Abstract

The research aim is to examine the influence of working capital turnover, current ratio, cash ratio, firm size and return on assets toward debt to equity ration in the tourism industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This is a quantitative research which takes data from the company’s audited financial statement. There are five independent variables which are being examined by descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypotheses testing. The population of this research is tourism companies and stores 10 samples of companies fulfilled certain criteria in the period of 2012-2018 annually. The technique used for multiple linear regression panel data is the random effect model. The outcomes reveal a value of adjusted R-squared towards dependent variable is 33.22% and the independent variables of working capital turnover, current ratio, firm size and return on assets have a significant influence on debt to equity ratio in hypotheses testing. The most significant independent variable influences debt to equity ratio in the tourism industry sector in Indonesia is working capital turnover. High working capital turnover indicates this shortage of working capital which may be due to high inventory turnover, accounts receivable or cash balances that are too small.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with plenty of natural resource and recently Indonesia needs investment in the mining sector reached IDR 830 trillion by 2014 in the context of the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesias Economic Development (MP3EI). In order to reach target, the researcher analyzing the effect of export mining sector, exchange rate, interest rate on foreign direct invesment mining sector in Indonesia during 2009 - 2012. This research using quantiative analysis with secondary data. Quantitative analysis consists of classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing by T test and F test, and determination coefficient (R2) analysis. Hypothesis test using T test shows that partially exchange rate have significant influence on FDI mining sector in Indonesia, but export mining sector and interest rates not significant on FDI mining sector in Indonesia, with α = 5%. Export mining sector has a positive effect while exchange rate and interest rates have a negative effect to FDI mining sector in Indonesia. F test showed that all independent variable are adequate to test dependent variable, means that independent variable have a significant effect into dependent variable with F score is 7.844. Adjusted R2 is 0.323 shows that 32.3% can be explained by the independent variables (Export mining sector, Exchange rates, and Interest Rates), and the other 67.7% is explained by other causes outside the model.

Abstract

Bekasi government has a sense of a desire to reduce the volume of waste going into landfill by implementing the concept of reduce, reuse, recycle (3R). The government's program to reduce waste volume has fostered new innovations from the community by establishing a ‘Bank Sampah’. Bank sampah is the concept of dry waste collection and sorting as well as having appropriate management of banking, not the money saved, but trash. Empowerment of citizens can be done by counseling, education, training with the method of interaction and communication, as well as dialogue. The objective of this activity is to describe and analyze the factors that drive, the impact and the constraints of the formation and functioning of bank sampah at RT 004/RW009, Cikarang Utara, Bekasi. The method was observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that there are some factors that encourage it, namely the factors of government, society and the private sector (entrepreneurs). Support comes from the community such as of PKK driving team, environmental cadres, citizens, stall traders both factories, collectors of used goods and individual scrubbers. Bank sampah provides benefits to citizens, especially the direct benefits with reduced waste generation in the community, the environment becomes more clean and beautiful, green, comfortable, and healthy as well as the economic independence of citizens. Integrated waste management can stimulate creativity and innovation so as to improve the social welfare.

Abstract

This research aims to empirically prove the influence of debt to total assets ratio, capital adequacy ratio, total assets turnover, return on assets, and good corporate governance towards financial distress by Altman Z-Score. This research uses the population of Islamic banks published in the Financial Service Authority during the period 2013-2018, where the data is collected from official bank websites. Adopting a quantitative research and has 72 observations from 12 banks in six years. The result shows that capital adequacy ratio and return on assets have significant positive influence towards financial distress. While debt to total assets ratio has the significant negative influence to financial distress. However, total assets turnover and good corporate governance have a negative insignificant influence to Financial Distress. Simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant influence on financial distress, which is indicated by a value of 59.9%.

