Abstract

Social big data is the recently popular for big data management with a new approach that specifically refers to data generated from social media. Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta as a reputable higher education institution with social media accounts @UMYogya, is a potential contributor in the context of big data. This research is a descriptive study that aims to reveal the potential of social media @UMYogya quantitatively by using tools in the form of social media analytics features. Social media as a mid-tier influencer has an intense engagement with its social media viewers at a significant level, by implementing a social media management scheme that refers to the big social data diagram, social media @UMYogya as a representation of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta potentially increasing the ‘impact’, involving stakeholders and developing social media by referring to the potential of social big data itself.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of TGT learning model and flash card media toward students learning activity and material understanding. This study was designed using not equevalent group pretest posttest design. The samples were students of grade X1 and X2 and it was established by purposive sampling. The qualitative data of students learning activity was collected by observation sheet, and students respons was collected by questionnaire, then it was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data of material understanding was collected by an average value of pretest, posttest and N-Gain, then it was analyzed statistically using t-test and U-test. The results of this study showed an increased students learning activity with percentage 80,16% as high criteria, but it was not influence significantly to students material understanding of Plant Kingdom. The N-gain average of material understanding on C1 indicator was 92,8617,93; and C3 indicator was 32,7127,79 were not different significantly. While, C2 indicator was 86,5424,13 different significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran TGT dengan media kartu bergambar terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa penguasaan materi siswa diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar yaitu 80,16% dengan kriteria tinggi, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi Dunia Tumbuhan. Rata-rata N-gain penguasaan materi pada indikator C1 sebesar 92,8617,93; dan indikator C3 sebesar 32,7127,79 tidak berbeda signifikan, namun indikator C2 sebesar 86,5424,13 berbeda signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, kartu bergambar, penguasaan materi, TGT

Abstract

This research is conducted to describe caring extent of Kompas and Media Indonesia towards child education in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam province after tsunami disaster, using content analysis approach. Data was analyzed using ’intercoder reliability’ to measure degree of reliability between coders and media. Agenda Setting and Social Responsibility theories are used to depict media roles on instructing what should be considered by daily readers, in order to portray media social responsibilities, indicating media regard ness. Research final gains, showing that Kompas and Media Indonesia, as printed mass media representations, possessing poor average of caring extent towards child education in post-apocalyptic region, by the amount of 42, 86 %. Amongst seven indicators of research, there are only three indicators that refer to significant degree of caring extent foreshortening medias’ social responsibility, i.e; news title readability applying substantive method, using comprehendable words; informant selection congruent with news theme; news angle emphasizing certain indicator taken from 5W+1H concept.

Abstract

The Program of Desa Maju Inhil Jaya is the superior program of the government periode 2013-2018. The objectives of this program are to escalate the prosperety and the opportunity of getting job for the people of the region by encourage the independence to determine the decision and the management of the sustainable development. The implementation of this program involved the people of the region such as planning, implementation, and maintenance due to increase the success of this program especially in infrastructure developmente of the region.The objective of this research is to find out the implementation of Desa Maju Inhil Jaya (DMIJ) program in infrastructure facility at Desa Limau Manis kecamatan Kemuning Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir by 2015. This research was conducted by using qualitative methoede and the data assessement by using descriptive methode. In collecting the data the writer used interview, observation and documentation of the key person in charge as the information resource.This reaearche showed that Desa Maju Inhil Jaya program in infrastructure facility at Desa Limau Manis Kecamatan Kemuning Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir 2015 contributed the advantage for the people, even though the implementation has not worked well due to limited human resource and cost to develope the infrastructure, and the lacked of people participation.Keywords: Impelemtation, Desa Maju Inhil Jaya, Infrastructure facility
