organizer dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik konvensional. Penelitian ini dalam bentuk penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental). Post-test Only Control Group digunakan sebagai desain penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA N 1 Sukawati. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 75 siswa yang telah dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik sampel random atau acak; terdiri dari 37 siswa kelas XII IPA 2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 38 siswa kelas XII IPA 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dampak yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa kelas XII yang diajar menggunakan Graphic Organizer (t = 3.44 and ttable = 1.99; t ttable pada taraf signifikansi 5%) dimana siswa yang diajar menggunakan Graphic Organizer menunjukkan pemahaman membaca yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan Graphic Organizer memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa kelas XII di SMA N 1 Sukawati tahun ajaran 2015/2016. This research was Quasi-Experimental research. Post-Test Only Control Group was used as the design of this research. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Sukawati. The population of this research was the twelfth grade students in academic year 2015/2016. The sample was 75 students that were selected through random sampling; 37 students of XII IPA as experimental group and 38 students of XII IPA 3 as control group. The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant effect on reading comprehension of the twelfth grade students who were taught by using Graphic Organizer (t = 3.44 and ttable = 1.99; t ttable on the level of significance 5%) in which the students who were taught by using Graphic Organizer performed better reading comprehension than who were taught by using conventional technique. Based on this result, it could be inferred that Graphic Organizer gave significant effect on the twelfth grade students’ reading comprehension compared at SMA N 1 Sukawati academic year 2015/2016. keyword : Graphic Organizer, EFL, Reading Comprehension.