Abstract

Tujuan studi ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh economic value added (EVA), market value added (MVA), likuiditas dan firm size terhadap harga saham di industri perdagangan bidang retail. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 12 perusahaan selama periode 2012-2016 di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data sekunder yang diambil mengacu laporan keuangan yang dipublikasikan secara tahunan. Tahapan prosesnya melalui analisa deskripsi yang meliputi rata-rata, minimum, maksimum dan standar deviasi. Proses selanjutnya uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri dari uji normalitas, heterokedastisitas, multikolinearitas, autokorelasi dan diestimasikan dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel EVA, MVA dan firm size berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap harga saham, sedangkan likuiditas berkontribusi negatif signifikan. Selanjutnya seluruh variabel bebas mempunyai efek signifikan terhadap variabel terikat. EVA memiliki nilai yang paling tinggi perannya dibanding variabel lainnya. Nilai proporsi yang digambarkan dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 85,6% dan sisanya 14,4% yang tidak dijelaskan dalam riset ini.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze internal factor n bank performance was influenced by usingmacroeconomic factor as control variable. The determinants used for internal factor ofbank consist of size, liquidity, capital and credit risk with control variable such as GDPand inflation. Quantitative method is used and for the sample suddenly stand up from 15banks with specific criteria that include in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Based on themultiple regression conclude that concluded size, capital, credit risk and inflation havesignificant positive effect on Return on Asset, while liquidity and GDP have a significantnegative effect on Return on Asset.

Abstract

This research aimed to empirically examine the determinants of profitability of Sharia rural banks in Indonesia with quarterly period of time from 2014Q1 to 2018Q3. This research uses cross-sectional data of quarterly financial report and macroeconomic variables in Indonesia. The study is processed and analyzed quantitatively by using multiple regression. This research is using 8 Sharia rural banks in Indonesia with the total of 152 data used. The research reveals that inflation and NPF have no significant influence towards profitability of Sharia rural banks in Indonesia. While, the other four variables, GDP, CAR, FDR and OER are significantly influence the profitability of Sharia rural banks in Indonesia as much as 31.6%. In terms of variables, GDP, CAR and FDR are positively significant influence the profitability, while OER has negatively significant influence the profitability of Sharia rural banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of personal and psychological factors toward consumer purchase decision of PeterSaysDenim in Bandung. Those factors are important to the company because it would influence in consumer purchase decision on company’s product. This research uses quantitative analysis with has six independent variables (motivation, belief and attitudes, occupation, economic situation, personality and self-concept, and lifestyle) and one dependent variable (purchase decision). The analysis method that is used in this research is multiple linear regressions. The result shows that, there are partial significant influence of motivation, personality and self-concept, and lifestyle, and no partial significant influence toward consumer purchase decision. There is simultaneous significant influence of motivation, belief and attitudes, occupation, economic situation, personality and self-concept, and lifestyle toward consumer purchase decision with adjusted R square is 47.8%. The most significance value from all independent variables toward dependent variable is lifestyle.

Abstract

This research purposes to describe the implementation of 7P’s marketing strategy at PT Hanna Instruments Indotama towards purchase decision. In this research using some indicators which one is like product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence. To collecting the data there are 97 respondents who are using Hanna Instruments product through questionnaire at several industries located in Bandung. The research method applied a quantitative method with descriptive approach using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) analysis. The consequences of this research show that price, promotion and place has no influence to purchase decision. It can conclude 4 out of 7 hypotheses show a significant influence on purchase decision. The influence of product, people, process, physical evidence. The implementation of 7P’s as marketing strategy toward purchase decision accounts for 61.9% and the other 38.1% is account for another factor that does not discussed.

Abstract

Every company has to be able to adapt with the environment in order to survive in the middle of the condition as mentioned. Therefore, the management is supposed to manage their organization in a good manner and more professional to plan and control the company’s activities. PT. Jaya Indah Casting as a multinational company is selected as a study case for a research that aims to analyze the external and internal business environment; identify and evaluate business strategic implemented; find the future alternative strategic to be implemented by the company. The external business environment is analyzed by common business environment (economic, political, ecology and technology), Porter’s competitive forces, driving forces and key success factors. The internal business environment will be analyzed by SWOT method, organization structure, financial reports, process mapping, contingency plan and benchmarking, which altogether will be combined to formulate business strategic for the future. Results show that to survive the development and win the competition, PT. Jaya Indah Casting should implement growing strategic, operational strategic (new field and new product, new customer, quality and customer satisfaction), location and machine/tools maintenance.
